"No," Qrow groaned, knees buckling just a little as he bent over to hide his face in Robyn's shoulder. She should know by now that Robyn inspired his mouth to just run away with him. The worst part of it, however, was that it was always his true feelings.

"I mean, yes," he said once his flaming complexion had settled down. Baring his soul was a lot, but it was easier to do when he was addressing her scarf, and his voice was muffled by her shoulder. "I just didn't mean to blurt it out like that. But... you are different from any other person that I've... actually dated. You see me."

It hadn't gotten any clearer what he meant by that statement, but it was a truth he felt deep in his bones. Robyn didn't dismiss his pain, she didn't try to sugarcoat things, but she also never assigned blame where it didn't belong. Her affirming presence had been something Qrow hadn't realized was missing.

"I sort of wanted to be a little more poetic the first time I said I love you to you, but..." Qrow finally looked at her, cheeks still flushed and a sheepish smile across his face. "At least this was slightly better timed than our elevator conversation?"

"So, Robyn...I've got a question that's been eating at me for a bit, and I want to hear your thoughts on this. It's nothing bad, it's just a weird inconsistency I've noticed and I don't really know what to make of it."

"Yeah, sure, throwing chairs around in the Schnee manor is the sort of thing a rational, professional individual does. And while we're on the subject of blatant lies, have I mentioned being heterosexual?" she teases, putting her scroll aside for a moment.

Of course she's not sure if she'd actually knock Robyn over the head over Winter or not. That's the problem with crushing on two people who are probably about to fight: no matter who wins, she's going to lose...even if it is hot to watch.

"Yeah, yeah, I'll keep the peace. Pretty sure I've got some of those shock-net bolts we made for taking out Paladins around here somewhere. That should keep you busy for, what...three seconds? Four?"

"I am perfectly professional!" She says, leaning back in her chair with her arms raised over her head, legs kicked up on a chair in front of her own with ankles crossed.

"But I will trust you to knock me over the head before I do something that would make her do it."

Actually now that she does remember that dinner, she remembers Winter slamming the table too. Hmm. Maybe there would be fight and fire in the same small radius. Should be interesting.

New mun, oc, thier thread

I love the writing of maidensfall Cinder. We haven’t interacted much I followed when they were writing a few of the people i follow. I didn’t want to miss a post!

Fun? Winter cannot quite keep herself from breathing out a laugh, not as full as the sound may have been from others, a bit of a foreign sound from the stoic woman. A glance over her shoulder reveals the blonde, holding herself with that ever-casual air that has made her so popular among the people of Mantle. There was something about her that was so easy to like, something that the Schnee daughter envied. She made it seem so simple.

Strangely enough, she believes Robyn when she speaks.

"I wouldn't bother yourself with things like that," is what she answers with, coming easier than any of the rest. Simpler to shut things down than to try and understand why Robyn would care at all for how she felt. "Besides, if there is a Schnee you should be minding tonight, I would not be the focus."

Layers of her uniform are shed quickly, folded and placed aside in a precise routine that cannot be broken, soon to be replaced with something more fitting for the event that she and Robyn will be attending that evening.

Robyn needed an in to meet with more of the Atlas elite, and Winter had an open invitation to all of the SDC events. It was honestly a bit silly, that neither had thought of this sooner. Robyn would get the pleasure of meeting all of those high-class snobs, and Winter would anger her father in a place where he needed to stay on his best behavior. A no-lose scenario, honestly.

"I don't find these sorts of things fun. Perhaps when I was younger." Winter steps out from behind the door separating her and her date, smoothing a hand over the front of the black dress -- one that unfortunately highlights just how pale she truly is, but hugs her curves in a flattering enough manner. Removing the hair tie and quickly running her fingers through her hair as it falls around her shoulders, she hums: "...but you're welcome to try."

The Ace Ops are friends. Always have been. They openly deny it because I think all of them besides Marrow are still hurting over the lost of Tortuga and maybe if they were coworkers instead and have less feelings in the way, they can work more harmoniously and reduce the risk of failure, of losing another friend. But we the audience know that’s horseshit, we seen in it V7/8 so I think between the five of them, they all know, deeply inside, they’re friends.

My personal headcanon is that May was the last member to join the Happy Huntresses, and that there was a lot of friction between these two at first. May brought a lot of baggage from the ASTP, and there were probably some days Robyn second-guessed whether or not inviting May was worth the hassle. Still, they toughed it out and actually work together pretty well — the odd hiccup aside, usually as a result of them both being hot-blooded anime protagonists.

"Oh man, where do I even start. I guess there was that time that I got a little too liberal with the dust, and the next thing you know there were pieces of that damn robot all over Mantle. Yes, it was causing problems. No, that didn't help anyone believe that we were there to protect Mantle and not blow it up."

How does your muse communicate to others they they’re in the mood? What are the requirements for your muse to sleep with someone? What was your muse’s first sexual experience?

1) The flirting turns up, there's an extra wink here or there, he'd basically be turning the charm higher than usual (not to 11 but definitely higher than his usual setting) He's old enough that his libido doesn't really ambush him anymore but it still have peaks.

2) They have to be in their twenties at earliest. I don't see Qrow pulling his moves on Blake or Weiss, but if not for Raven leaving the way she did he'd definitely have gone somewhere with that Waitress.

3) Qrow's first sexual experience is split between three possibilities for me, but he definitely didn't graduate a virgin:

A) Someone at a bar. His alcoholism was definitely born early into his life from his crippling isolationism, and whether it was someone his age or a Cougar, someone would have noticed him at a bar and made a few moves.

B) A fellow huntsman at Beacon before the end of the first year. Too early on for people to be guessing at his Semblance but early enough that his metaphorical bandit musk could still attract a few impressionable noses.

C) Late Academy years, Second Vytal Festival. One of his Huntress opponents gets a few good looks while the two of them are sparring in their 4v4 match (or maybe they end up deadlocked in a 2v2 until Raven has to tiebreak them) and she either likes what she sees, or she's very competitive and demands a rematch. One thing leads to another and they're testing Reach verses Flexibility.

"Officially? No. There are a couple of people who really should be higher on the list than they are. Still, given that I've been doing a lot of bookkeeping while recovering from a fever so high that I was hallucinating, it wouldn't surprise me if a couple clerical errors end up needing fixed."

May takes a second to scribble down a couple of names on a sheet of paper, then hands it to Robyn. "On a completely unrelated note, could you check up on these people for me?"

She hopes that Robyn gets the unspoken message here.

"I'll try my best not to keel over again, but no promises are made. Eventually I'm going to run out of things to do and the everything is going to hit."

No, Robyn's not going to do anything about it. Because trying to tell May Marigold what to do was like trying to direct an arrow she'd already let fly. ...And because the Huntresses are just as squeezed on resources and good people as the rest of the city, as she says. All she can do is pop that motherly hip out in response to rolled eyes.

"Done. I can swap out with Jo in the crater. I'm due to show my face and spread some good cheer there, anyway. Check in with the local intel, too."

She pats May on the shoulder, "Call me before you try and take anyone else out, okay? Or if you find yourself face-down in paperwork. Oh... any of those vaccines meant for out that way, too? I can take a few with me. Discreetly."
