Seeing the director(?) for ares post about a 2025 date and most of the positive comments aren’t about Tron, the potential for the movie etc. they’re all about Evan peters being literally the only reason a bunch of random people are going to watch.

Most comments from Tron fans (classic or legacy) are cautious or begging them to actually like- be in the universe and follow basic shit.

I don’t mean to constantly doom(?) post but it’s just so sad and so over. And as a classic fan it is painful that Tron is nothing but an aesthetic to a lot of people.

Tr3n is stupid too. Ares is no better but still… why stop that’s not even close to a o shape… why. However I would take an early days of the classic system prequel where it’s Tr0n because funny.

So, something awesome happened to me today.

I went into one of those discount bookstores where they also sell movies and music and other stuff. I went in just looking to get Tron Legacy.

Came out with this:

(This is the same store where I also acquired 2001: A Space Odyssey and Sonic the Hedgehog 2)

I honestly never thought I'd find a copy of 2010 anywhere, let alone one that doesn't look beat-up as fuck. It's a DVD and not a Blu-ray (I'm not sure that movie even EXISTS on Blu-ray) but I'm still so happy to have found it!

Birthday boy

Happy 41st anniversary to Tron (1982), as of right now it’s still the 9th for a few more minutes! Some stuff put out by others said birthday and it’s absolutely rooted in my mind now. He gets a little party hat.
