SO, this question has a few layers to it

Finchy boy is from @cosmosim‘s On Thin Ice story from a while back, and he had a toooooooon of shit going on. So to sum it up, yes, he is confused, and for many many reasons, BUT if she wasn’t so persistent he would have definitely kept going.

He’s naturally very close and protective over Haven so...it’s natural, yk? Boy doesn’t know what he wants, but we do get a bit more of Finchy in the next scene ^-^

Okay I think I've decided in a little upset with Levi. I don't hate him or anything like that I never could but I'm upset with him. During their whole relationship as teenagers Pen wanted to be public with him, she wanted to have the true dating experience with him and share so much with him as a couple and he kept making them hold back. I get his reasoning for this and I think he was right but that's hard. Pen's one thing she always knew was once college hit she could have that experience..

With him. The one she wanted so bad, and then they break up. Now all in all it allowed them to be free and experience things but at the same time it was sort of, almost selfish realizing now that Levi did it because he wanted to experience things. It wasn't about her too but about what he needed. That doesn't mean it wasn't hard but I can see why Pen is thinking what she's thinking. Especially now that he decides to proclaim his feelings at this moment. When it hits you, it hits you but..

He should have known better if he had all this self-restraint before. So I want them to be together (in holding onto how she didn't say she loves her boyfriend just that he loves her no matter what), but they're both going to need to grow I think, and Levi is going to need to put forth the effort and stop going back and forth, doubting himself, the same thing he was doing with his minor.

Yes to all of this! Seriously, Mel, you’re incredible and hit the nail on the head! lol. 

Levi has always been a bit selfish with her. In high school of course it was arguably needed- telling anyone wasn’t a realistic option, as much as Pen wanted that. And of course when he broke up with her, he was thinking of her a bit, but he mostly made the choice because, again, he was thinking of himself. It turned out to be a good choice for both of them, as they both had experiences they wouldn’t have had otherwise. 

Ultimately, he is young still. And he’s still learning about himself, and life, etc. He has a lot of growing to do. Penelope is arguably more mature than he is, particularly with emotional things. Levi isn’t so great at dealing with that kind of stuff yet- part of the reason he blurted out his proclamation at such an awful time lol, and not in the best way (calling out Justin). 

He’s very indecisive, always weighing options, and doubting himself. He IS a libra, after all, hehe. This will be an interesting trait to watch play out.

I love writing situations that live very much in the grey area- there isn’t really a right answer. Because c’est la vie, non? :) 

But i’ve got a lot in store for both of these characters. So, it’ll be interesting to see how things change by the next time their paths cross. :) 

Thank you for sending such an indepth ask, I love these! They really give me a chance to talk about characters, bc lets be honest, I’m obsessed, lol. And I 100% agree with you- I’m a bit mad at Levi, too. lol.
