March 9: Bees Legacies: Posie Power Rangers 2017: Trimberly for @clairebear1127

A 7-year-old Penelope ran around her backyard chasing her best friend Josie. They were screeching and laughing, and Penelope was so happy that it was summer and that she wasn’t in school.  She was even more happy that Josie came over to play. 

Suddenly, Josie stopped in her tracks and Penelope ran right into her and fell over. “Josieee,” she said. “Why’d you stop?” She looked up at Josie, her hands on the grass behind herself. Josie was standing perfectly still.

“There’s bees, Penny.”

“They won’t hurt you,” Penelope said, finally getting to her feet. “They’re scared of you, too.”

“I’m not scared,” Josie said stubbornly, crossing her arms. Penelope put a hand to Josie’s shoulder.

“Come on, let’s go play over there.” She pointed closer to her house.

“Okay,” Josie said. Penelope took her hand and they ran away. 

“What should we play now?” Penelope asked.

“Ow!” Josie cried out. She slapped her hand over her arm and tears flooded her eyes. “I got stung!”

“Let me see,” Penelope said.

“You said they wouldn’t sting me!”

“I’m sorry!” Penelope took Josie’s hand from her arm and peered at it. A red welt already formed on Josie’s skin. “Let’s go inside. My Mamí will fix it.”

“It hurts so much,” Josie said, tears on her cheeks. Penelope took Josie’s hand as gently as she could and led her inside.

“Mamí!” Penelope shouted. “Mamí! Josie got stung by a bee!” Trini came rushing into the room.

“What happened?”

“I didn’t do anything!” Josie said quickly.

“Oh, baby, I know,” Trini said. She pulled out a chair in the kitchen and had Josie sit down.

“Be careful!” Penelope shouted.

“Pen, it’s okay,” Trini told her daughter. “Okay, Josie. I’m going to have to pull the stinger out, then we’ll put some cream on it, okay?” Josie’s bottom lip trembled.

“Will it hurt?” Josie asked.

“No. The worst part is over,” Trini told her. “I’ll be right back.” She left the room and Penelope walked over to Josie to pat her knee.

“It’s okay, JoJo. My Mamí can fix anything.”

“I hear someone went to war with a bee,” a voice said, walking into the kitchen. Penelope looked up to see her mom standing there. Kim came over and ruffled Josie’s hair. “You okay, kiddo?” Josie sniffed and nodded.

“I’m a big girl,” she said, her voice wavering. 

“Oh, I know,” Kim said. “You’re tough! And that bee won’t hurt you anymore. He died when he stung you.” Josie’s eyes widened.

“I…I killed a bee?” More tears spilled down her cheeks. “I didn’t mean to! I promise!”

“Mo-oom!” Penelope whined. “Don’t make Josie cry!”

“I’m sorry, Jos,” Kim said. She knelt down. “You didn’t do it. That’s just what happens when bees sting.” Penelope still glared at her mom. Josie wiped her hand under her eyes. Kim tilted her head at Josie. “I think you need a big hug, huh?” Josie nodded. Kim wrapped her arms around Josie and hugged her tightly, careful to avoid her hurt arm. “Trini will take good care of you and then you’ll be as good as new.”

“Okay,” Trini said walking back in. “Let me see the patient.” Kim stood up and backed away.

“I’ll hold your hand,” Penelope said to Josie. She stepped to Josie’s side and took her hand. “If you have to squeeze it hard, you can.”

“Thank you,” Josie said politely. Trini knelt down and held up the tweezers. “I’m going to use these to take out the stinger, okay?” Josie nodded. Trini took Josie’s arm and looked at the wound closely. She used the tweezers to take the stinger out and put them on the table. Then she took out some first aid cream and put a little on Josie’s arm. “There. How’s that?”

“Better,” Josie sniffed.

“I know what will make it feel even better,” Kim said. “How about some ice cream?”

“Yeah!” Penelope cheered.

“Okay,” Josie said softly.

“Oh, I think you can do better than that,” Kim said. She threw her fists up in the air. “Ice cream!” Josie giggled and covered her mouth.

“Yes, please!” She said.

“And I think we have some whipped cream,” Kim added.

“Can I do it?” Penelope asked.

“Of course,” Kim nodded. Trini grinned.

“Don’t go too overboard,” she said.

“Excuse me, but after what Josie has been through, overboard is the only way to go,” Kim told her wife.

“Okay, okay,” Trini said. “Go crazy.”

“Yayy!” The young girls cheered.

Vacation Nat headcannons

A/N: I based the vacation spot of an island in the Caribbean called St. John my family visited on a regular basis while I was growing up

~ Nat loves the beach but she prefers cooler weather beaches to warmer ones

~ Nat gets up early every morning to go running in the dawn light before people crowd the beach

~ When she comes back she’ll wake you up with a kiss to your forehead and softly say “time to wake up lyubov'”

~ she loves your groggy morning noises

~ she always makes breakfast for you and has a full itinerary of what’s going to be happening through the day even if it’s just laying on the beach

~ she respects your boundaries and is willing to do any excursions as long as you feel comfortable

~ when it’s beach days she puts on bathing suits that make your jaw drop

~ you can’t help but stare and she loves it

~ she praises you because she thinks no matter what you wear to the beach your an eternal cut from diamond

~ Nat has a secret love of building sandcastles and always ropes you into making one or looking for the one from the previous day

~ Nat loves snorkelling and she will stare at fish for hours

~ she always begs you to go snorkelling with her and will hold your hand the entire time sometimes staring at fish sometimes staring at you trying not to smile and let salt water in her mouth

~ She’s a natural at fitting in with the locals and always gets the actual best restaurants that aren’t super touristy

~ Nat is also terrified of iguanas. You think they are adorable but Nat will hide behind you grabbing your arms for safety

~ the island you two always go to they have silver hook bracelets that fishermen's wives would give them before they left on long journeys. Typically if someone’s heart belongs to another they point the hook towards their heart

~ the first time you two went before you were dating she got you and her bracelets

~ the second time you went your bracelets were facing your hearts

~ in the evening the two of you will sit out on the porch of your vacation house and snuggle while watching the sun set and listening to the sounds of the rainforest

~ you run your hands through her hair gently rubbing her face and shoulders

~ she reaches up and kisses you at random to let you know she appreciates you

~ when it’s time to leave you miss the island but your greatest treasure from the island is Natasha

~ the plane ride home is long but you spend hours sitting with Nat watching movies reading or just falling asleep on each other

What do you mean "no one has mentioned the classic ships"?

Faberry as Co-captains/Co-parents to Glee and maybe Beth. Captains and Dragons and Somewhere in Between are two amazing examples.

Bechloe as Co-captains/Co-parents for the Bellas and Emily, especially in PP2. Try Candy Wars or I Saw The Sign if you don't believe me.

In that case, add Staubrey too. They may not be Co-captains but they are sometimes more parently than Bechloe. I.e. any nerd!Stacie fics honestly. They give me life.

AvaLance in legit every episode of Legends. Because who's better equipped to handle a rag tag group of misfit heroes than an ex-dead ex-assassin and a time travelling clone. Plus, the gang doesn't leave without Sara's famous send offs, remember?

Not to mention, Juliantina in Power Rangers AU are exactly the Co-parents trope everyone dreams of.

And lastly, I'm surprised no one mentioned Trimberly. Your Family Are Who and other Penelope Hart fics are simply phenomenal. But tell me the Donut Playfight scene didn't convince you that they are soulmates and destined to look after their two kids, alien robot, ranger-dad and wall-dad.

PS: Hello, Pyramid readers! I have been sneaking around, writing this side story for months now. As inspired by the surprisingly enjoyable Power Rangers movie in 2017, I have modified the teens to my own purposes and they will be included on many Pyramid exploits from here on out. Enjoy!

It was Zack’s fault not theirs, he had taken the prank war that had started between the rangers to far, he deserved to get his due. He had planted a stink bomb in Trini’s car, well it was not her car but it was her families. Kim and Trini had both come back to the car and as Trini had pulled into the Hart’s drive way it went off, half way through Kim and Trini’s goodby kiss. The stink bomb would have been enough to convince Trini to get revenge on Zack, but the fact that the car still smelled of it even days after had ensured that he was going to pay hell for it.

When it had gone off Trini and Kim had come running out of the car stumbling onto the lawn, gaging from the smell. The commotion caused both of Kim’s parents to come out of the house, it was not a good way to meet the parents, they were not very thrilled to meet Kim’s new girlfriend who had just gotten blasted by a stink bomb. Kim had been ushered inside soon after, needing to wash the smell off of her, Trini had gotten a disapproving glare and had left in the extremely smelly car.

It had led them to a full out war with Zack, he did not know he was about to go to war yet, but he would soon enough. They had a few different plans for revenge but they had decided finally that they would do something similar, ruin a date for him. He was going to get a taste of their revenge.

“Kim, babe, we need to go and soon,” Trini was sitting in the booth next to her, they may or may not have been planning what was likely one of the best revenge plans ever. Or at least that is what Kim had said it was going to be.

“Just one more minute,” Kim was glaring over at Zack who was on a date just a few table’s away. They were going to get back at Zack for ruining their first date, he had managed to play a prank on them in the middle of one of the exclusive restaurants in the city.

“This is just recon, we can’t stay long or he will see us.” Trini pulled Kim back in the booth some, as Zack’s date turned their head. “We need to go now, we can get back at him later, now that we officially know he is on a date.”

“Ok, back to the car then?” Kim tilted her head in the direction of the door.

“Sounds good, make sure not to get spotted on your way  out,” Trini was already getting out of her chair, they had specifically dressed out of their normal color scheme, so that they would not be as obvious to anyone who did spot them.

“We both know I am the sneaky one, in this relationship.” Kim quickly caught up with Trini, matching the shorter girl step for step.

“No you are not,” Trini’s voice was light and she was smiling in that way that made Kim’s heart flutter at the sight. She loved being the cause of Trini’s smile, and her laugh, it made her heart skip a beat, it made her want to shout it to the world.

The two of them were holding in laughter, as the ran out the door of the restaurant, Kim’s heart was pounding in her chest in the best way. She reached over and intertwined her fingers with Trini’s,  Trini got ahead of her and pulled her towards the car. Kim pushed Trini back against the Car door quickly, and leaned in for a chaste kiss. Their lips met for what seemed like minutes but was only seconds. Pulling away Kim smiled at Trini, she moved over to the side and opened up the car door. Trini circled around the Car and slipped into the driver’s side, as Kim took shotgun, they were going to have to wait for a while before they could do anything.

Trini may have come up with the plan but she certainly was not happy with all of the waiting that the plan required. The last thing she was, was a patient person, anyone who spent more than an hour with her knew that.  It was one of the things she was working on, especially after the incident at the amusement park, she had managed to accidentally break a whole game booth. It was certainly not one of her proudest moments, she had been attempting to impress Kim, it did not work out the way she wanted it to. In the end the both of them had ended up running away from a yelling carnie. She was pretty sure that the next year she was not going ot be allowed into the fair.

She was going to keep her cool though, and  be patient it was going to be worth it, they were going to get Zack as he was taking the girl home, they had two bags of pure sugar, the kind you would buy at a candy store in the back one was pink the other yellow, they knew he hated sand, and the closest thing they could think of was covering him in sugar. Kim had a bucket of water she planned on pouring on him after, it may be over kill but it was their plan, after all he had hit them right before they had been able to kiss. That had been his biggest mistake, if he had been just a few minutes later they would not be near as mad as they found themselves being at the moment.

It took a good twenty minutes for Zack and his date to come out of the restaurant, they were smiling and laughing. It was all working out according to plan, there was no doubt in Kim’s mind that they were going to get the pay back they so deserved. Zack had no way  of knowing they were coming for him, all of the previous pranks had been done just with in the ship, or at school. Both of them knew that Zack was the one to first bring the pranks out of the containment of the ship and school, they were just bringing it back around to him.The two were completely unaware of the two people in the car across the parking lot who were about to get their payback.

“You get the bucket I get the sugar,” Trini reached into the back seat grabbing the two bags, and rushing out of the car, Kim was behind her moving slower due to the bucket of water she was carefully carrying.

“Trini, we have to move quicker they are about to get in the car,” Kim whispered, she used her abilities to move herself forward quicker, they had no time to lose.

It was going to be close, if Zack was able to close the car door and get in before they reached him then the two would have to get back to the car and follow after them to complete the prank when Zack went to drop his date off. They had thought of doing it in front of the girl’s house but they figured they would not bring her into this, after all she was not really the target of the prank, it was Zack. They both hurried behind cars as they made their way closer and closer towards their prey. Trini turned the corner of the last car between them and Zack, she had a wicked smile on her face as she entered his line of sight. The utter shock and then fear that crossed Zack’s face after was worth the wait and the planning.

She was taking up Zack and his date’s attention as Kim came up from the opposite direction. In one swift motion Trini ripped open both bags of sugar, and jumped up to Zack’s height to dump them both on his head, with sugar covering him he lunged forward at Trini. Before he could reach her though she was running in the opposite direction back towards their car. She knew that Kim would be good on her own, they had talked about it beforehand, she would run and make them think she was alone, then Kim would come in and drench both of them before they knew what was happening.

Stopping at the car she heard the sound of the bucket being dumped on the two, and the surprised shouting that came with it, there was no doubt in her mind that people inside had taken notice of the incident, or at least the racket that was going on outside. It was a few minutes before she heard Kim’s footsteps approaching, it should not have taken her so long to get back, so when Kim rounded the corner, Trini was waiting to see Kim covered in sugar or something else. What she saw instead was a smiling Kim without a hint of sugar on her, or water.

“What took you so long?” Trini was not mad but certainly confused, it should not have taken more than a minute for Kim to return to the car, but Kim had used about five to get back. Kim was a quick person anyways, so it was especially odd for her to take longer than Trini to do something.

“Oh I went and kissed his date before I left.” Kim said opening the car door to get in, she paused though not wanting to cut off Trini by getting in.

“YOU DID WHAT NOW?” There was utter surprise and a bit of hurt written on Trini’s face.

“I’m joking I promise, I just explained to her the situation while Zack tried to get the car open, he cept dropping the keys” Kim leaned over and gave Trini a kiss on the cheek.

“You explained to her, doesn’t that take away from the prank?” Trini was leaning on the car, with one eyebrow arched. It was not part of the plan to speak to Zack’s date at all, much less explain what was going on to her.

“No not once he is covered in sticky sugar, I figured it would be better if we weren’t jack asses to her atleast.” Kim went ahead and got into the car, she motioned for Trini to go around the other side and get in. Triini should have known that Kim would not allow Zack’s date to not know what was going on, after all it was a chance to embrace him.

“Ok, that makes since babe.” Trini turned on her heel and walked to the other side of the car.

Trick or Treat! Pretend I am in a dope vampire costume

A 6 year old Penelope in a black cat costume opens the door and screams. Trini and Kim come rushing in. Kim is dressed as Morticia, and Trini as Gomez (lol). They sigh and Trini crouches down.

“Baby, it’s just a costume. Do you want to give them candy?”

“As long as they don’t bite me! I’ll scratch!” She holds up her claws. Then she lifts the bucket and dumps it all out. “Happy Halloween!”

“Penelope!” Her moms shout.

“You gave away all our candy!” Trini exclaims.

“Oh well,” Penelope shrugs, “Guess it’s my turn for trick-or-treating!”

The thing is… Kim’s parents are often gone. Kim’s dad is a pilot, an air ambulance pilot to be exact, often on call 24/7 and given random days off; her mother on the other hand is a doctor, often working overtime because of the demand, often coming home late (when Kim is asleep) and waking up early (before Kim wakes up).

The other thing is… Kim brings her one month old girlfriend home to make out and maybe touch each other in the privacy of their own home (Kim’s home). Going to Trini’s would be chaos if her family, especially her mother, were to find out about them. Trini just knows that coming out to her parents would be hell on earth, she knows how they think and she knows how she will be treated when she does come out.

So, here’s Kim and Trini, on their way to Kim’s home after a nice dinner date to celebrate their one month. Kim had treated Trini out to a nice Italian restaurant near the bigger city and they had been handsy all night long, that’s what happens when you sit next to each other on a booth table. Groping each other, mostly Kim, running their feet up and down each other’s legs, and kissing when available.

Kim had one hand on the wheel, the other on Trini’s knee, caressing it softly. Fingers brush in between the two knees, and Trini opens up her legs a little bit. Trini allows Kim’s hand and fingers to caress the inside of her thighs, keeping it innocent at first but slowly, dangerously caving inside. Trini is just pleased at herself for wearing her short dress for this occasion.

When they got home, Kim had poured themselves a glass of wine from her family’s collection, one that is surely not to be missed by her mother or father. Kim had turned on the surround stereo system built in inside the entire house and letting some tunes play, also setting the lights to dim to set the mood.

They start making out in the kitchen, Kim grabbing Trini by the waist and pulling her up to sit on the countertop.

“Feels good not having to lean down to kiss” Kim teased, using her hands to hike up Trini’s dress and just caress her outside thighs.

“Jackass,” Trini kissed back, a teasing smile forming on her face as she leans down to capture Kim’s lips. Legs wrapped around Kim’s slender figure to pull her even closer.

“I know you like it when I make you feel tall”

“True”

Kim pulls Trini off the countertop and brings her feet down to the floor again. “I don’t… I like being on top”

Trini blushes madly at the suggestive comment that Kim just made. She stuttered but not managing to get any words out her mouth. All the sudden, Trini knew this is happening, Kim is kissing her, they start walking away from the kitchen, still kissing and hands not wandering far from each other.

They make it to the living room and all the sudden the lights went from dim to bright. This broke their kiss and eyes towards the light switch and land on the two figures standing by the front door.

“Mom… Dad… Hey…” Kim rasped at the sight of her parents with a confused look on their faces.

Trini had hid herself behind Kim’s body, hoping the height would cover her smaller height. Even if figure wise, Trini has the curves and Kim has the lean figure. Clutching on the sides of Kim’s dress and buried her head on Kim’s back.

“Hey, Kimmy. Your mom just picked me up from the airport, we got Indian takeout. Uhhh…” Ted Hart starts, trying to find the words but just gives a soft chuckle under his breath then looks at his wife, Maddy, “We’ll be in the kitchen if you need us”

“Okay,” Kim gives a soft smile and places a hand behind her to grab Trini’s hand. Kim watches her parents whisper something to each other as they head to the kitchen.

“Oh, God. Kim that was so embarrassing. I can’t even. I should go, I shouldn’t be here” Trini whispers and mutters to herself as she lets go of Kim’s dress and starts pacing around looking for her items. “I can’t believe this is happening. Now Kim’s life is going to be hell on earth for being gay with me. Urg, stupid Trini.” Trini continues to mutter to herself, Kim only caught a couple of those words.

“Hey, stop.” Kim gets in front of her girlfriend and takes her hands, “Relax”

“No… I—I just outed you out to your parents” Trini whispered, looking towards the kitchen and seeing the door closed.

“Trin… You do know I’m already out to my parents right?” Kim runs her hands from Trini’s small hands and up her arms then resting underneath Trini’s jaw, getting Trini to focus up into Kim’s eyes.

Trini was silent for a moment then let out a “pssh” then waves a hand nervously, “Of course I knew” then completely avoiding Kim’s eyes at the lie.

“You’re so adorable” Kim rests her forehead on Trini’s forehead. “Look, I know things with your parents are… a bit toxic. Mine may not be around much but we talk a lot and communicate and understand. Whenever you need people like that, you have the boys, my parents, and especially me, okay?”

Kim presses a kiss to Trini’s head and she hears a soft “okay. Thanks” Kim smiles mid kiss then brings her lips to Trini’s.

“Now, I think it’s time you meet my parents”

“Oh, okay”

The husband and wife sit on two person couch diagonal from the couch where Trini and Kim sat. They talked and Trini was ecstatic at Kim’s parents and how they share their love, something she wishes her parents have.

“Sorry tonight is bit of a bust” Kim whispered as her parent’s attention drew away from them and onto the television.

“It’s ok. I like meeting your parents. It’s very homey meeting them” Trini whispered back, she felt Kim’s fingers intertwine with hers and then felt a soft kiss the cheek.

“Kinda funny how you just freaked out at first” Kim sends a teasing smirk.

“Well, making out in front of your parents wasn’t exactly how I wanted to meet them, you know” Trini put on her big girl face and pouts at Kim’s remark. It was embarrassing for Trini but she knows she’ll learn to be more open especially with the help of her friends and support from Kim’s parents.

“So, Kimmy,” Ted interrupted with a small cough, “you know how I freaked out when you cut your hair. This style is what they call the bisexual bob, right?” He teased.

Fandom One - Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Buffy was the first fandom I had where I actually got involved in fandom and it will always have a special place in my heart. Buffy herself was and is my favorite kickass lady of all time and I love her strengths and her flaws and her dedication to protecting the people she loves, along with the world that has often treated her horribly. 

I am a lifetime Buffy/Faith shipper, and love to see all that they could have been if they’d been allowed to be true partners instead of rivals.

I also love Buffy/Tara, and the idea that Buffy could have helped Tara find and affirm her own strength, and Tara could help Buffy find peace and safety.

Buffy and Willow had an amazing and mutually supportive friendship and it had potential for so much more.

And I’m also requesting and would love to see the dynamics with Buffy/Willow/Tara, and Buffy/Faith/Tara.

Fandom Two - Teen Wolf

Much newer fandom, but loved for much of the same reasons as Buffy: a found family of teenagers who have to save the world in between classes and family drama. Fair warning, I have not seen the most recent seasons (whichever one ended with Kira going off to the desert to learn is the last one I saw) but feel free to include later seasons in your writing/art. 

Allison/Lydia is one of my all time favorite ships. Their friendship, loyalty to each other, and genuine affection all make perfect sense as romance, and they make an excellent power/battle couple which is a favorite trope of mine.

Allison/Kira didn’t get a lot of interaction in canon, but is a relationship I think has all sorts of potential. They’re both incredibly loyal, incredibly sweet, and incredibly badass, and both have had to deal with coming to terms with their true natures/heritage and the fallout of their actions.

Lydia/Malia have some great canon moments and I’d love to see their friendship fleshed out into full romance. They have great chemistry, very opposite views/approaches to things in many ways, and surprising similarities. This is a relationship I see having the fun/healthy kind of friction.

Fandom Three - Power Rangers

I grew up loving the original Power Rangers, the worst punishment I ever got in daycare was having to take a nap when it was on. The reboot had everything I loved and more. It’s diverse, modern, and fun as hell. It also has some of the most believable behavior for a group of teenagers getting random super powers I’ve ever seen. And yes, I am 100% on the Trimberly bandwagon. 

This fandom already has most of the things you see in my likes up above, and I’ll be happy with anything you create for those two.

Fandom Four - Harlots

Very different from the above fandoms, but absolutely amazing. I was hesitant at first to get into this fandom (sex work is very rarely handled well by the media) but this show is ragingly feminist, historically accurate, absolutely gorgeous, and delightfully queer. 

Amelia Scanwell/Violet Cross is a wonderful canon pairing that resonates a lot with me personally because my mother isn’t all that different from Amelia’s in terms of religious fervor and I love how Amelia is able to move past that and accept her feelings for Violet without self-loathing. I can’t wait to see their very sweet relationship continue in season 2, and would be happy with any fic or art of these two.

Charlotte Wells/Caroline Howard are not canon but have SO much potential. Both women who’s lives were controlled and harmed by the thankfully dead George Howard. Both women who have found ways to have power and freedom in a world that denies both to women. I’d love to see them finding/exploring that power and freedom in and with each other.

Fandom Five - Harry Potter

The ultimate fandom, the one we never truly leave even when/if we’re not particularly involved. I love the fandom for Harry Potter (sometimes more than the canon itself) and especially love the women of Harry Potter and the way we continue to give them more life. Hermione Granger remains one of my all time favorite characters, strong and brilliant and loyal and utterly ruthless, I adore her. Luna Lovegood is kind and brave and also strong and brilliant and loyal and has a gentleness despite hardship that I admire so much. Ginny Weaseley is amazing, so stubborn and clever and capable, with a fierceness of spirit that’s hard to match. I am requesting every combination of those three characters, and will be thrilled no matter what if one of these relationships is chosen.

Fandom Six - Dragon Age

My one true fandom love, it consumes me, as you can see by the majority content of this blog. I have played and loved all the games, and Origins and DA2 are tied for my two favorite games of all time. 

I don’t even know how to begin to start describing what I love about each character and relationship I’ve requested, especially since so much of the characters are subjective based on player choice and experience, so feel free to browse my blog/tags to get a feel for what I like and I’m sorry I couldn’t write more here. (It would be a novel if I even tried.)

What are hc of the Hart family with rowan

[I wanna start off by saying it’s been a long time since I watched t@gged, so forgive any inaccuracies with her.]

+ Penelope and Rowan were adopted when they were young, maybe 5 or 6. They have vague memories of life before Trini and Kim, but those are their moms without a doubt.

+ Rowan is the more down-to-earth, thoughtful of the twins. She’s more solemn and quiet than Penelope most of the time, but she can be pretty wild in her own way. She makes really good grades, tries to stay out of trouble (it tends to find her anyway) and is often joked to be “the good twin”.

+ Rowan is pretty close to Trini. They’re a lot alike in many ways, and they talk about anything together. Rowan is a very introspective, observant person, and she’s always been good at seeing Trini’s different sides and knowing when to push or not. Not to say she doesn’t get along well with Kim. Kim brings out her more fun-loving, goofy side. They laugh together a lot. When Rowan is pushing herself too hard in school and stressing herself out, Kim will check her out of school for the day and take her on an adventure, and these are some of Rowan’s most favorite days.

+ Penelope and Rowan are twins, they had to be close at a young age when all they had was each other, and they truly love one another more than life itself. That being said, they fight--bicker-- a lot. Especially as kids. Fighting over toys, fighting over moms’ attention. Penelope sees that Rowan is more of the good child, and does more to counteract that, to be seen. Rowan knows this. Rowan tries to be sensitive to Penelope’s feelings, because she doesn’t want her sister to think she (Rowan) is more loved. Rowan sees from a young age that their moms love them for different reasons. The older they get, the closer they get. Especially in college and beyond. They definitely go to the same college. They may want to kill each other most of the time, but they can’t be apart.

+ Rowan loves the Rangers, all of them, she really does, but she has a special affection for Billy. For as long as she can remember, Billy has always talked to her like she’s an adult, and she loves it. He tries to explain his experiments and ideas to her, and even if she has no clue what he’s talking about, she’s fascinated. He gives her great books that she treasures, and he dates and signs each one, and she has them all lined up on her bookcase in her moms’ house. While Billy is her favorite, she loves the others, too. Zack is crazy and silly and babysits them all the time when they’re younger, and she loves playing with him and Penelope, because all they do is laugh. She loves Jason like that corny uncle to tries to tell jokes, but which fall flat, and she laughs anyway. She knows he’s trying. She loves Tommy, because she actually is funny, and she teaches the twins martial arts, and asks about their lives like she really wants to know. Rowan knows from a young age that she’s blessed with her Ranger family, and that only grows as she gets older.

+ There’s a running joke in the family (mostly from Penelope) that Rowan is gay, but Rowan denies it, says it’s only because she doesn’t like boys her own age. (Penelope just smirks whenever Nicki comes over.) 

+ Rowan adores Josie. She’s known for a long time, maybe before Penelope and Josie, that they’d end up together. She thinks Josie grounds her sister in good ways, and she loves seeing how happy her sister is around Josie.

+ Rowan suffers from nightmares, she’s always had them, and they keep her awake a lot. She usually either climbs into bed with Penelope, or, when she was younger, with her moms. The older she gets the more she thinks she can’t do that, so she tries to deal with it on her own. This usually just means she doesn’t sleep and instead reads.  

+ Rowan drinks lots of coffee. Lots of it. Even Trini can’t keep up with her.

+ She doesn’t like to admit it, but Rowan cried when she and Penelope left for college. She felt like her childhood was being barred off, like her relationship with her mothers was going to change forever, and it really got to her. Penelope held her hand and squeezed it, and didn’t say anything. She understood.

+ Rowan was 10 when she found out her moms had been Power Rangers. Tommy (of course) let something slip, and she pieced it together. They had retired by then, but the realization was still BIG for Rowan. Kim and Trini ended up sitting the girls down for “a talk” and explained it all to them, and told them they couldn’t tell anyone. Rowan got super excited and wanted to hear all about it. She was over the moon when she found out that Trini was the yellow ranger, because the yellow one had always been her favorite. 

+ Trini and Kim already had a cat when they adopted the girls, but Rowan begged for a dog. Begged and begged. Penelope was happy with the cat, and the cat had taken to Penelope the most, but Rowan wanted a pet of her own. When she was 12, her moms took her on a special errand which ended up being to the local shelter where she got to pick out her very own pet. She picked a scruffy mutt named Panda, for his black and white coloring, and they took him home. He was an old dog and only lived another five years, but she loved that dog more than anything. The dog loved terrorizing the cat. Which made Penelope mad. Which led to fights...

+ Sometimes Rowan doesn’t feel like she fits in the family. She sees how Penelope is a lot like Kim, but also like Trini, and Rowan feels like she’s the odd one out. Her family and the Rangers go out of their way to assure her and show her that she’s one of them, that she’s a part of them, and that their family wouldn’t be nearly complete without them.

Mmm. But Rowan and Pen wanted to be Rangers? To keep tradition in the family?

Of course. Well, I think Rowan would want to be more than Penelope. She’s not a fan of secret identities or getting alien goo on herself. But Trini is adamantly against either of them becoming Rangers, because she knows how dangerous it is, and how much of a toll it takes on your life. She doesn’t want that for her girls. She wants them to have a normal life as normal teenagers. Kim on the other hand thinks it would be cool to pass the torch on, so to speak. She loves what being a Ranger did for her and her life, and she thinks it could only be good for the girls. Trini sees that side of it and agrees, but she’s stubborn. In the end, it would come down to the girls finding their coins, if that ever happened. It’s not really up to them. If destiny decides they’re meant to be Rangers, then it’ll happen, and Trini will just grudgingly deal with it.
