There’s something hauntingly beautiful about Mileena’s story so far: and I know it’s gonna break my heart when the time comes to see her scenes.

So I wanted to display both versions of Mileena: the future queen, and the ‘monster’, all the while showcasing as much emotion as I could.

I decided to re-draw the VERY FIRST digital art I did, which was in September of 2001. (second drawing ). Back then I would draw and ink on paper, scan it, and color it with a mouse and I honestly have no clue how I had this much patience because I didn't know about layers then and worked on only one layer??? ( not sure how I got the background in there either lol)

First painting is the new piece with the updated character ( Angel/Angela in 2024). As you can see, a LOT has changed. She was a character I created for an American McGee's Alice roleplay on a forum. I think I wanted her to have a connection to the Cheshire Cat, hence the cat ears and tail. ( Listen I was 19, I loved cats too much (still do tbh lol) don't @ me lol). This is DEFINITELY not the case with the recent piece as she has little to do with Wonderland anymore, but I didn't really wanna take all of it away. She also changed nationality over time much, much later so I fixed her skin color to reflect that, as well as the jewelry and attire which uh.... yah, back then I was EXTREMELY influenced by 90's american comics ( l also knew nothing of anatomy which explains why she has no organs in the old piece >> ). I think it shows how much I have changed with time, both artistically and mentally.

However, I won't lie, I am not happy with the result... I started this piece at the beginning of June, then got extremely ill and had to work on this on and off during the month... which also means none of my interactions with the piece were the same and it shows. I feel like there's too much going on and the wing stumps are lost in there. Maybe a decade or two from now I'll repaint this again with a different perspective and better health.

However I am better now and I can paint more properly.

So apologies with this regurgitated piece lo!!

The demoness looked Sub-Zero with serenity but also soft recognition. This Sareena was not the one he knew about; a blood thirsty demon beneath Quan Chi's heal

-no - this one was very aware, and emitted a calming aura, yet Bi-Han felt on the verge of panic. Panic because despite all, he recognized those eyes. He recognized who she was... but no memory formed beyond warped imagination. Fingers dug into her shoulders - she said: "You helped me break my chains. Now I will return the favor."

Still struggling with a creativity block, but at least I'm doing something about it and still putting some things out there lol Soooo MKX Sareena and MK1 Bi-Han reunion when? owo

Imagine my surprise when I saw Sareena in the new trailer, looking BADASS in both her forms!

This was fun because I kinda let loose with my painting without worrying too much with making it perfect. The result was worth it I think. Seeing as I’ve been suffering from an art block, this gives me hope lol

Because I like feels - and creepy things - and pain, I guess. :D

Now I haven't seen any spoilers, and don't plan to (please don't post spoilers in the comments, I BEG you) until the game's release. I doubt this scene will take place at all but imagine if it DID. Human!Raiden seems so happy and proud... whereas he used to constantly fight his darkness before Liu Kang rebooted the timeline. We know some of the characters remember the events of past timeline(s). And if MK1 Raiden gets a glimpse of his past timelines at some point, how would he react to how he gave into the darkness? Or wearing Shinnok's amulet? Would he be horrified by the things he did? I thought it would be a very interesting concept to explore. >)

Do you have any idea how long I have longed to see Kitana and Mileena as a family? 😭 I like to think they had a wonderful, peaceful childhood, and that their bond lasted into aduldhood. Basically, I wanted to draw something cute and sweet about their childhood!

"Do not listen to them", Kitana hurried as she attempted to calm her sister, to hide her disease from the world by concealing Mileena's growing mouth; splitting cheeks - and her newfound aggressive nature worsening each day.

She should have worn her mask, her veil, but Mileena was always proud and stubborn: "I don't need to hide! I am the heir of the throne!"”

So… I worked hard on this. Took me about 5 days, on and off, because two interacting characters together is haaaard. This is the longest I’ve spent on a piece in months lol But I like the little story this has, where Kitana is still trying to protect Mileena. I guess someone may know what she’s becoming and called her a monster as a result. I don’t think it’ll happen like that in the game but…. Eh! Anyway, hope you like that and my mini fanfic :P lol

Hello lovelies!

As I’ve been saying, I’m concentrating a lot more on my own work lately. This character was created 24 years ago ( yes time flies omg ) and she’s gone through a lot of revisions and changes. I think I’m happiest with her now. :D I’ve been working with lights more as of late, as well as colors. Honestly, I’m just vibing and having fun :D

I tried to work really fast on that one compared to the others and I'm rather happily surprised with the result. Also I realized when I was done what that expression reminded me of and... well, see below. :)

This is also part of the story I am revamping. Can you see the kind of personality this little rascal possesses? heheeh
