Hi, coco!
You could make a third part of Eminem x Young Actress Reader, where the reader accompanies him to a game in Detroit and the cameras can't stop focusing on them because Em has never been seen so smiling and affectionate with someone. For the rest you can add what you want. By the way, I love your work and I love that you write about Eminem since almost no one does.<3
Family Game

Eminem x Younger Actress Reader
Part 1 : Daddy’s Spaghetti
Part 2 : Red Carpet Appearance
AN : thank you for your request ! I hope you liked it. I added my own little twist to it 🥰
Ever since your remarked outing at the Oscars, everyone knew you and Marshall were dating, much to your delight. Sure, you would gladly do without the press coverage, but you’d be lying if you said it wasn’t a tiny bit satisfying to have everyone know that Eminem, hip hop’s most eligible bachelor was spoken for, by yours truly, no less. After all, you were not the first (nor the last) public figure to thirst over him and it felt nice to have the “competition” know that they should back off. Especially when you were in a long distance relationship : him in Detroit, you in LA. Sure, you trusted each other and often traveled to make it work but, still, it’s easy to get jealous, especially when both parties are public figures. Marshall was well aware of your status as Hollywood’s rising star and, since he had been your crush for years, you knew for a fact that he has tons of ladies throwing themselves at him.
In spite of the distance and a couple of jealousy episodes, the two of you managed to make your relationship work, however. Marshall frequently flew out to LA to record with Dr Dre and other artists and to visit you and, whenever you weren’t shooting a movie, you joined him in Michigan. Your relationship was now in the serious state of « we’re both hope at each other’s place ». Your living room table was full of CDs and notepads and his living room was made cozy with your favorite crystals (which he always made fun of), scented candles (which he secretly loved) and fuzzy blankets (which he stole whenever you weren’t around). The whole relationship, despite trials, felt cozy and domestic. And it was made even better by the fact that Marshall had finally managed to ease up. You tended to blame it on the good critical reception after the Oscars : as soon as the two of you had been spotted together, holding hands, Marshall happily gushing about you to the press, both your fans and his had showered you with love and showed nothing but support. Whenever you were positing, fans (most of the time, respectfully) asked about him and they seemed truly overjoyed by the relationship. From what you gathered in the social media comments, they were also dying for the two of you to be spotted together again. Marshall was pretty much an hermit and not the kind to go out and about when he knew he might be spotted but, on one occasion, he had to oblige the fans.
His beloved Detroit Lions were playing your Los Angeles Rams at Detroit’s Ford Field Stadium and there was no way in hell you would miss the occasion to attend. Knowing how protective of your relationship he could be, you made plans to attend on your own, with a couple of friends who would fly in for the occasion, but Marshall surprised you by actually requesting your presence.
Don’t you want to go with me ? He asked.
You mean… on a date ? You clarified.
I mean there would be other people around, like family, friends and shit but we could be together, he said with a smile.
You mean you would agree to being spotted with me ?! You asked jokingly. You know I wouldn’t be caught dead in Lions apparel !
What I mean is that I’d be proud to hold your hand, even if you’re wearing that stupid Rams hoodie, he grinned.
Ok, you giggled. As long as I’m not forced to cheer for your team !
You ended up attending the event in a private suite with a lot of other people. Of course, his children were in attendance, as well as a couple of D12 friends. You had met everyone previously. A couple of months into the relationship, Marshall had organized a dinner for you to officially meet his daughters and everything had gone smoothly. You absolutely loved them, and same went for the friends he had introduced to you on different occasions. At the game, you were also joined by a couple of your friends, that you not so secretly planned on setting up with some of his. In your mind, there was no doubt that Alicia and Porter were meant to be and the Game seemed like the perfect occasion. It was joyful and everyone was really happy to be here. You were donning your favorite Rams apparel, much to Marshall’s dismay, but that didn’t prevent him from casually holding your hand.
For how much would you wear Lions apparel ? Your friend jokingly asked.
Nobody in this room can afford it, you replied with a grin.
Oh really ? Marshall asked with a smirk.
How about if you guys get married ? Porter asked. Would you be willing to support the Lions ?
That would require a HUGE rock, you giggled. But yeah, sure, if we ever get married, I’ll wear Lions gear for all games, except the ones against the Rams.
Your friends erupted in « oooohs » and « aaaahs ». The rivalry between your two teams was enough to fuel a dozen of conversations but, other than that, everyone around you had to agree that you were kind of the perfect couple. Your best friends always pointed out that Marshall was good at keeping you grounded and reminding you of the things that mattered - besides all the LA glitz and glamour - and Marshall’s circle seemed happy that you encouraged him to go out of his comfort zone.
He was usually stressed out whenever there were tons of cameras around. It was unsettling to you, at first, because it was part of the job, but as your relationship progressed and he came with you to some events, he seemed to ease up. Still, he wasn’t big on public displays of affection, but you didn’t mind. You enjoyed his company nonetheless and you didn’t need him to kiss you in public or even hold your hand to be happy to be with him. In settings like football games, though, he was himself - the man you knew and loved in everyday life. He could be seen clapping, shouting, cheering… a far cry from the stoic face he arbored on red carpets and magazine covers. And you absolutely loved to see him enjoy himself and have fun. You were enamored with his smile and happy demeanor and you didn’t care too much about the 60 000 other people, you only had eyes for him. Obviously, though, as a Detroit native and global superstar, he was one of the centres of attention when Lose Yourself started playing before the game and everyone started singing/rapping along to the lyrics. Everyone in your group watched Marshall, who was definitely in a good mood. So were you, to be honest, and you couldn’t help but rap along, this song being one of your favorites ever. As the song ended, you could see Marshall sitting right next to you, trying not to laugh.
You’re adorable, he chuckled.
What ? You asked with a giggle. It’s the ultimate stadium song ! And my boyfriend is the one who wrote it !!!
I love you, he simply said before cupping your face and placing a chaste kiss on your lips.
That was the last tender moment the two of you shared before the end of the game. When your two favorite teams played each other, there was no romantic involvement anymore. It was all betting, taunting and calling each other names. For the first two quarters, the Rams seemed to dominate, which you gladly shoved in your boyfriend’s face, but when the Lions ended up winning, you knew you wouldn’t hear the end of it. Despite it all, and in spite of you being a sore loser, Marshall behaved like the perfect boyfriend and pecked you on the cheek, wrapping an arm around your shoulders as you exited your suite. His team winning always put him in a celebratory mood and he was more affectionate than usual, not giving a damn what people would see or think. He even went so far as to kiss your lips.
Of course, in the following hours, the Internet went absolutely crazy over the pictures of the two of you at the stadium. While some accounts were raving about your outfit (because you did put some effort into making that Sports apparel work !), most of them were gushing about Marshall’s display of affection and how in love the two of you looked.
« Look at his smile 🥰 » commented one, or « Look how in love he looks when she’s rapping his song 😭❤️ » were a few of the comments you could see under the videos of the event. It was extremely cute and, in moments like these, you felt like the luckiest woman on earth. However, a swarm of other comments started to appear, focusing on… Marshall’s daughters. The three of them were sitting on the row just behind you and they could be seen laughing at your nonexistent rapping skills (all fair, really) and mocking their father’s display of affection. You didn’t take offense at all - you’d been there yourself and you knew how icky it could feel, seeing your parent being affectionate with someone in public, but the press and social media accounts seemed to turn it into a family feud. If the headlines were to be believed, neither Alaina, Stevie or Hailie approved of the relationship and thought you were too young for Marshall. They apparently despised you and saw you as the most evil and wicked stepmother who was more than likely after their Dad’s fortune. Of course, reality couldn’t be further from the truth. Whenever you were in Detroit, you spent a great deal of time with Marshall’s daughters and you considered as friends. So much so that you even made plans of your own, that did not include him. It wasn’t rare for the four of you to have dinner or go shopping. On occasion, they even visited you in California and you soon planned to go on a girls’ trip in Morocco. So, when Hailie showed you the headline on your phone, everyone burst out laughing.
« Evil stepmother », Stevie chortled. That’s hilarious.
Is that because of the face you made, Hailie ? When Y/N was rapping ? Alaina chimed in.
I was making a face because they were corny ! She laughed. Look at Dad’s face on the video. He’s all cute and lovey dovey. Of course I wanted to puke !
Marshall rolled his eyes. He was no stranger to his kids making fun of how in love with you he was but, honestly, he didn’t care. For the first time in forever, he was happy and thriving in a relationship. A healthy one, at that. Whenever you were around, he could barely contain his joy and good mood and he often thought he would do anything to make you smile. He hated public attention but he simply loved showing you off and enjoying life with you. However, he had to admit he was a little annoyed by the comments involving your relationship with his daughters. He knew there was no truth to it whatsoever but that didn’t make it less annoying. First of all, he hated seeing his kids’ names in the media, especially if it was negative and, secondly, he hated the idea of lies involving all of you, the people he loved the most on this earth. However, the four of you were grown women and he knew better than to say something so he figured it would be best to wait for it to die down.
Unfortunately, though, the rumors did not die down and the whole thing got blown out of proportion. It wasn’t only on social media : press and other media outlets got ahold of the story and even dug up some obscure social media posts and took them out of context. They really made it seem like there was hatred between the girls and you were a mean gold-digger who wanted to estrange Marshall from his children. Nothing could be further for the truth though, and you even celebrated the holidays together. After years spent in the public eye, you tried not to let it get to you but it was hard. Even if some of your past relationships had been publicized, this one was on a whole other level and you had a hard time dealing with the scrutiny. Especially when some people were starting to wish for the end of your career with comments like « What a b****. Hope no one casts her ever again 🙄 » or « Hope she enjoys her Oscar because she won’t last much longer in Hollywood 💀 ». You tried not to let your feelings show. Marshall was already annoyed and you didn’t want things to get worse. After all, you knew how overprotective he could get over the people he loved.
A few weeks went by and the attention seemed to die down around the holidays. You had been with Marshall for a year and a half and it was your first time celebrating together. You would spend the days leading up to Christmas in Michigan, go back to your family in California for the holidays and then jet off to a private Island lent by a friend for some vacation time just the two of you. Marshall would even join you in LA to spend some time with your family who was definitely approving of him. They absolutely adored him and considered him a part of the family.
In the week leading up to Christmas, you were on Christmas tree decoration duty with the girls while Marshall was letting you do your thing. Hailie had come up with some ornaments as merch for her podcast and you thought it would be cute and funny to take a selfie with one of them that said « Shady or Nice ». You posted it to your Instagram account with some cheesy caption and didn’t pay it too much attention. When you checked the comments, a day or so later, you were surprised at the reaction. What you thought would be a cute nod to your boyfriend and his daughter’s podcast ended up in a shitstorm, with people basically accusing you on sucking up to Hailie to get to Marshall. In their mind, you were a master manipulator. Of course, these were just a bunch of people commenting and the rest seemed rather supportive and happy to see you acknowledging your relationship, something you rarely did on your social media account. Still, you were a little bugged off when you went to bed.
What’s up, babygirl ? Marshall asked as he laid next to you.
Nothing, you shrugged. Just these mean trolls.
What are they saying now ?
That your daughters hate me, you summed up. And that I’m trying to suck up to them.
That’s stupid, he scoffed. The girls love you and you know it.
And I love them too, you know ? You replied. But I don’t know… I don’t like people getting the wrong idea. And I see people commenting about me in their posts and it breaks my heart.
It’s not your fault, he said before kissing your forehead. Let’s not think about that, ok ? Just focus on the holidays and the great time we’re going to have.
I’m going to miss you for Christmas, you pointed out.
Three days, he chuckled. And then I’m joining you in California. And after that… you, me, a private island and your tiniest bikinis.
You nuzzled his neck and enjoyed the warmth of his embrace, making you forget all of your worries. The next day, you were set to hop on the jet to go back to California and enjoy some family time with your brother and your parents. Before that, you enjoyed one last brunch at Marshall’s place, with his daughters. Hailie got everyone matching ugly Christmas sweaters and you were absolutely moved that she got one for you. You took corny pictures in front of the Christmas tree posing with your boyfriend’s daughters while he was rolling his eyes at your dumb poses. You even got Marshall to pose with you. He wasn’t big on taking pictures but he knew how important these were for you and the girls so he obliged with a smile on his face. A few hours later, you were on the jet, scrolling social media and noticed that Alaina had posted the picture of you, her and her sisters in front of the Christmas Tree with the caption : « Happy holidays from our FAMILY to yours 💕 ». You thought it was the sweetest thing ever that she considered you as family. Of course, trolls were still in the comments, but you tried to stay positive. A few hours later, Hailie updated her last podcast episode of the year, with Stevie as guest.
So, before we begin this episode, we wanted to address something, she began.
Family matters, Stevie specified.
Right, Hailie nodded. You guys have been commenting a lot on last episode’s video and on my Instagram account…
All our accounts, her sister corrected.
Yes. Everyone’s account. It seems like Internet is going crazy about a certain video that was taken at the last Lions Game, so I thought… we thought we should clear things up, Hailie said. I understand that there are always going to be rumors about our family, and we can’t help it at this point, but it’s the Holidays and I don’t my mood to be ruined by negative attention and lies. So… Stevie, do you want to comment on the video ?
Basically, we were at the game, enjoying some family time and people filmed our reaction to Y/N… our Dad’s girlfriend, rapping Lose Yourself, Stevie explained. And kissing afterwards. And what really sparked the whole thing is the face Hailie made.
Yeah, I pretended to puke, Hailie giggled. And no, guys, it’s not because I hate Y/N or anything like that, it’s just… we’re a normal family, guys. Whenever you see your parents being cheesy and corny, you want to puke, right ?
Right, Stevie giggled. So, let’s not dwell on this but for the record : we love Y/N and she is not what people make her to be. We see her as family, you know ?
Yes ! It’s the Holidays, it’s a family time and we all know I love Shady stories but… nothing Shady here. It’s all love, Hailie chuckled.
Too much love, Stevie joked.
This warmed your heart even more. The girls absolutely didn’t have to jump to your defense but the fact that they did warmed your heart and you couldn’t wait to spend some time with them again. You sent texts to thank them and wished them happy holidays, saying you were looking forward to seeing them soon. You also texted your boyfriend, telling him how amazing his kids were and that you loved him and his family.
MARSHALL’S POV
Marshall was eating dinner with his daughters when he got a text from Y/N that immediately put a smile on his face.
You girls are amazing, he said with a smile.
No idea what you’re talking about, Alaina said with feigned innocence.
I think you do, he replied with a grin. Seriously, you didn’t have to do that but… thank you. It means a lot to me.
We weren’t going to let people think we hate her, Stevie said.
Not when she is actually about to become our stepmother, Hailie said with a smirk.
Marshall immediately let his fork fall on his plate, a look of surprise on his face.
I… erm… wanted to talk to you about it first, he said. How do you even know… ?
I found the ring sketches in your office last time I went there, Stevie said. I was searching for one of your old CDs.
And you had to go yapping to your sisters about that ? He asked with a raised eyebrow.
Are you really going to propose ? Hailie said with excitement.
I mean… I’ve been thinking about it, yeah, he admitted. I wanted to make sure you girls were ok with it first but, if that’s fine with you, I’d like to propose to her over the holidays.
The girls erupted in cheers and immediately gave their blessings, commenting on how they never thought this day would come. Of course, they quizzed him about his plans.
Were spending a couple of days with her family before going on vacation for NYE, so I was planning on asking for her father’s blessing, he explained.
Isn’t he like… almost your age, though ? Stevie chuckled.
It’s a matter of respect, he shrugged. I appreciated when Matt and Evan asked for my blessing so I thought I’d do the same. Can’t hurt to have your future father-in-law on your side.
And… as for the proposal ? Alaina asked.
I know it’s not super original but I was thinking of doing it on the private island, over a nice dinner on the beach, at sunset or something like that, he said.
It’s so cute ! Alaina said. I love it.
I think my Dad’s gone corny, Hailie joked.
You think it’s corny ? He asked with his eyebrows furrowed.
Oh definitely. But she’s just as corny so she is going to love it !
One question though, Stevie said. If you guys get married, she’ll move to Detroit, right ?
That’s sort of the plan, yeah, Marshall said. She’d move for work quite a bit, depending on where movies are shot, but she’d live with me. Why ?
So… she’d have to turn into a Lions fan eventually, right ?
I’m counting on it, he said with a smirk.
Is that why you’re proposing ? Alaina joked.
Maybe, he chuckled. I swear to God, I’m putting a ban on Rams apparel in the prenup.

Ivan, The Idea vs. Ivan, The Man
a totally serious Ivan Alien Stage analysis by yours truly, Sash @mobblespsycho100
-
( Quick Disclaimer that I'm mostly going to use the word "love" here in a romantic context, but trust me, I am doing an inherently aromantic/anti amatonormativity analysis/interpretation of Alien Stage by virtue of being an aro doing the essayin. )
-
The whole premise of this analysis is that in my opinion, Ivan, homotron 3000, king yaoi the 3rd, canonically does not recognize his feelings for Till as "love". And no, it's not just because the aliens don't have a concept for it or the way they were raised in Anakt Garden / by their pet owning humans (even though that's partly one of the reasons)– because we see Sua and Mizi sort of recognize that their feelings for one another are something akin to our modern definition of love – even if they don't have the words for it and even if it goes beyond that ('my god my universe')
So, why do I think this? a couple reasons! the main one being the Ivan centric comic we got after round 6, but let's start with the thesis of this analysis:
Ivan thinks his feelings are selfish, and does not consider the alternative that it might not be.
[ exhibit a: "thank you for being the victim of my shallow emotions"
but i wont get into that yet (says guy who is holding back to not talk abt it right away) ]
We're going to the very beginning to psychoanalyze king yaoi the 3rd, a little prelude if you will: ALIEN STAGE (Sweet Dream) & Black Sorrow brief discussion !
Alien stage (the video not . not the name of the series) is basically our introduction to the series and it is a banger. What's really interesting to me is that in the Ivan centric scenes it shows adult Ivan singing in alnst and smiling & staring at till with those homo eyes. The only time he's shown as a kid is in the Anakt garden singing practice group shot.
We can infer that he is a guy who I think cares abt his image or appearance, he looks like a very stereotypical image of an idol. However, his smile never really reaches his eyes. even when hes looking at Till, neither of them are smiling. Ivan only smiles on the stage, as he is performing. The careful and deliberate way he showcases himself is easy to see. He's charming, hes the thumbnail of the prologue! What's interesting to me is that there's really nothing that striking about his character design aside from the fact that his bangs are half covering his other eye (and what I mentioned abt the smile not quite reaching his eyes). There is a distance between him and the audience, the stage persona, not Ivan the man but Ivan the celebrity. Just another handsome face in the game.
Now, that initial character analysis isn't actually going to be all that relevant in this essay unfortunately (though I could definitely go into that! Maybe in an analysis comparing Ivan and Luka), but I really do like how the lyric that shows up on the [Ivantill] frame is "Live in Darkness" because it goes to my next point, Black Sorrow Ivan whos singing about himself and Till (him as the pov character and "you" as till, but I'm stating the obvious here). I'm not going over every lyric because this analysis would be way longer but basically, Black Sorrow is about the grief of never being able to reach someone who you want to be by your side forever so badly. Ivan understands that the ending of this contest is not a kind one, there is no field of flowers waiting for them after they win, only bloodshed.
"To me , you are black sorrow" says by the guy who wears all black and has eyes filled with sorrow. Alright all jokes aside though, I do enjoy the most widespread interpretation of the animation itself, that Ivan compares Till's nature to stars or a meteor shower in particular because of how that image is ingrained in his mind since childhood. I also think that Ivan associates Till with more of a candle always burning up, a star that has fallen to the dirt. A meteorite if you will, rock that made an impact and left a crater in Ivan's heart. He was always fascinated by the light in the dark sky. It represented beauty and hope to him, that maybe theres more to life than getting hurt. That there's light in the ever growing darkness as cliché as that sounds.
Till makes Ivan curious, more than anything. He enjoys aggravating him, making fun of him. Mizi is Ivan's friend , because (and I'm just guessing here mostly. i love their silly friendship shown in comics, its very important to me. ) she's fun to talk to and shes silly in a way that just makes people gravitate towards her, but Till is Ivan's friend because it is funny to piss him off. Till is interesting to Ivan because hes entertaining. Someone so talented and beloved yet easy to target. Someone who stands up for himself. Someone who is so so alive, burning up like a short quick fuse. Someone who can't and would not be kept down despite the collar on his neck. It intrigues Ivan, this guy who sings with enthusiasm and passion, not just going through the motions. Like some comet striking in the darkness. A true artist.
But in his eyes, this isn't Love. Its fascination at best, interest sure, admiration ? perhaps. What Ivan wants isn't Till's happiness, what he wants is to see him react in a funny way. Everything Ivan does is not for Till's sake, it's for his sake. His amusement. Till makes him feel alive, and hes grateful for that, he's grateful to have a companion like Till. (OR SO HE THINKS). In the end though, although he is affectionate, I don't think it registers in Ivan's mind that whatever he feels for Till is love. This is simply their dynamic of push and pull, tug and shove, tease and cry. It's something, and also nothing at all.
But then he tried to save him. He thought he could be the one to save him. And it fails– badly.
(right this is a small tangent but how exactly did he know how to open the collar mechanism? this guy's really fucking smart. did he use a pick? how did he just unclip it so easily??? is he crazy? did he observe the anakt supervisor do that? what the hell Ivan Alien Stage. maybe I'm missing an explanation here . if anyone knows please share .)
Right okay so the whole running away together , escaping the garden hand in hand, this must be when Ivan realizes he truly loves Till, enough to potentially sacrifice his life for him right? WRONG. We all know how this ended. Black sorrow, out of reach, so close and yet so far. Till going back to Anakt Garden, gazing at Ivan, looking back. Conflicted. Till was always a beacon of light. Till was always rebelling against the Anakt. He's the problem child, surely he'll go along with it? Surely he'll run away with Ivan. He's freed him! He's out of his cage now! He can do anything he wants, and they can go anywhere together!
Till went back. He couldn't bear to not see his friends again. He felt wrong for leaving everyone behind. He doesn't want to leave anakt garden, and maybe Mizi is the defining factor, but I think even if it wasn't Mizi who was left there I think he would've gone back. He looks back like Orpheus and Eurydice. He looks at Ivan and his eyes are almost an apology, he runs back. Fire burns around them. Ivan smiles.
And he goes back too.
OKAY now im just writing a whole ass fanfic. back to the damn analysis section.
Ivan's thoughts toward Mizi and Sua are so damn interesting to me, especially how he feels abt Sua. He recognizes what those two have going on as Love. He's kind of jealous of them really, he won't ever understand the feelings he harbors fully. He sees them laughing with each other, truly embracing each other's company joyfully, looking at one another like they're looking at the whole world. Part of why he doesn't think what hes got going on with Till is "love" is because its not the same, Till won't ever look at him like how he looks at Mizi or how Ivan himself looks at Till (in his eyes but lets be real I think Till pining for Mizi woulda been obvious for Ivan so he cant imagine Till enjoying his company the same way as Ivan does Till even if theyre friends but tbf I DON'T THINK IVAN WANTED SOMEONE TO MATCH HIS FREAK i think he wanted to be the only freaky one. but i digress). Right — so this is what establishes Ivan feeling like his feelings for Till are "shallow" and also what makes him laugh at Sua and call her twisted and selfish and "you'll be nothing more than a trauma to Mizi" (wtf btw) when Sua told him (presumably. honestly idk . how did he fuckin know) abt The Plan to sacrifice herself in round 1. Because to Ivan that is selfish, that is imbalanced, something that isn't right because to him Sua is only thinking of her own feelings. He laughed at her, taunted her. He felt vindicated. So yeah, you truly are twisted like I am, I thought we weren't the same, but deep down there is something deeply wrong with you too! (okay . stop that)
To Ivan thats kind of like how he feels about Till, he's not thinking about Till's feelings when he acts. He just Says shit and Does stuff and likes to bother Till because of the love of the game??? (Honestly? I can't tell. His mind is too oopy goopy for my comprehension)
And he ultimately regrets the words he said to Sua right? He said he was relieved that Sua is "also twisted" but all he did was project his own feeling of being a selfish and twisted person to Sua, who had no clue what the hell he was on about. Sua believed that she was going to save Mizi from pain, because death is pain, because she's seen that before and she would not let Mizi die in front of her. And Ivan says "hey but thats stupid , in dying yourself you're going to make her feel pain because she actually *loves* you and would not want you to die.". Which brings me to the whole point of the analysis though, because this isn't a "did Ivan love Till forreal" analysis it is a "Did Ivan realize he was experiencing love or was he fucking stupid" analysis.
and the answer is that its kind of a mix of both, but mostly hes fucking stupid (saying this with love in my heart).
Because until the end he thought he was selfish. Until the end he thought it was shallow emotion (and maybe he was being sardonic towards himself, but lets be real he understands that he was punishing himself for his feelings. He knew he felt strongly, but he didn't think what he felt for Till was love because it did not make Till happy. "I could never love him, I let him go" "I don't love him, I'd rather leave him then see him gone because he would not miss me, Im sure of it.")
Sooo what was the point of all this again? The point is that. Ivan is stupid. im joking okay the point is that maybe round 6 wasn't about the doomed tragic yaoi kiss. Maybe it was abt doomed yaoi but not about Ivan dying knowing that he loved Till. Maybe it wasn't about Ivan getting shot 3 times and dying in such a way it changed the trajectory of my life forever. Maybe it was about Till deserving better than Ivan (which is probably Ivan's thought process but lets be real did he even think abt how this would affect Till. He literally went "nah it won't" but no its not the point once again).
Round 6 was Ivan beginning to realize that maybe he's never going to get what he wants, and thats okay, because there is something selfless about dying for someone. Even if his emotions are "shallow", even if his motive was selfish, even if he looked hot during it (sorry. sorry) (he didn't i just wanted to tack on a joke), maybe in the end this was a little bit of "love" like what it looks like in Mizi and Sua. Maybe even better, because Till does not love him. Till would not feel pain if Ivan died, because he does not feel the same way (OR SO HE THOUGHT). He's only sorry to Till because this will be his last memory of Ivan now, a farewell kiss, and his cold clammy hands closing around his neck.
(Speaking of the kiss, I wonder if it's something he learned from books? or his segyein? because apparently a kiss is not a well known or even established sign of affection in alien society right (idk I'm not in the vivinos patreon i just saw this from somewhere)? and the only other person who knows the significance of a kiss as a gesture of love is Luka.)
Now back to love.
Till never realized it until it's too late. Ivan has not realized it even in the grave. Because dying for someone is a twisted thing, especially when it's someone like him who is already a twisted person doing it for Till, who is his light.
Was it a good show, Ivan? Did he look at you at the very end Ivan? did you see his expression when you fell to the cold stage, Ivan? Was it tears or was it rain that fell down as you lost your balance? Did your vision go dark before you saw that light Ivan? Did it even matter at the very end? Are you glad you made sure of your demise? Did it guarantee Till's safety?
Maybe it did. Even at the very end. You got the reaction you loved so much right? Another one to add in the ever expanding gallery, even if it was in these horrible circumstances.
Anyway, in conclusion? Ivan did not realize that his feelings for Till was love because he thought love had to be some kind of perfect thing between two people and since he was a selfish person then it could only be "shallow emotions" and Till the recipient of his "shallow emotion" could only be a victim. It never crossed his mind to even think otherwise and think about how Till might feel about all this because it's already set in his mind that he's selfish, cruel, and vain and Till deserves better. Gah.
Rest in peace king yaoi the third fly high this has been my ted talk/hot take/analysis that may not be a hot take I just don't actually engage with the fandom takes all that much . Hawk and Tim genuinely bad at being honest with their feelings
The irony in this scene in episode 3 when Tim was confronting Hawk indirectly through a song on why he never tell him he loves him and even asking Hawk to confess through the lyric but the truth is in the previous episode, Hawk did confess but alas indirectly as well.
It breaks my heart when Tim was crying at the end and he couldn’t even finish the song and running away from the restaurant after he saw the couple he sang to kissed because he was so upset and felt incredibly sad that they could have this sweet candle light dinner with their loved one, where they could show their love openly, and even kiss ! To express their love without shame and he knew he could never have it with Hawk and he couldn’t handle the cruel reality, to pretend like it didn’t affect him at all, he’s tired of pretending to be strong, when he sang that song first he was smiling to Hawk, like this was just a game between them but slowly those facades crumbled to the ground at the face of the reality he couldn’t have.
They’re both such a disaster, they didn’t talk about their feelings that much when they’re together, seriously their foreplay was talking about politics 😓 they rather dance around those things in hope they can buy more time with each other if they could just just shove it at the back of their mind like it never existed because as Hawk said “I know you love me and my feelings for you are deep but I’ve always known we have no real future together.”
Hawk glancing toward Tim at every confession he uttered from his mouth, holding his breath wondering if Tim knew that he was laying down his feeling for him through this letter but Tim was so scared and so panicked to even realize the double meaning in those letters, he saw Hawk’s confession as a dagger he used to tear down another person relationship that’s why he couldn’t read between the lines at all and completely miss the chance to get a glimpse of Hawk's true feelings for him.
When Hawk was being interrogated and they asked him if he ever fall in love with another male, the memory that flashed before his eyes were all of Tim when he look the most innocent and vulnerable when he's giving himself fully to Hawk, not too much of a graphic memories compared to when he remembered of his other sexual partners, it wasn't much about all those sex when it came to Tim, he fell for Tim for entirely purer reason than he dare to admit. Tim's big eyes looking at Hawk like the most adorable puppy when he asked him to fold his pants, not a rebellion or offense in those eyes but the revelation that he would do anything Hawk ask of him and hawk...is gone in those big eyes since that moment on.
I love that we have this scene on how Hawk could pass the lie detector test where he explained his method to Marcus, so in conclusion, never once he feels guilty for falling for Tim, for loving him, he loves him truly but he just couldn't be honest with himself or to Tim because it's just how the way it's in his time, too farfetched of a dream to be together and not face repercussion or lost everything, so why risk both of their hearts with honesty? When lie literally could protect them from both physical or emotional harm.

hi gunilslaugh! i really enjoyed reading all your writing 😭 can you write about going on a honeymoon trip with jiseok?
Hello, I'm glad that you enjoy reading my work :) Thank your for requesting!
Kwak Jiseok
Summary: Yours and Jiseok’s honeymoon trip. (idol/non-idol au)
WC:809
Warning:none

photo not mine credits to owner.
Jiseok didn’t care where you went for your honeymoon trip because was simply buzzing with excitement about spending time with you. Only you and him as a freshly married couple. A trip that was all about the two of you and the love that you have for one another.
Whilst on your honeymoon Jiseok loves showing off that you’re his. Wherever you go he either has his arm around your waist, thrown over your shoulders or his hand is laced with yours. He is so happy to introduce you as his spouse.
“This is my beautiful spouse y/n,” Jiseok introduces you. His words make your cheeks feel heated. You lightly nudge your elbow into his side as a way of telling him to tone it down. However he does not tone it down. If anything he tones it up.
“What? You are my beautiful spouse. I want everyone to know how lucky I am that you’re mine.” He presses a kiss to your blushing cheek. His actions and words either make people want to roll their eyes and throw up at his sweetness, makes their heart swoon with dreams of finding someone like him one day or fills them with envy that their partner doesn’t treat them like that.
“How come you never introduce me like that?” You could hear some people questioning their partners.
Over the course of your honeymoon Jiseok wants you to know how much he truly loves you. He would find himself wanting to do some of the cheesy romantic gestures he used to laugh at. A romantic candle lit dinner with rose petals littering the floor of the room. In the past dealing with all of the rose petals seemed like too much trouble. Not to mention picking them up afterwards too, but after you mentioned how cute and romantic it was Jiseok found himself looking for candles of your favorite scent.
Jiseok’s hands covered your eyes as you entered the place you were temporarily staying at for your honeymoon.
“Is this really necessary?” you laughed, partially waddling into the room.
“Yes, it ruins the surprise if you can see.” You can hear the playfulness in his voice. “Ok are you ready?” he asked, stopping or two’s waddling.
“Absolutely,” you answered. Jiseok removed his hands from your eyes. You blinked your eyes a couple of times. Allowing your eyes to adjust to the low light. Once they adjust you see the rose petals scattered around the floor, making up heart shaped. One big one that goes around the table that was lit with candles and a few more rose petals scattered around the table cloth. You couldn’t keep the tears from pricking your eyes.
“You said this kind of thing was too cheesy,” you said, turning around to face Jiseok. Jiseok cups your face in his hands.
“It is, but if you want cheesy I’ll give you all the cheesy you want,” he says.
“Thank you.” You moved to hug him. Jiseok warmly hugs you back. He slightly rocks you both side to side.
“C’mon let’s eat,” he smiled down at you.
Jiseok almost doesn’t want your honeymoon to end. He has had such an amazing time with you. Your entire trip has felt magical to him. It’s made arguably felt the happiest that he has ever been. The only thing that makes him excited to go back home is the fact that when you do he gets to live the rest of his life with you. He can’t wait to do that too. He can’t wait for your life as a married couple together. To be by each other's sides through great things and face hardships together.
On the actual trip back home from your honeymoon Jiseok holds your hand in his, staring at your wedding rings. He’ll lift your hand to his lips, pressing a kiss right over your ring.
“Thank you for choosing me to spend your life with,” he whispered just above the skin of your hand. You can feel his lips ghosting over your skin as he speaks.
“Did you really give me a choice?” you joked. Jiseok laughed, pressing a kiss to the back of your hand.
“No, from the moment I met you, you were going to be mine. Plus I’m the best option for you anyway. No one else could beat me,” bragged. You didn’t want to go and give him a big head, so you didn’t say it out loud, but you agreed with him. He was the best option for you and you didn’t think there was anyone else who could even compare to him. Instead you brought his hand up to your lips to press a kiss over his wedding ring. Resulting in Jiseok smiling the most beautiful smile.
For your first wedding anniversary Jiseok suggests going on a honeymoon 2.0.

im so normal about them — 📌 post | masterlist | ko-fi
2 》Candle/Wax play - Dirty talk - A/B/O ― Honest Conversation [Fushiguro Toji x f!reader]
Having a dirty mouthed neighbor gotta be a headache, right? Right???
TAGS!!! 1.8k, no penetration, dirty talk, teasing, no beta

“Food’s ready, let’s go inside.”
I’ve invited Fushiguros over for dinner: my parents are out of town, my cousin has invited his friends over and instead of having the sensible thought and asking my friends, who’d be more than happy to stay over, my dumbass decided it would be more polite and a kind gesture to invite the family from the next door, who moved in not too long ago, the Fushiguros.
Mr Fushiguro Toji lives with his son, Megumi, who, despite his quiet demeanor, is a great kid. He occasionally visits to play video games with me. His father, on the other hand, oozes a terrifying aura. Each time this man passes me by, I feel the coldness pierce my skin, even if the heat scolds the place. His emerald eyes gloss over whenever we talk as if he is looking past me, somewhere deep into the abyss, and doesn’t give a damn about what I have to say. And while he looks mesmerized, I can’t help but admire the strong jawline, wide shoulders, long, bony fingers, and the very prominent vertical scar on the right side of his lips.
After my cousin and I are finished with the preparations, I prance to find Toji outside on our patio, in complete darkness. I can only tell his approximate location by the burning red cigarette hanging between his lips. My vision adjusts to the lack of light, and I discover him sitting on a patio swing, legs crossed, one arm stretched over the top of the backrest, another hand carefully holding the cigarette.
“Food’s ready, let’s go inside,” in the silence and the pitch-darkness of the night, I can still make out the silhouette, strong digits holding the cigarette between them and his chest rising with each drag and dropping as he puffs out the smoke. If I strain my senses, I can hear steady breathing despite the heavy smog.
“When are your parents comin’ back?” he's not in a hurry, the apathetic voice draws a scoff out of me. He has no interest in my parents' whereabouts: he’s concerned whether his actions will have repercussions. I flop beside him, the swing can handle both of us. His muscles become aware of the proximity. They tense and flex underneath a grey skin-tight shirt.
“Why do you ask?” my question perks him up and in a moment, I feel his large palm clasp around my knee. Bold move. Tiny hairs all over my body stand tall, and the contrast between his frozen hand and my hot flesh creeps a shiver down my spine. His fingers dance on the soft skin and sneak upward.
“You wanna know why?” the question is rhetorical, he's not expecting an answer.
“Yeah, why not?” I get curious. Man who has been shamelessly flirting with me for the last couple of weeks, making up excuses to be near me and openly showing interest in yours truly, I know something fascinating is about to happen. He is brash and crass. His lips and fingers firmly grasp the cigarette, then he takes a long drag, and the smoke gradually steams out of his nostrils.
“I’m counting how many times I can nail their daughter,” my eyes lose focus when his fingers nip on the plump meat of my thigh.
“What gives you an idea I’ll sleep with you, willingly?”
“Won’t sleep with me?” he sneers and puffs the rest of the smoke in my face, “you put your ass in my face and now won’t sleep with me?” I wave the threads of smoke out of my sight with a pout.
“I’ve never done such a thing. Don’t be rude,” just his shit-eating grin gets me hot and bothered, but I’m not going to entertain his perversions further. However, his grip gets tighter on my thigh, literally nailing me to the spot. Even if we can barely make out each other’s shapes in the night, dimly lit by the moonlight, his large palm entraps me, squeezing my face and puckering my lips.
“You’ve never accidentally rubbed your ass on my dick, you’ve never accidentally forgotten to wear a bra, you’ve never accidentally kept your blinds open and undressed at your window,” his hot breath spills over my face, “you’d be in a bliss if I fucked you right here and now.”
“You wouldn’t touch me…” fueling his anger makes me tremble with excitement.
“You’re gonna start begging me,” he grits his teeth.
“Oh, I would never beg you…”
There and then, the invasion halts. He eases back, pressing his back on the backrest of the swing, lighting another cigarette, a large palm shielding the burning red end from nature’s elements. Early grip leaves burning marks and it tingles up to my groin. Toji's sudden attitude change brings me confusion and a little bit of discomfort. I can’t predict his actions if he’s calm or non-responsive. He puffs out a great deal of smoke out of his nostrils, and his glossed-over eyes dart away from me, somewhere in the distance, in the darkness of the night.
“So that’s how it is… Little girl thinks she’s so good,” he firmly smacks his lips, “so good, suddenly she doesn’t want the big old me.”
“Why would I –”
“How many times have you looked at me from your window?” he jams himself in the middle of my sentence. Index finger pointing at the garden of his house, whilst holding the cigarette perfectly still between the aforementioned finger and middle one, “While I’m out in the garden, how many times have you stared at me and thought what would you do to me?” he pauses, rolls eyes at his mistake and corrects himself, “no, what would you let me do to you?”
I hold my breath. My throat burns and feels parched, but not from the smoke I inhaled seconds ago.
“What do you think I’d let you do?”
“Oh, sweetheart, anything,” his eyebrows knot whilst his eyelids droop, “You’d let me do anything to you,” he sounds each syllable out, the smirk on his face looks sinister and depraved, “you’d suck me off under the table, if I asked you, nicely,” he mocks me, “I wonder if you drool each time you stare at my crotch and think how big it is?” his head cocks to the side.
I can’t help but keep quiet, Fushiguro’s hoarse husky voice sounds too good to be stopped in the middle.
“I can answer your question and quench your thirst, metaphorical and literal,” he jeers at me, “and tell you I’m big enough,” he leans forward, bringing himself closer to me and whispers, “big enough to hurt your tight cunt,” he leans back again, throwing head behind and whistling another round of smoke through his lips, “oh, I can imagine, you bouncing your ass on top of me, trying to adjust to the size, whining… Now that gets me hard.”
I swear it feels like I’m in a trance. He can’t be more right, but who in their right mind will admit they want to be fucked by an older male, who's referred to as “sir” or “Mr” by even my mother.
“You stare at my pants an awful lot, tryin’ to learn the shape by heart? How many times you’ve fingered yourself, wishing it was me?” “Never…” I spit out something. All the time, I meant.
“Oh, never?” he springs his head up, readjusting himself in his seat, “Well, me, on the other hand, I’ve thought of fuckin’ your pretty face on multiple occasions, darlin’” again with the mockery, “Especially in the morning, it would be fantastic: you, under the sheets, trying to fit all of my cock in your mouth, then you make a mess, and as a punishment, I’d have to mercilessly fuck you into the mattress, until you’re a blabbering mess.”
How many times have I thought of the same situations? Multiple times, multiple moments, multiple nights. My heart pounds in my chest, in an attempt to smash the ribcage wide open and toss itself out.
I snap out of my delusions the moment I feel a strong hand grasp my wrist and yank me toward itself. My hand presses against something firm.
“Can you feel how hard I am?” I can feel the stiffness underneath my fingertips and tell the size. My hunches are right. Also, he is truthful in his words. He’s well-endowed, “imagine what would happen if these little punks weren’t home. I’d fuck you stupid in your living room,” thoughtful pause, “or any room for that matter.”
Two can play at this game. If he’s going to drive me over the edge, I have tricks up my sleeve as well. They're not as effective, but still decent.
“Oh, I prefer being fucked against the wall,” his body jerks faintly, undivided attention to what I have to say, “your hands are big enough to wrap around my neck, and you’re big enough to carry me around,” in the meantime, my eyes adjust to the poor light, his starved expressions become clearer, “or I can try being a brat, then you’ll get mad at me and put me in my place, won’t you?”
“You’re playing with fire,” Toji hisses through his teeth.
“Ah, I have even better: it’d be best if you did me in front of a mirror, sir,” and I feel his cock twitch under my fingers. His body‘s honest with me, “You’d make me watch, wouldn’t you? Make me watch every time you’re thrusting inside, right?” Toji’s teeth gnash audibly, “Make me watch how big you are?”
In the meantime, his free hand figures its way behind me, griping my ass cheek so tight, if my body was any less dense, it’d spill between his fingers. It’s painstakingly hard for him to hold the cigarette in the other hand as well, instead of tossing it aside and teaching me a lesson. I continue.
“Your hands would look so good on my neck,” his long digits crunch the cigarette butt, “or anywhere. I have soft skin,” Toji’s hand slithered under my shirt, confirming simple facts, “To-ji,” I sing his name softly and feel another tremor under my hand. His pants are strained, but he’ll find no relief this time.
He leans closer to claim an undeserved kiss and I pull my head back. The pungent smell of the cigarette makes me scrunch my nose. His upper lip twitches, baring the white canine tooth.
"Oh, big teeth, do they leave dark bruises on tits?" his breath hitches. Before he demonstrates the sharpness of his fangs on my chest, I slip out of his flimsy grip, readjusting my crinkled clothes, “we have a dinner to attend to, sir~”
I love being the only spectator who recognizes the clouded, murky glares this man throws my way during the dinner, his fingers gripping the silver dinnerware almost to the point of bending them. I catch a glimpse of thick veins scarring the surface of the skin on his biceps as well.
After a lovely dinner, right before leaving for good, he hangs at the entrance door and lowers his head to whisper.
“If you’re not in my living room by 12 o'clock tomorrow morning, I’ll make sure the rest of the neighborhood hears you sob.”
I hold my fist up in front of him, poking the pinky finger out with as much innocence as I can muster.
“Promise, Mr. Fushiguro?”

I got another prompt from Sand86802 on twitter.
Posting it here again since it isn’t quite long enough for Ao3.
Played with Violet’s POV on this one. Set in a post 11x22 world.
***
“Never take advice from someone who’s falling apart”
+
Location: The El
***
It’s been a while since Sylvie and Violet spent time together off shift. Even longer since Violet spent any considerable time in the presence of both Brett and Casey at the same time.
Tonight, they had an extra ticket to a concert Sylvie had been dying to attend for a Taylor Swift cover band that reimagined the singer’s work in big band or jazz styles. Violet isn’t a swiftie, but she’s always up for new experiences so she took the extra ticket. Originally, she thinks Casey’s sister was supposed to go with them, but she canceled for some reason. Some sort of teaching emergency.
To top it all off, this concert was a part of Brett’s birthday celebration. Her first birthday as a mom and her first time away from Julia for longer than a couple of hours since the baby officially became hers a handful of weeks ago. Confidentially, Casey confided in Violet that he wanted it to be special and so full that Sylvie never had a moment to feel anxious over leaving Julia with Cindy and Herrmann for the evening.
Violet admired his ambition and effort. Even though, in her heart of hearts, she knew no one could stop Sylvie from feeling anxious about leaving her daughter alone.
They’re on their way to the show now. They opted to take the El to save on the parking fee and time spent jammed up in traffic. Violet sits on one side of Brett with Casey on the other.
The recently engaged couple is sickeningly cute. Casey’s arm is slung over Sylvie’s shoulders, pulling her against him. She went willingly, slotting against him as if she was always meant to be there with her back molding to his side and her head resting in the crook of his neck. Casey turns so he can rest his lips against the crown of Sylvie’s head, kissing her sweetly.
Looking at them now, a person would never guess they’d ever been apart.
The train stops and the doors open, allowing a pregnant woman and her toddler to board. They all clock her as she enters the car and, like her, notice there aren’t any available seats.
Casey kisses Brett’s temple and then releases her. “I’m gonna go hold the rail over by the door and let this woman have my seat.”
“You’re amazing,” Sylvie praises, nodding approvingly.
“Let’s not get carried away,” he says with a fond chuckle. “I’m not a saint. It’s just the polite and decent thing to do.”
Sylvie watches him cross the train and point out his vacated seat to the woman with a besotted smile on her face before she scoffs and glances over at Violet. “Not a saint. Of course he’s a saint. I mean, look at him.”
Violet chuckles mutely, watching as the pregnant woman thanks Matt profusely and waddles her way toward them. “I see him. He’s great.”
“I can’t believe I ever thought I could do without him,” she says with a contented sigh. “I mean, what was I thinking? No one holds a candle to that man over there. Not for me anyway.”
Violet bites her bottom lip, an apology slowly clawing its way up her throat. She’s held it at bay so far, but her guilt grows larger every day. Even quicker than normal during the rare instances she’s directly confronted with how truly happy Matt makes her best friend these days.
Sylvie and Dylan were never going to work out. Not when Sylvie’s connection to Matt is as strong as it’s proven to be. Violet should have seen that sooner.
“I’m happy for you, bestie,” Violet says, linking her arm through Sylvie’s. “Since he came back into your life you’ve done nothing but glow.”
“Thank you.” Sylvie lays her head on Violet’s shoulder affectionately. “I felt like a part of me shut down after I broke it off with him. Like losing touch with him meant losing a piece of my heart. I should’ve known then that ending it was a mistake.”
That does it. Violet can’t hold off her apology any longer. Sylvie’s right. She should’ve seen it and she probably would have too if Violet hadn’t interfered.
“I should’ve known it too,” she says, sighing tiredly. “They way I kept pushing you toward Dylan…God, looking back I was so selfish, Sylvie. I’m sorry.”
“What? No, Violet, my struggles with my emotions aren’t on you. Matt and I had things we should’ve dealt with sooner and we ignored them. That’s on us. All you wanted was to see me happy. I get that.”
No, she really doesn’t. “It wasn’t just about you being happy though.”
Sylvie’s smile turns bittersweet. Her expression is empathetic and all knowing. It’s a look from her that’s potent on anyone, even perfect strangers. When Brett gives someone that look, they feel encouraged to spill all their secrets and struggles.
“I know,” Sylvie replies. “It’s okay. Grief manifests itself in all kinds of ways.”
“Dylan and Evan were friends and I guess I—I guess—“
“You wanted to hold onto that piece of him for as long as possible?”
“Yeah,” Violet agrees. “That’s a good way to phrase it. It goes to show you, never take advice from someone who’s falling apart. I was still spiraling hard when we first bumped into Dylan at the hospital. At the time, I thought all the pieces fit, you know? I know now I saw only what I wanted to see. I sent you a long way down the wrong path.”
“I started down that path long before we ran into Dylan, Violet,” Sylvie states, gently correcting her. “Cut yourself some slack. You were still reeling. I know what that can do to a person. Hell, I moved back home and intended to marry a man I barely knew after we lost Otis. My grief over him kept me from realizing I’d made the wrong choice for far too long. If anyone gets it, it’s me. It all worked out in the end. I have Matt, Julia, and the boys. I’m happier than I’ve been in a very long time. That’s all that matters.”
“I guess so.” She wishes she could say the same but, while she’s through the worst of her grief, she’s far from happy.
“You’re gonna find that too, partner,” Sylvie assures her, as if she’s read Violet’s mind. “I know it. No matter what that happiness looks like for you, I am certain it’ll happen. You’re the best so you deserve the best.”
No, Sylvie’s the best. The amount of grace she extends to everyone around her is practically miraculous. “I already have the best friend I could ask for,” Violet says, giving Sylvie a pointed look. “And that’s all the happiness I need for now.”
As cheesy as it sounds, it’s a truth Violet feels deep in her bones. Sylvie’s friendship will always be the gift that keeps on giving.

I'm going to ask the same question from everyone, because I'm selfish and I love hearing people's head canons - so #19, please.
i LOVE thinking up headcanons and then forgetting them all when under pressure ajfnskdkd but here are a couple:
- before carlos, tk could hold his own in the kitchen but it was more so just cooking basic recipes for survival. after seeing how much joy carlos gets from cooking and feeding his loved ones, tk learned more from him. they often have date nights of low music and dancing around the kitchen and walking through the steps of a nice dinner together.
- tk routinely steals carlos’ shirts, especially to sleep in when they’re on conflicting shifts.
- tk and carlos leave each other little notes and have so many stupid little inside jokes they can look at each other in a crowded room and just bust out laughing. they’re truly best friends at the core of everything.
- tk doesn’t have that terrible a spice tolerance, but it’s nowhere near as good as carlos’.
- i was going to write this into a fic once, but nancy’s the first person tk went to after the breakup. he just wordlessly showed up to her apartment and she let him stew in his emotions and crash on her couch
- marjan’s apartment is just. so colourful and full of little knick-knacks and different textures and scented candles and fresh flowers.
- judd did in fact buy charlie the matching cowboy boots and hat. maybe more than one.

I really needed to reread it! I needed the sweetness, the love and the wonderful complicity that the Bradshaws have🥹
“Looks like the power might not be back on until tomorrow,” you explained to Bradley as he walked up to you and wrapped his arms around your waist. You just laughed as his chest, still wet from his shower, dampened the front of your T-shirt. Running your fingers through his damp hair, you grinned. “Good thing it was just leftovers night. But it looks like we might have to eat them cold.”
“I’ve had worse,” Bradley grinned, pressing a kiss to the tip of your nose. “You know what though, babe? I should probably run down and check on the Robertsons first. Make sure they’ve got everything they need before it gets dark, especially if the power won’t be on again until morning,” he said.”
This part leaves me speechless every time I read it because of how many things there are that I love!
1. First of all how sweet she is and how she wanted to put Mr. Scott at ease knowing that he would likely have complaints from other neighbors.
2. Bradley's natural and loving gestures towards his wife. I love every time how as soon as she finishes the call he heads towards her to hold her and the detail of the kiss on her nose makes me melt every time, so sweet and wonderful! 🥹
3. The fact that Bradley immediately thought of going to see if their older neighbors needed anything. I mean Bradley is just the perfect man🥹
“Aw, baby, you know I’m your hero and your hero only,” Bradley replied with a chuckle, kissing you for good measure.”
Aww🥹
“Now the question is what are we going to do?”
“I can think of a few things,” Bradley smirked, waggling his eyebrows at you.”
Ooh Bradley🫠
“I have an idea,” he said, taking the plates from you and setting them down on the coffee table.”
Every time I love so much the joy and enthusiasm with which Bradley sets out to build a fort!
“So that was how you and Bradley ended up spending the next hour or so designing the most elaborate fort you could create on short notice, in the middle of a power outage. Bradley dragged your dining room chairs into the living room, while you went and procured every pillow, blanket, and sheet you could find in the apartment. The two of you laughed like a couple of children as you put it all together, setting up a cozy little oasis in the middle of your home.”
“You forgot all about the power outage as you and your husband spent hours of uninterrupted quality time together, swapping silly stories and laughing until your sides ached. At one point, you grabbed all the junk food you could find in the pantry, both of you promising you’d hit the gym tomorrow as you scarfed down Oreos and pretzels and potato chips. You even started a little competition at one point, taking turns tossing pieces of popcorn into each other’s mouths. Bradley finally had to concede that you were much better at catching them than he was.”
And this part warms my heart every time! The fact that they can have fun, laugh and feel good together in every situation shows how much they are made for each other! Their love is so precious🥹
“Despite your earlier teasing protestations, you and Bradley did make love in your little makeshift fort, his movements gentle and tender as he whispered soft words of devotion in your ear. You could think of nothing more intimate or special.”
“Later, once you’d blown all the candles out and switched the fairy lights off, you snuggled up against his chest, the both of you content to rest in peaceful silence. You traced the scar on his neck lightly with your fingertips, which he lifted to his lips and pressed soft kisses to.”
Awww🥹
It's incredible how every time I read a piece of the Bradshaws it's always as if it were the first time, in fact perhaps even better than the first time because with each rereading I manage to capture small details and focus on some parts that perhaps I hadn't fully grasped before! The emotions they transmit to me are truly unique, they always fill my heart with happiness, I madly love reading about them and I will never stop💗✨

Author’s Note: Just a sweet little idea that came to me while I was driving, partially inspired by one of Miles’ other films, Two Night Stand.
Warnings: Lots of fluff and allusions to sex (nothing explicit).
Late afternoon was just fading into evening when it happened.
You were sitting on the couch in the living room, quickly folding a bit of laundry while watching a random made-for-TV movie that wasn’t very good. Bradley had gotten home from work not long before and had gone to jump in the shower before the two of you ate dinner. Mav and Penny had been over the night before, and you’d cooked way more than you needed to, so it was going to be leftovers night.
Just as you picked up the remote to change the channel, unimpressed by the cringey movie you’d been attempting to give the benefit of the doubt, the TV screen suddenly faded to black. Frowning slightly, you smacked the remote against the palm of your hand a couple times and pressed a few buttons, but nothing happened. It was then that you realized the light in the kitchen had gone off as well.

Valentine’s Day Gifts Thoughtful Ideas to Celebrate Love
Valentine’s Day is a special occasion to express love, affection, and appreciation for the people who hold a special place in our hearts. Whether you're celebrating with a significant other, a friend, or even a family member, finding the right Valentine’s Day gifts is an essential part of making the day memorable. From heartfelt presents to fun surprises, there are countless ways to show your love. Here’s a guide to help you choose the perfect Valentine’s Day gifts, whether it’s for him, for her, or anyone you hold dear.

Unique Valentine’s Day Gifts for Her
When it comes to Valentine's Day gifts for her, it’s important to choose something that reflects her personality and the bond you share. Thoughtful, meaningful presents will always be appreciated more than something generic. Here are a few ideas to inspire you:
1. Personalized Jewelry Jewelry is often seen as a classic Valentine’s Day gift, and adding a personal touch can elevate the sentiment even further. Consider a necklace, bracelet, or ring with her initials, a meaningful date, or a special engraving. Customizable jewelry will always remind her of your love, making it a cherished piece.
2. A Romantic Getaway Instead of a physical gift, consider planning a surprise weekend getaway. Whether it’s a cozy cabin in the mountains, a beach resort, or a charming bed and breakfast, this experience will create lasting memories. It’s a great way to bond and spend quality time together away from the everyday hustle and bustle.
3. A Customized Gift Box Another thoughtful idea is to create a personalized gift box filled with all her favorite things. You can include chocolates, skincare products, candles, and other small, meaningful items. The key is to fill the box with things that show you’ve put thought into what she likes and needs.
Valentine’s Day Gifts for Him
Finding the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for him can sometimes feel more challenging, but it’s all about selecting something that matches his personality and interests. Whether he’s into sports, technology, or fashion, here are some ideas that are sure to impress:
1. High-Tech Gadgets If your partner loves technology, there are plenty of high-tech Valentine’s Day gifts to consider. A smartwatch, a pair of quality wireless earbuds, or a portable speaker could be the perfect gift. These gadgets combine practicality with innovation, making them great options for a Valentine’s Day gift that he'll use and enjoy.
2. A Personalized Leather Wallet For something classic and practical, a personalized leather wallet is always a great choice. Not only is it stylish, but you can add a personal engraving, such as his initials or a special message, to make it truly unique. This gift is functional, yet thoughtful, and he’ll think of you every time he uses it.
3. Adventure Experiences For those who prefer experiences over material gifts, consider booking an adventure for the two of you. Whether it’s an exciting outdoor activity like hiking or bungee jumping, or an experience like a wine-tasting tour or a cooking class, giving the gift of adventure creates lasting memories.
Valentine’s Gift Day: The Thought Behind the Gift
Valentine’s Day isn’t just about giving gifts—it’s about showing appreciation and making your loved one feel special. The thought and effort you put into the gift often matter more than its price tag. A meaningful gesture, no matter how simple, can speak volumes.
1. Handwritten Love Letters A handwritten love letter can be one of the most cherished Valentine’s Day gifts. In today’s digital world, receiving a heartfelt, handwritten note expressing your love and admiration can be incredibly touching. You can recount special moments you’ve shared together, tell them how much they mean to you, or simply express your deepest feelings. Pair the letter with a small token, like a favorite flower or a piece of jewelry, for an extra touch of romance.
2. Customized Couple Gifts If you want to go the extra mile, consider giving personalized couple gifts, like matching T-shirts, engraved bracelets, or custom mugs. These fun and unique gifts are a way to celebrate your bond and show the world just how special your relationship is. It’s a fun way to demonstrate your connection while also creating lasting memories.
Conclusion
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to show the people in your life how much they mean to you, and finding the right Valentine’s Day gifts is an important part of that celebration. Whether you’re shopping for a Valentine’s Day gift for him or her, choosing something personal, thoughtful, and meaningful is key. You don’t have to spend a fortune to make the day special. The best gifts come from the heart, whether it's a romantic getaway, a thoughtful piece of jewelry, or even a handwritten love letter. It's about spreading kindness and making a difference in someone else's life. This year, we should all celebrate love by engaging in meaningful acts of kindness that will warm hearts and create lasting memories. One beautiful way to celebrate Valentine's Day is by performing random acts of kindness. Surprise a stranger with a small act of generosity, like paying for their coffee or leaving an uplifting note for them to find. These simple gestures can brighten someone's day and remind them that love and compassion are all around. Another wonderful idea is to volunteer together as a couple on Valentine's Day. Find a local charity or organization that resonates with both of you and spend the day giving back to the community. Whether it's serving meals at a shelter or helping clean up a park, working side by side for a good cause will deepen your bond while making a positive impact. What about offering to babysit (together, as a couple) for another couple who has a hard time finding childcare, rarely getting to spend one-on-one time with their spouse? It is an act of sincere kindness and if you are doing it together, all the better! If you're looking for something more personal, consider donating to a charity in your spouse's name. Choose an organization that aligns with their passions or supports causes they care about. Not only will this act show your love and thoughtfulness, but it will also make a difference in the lives of those in need. This Valentine's Day, let's go beyond traditional expressions of love and embrace the power of kind deeds. By spreading joy through random acts of kindness, volunteering together as partners, or donating to charities in our loved ones' names, we can create meaningful memories that celebrate love in its truest form. Nurture your Relationship: Couples' Activities to Strengthen Your Bond on Valentine's Day Valentine's Day is the perfect occasion to deepen your bond and strengthen the connection with your partner. Whether you prefer staying in or going out, there are countless activities that can help nurture your relationship and create lasting memories together. If you're looking for cozy and intimate moments, why not plan a romantic evening at home? You can cook a special meal together, set up a candlelit dinner, and indulge in some quality time. To spice things up, try relationship-building exercises and games like asking each other thought-provoking questions or playing a board game that encourages communication and teamwork...(or just skip to strip poker, whatever you choose). For those who love adventure and exploring new experiences, consider planning an outdoor activity. Take a scenic hike or bike ride together, go on a picnic in the park, or even try something more adventurous like rock climbing or kayaking. These activities provide an opportunity to connect with nature and allow you to work as a team, fostering trust and communication. Communication exercises are another great way to strengthen your bond. Set aside dedicated time to have meaningful conversations where you both actively listen and openly express your thoughts and feelings. This could be done through journaling together, participating in couples' therapy sessions, or simply having regular heart-to-heart talks. Remember, Valentine's Day is not just about grand gestures but also about the small moments that make your relationship special. By engaging in couples' activities at home or outdoors while incorporating relationship-building exercises and games, you can create an atmosphere of love, trust, and understanding that will continue to nourish your bond long after Valentine's Day has passed.
