i don’t think Jays amnesia is accidental or legitimate

here’s why:

Jay knows his name his full name, implying that he knew it even with memory loss, and you might be thinking couldn’t the agents just tell him his name if he didn’t remember? well no one in the administration seemed to know who LLOYD GARMADON WAS until they broke zane out, they didn’t even Acknowledge Zane as a ninja when they arrested him implying that they have no idea who THE HEROS OF NINJAGO are

He knows he had lightning powers but nobody else knows this, which also connects to the administration didn’t know who jay was before or they would’ve informed him of his powers themselves and he would’ve known that they knew but he makes it seem like it’s a bad thing like bad things happen to Elemental Powers so if that is true why would they put somebody in the administration knowing that they have Elemental powers?

Still has similar personality traits to before (video games) so the memory loss didn’t cause Jay to completely loose himself, he still holds the similar traits to before. this seems more like someone took out the people and things he was doing and not erasing him as a person? idk if that makes sense but when Nya and Zane got their amnesia they blindly trusted people, the first person they saw who told them things and they believed them and they kind of acted differently but also they had no idea who they were they couldn’t even remember their name, so it just makes Jays amnesia more purposeful and thought out

he can’t remember anything before the administration- now he remembers all of his life at the administration but not a single thing before that? Also this tells us that if he woke up at the administration with no memory why would they give him a guy who knows nothing but his name a good position like a manager? it just doesn’t make sense unless they brought him in specifically, and why nothing before the administration, what happened to his mech? Did it crash and if so how did he not remember waking up at the crash and going to the administration, did they take him from the crash sight? And Nya told Zane that the merge was years ago no matter how many years it’s been wouldn’t Jay had to have had some sort of memories come back like anything? a face? a single memory? a name?

i had this theory i posted about where he also woke up at a monastery copy because i think there’s more out there because he walked right into where Bonzle was with no backup, none. Why would they send in an agent alone unless he didn’t say where he was going and instead just went along with his muscle memory and he was going to where Bonzle came from too so he knew where he was going he did not look lost once.

My ending point: somebody or something erased Jays memories it wasn’t just an accident or a bump on the head and i think most fingers are point to the administration/administrator, because it’s just weird timing that it’s just the administration that he remembers along with just his name, it just kind of seems thought out like they wanted him for a reason or something. There are things about himself that he knows, he doesn’t seem to be having an identity crisis so it’s almost as if someone picked and chose which things he could remember and which he would have to forget like people and his previous life. All the agents seem like they have something off about them too, maybe it’s requirement that they examine people who they believe would be good agents and erase their memories and take them which is why nobody questions it, it’s just what they know. Or maybe the Administrator works for Ras too and gives Ras amnesiac Elemental Masters for him like where did Tox come from? and why does it look like she’s on the bad guy side now? Maybe Ras’ plan B was getting other elemental masters to fight for him in the tournament of sources instead of the Forbidden 5 and to do that he had the administrator provide them and erasing their memories knowing that they wouldn’t willingly help Lord Ras.

Anyway that’s just a few (a lot) of things i think about at night

SUMMARY OF ALL ARKANIS POVS

DAY 37 — 09/10/2024

The morning in Valigma begins calmly, but not entirely peacefully.

Pac starts to hear some lightning coming from outside his house, until in one of these lightning Pac receives a book ("Sorry but I don't have much time

Want to find out more about your true destiny?"). The text within the book is followed by coordinates of a location.

Arriving at the coordinates, Pac battles some monsters called "Diluted Thieves" and gets another book.

The book appears to be written by a famous thief from the Valigma's City who wore a balaclava and had managed to rob the city's central bank. The author of the book knew that his luck was running out more and more, ending up thinking about just running away from Valigma with his robbery so this doesn't happen.

Upon returning home, Pac is greeted by writing in Arkanya on his wall. Milo and Auau helps him translate and they find out what the phrases was "Thief" and "Little Thief".

As soon as they discover the translation, Pac's vision darkens and the phrases written in Arkanya disappear. Just as Pac's vision returns, lightning strikes outside his house again.

After what happened, Pac meets with Quel, Gris and Guhzera at their house and tells them what happened (Gris remembers that Bia had commented about the anagram of Araldo's name: Araldo = Ladrão [Thief in Portuguese]). Milo then wears a balaclava and Quel talks about Valigma's symbol of peace, a balaclava, and explains what Jota had told her yesterday (Balaclava is a treasure for the city of Valigma because it represents the day that the city's thief had been arrested)

After the conversation, everyone says goodbye and goes their separate ways.

At his home, Guhzera receives an unusual visit from Araldo, who says he wants to train him like JVNQ. Araldo said he would take him to be an "apprentice" for a day and said that Guhzera would only need to sabotage a few things and, in return, he would give him power. If he broke the agreement, Milo would suffer for it.

After the conversation, Araldo disappears and Guzhera returns to focusing on his tasks. Hours later, after saying goodbye to Milo, Guhzera receives a visit from a deep-voiced being who looked exactly like Milo, saying the following phrase over and over again before disappearing as well:

"And if I die, daddy?"

In fear, Guhzera returns to his tasks again.

While at home, Quel receives a visit from Bia. The two talk about the dome (Quel wants to know how the dome managed to be done, and Bia explains that she felt Arkanya's flow stronger, which helped her activate it) and how Gris is doing.

Bia reveals to Quel that Choke is doing very well in training and thinks she will be able to help the specialists when she finishes.

Bia confesses that she would like it to be Quel in training, but that it's okay. Quel thanks her and Bia says that Choke has people by her side like Quel, Maethe and this will help her, because Arkanya is instable. Bia adds that Choke is bipolar and gets stressed easily, which could be linked to Guhzera.

Quel asks when Choke should return, and Bia believes she should be able to finish her last training session on Monday.

Bia then shares with Quel that she had some strange dreams about one of the specialists being able to use Arkanya (without Lankyas' help) in a way never seen before. She couldn't see the person's face but she's sure it's not the Mayor.

While they're on the subject, Que tells Bia about JVNQ being under Araldo's care now, and Bia is shocked by the information. Bia expresses her concern about a possible attack that Araldo could make and says she is weak and without enough Lankyas to protect everybody.

Quel asks if they could get Lankya from Araldo, planning an attack on the factory. Bia responds that Araldo must know some Coder who writes the Lankyas, because his Lankyas are bespoke (Bia mentions that she hasn't seen a Coder in 20 years, she says that the last one she met was a great friend of hers who disappeared from the map, but who hadn't died). The conversation goes on more about the hierarchy of Arkanya handlers, in short:

Coder: writes Lankyas.

Decoder: Reads and uses Lankyas.

Manipulator: Manipulates Arkanya.

Obstinate: does not manipulate Arkanya, but has an artifact imbued with Arkanya.

(The training that Quel failed was to become a Coder, and currently Choke's training was to become one.)

Changing the subject, Que tells Bia that Jota wants to see her, and Bia is surprised by the news but says she doesn't want to see him at all. Bia points out that she won't meet Jota, as she thinks he's up to something. Quel says that Jota has blood in his eyes and Bia decides to investigate him.

As the conversation continued, Quel tells Bia that Jota found out about her involvement in the death of his parents and Bia laughs indignantly, saying that it was absurd. Quel says that there is a tape at Araldo's factory that proves this but Bia denies it, saying that this is impossible. Quel says that a specialist got this information from someone, and Araldo confirmed it.

Quel says that Araldo never showed the tape to Jota.

Bia, nervous, quickly says that she needs to think about it and disappears.

Head-canons for Dragons Rising!Jay

- The merge dropped him into an ocean near the realm of madness which he stayed by for a month hoping that Nya would be able to find him via her connection to the sea. When he realized it wasn't working he started walking through the realm of madness to find her.

- He slowly lost his memories while wandering the realm of madness, he was keeping a diary for the first year but one day he went to get food and left it (and the rest of his stuff) in the shelter he was staying in and never came back because he forgot about that as well.

- By the time the administration found him he had no memories or tokens of his past except the Ying medal and his name (which he only knew because it was written on his gi by Edna)

- All of his stuff is buried in a pile in the land of lost things.

- For a time there was a teen in the administration who he had a father daughter relationship with but one day she went to retrieve an artifact with her partner and neither returned. Jay didn't get attached to anyone after that

- He was originally in charge of the destruction of powerful objects but asked to move to realm reassignment when he realized that there was a possibility his Yang could come through and recognize him.

- In his dreams he often finds himself floating in the middle of the ocean accompanied by someone humming but his dreams always end with the peace breaking and him drowning.

- He's mistakenly called one of the people who work in damage control 'Cole' multiple times and he doesn't know why.

- When he first discovered he could control lightning he still has no knowledge of other elemental master and saw himself as an anomaly which is why he has hidden it from the rest of the administration.

- Because he hasn't used his element in years (except in short, accidental zaps) he can't properly control and has basically been reverted back to before he reached his true potential in terms of control and knowledge, if he wanted to he would be able to kill someone.

- He hates having to hurt people in order to arrest them to the point that it sometimes makes him sick.

- He hates mirrors.

- More recently, after his encounter with the spirit orb, he has been having dreams of people wearing different colored gi's, specifically a woman who he thinks is the most beautiful person he's ever seen.

- He has a goldfish named Fritz

Novella November - Day 21

Three weeks down, nine days to go! The end is in sight, people.

Now my wordcount.

Wordcount: 44,968

I'm really aiming for that 60,000 before the month is up, but I'd be happy with 50K. Pull the NaNo from last year.

My story is certainly taking shape. I'm approaching some of the major plot points, twists in the middle and such. There's one twist which is my true goal. If I can get there before the month is over, then I'll be thrilled!

I find it interesting how things change as I write though. A character that I introduced to fill a gap suddenly becomes a recurring element. Having to devise new conflicts and conversations just to fill the space between events. I had a secondary character break a colleagues nose just to add some tension, but it also means I can have them make up later. Or even make out later. Now I'm considering that they have a one night stand, which was not in the original plan, but...

Anyway, all is going well, and I am very happy with my progress.

And now, a snippet. Maybe a long snippet, but a snippet nonetheless.

Here is Angela deciding to go out for a morning fly, having just had a very difficult night with her team.

She decided it was best to clear her head. Humans would go out for a walk or a run. She wasn’t human though. There was one small problem though. Her wings were beneath her shirt.

The thought of a topless morning flight crossed her mind, but was very quickly abandoned. Maybe just her bandages, like running clothes? But they were no protection from the cold. Instead, she removed her shirt, took out her knife, cut two holes in the back big enough for her little wings to poke through, and then put it back on. She’d just have to remember to wear a jacket if she went out in this top.

Her wings poked through the fabric holes and she fluttered them. And then, she ignited them, blue forms taking immediate shape, and launching her vertically into the air.

Her feet left the floor like there was a rocket on her back. The cold air was cuttingly brisk at high speeds, but the sun was just rising and it would be hours before it was warm. She would just have to bear it, her clothes at least providing some defence. She flew up for about five hundred feet, the view of the city stretching out below in all directions, and then arrested her assent with a sudden burst aimed up, flipping her in the air so she was facing the ground.

Galtan City stretched out below. The low rooves and houses directly below, to the businesses and warehouses some streets away, and then rising and falling rooftops, single stories, ten stories, blocks of flats, industrial complexes! The city rolled beneath her like a rocky range of mountains and moors, all lit by the golden morning sun. And in the distance, the city’s heart, skyscrapers, and a single grand tower in the middle.

It seemed like as good a destination as any.

With a burst of psychic energy from her wings, she launched across the sky. The wind pulled and dragged at her clothes, threatening to rip them off her, so she focused a bit of power from her wings as a shield ahead. It didn’t stop the wind, but it softened it, a dome of vibrating air staying ahead of her. She sped like a bullet for the tower, the air roaring past. Like a bird or a plane, she felt the updrafts and sped on, speeding like she was splitting the sky, the wind screaming at her ears! It took her minutes to cover the miles to the tower, and then veer dramatically upwards. She climbed further and further, and finally felt the strain on her wings as she neared the spire atop the building. The air was thinner and she was still heavier than a bird. Climbing that distance was a challenge, no mistake. But, she alighted atop the building, finding her footing, and holding onto the lightning rod spire for support.

She looked out across the cold morning, the golden light, and the vast, vast city. She understood that, by human standards, it was quite small. But she couldn’t even see the edges on the horizon, even from way up here. She’d never seen anything like it back home.

After just a few minutes, and some long chilly breaths, she nodded. She was done up here. With a jump from the roof, she leapt from the spire and fell.

She passed windows by the second, but knowing she needed to maintain some secrecy, she only dropped until what had to be the twentieth floor down from the top. Then her wings ignited, caught her, and spread wide and flat, carrying her like a glider across the air. She had blue wings against blue sky, so she doubted too many people could see her, even if they were looking up. They’d likely think she was some human pulling a stunt anyway.

She glided, gaining some speed as she descended, trying to lock in on the garage. She didn’t know the landscape, but she only had to spot the roof. The flat roof. Right there, nestled in one little street.

She honed in and dove at a steep angle, and just as she got too close, veered back up, g-forces pulling at her stomach, as she came to a looping stop about a hundred feet above the roof. She finished her loop, lowered herself down, and returned to the roof breathing heavily and happily.

And Hunter was waiting for her, an eyebrow raised.

“I was just wondering if you wanted breakfast?”

Since I'm distracted by working on a fic, and I saw a somewhat similar AU in the Sonic au tag, I've decided to just go ahead and post about it...

Project Lightspeed (aka Wisp Sonic)

Note: I messed up on some of the color positions with the first drawing but there's another drawing that's more accurate!

The second artificially made lifeform on the ARK, Project Lightspeed Sonic uses a combination of the Cyan Laser and Ivory Lightning Wisps that were forcefully infused to him to run at the incredible speeds he's able to reach.

He isn't actually aware that he'd been infused with the power of the Wisps or his origins in general until Sonic Adventure 2 happens. To say he react well to everything is kinda an understatement...

As for how he ends up on Earth and all that? Well first we need to establish a bit of background.

Peoject Lightspeed, as he was referred to on the ARK, didn't get the same treatment as Shadow. In fact his treatment was much worse. While he was also created with the help of Gerald his double purpose was different from Shadow's. As for why I say double purpose? Well there's the main purpose they're presented as and then there's GUN's true purpose for them.

Project Shadow's main purpose was presented as finding a cure for Maria, while GUN's true purpose was for him to be The Ultimate Lifeform.

Project Lightpseed's main purpose was presented as being able to quickly help people get to safety or to a hospital, while GUN's true purpose for him was to be an improved version of The Ultimate Lifeform. And this time they'd ensure everything they could to keep him away from Gerald's much too caring hands in an attempt to mold him to their liking.

While technically Sonic is more powerful than Shadow, he's unaware of certain abilities he possesses which makes it so when they fight they're on more equal footing. He can not only do everything Shadow can but better, but he's also got his own unique chaos abilities... that I still need to figure out.

Btw the reason he only has one inhibitor ring is because, due to secretly being an improved version of The Ultimate Lifeform, his energy is much more stable than Shadow's.

So due to how kindhearted Sonic is, their attempts to mold him to their liking made them very unhappy with him. He'd constantly get punished for not obeying their orders. Punishments started out as more grueling testing and hurting him. When that didn't work after a while they decided to try some different methods, eventually finding that submerging him in water was the most effective in getting him to do what they want. At that point the only thing he'd still try to refuse to do is kill.

The reason it was so effective is cause he's not only made up of mostly energy, but it so happens that one his main components is lightning. So combine those two things with the fact that water and electricity don't mix well? Well needless to say that constantly submerging him in it causes his hydrophobia to become extreme.

And then eventually the ARK raid happens...

Knowing he's likely going to die anyways and since he was in the general area, Gerald takes pity on Sonic and helps him escape. Sonic easily trusts him since he's one of the only people to not hurt him. Gerald does his best to escort him to one of the multiple escape pod zones, informing him of what he'll need to do if Gerald is unable to make it with him. Which is good since he doesn't. The way it happens is that he ends up having to stall some guards, subsequently resulting in his arrest.

Sonic makes it to the pods and manages to escape, but not before obtaining even more trauma. So much so that he ends up repressing his memories of the ARK in general.

Unfortunately the pod ends up malfunctiong because of Sonic's powers going on the fritz due to the stress of the situation. Speaking of stress, he manages to essentially short circuit himself and enters a self induced coma as his body tries to fix itself. It doesn't help that he's subconsciously using a fraction of his energy to power the pod's essentials. Most notably life support and stasis.

The pod ends up crashing into Westside Island, causing the locals to investigate. Locked from the inside and short circuited, the islanders are unable to open it or see inside. Eventually they give up and, being too heavy for them to move, wind up just making a scrapyard around the pod.

Fast forward a little less than 50 years when a certain two tailed fox comes across it while looking for some scrap to use. Curious as to what could be inside when he's unable to open it, he makes something to tow the pod to his shack and it ends up becoming his own little pet project.

One day, while the fox is out, the blue and yellow hedgehog in the pod finally wakes up.

The amnesiac stumbles his way out of the pod and falls onto the ground. And of course it's that moment the fox finally returns home.

And while the fox had no idea what to expect from the stranger, something he defientely wasn't expecting was for them to be terrified upon seeing him.

(The red rings aren't inhibitors but rather cuffs that they used to help keep him in line aboard the ARK)

It takes a while for the currently nameless hedgehog to even think about trusting the fox. People meant bad things happen to him, even if he doesn't remember why. He ends up subconsciously curling into a ball and stays that way for a while, baffling the fox as to when he eats or drinks.

(They much later learn that he doesn't need to eat or drink as he's able to sustain himself with his own energy)

And while the hedgehog doesn't talk he eventually gives the fox a chance, who he'd nicknamed Tails in his head, and becomes overprotective over him. From there they slowly but surely come to view each other as brothers.

Anna Graytail-Hunter (IMS RO)

Shoshanna Graytail-Hunter Age: 26 Occupation: Guild herbalist and adventurer

Shoshanna, or Anna, is the adopted daughter of Lillain Graytail and functions as the chapters herbalist and healer. Anna, then David, was found alongside the corpses of her parents by Lillain completely by accident while she was hunting the very monster which had killed Anna's parents. As wandering unaffiliated hunters Anna moved around the continent with her parents hunting dangerous creatures that threatened smaller towns or homesteads. Most of their contracts where from people who had problems with highly ranked monsters but could not afford the guild fees for posting a bounty and so Anna's parent would take what was given as a reward and sell off the most valuable parts of the monsters they hunted.

Lillain found them shortly after the monster they had been hunting had died but was not able to save Anna's parents. She was quick to take the child into her care and did everything in her power to help the traumatized boy. Anna remained nearly catatonic for the entire two weeks it took Lillain to travel back to her chapter house but upon meeting Rory, Anna opened up a little and began to respond but would still not utter a word for an entire year. When she finally did begin to speak it was only to correct people who would refer to her as a boy but gradually she would begin to speak more and by the age of ten she was functioning just as well as any child her age.

When she was eleven Anna found she had a talent for handling and identifying plants after casually mentioning how a local apothecary had mixed a deadly herb into a customers order. This not only saw the apothecary arrested for attempted murder, but also showed Anna that she had something to offer her adoptive family and the guild. She had struggled with her feelings of inadequacy for several years but upon learning her talent for plants she quickly took over the empty herbalist office in the chapter house and made it her own. For a time many people questioned why a child was in such an important position, but after single-handedly curing an epidemic which swept through the city any doubts were buried.

Anna was nineteen when she discovered her fathers rifle hidden away in Lillain's belongings while she took care of her adoptive mother during a long recovery after a monster attack and the panic attack it caused nearly had her going catatonic once again. With Rory and Lillain's help she did not fall to far and by the end of the week was demanding to know why Lillain had kept the weapon hidden away. Lillain explained that she had kept the weapon for two reasons, the first being that it was all that remained of Anna's parents and she felt that it should be passed to Anna. The second reason was that the weapon itself was incredibly rare and powerful. Most people used bows and crossbows when hunting as rifles where incredibly expensive and difficult to build because of the materials and magic required in their construction.

After receiving the weapon Anna disappeared for a month and the entire guild began to panic believing that the somewhat shy, quiet girl they had all come to love was taking up after her deceased parents. When she returned Anna would not say where she had gone, but it was clear she had been busy as she immediately began showing off impressive shooting skills and the crack of thunder and lightning became a common occurrence in the chapters range there after. Anna does not claim to be a master of the weapon as she acknowledges her true talents are in plants and medicine, but she has won several shooting tournaments and is well regarded among the guild as one of their better shots. It was not long before Anna became a common sight at the bounty board alongside Rory as the two have become one of the best teams in the guild.

Whether she is going on missions or working at the guild Anna typically wears a long kirtle and has a large pouch bursting with medicinal herbs hanging from a belt. Despite the choice of clothing, her lanky frame, large rifle, and 6'2” height Anna moves with an incredible grace when she is hunting and is incredibly stoic during a mission. However when she is simply at home or around the guild Anna is typically very shy, usually keeping her eyes averted when talking to people. For a time Anna did try to keep her blonde hair long like Lillain and Rory but she found she was constantly flicking it out of the way and its curly nature meant she had to spend far more time detangling it then she liked. So one day she chopped off most of it and went to see a hairdresser about the rest. She returned with a side-cut, the longer side now in a choppy neck length style. She has kept the style ever since and has taken to dying it a dark green which contrasts nicely with her bright green eyes.

The Ambrose Family

The Ambrose family had been blessed with beauty long before the beloved brothers were even born. Back to a time long forgotten. Back when dragons roamed the earth and demons of old still caused chaos.

The first born with the blessing was a woman named Lilith. With long hair and pointed ears, beloved by her brothers and the angels above. But as all angels do, she fell. And she fell for a human. And so began the curse of the Ambrose family. Cursed to be lovers, but to never be loved for long. A tragedy, a divorce, a death. It all began with Lilith.

The next few centuries and a statue handed down the line, whoever touched it was to have the curse. And the next poor person to touch it was an Altmer named Drystan.

Drystan was tall, beautiful, and loved by all. He held the power of lightning and the soul of a Dragonborn. And the love of Sithis. When his hands graced the statue in an attempt to save it, he had failed his bloodline from that moment. To never be truly happy.

Eventually, the curse was the last thing on Drystan’s mind as he was arrested and sent to a hellhole people called Skyrim. Where he met his one true love, a nord named Vilkas. The two had a rocky start, but eventually they were the happiest in Skyrim as far as Drystan was concerned. The heartbreak of never allowing a child in their home was nothing but a dull ache, and the burn of the Black Hand on his shoulder could be ignored for now.

Until of course, Vilkas found out. Drystan was soon shunned from his position in the Companions and left alone for three years… until Vilkas was fatally wounded. His husband survived ten days, a day for every year the two were married. Drystan swore to burn Skyrim and kill every dragon as his revenge. Maybe that’s why Night City exists today.

Hundreds of years later, a pair of brothers were born. Link and Venus Ambrose were the pride and joy of their nomad family. Loved and cherished as promised. At the age of 19 is when Link was blessed with a baby girl named Amanda, and their mother hoped that just maybe the curse was broken for good… until Link’s husband was killed in a car accident. No one could have expected it, it was natural in the chaos of the modern world… but their mother knew.

Venus is the current victim of the curse, having lost their husband in an ambush and infertile, unable to have the family he had longed for. Jett Ambrose died in an attack and was unable to be saved, and Venus lost their soulmate. Unlike his family though, Venus was able to find love again, in the arms of two Rock legends and a Fixer in Night City. While heavily aware Jett was their soulmate… they never let that truly stop them from finding love again.

And then we have the adopted Jonas Lane, who prays to every fucking god he is left ALONE.

One-Shot Wonders: Who is Alexis Cooper?

Alexis Cooper is the primary antagonist of DC Retroactive: The Flash - The 80s (2011) in the story “The Path of True Love”, written by Bill Messner-Loebs; this is her first and only appearance in DC Comics.

This one-off Rogue was a civilian briefly taken hostage by the Trickster during a robbery before she was rescued by Wally West. After Wally rescued her, she became infatuated with him to the point of obsession, convincing herself that he loved her and that they were dating. After writing him hundreds of letters over the space of a couple of months and being dissatisfied with the generic fan-response she received from him in return, she turned to more drastic measures to get his attention.

After all, The Flash never forgets about the Rogues.

She initially visits Captain Cold and offers herself as “the best hostage, well, ever”. When Len shuts this idea down, telling her that he doesn’t want to attract a hero’s attention and about the Rogues’ code - “We don’t traffic in drugs. We don’t endanger women or children. We don’t take advantage of deluded people.” - and discourages her from getting caught up in the romance of crime and heroics, she switches to a new plan. She knocks him out cold, steals the cold gun, and goes on a crime spree as the “Countess of Cold”.

Her crime spree leads her to target jewellery stores and museums - always leaving the loot behind, making it clear it’s not Len or the Rogues - in order to get the Flash’s attention, while at the same time going after the Rogues, incapacitating them and stealing their weapons. In addition to her “Countess of Cold” alias, she adopts the moniker “Reflexa, Queen of Reflections” before becoming “Alchema, Chemistry Majorette”, her main and final alias that she adopted after her run in with Dr Alchemy left her with all the abilities of the Philosopher Stone after she drained it of its power when Al tried to trap her in it.

Wally sets a trap to lure her to the Keystone Arsenal, where she is caught by him and arrested. Wally implores the agent who has been on the case with him to spare her from Arkham or Belle Reve, and the agent reveals he’s in fact a headhunter looking to find a hero for a growing city in Australia, and points out that she took down the Rogues single-handed and that he’s already got the paperwork sorted. When Wally protests, the agent informs him their first choice was Guy Gardner.

Kicking if off with my first Tav, Yfrin Sallowsong!

She's the third child of House Sallowsong, who made their fortune off lumber. Lord Sallowsong, her father, is the wood elf and the noble, her mother died when she was very young from illness. Yfrin's brother Silas is the heir. Her middle brother, Aimer, has always been distant and quiet, but she suspects he might have a good head for strategy on him, and a better heart than Silas. Yfrin’s court looks down on her and her siblings for being half elves and not full wood elves, as her father broke tradition to marry her mother. He’s been on his deathbed for about 10 years and Silas is in a regent type role. Yfrin suspects Silas of poisoning their dad but she can’t prove it. Silas is cruel and manipulative and sees his siblings as a means to gaining power. When Yfrin was 19 she was engaged to somebody she thought was the love of her life, only to find out a few days before the wedding it had all been a political alliance arranged by Silas and her betrothed had another lover. Heartbroken, she fled to study wizardry, hoping to find an escape from politics. But Silas’s reach went far, and she found that no matter what she did she could not escape her name. Upon her graduation, she tried to steal a small fortune and flee Baldur’s Gate altogether, but Silas tracked her down and now has effectively placed her under house arrest. She refuses to marry but Silas makes “arrangements” for political allies to spend time with her, in the hopes they will divulge information to her. Silas uses her love for their father as leverage, knowing she won’t leave while he’s still alive. She doesn’t care about using her body so long as she doesn’t have to give up what little freedom she has left, finding no comfort in the idea of being bound to one other person for the rest of her days. She settles for the jewel-encrusted bars of her cage, summoning lightning and fire when she’s angry, threatening to watch the empire Silas has built off their family’s lumber burn. Mostly, though, she’s bored, feeling nothing for her revolving door of companions, dreaming of a great, wide world out there to see. When she is kidnapped on the nautiloid, this is finally her Main Character Moment, where she gets to be the hero of her own story. At the same time, power-hungry, desperate Yfrin is also discovering that maybe the world has enough heroes already.

Spoilers under the cut talking about her "Good" and "bad" endings

Yfrin takes the mind flayer parasites and is not okay when she loses these powers. It takes a lot of grieving to get over the loss of them.

She saw right through Astarion from the beginning and was also manipulating him, but they ended up bonding over their similar trauma and developing a real respect for each other.

She admires Halsin for being so kind, even in the face of all of his troubles. She would never do this herself but she really likes it about him, and when that kindness is turned on her, she has trouble accepting it at first but eventually she learns to bask in it

If she was a main companion in the game you could convince her to kill Silas, finally say goodbye to her father, and have her brother Aimer take over.

In her good ending, post-game, Yfrin tracks down the gods cure Astarion of his vampirism with a Wish spell (I haven’t decided if she succeeds or not but definitely this is what she does), and then she goes to find Halsin where he teaches her the ways of the wood elves and she reconnects with nature. Yfrin is canonically poly and eventually has a child with a human trader named Dain.

Astarion and Yfrin eventually part but may meet up from time to time.

In Yfrin's bad ending, she returns to House Sallowsong, where she lets her brother Silas kill their father. She becomes an aide to Silas, and it is implied that eventually Silas will grow suspicious of Yfrin's power and poison her.

Kakashi X Rai

A small army of 12 of Konoha's most elite raced through the shadows towards their border. They had all been summoned and told about a small village that had intel on Konoha and needed to be dealt with. Permanently.

According to records, several spies infiltrated Konoha's walls disguised as civilians, one of them captured and brought in. All had eyes kept on them as they went about the village. But the most infuriating thing was, the one who was brought in under arrest, was let go.

Rai was among the lethal killers darting through the shadows, as was her Captain of Team Ro, Tenzo. She recalled the five photos of the individuals that were seen within the walls.

Such a daunting task ahead of them. An annihilation of an entire village.

Nobody left alive.

Not even the children.

Not much was known about the village, other than it was small and remote. The population was estimated between 100 to 200 people.

Now, Rai mostly worked with Tenzo. They were familiar with each other. However, she hadn't worked with the others. She had heard of them and their skills, researched them prior to leaving to brief her on their skills and capabilities. All of them had high body counts.

Of the 12, three were women. The others were all men. However, 11 of them were human. While one was a demon. The Wolf, as Rai was called, was notorious among the ANBU as a demon. Many steered clear of her. All of these individuals were hand picked specifically for this kind of mission. They specialized in mass execution.

Among them were water users, earth users, a wood user, miasma user, lightning user, air users, and a fire user. All knew to not bring attention to their targets and their mission, so bright, loud, and flashy jutsus of any sort were banned for them, unless absolutely necessary. But that wasn't a problem for this group.

Rai had to keep herself under control. She could feel her power threatening to break her composure as the team slipped through the shadows of the forest.

Upon crossing a border, they took more careful routes to avoid any well traveled areas.

Finally, they crested a small mountain range, halting in the dense foliage as they assessed the village below.

They already had a plan of attack. To strike in the middle of the night.

The village wasn't too spread out. It was true the tricky part was the outlying buildings, but the trickier part was internal ones.

There was a shift in the air. Rai took several whiffs. A storm was approaching. Perfect.

As the night started the storm struck. The river raged, ‘taking’ out the main bridge into the country. With the threat of commoners stumbling upon them minimized, they slipped into position.

Rai, Tenzo, and one other male waited on the eastern edge of the territory.

Lightning struck the top of a mountain.

They were off.

Shadows swallowed unsuspecting individuals with teeth and claws. A fog like miasma lulled many into an eternal sleep. The sounds of grunts, cries, and bodies falling were drowned out by the storm. House by house, room by room, person by person was swiftly taken.

Shadow clones of the others darted in and out of the darkness. Lights steadily went out throughout the village.

As quickly as it started, it ended. Several hours it took to thoroughly go through the village and annihilate every single person.

Meeting up in the middle, Rai and several others pulled out scrolls. These were to take bodies of specific individuals back to Konoha.

Rai had come across the female target. The dark haired woman wasn't expecting anything or anyone. Her attack was quick and through her heart. The woman dropped where she was walking. Upon returning to the small home of the woman, Rai opened the scroll. Double checking the info, she IDed the woman. This was the woman that stole intel.

Draping the scroll upside down over the body, a poof sounded as the body was absorbed into the seal. The scroll retracted and sealed on itself. Nothing was left of the woman but the blood stain she left on the floor.

Rai picked up the scroll and placed it in her back pouch.

It had to be after 3 am when the elites gathered quickly in the lightening storm.

The earth users created a massive crevice to bury the whole village. The water users helped to create mud and wash the buildings and bodies into the large gaps before the earth users closed the crevice.

Tenzo was up next. He used his wood style to create a forest around them of varying tree maturity. Saplings to mature trees sprung up around them.

The group retreated, taking one last look at where Jomae used to be. Now, it looked like there was never a village there.

Lightning danced across the sky as they turned and headed for home.

Kakashi thought it was a little unusual for Ibiki to be out and about. Even more so that Ibiki was knocking on his door early in the morning. “Kakashi, we need you down at the morgue.”

The morgue? They needed identification of a body.

Getting up, he dragged himself out of bed and got dressed before heading down to the interrogation unit's morgue. A thick heavy metal door down a dark hallway blocked his way into the interrogation unit. Rapping lightly on the metal, a small panel opened to reveal Ibiki's eyes before closing. The door opened with an eerie squeak, allowing Kakashi inside.

The whole way down here, Kakashi didn't have a good feeling. He followed Ibiki to the morgue. Inoichi was there as well, at one of the five blanket covered bodies on the tables. It looked like he was trying to get information from the mind of the person beneath the cloth.

Ibiki made his way to the fourth table by a medical nin. The medical nin looked at Ibiki and Kakashi before rolling back the cloth to reveal a face.

The face of a woman.

Of Hanare.

Kakashi gritted his teeth as his heart dropped. He felt sick.

“Does this woman look familiar?” Ibiki asked him. It took Kakashi a bit to compose himself and not let his anger get the best of him before he nodded. “Can you give us a name?”

“The name she had given me was Hanare.” Kakashi felt as if his mouth wasn't his own. The words felt weird.

“Thank you,” Ibiki said before the medical nin pulled the cover back over the woman's head to conceal her identity.

No. This wasn't true. This wasn't happening. Kakashi was in a fog as his feet carried him through the village. He wasn't paying attention to where he was going.

He found himself in the park. A bench called for him to sit. So he did, with his elbows on his knees. He just needed a bit to think, to accept all that just happened. The sight of the woman on the table, beneath the white blanket. It startled him.

Sitting there for several minutes, he took in a deep breath and sat up, looking up to the sky. There was no way he could deal with his genin today. Perhaps Rai would make him feel better. Hauling himself up off the stone bench, he turned and stuffed his hands into his pockets as he made his way to Rai's apartment.

The door opened. He greeted her with a small sad smile.

“Kakashi?” Rai asked in a soft voice. She was stunned to see him at her door. But what stunned her the most was the sad look he held in his eye. What happened? She wondered as she stepped aside to let him in. Something was bothering him.

Kakashi slipped off his shoes without a sound. Then, he stepped deeper into her place, slipping off his head band and unzipping his vest.

Okay, something was really wrong. Rai watched as he sat himself down on her couch. Rai kept an eye on him as she walked around her couch and sat on his left. The moment she settled, Kakashi leaned over and placed his head on her shoulder. How her heart hurt for him. Something was bothering him. Turning herself, she placed a hand on his head and placed a kiss in his hair. Shifting herself back a bit more, she wrapped her other arm around him, coaxing him to lay on top of her. Kakashi didn't fuss. He accepted her actions. Tucking his head beneath her chin, he made himself comfortable. He wasn't planning on going anywhere for a bit.

How Rai wanted to ask what happened. To allow him to talk and voice his sadness or concern. But with him being this quiet, she thought to just let him be. She placed another kiss on his head as she let her fingers run through his silver mane.
