The event is on Sun June 20 - 11:00 AM Westside Pier

Playing as a double feature, two new Disney+ shows for the whole family to enjoy: The Mysterious Benedict Society and Monsters at Work Monsters at Work tells the story of Tylor Tuskmon (Ben Feldman) and his dream to become a Jokester, as well as his misadventures with MIFT, the crew that keeps Monsters, Inc. running.

Never seen so much chatter and social media on one street fair as the Tribeca 2014 this weekend. Seems like everyone there has a wonderful story to tell.  Anyone who went seems to have had a good time, If you weren’t in New York then maybe next year. If you were in the neighborhood and did not go, I hope you have a good excuse.

Tribeca Film Festival Opens its Doors, Leads Students to the Oscars

One of the Top 5 festivals in the country is open for submissions! 

The 13th Annual Tribeca Film Festival will be held April 16 – 27, 2014.

Unlike many smaller festivals, Tribeca is Academy-Accredited.  That’s a huge boon for students, since any short film that wins a qualifying award will be eligible for Oscar nomination-consideration.

The Festival’s mission is to help filmmakers reach the broadest possible audience, enable the international film community and general public to experience the power of cinema and promote New York City as a major filmmaking center. Tribeca Film Festival is well known for being a diverse international film festival that supports emerging and established directors. The Festival has screened over 1400 films from over 80 countries since its first festival in 2002. Since its founding, it has attracted an international audience of more than 4 million attendees and has generated an estimated $750 million in economic activity for New York City.

The Tribeca Film Festival will even waive the entry fee for any student film submission, if you send in a photocopy of your student ID!  You can start the submission process here.
