The day l met Tamino in Chicago. His music pierced my very soul. I’ve been too many shows and there is nothing like his voice and delivery of song. It sends you to another place in time. He’s a Scorpionic Triton.

Dear #Classof2023,

If you were a college freshman/rookie in 2019, you didn't complete your first year in-person as the world & life as we knew it changed on March 11th 2020 due to #COVID19.  You spent all of the 2020-2021 school year online & portions of 2021-2022 (and likely some of 2022-2023).  

Your first semester (Freshmen in Fall 2019) may have been your only 100% in-person Fall & your last semester (Seniors in Spring 2023) may have been your only 100% in-person Spring.

You overcame a once-in-a-century calamity to cross the stage as a college graduate - congrats on this accomplishment as a truly historic graduating class 👩🏻‍🎓🧑🏻‍🎓👨🏻‍🎓

Contexte

Les vagues accrochent et écument le rivage, les pieds dans le sable chaud, les yeux perdus sur les eaux calmes de l'océan. Au loin des bateaux naviguent, se laissent porter par les flots. Mais ces navires ne sont pas n'importe lesquels : ils font rêver chaque homme et chaque femme de l'archipel… Les vivenefs sont magiques. Fabriquées en bois sorcier elles transportent les équipages des marchands à travers les sept mers. Leur figure de proue s'anime, pense et ressent. Un véritable guide à travers les eaux parfois violentes, un guide pour leur capitaine et son équipage. Mais dans l'archipel un vent de rébellion gronde, ceux qui n'ont pas la chance d'être marchands reconnus, deviennent des forbans, des corsaires sans foi ni loi, des pirates qui pillent tout sur leur passage, des contrebandiers qui n'hésite pas à doubler les marchands dans leur quête de richesse. Dans l'ombre, les sirènes et les tritons réclament leur dû. Les dragons ont disparu au cours d'une guerre à laquelle ils ont participé pour sauver les humains. Mais depuis plus rien… Prisonniers, esclaves, ils se cachent, tentent de survivre. Enfin c'est sans compter les shamans, ordre magique désorganisé qui s’immisce dans la vie de l'archipel… saurez-vous trouver votre place ?

I don't know where it came from, but several years ago this idea popped into my head unbidden, and for some reason it tickles me. I don't know if it's funny, but I like it and I made it into a zine, I hope you enjoy it.

It lays out really nicely as 3-up spreads on A4 paper, so you can print, staple and fold it, then cut it into 3 zines. It made it really easy to print up 20 of them to trade at this art social thing I went to
