I was going through old pictures on my computer and I found screenshots of a post with DBZ Abridged quotes that @zipp0flare​ sent me years ago. And a quote just stood out. So, here we are.  Poor Shorty. He lost his LSD. Pidge isn’t doing much to comfort him, other than patting his back, but. Well.  RIP Shorty’s milk jug of LSD.  Press F to pay respects? But. Why did he have the LSD? Where did he get it? What made him drop it?

Oh.  That’s why he dropped it.  I think Chip shot near him and startled him.  Oof.

Callisto's First Memory

Here, have a very, very early draft of a piece of a very, very far off story in the "Stars, Not Constellations" universe:

 The first thing you know is sweetness. Your tongue is laden with the chalky remains of your egg’s shell and coated in the syrupy amniotic fluid. The mix of the two creates a strange textural sensation… but it’s one that you like.

The second thing you know is pressure, and this sensation, while just as strange as the first, is far more unpleasant.

Something pushes and stretches and tears at your physical body, and you feel pain as something tears your innermost soul to pieces. Blackness encroaches on your vision, and you fight as hard as you can to keep it at bay. A fight that is not helped by the fact that you also have to fight what got torn away from you.

You fight for what seems like an eternity… but then, in the blink of an eye, your battle is over. The darkness is gone, and your headspace is quiet. So are your surroundings.

You hate this quiet.

So you scream.

The sound delights you.

So, of course, the natural action you take next is to scream even more.

The sound continues to delight you.

  The cycle of scream, delight, scream even more in response continues until—

 “Wow! This one certainly has a pair of lungs on them!”

—A voice interrupts you and your screaming cuts off in surprise.

 “Maybe this little one will take after you, eh?”

“I think it’s still a bit too soon to tell,” another voice answers, and you blink in surprise and swivel your head around in the direction of the sound.

 You are still young, and your eyes aren’t fully developed, so all you can really see is two big, grey blobs sitting close beside you. One shifts a little and bends closer to you, and your limited vision clarifies enough to identify the close bits as a pair of arms which settle around you before lifting you up and settling you down on something soft. The other grey blob also shifts and its arms settle a colorful cloth around you.

Or, at least, you assumed that was its intent, until the cloth started to rub up and down your own arms, and then your back, and then your legs.

But you find that you like this type of pressure. At least until the pressure moves to your head and face, and you squint your eyes and pout, making unhappy noises until the arms finally oblige and the cloth disappears. You blink again and, surprisingly, things are just a little bit clearer than before.

…Maybe the earlier vision issues were because your eyes are underdeveloped, but, rather, because they were all gunked up with the remains of your egg?

Anyways, now that your vision is clear the two grey blobs actually appear person-shaped and have a bit of color to them. Mostly they’re still grey, but you definitely see two orbs of tyrian on the face of the one holding the cloth and two orbs of yellow on the face of the one holding you. You babble happily at them, and they smile in response. Which, or course, only causes you to babble even more.

The one holding you briefly and gently brushes a finger near your eyes.

“Lime… so that means that the eldest is Callisto, right?” she says as you latch onto her finger with your tiny hands.

  The sound of rustling paper. “Lemme double check…”

 You’re too busy turning that word, “Callisto,” over in your mind to hear what the verdict is. Not that you really need to, though.

Callisto… something about that word just seems… right. This is destiny.

 This is you.

And now that the truth of the universe has been established… you’re starting to feel sleepy…

“Oh, she’s falling asleep already, huh? Well that visit was sure short but sweet! Do you think she’s going to wake up on her moon, yet? Which one do you think it will be?”

  These words… they feel like they should make some sort of innate sense to you, but you’re too tired right now to puzzle them out.

You drift further away from the waking world.

 “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves—that’s still ages away for them. All Callisto needs to know right now is that we love her so very, very much.”

Love? You’re not entirely sure what this means yet, but…

 “Yeah, yeah… My inner researcher will chill out for now. At least long enough to say that I love you, Callisto! May your dreams be sweet wherever you end up!”

 …you think you will grow to learn it. And to like it.

And to need the sensation all to yourself.

But for now, all you need to know is that your name is Callisto, and you are loved.

And I love them all. Any other ideas for alternate versions? Also we need to give Riolu some love he is the best big brother.

uM I FUCKING LOVE THE TRINITY IT JUST STARTED LAST NIGHT BUT IT’S MY FAVORITE THING??? i’ve had to come such a long way with how i feel about duplicate characters. bc when i first started rping in general, i was always so scared of duplicates because i always thought everyone else was better. but now playing clarke, and interacting with amazing clarkes like yours, i’ve realized how much better it is to interact and talk to people who play your character??? plus tripletverse is already My Shit. basically amanda and tot, you’re both the actual lights of my life and your clarkes are done so damn well that i will forever be in awe.

“Gee, Coran, how come you get to snuggle with all four of the Holt siblings?” 

You know, I adore VLD Coran. He’s like this eccentric space uncle. And I appreciate the man. I sadly don’t appreciate him as much as I probably should through art, but I think I made up for that by letting him sleep with all four of the Baltoan Holt siblings. And by letting him sleep peacefully; I had considered him awake and tired because sleeping with a bunch of cats isn’t easy. One’s hard enough at times, but four, fifty-plus pound cats? Goodness. But, here he is, enjoying his rest. And! In two versions, one with the darker lighting, one with a clearer appearance. 

I think one of my favourite things for this is how each Holt is in a different pose. Chip is so cute, just being a sort of loaf and curled in against the bend of Coran’s leg; I had a cat and a few different dogs that loved sleeping there with me. Shorty is content curled up on his side. Matt’s at peace, just sprawled out on his back. And Pidge. She’s a contortionist with that pose. Thankfully I don’t think she’s ever woken up sore from that. 

Also, because I enjoyed her pose so much, I had isolated just Pidge’s last night when I was lining.

After watching The Sand People episode of DotU, I needed the kitty triplets of the palakitty au stacked up to be taller. I was going to just keep it VLD, but I didn’t think they’d be tall enough to surpass anyone still since I’d have them sit on the shoulders instead of standing for balance. So, it became a crossover so they can be taller than DotU Pidge.  I’mma be honest, I think DotU Pidge would love palakitty AU, finding the fact that there are triplets instead of twins or one kid. And technically two Pidges in the same AU, though one is Pidge, the other is Shorty.  Ah, it feels good being able to draw the triplets.  And they aren’t the only ones popping in.

Lance adoring a gaggle of Pidges and one Chip. And sure the Baltoans are peaceful. Well, while friendly and social, they are also fearsome and protective. Especially Pidge; she’s very protective of her brothers. Foes that are Sendak’s size don’t even deter her.

Well, Colleen can’t be the only Holt getting love. So for Fathers day, Sam gets hugs. And this time with triplets?! Hey, that works! I feel happy with this one.

What happens when you’re an older brother with triplet younger siblings and you worry about them? You watch them as they rest, making sure they are truly at peace.  I wanted triplets. Originally I wasn’t going to draw Matt and it was going to be Chip watching them, looking like he just woke up. But when I was debating if I could add in Bae Bae or not, my brain changed things around to get them all in. Also, I was going to put Chip in blue pajamas, but I decided on green in the end so he didn’t fully match the blanket they were on. 

Anyway! I hope you guys enjoy this wholesome triplet doodle, plus... technically two. Bae Bae’s family, too, y’know.  Until next time.

I really need to try and think of more stuff for triplets. I just adore them.

I keep telling myself to draw Pidge, Chip, and Shorty as triplets and together. But I tend to lack ideas. However, I did manage to come up with something for the palakitty AU.  I love that Pidge and Shorty are practically identical, only their hair differing slightly. And it’s cute drawing Shorty without glasses, though he probably wears them at times to look like Chip; their parents probably refuse to let Pidge wear them, too, so that they can tell her from Shorty. They also probably made sure their outfits differed slightly, though they probably swap from time to time.  Anyway! I was so happy that I could figure out drawing for the triplets! Especially in the forest. They’re probably on Balto for this.

I had seen it around and this thing about the marshmallows and be a hazard felt right to do for these three.  Anyway! Here we go! Triplets being the hazards they are! I don’t know for certain, but their roles felt right for each one. Sometimes I worry about Chip having to deal with those two hazards. They’re not just hazards to society, to the entire universe! And to think, they’re supposed to be a bunch of geniuses. Oh well. Be strong, Chip. Though if this keeps up, he’s definitely going to get white hair long before his siblings.

I didn’t want to shade this. But I did finally line and colour these triplets with the floofs. Even giving them a super giant floof. I love the idea of the triplets at tiny cat folk and having the floofs around.

I wanted to work with the palakitty au again and do a redraw. So. I took this scene. The original scene was from meeting with the Arusians.  And you know? When on a planet full of tiny cat people.
