you mentioned before that brightheart's cut kits might pop back up in other clans as the result of honor sires, would windclan be a good use case for them if you're struggling with the amount of cats?
It's a good candidate Clan, but the technical issue that I ran into is that a low-population Clan has no fucking parents for them
The Queen's Rights are my favorite tool, but what I realized was that if I "Deploy The Cloudbright Kids," what I'm doing is essentially making an interesting QR case. Something I could have already done without using the Cloudbright Kids as planned, you get me?
So the MOST useful things are fresh outside cats, like Brushblaze and Snapstorm, followed closely by those who can pad out litters. For example, if you look at the WindClan family tree, you can see how often I had to do single-kit litters in order to stretch the 100 canon cats across Tallstar's Revenge's missing generation.
Rest assured though, the 4 cut cats are going to come up somewhere in ShadowClan and/or WindClan. Cloudbright's 3, Snowbush, Ambermoon, and Dewnose, plus Eaglewing who is no longer in Blossomfall's litter of 3.
#maybe ill just...... drag snipe in anyway#THATS IT!! UR GOING TO BRAZILCLAN#bone babble#Current plan is that I'll finish the shadow family tree and then re-assess#Especially skyclan which was the first tree I did and I no longer like it.

Doc, is tree happy friends anatomically correct?
since it is a cartoon following cartoon logic for a lot of its exaggerated and over the top gore, id have to say no not completely. that being said though, its also not entirely incorrect as far as cute cartoon animals go either. as in.. organs are where they should be, and shaped roughly how they should be, and work how they do in real life (albeit rendered in a cute colorful cartoon art style)
#granted i have only seen very little of happy tree friends#if you want an accurate assessment id have to watch all of it#so take that with a grain of salt if you will#the doc is in

sent my tree guy another picture of my tree in the backyard to better show off the limb semi-detached/still dangling off it and the other limb that fell into the tree and is balanced on tree + fence (and told him about the limb in the alley that the city took care of)
that way he was forewarned for whenever he gets to me that this poor tree took quite a beating - I didn't think the first pic really conveyed that well enough
got back a message that he'd try to drop by to assess things today or tomorrow so I suspect that he too is concerned about that limb still dangling off the tree... it's a rather large limb
#not the first time it's dropped large limbs but at least it didn't hit power lines this time#my dad thinks it's time for the tree to go#but we'll see what my tree guy thinks once he's assessed things himself#i like the tree so I'd like to keep it#but if it's too damaged to save I'll accept that

We had freezing rain overnight and all the local schools and the community college have delayed starts this morning, but our campus is open as usual because "there is no ice on campus or on roads in the vicinity." 🙄
#I just don't think that assessment is entirely accurate#just like from looking at the solid coating of ice on the car the bench the fence the trees the side of the house etc.#and given that I live less than 2 miles from campus

Realizing that as a Pennsylvanian, trees play the same role in my life as a stereotypical straight husband.
I love them so much, they mean so much to me, I want to be around them and live with them always, they are a hindrance at every turn, they require too much maintenance, they are disconcertingly likely to kill me or trash my stuff, they are doing unhelpful electrical rewiring,
#every year the prospect of climbing them seems less exciting and more exhausting#domestic abuse#rose posted this#I was thinking about my feelings toward extreme weather events#and then I realized that I unconsciously assess them all through the lense of how likely they are to throw a tree at me#somehow that realization turned into this post

Another good thing to check for talkers is when they last had a visitor and if there is anyone on their file you can call to say "Hey, [patient name] is getting a little bored and lonely and unfortunately I can only spend a few minutes with them each shift. Next time you visit, could you bring them a book/hobby item to help them pass the time?"
Because while Grandma or whoever has been in hospital for months, life continues for everyone outside and sometimes that phone call is a necessary reminder to their connections that that person isn't just powered down like a robot for maintenance.
One of the stranger things about training brand new nurses is explaining how to min max small talk. It feels very weird to coach people on how to chat.
#also as someone who iiiis a bit of a talker myself#there are definitely people who are talkers who also don't want to be wasting your time with unrelated problems#but once im started talking I often have difficulty stopping#especially for care/disease details when I don't know what you need to know#specifying what details you need and when in your assessment tree you dismiss something really helps me know what to share#like “You pooped today after being constipated. I need to know about consistency and colour especially if there were ANY tarry black bits”#or “You've mentioned difficulty with stability. What contributes to this other than the dizziness from your POTS?”#I don't want to retread ground or leave anything important out so telling me what to ignore/not ignore really helps get to the point faster#I want to usefully answer your question and sometimes open ended questions leave too much room for open ended answers#and I don't know what noises and pains and symptoms are relevant if no one tells me

there's one week left of the two-week pool closure. I have one five-hour shift on Wednesday, I have to take my roommate to work today and tomorrow. I'd say I gotta make the most of it, but saying that tends to send my ADHD into a tailspin, so I'm gonna do jack shit. I'm gonna lie around and play video games and maybe get drunk a couple times. I'm gonna watch so much TV it makes me sick and jerk off whenever I want. I'm doing a great job keeping my life together and I deserve to chill
#there are two things i should probably do#one: help my roomie set up the christmas tree#its a little early but i will NOT want to do it later#two: make an appointment with my pcp for an ADHD assessment#god willing she'll help me out with it#other than that. im giving up!#barking

Importance of Tree Health Assessment Jackson TN: Keeping Your Trees Strong and Healthy
The trees around your compound need to be kept in check to avoid becoming a nuisance, unattractive and even proving hazardous to human life. Trees provide shade, improve the aesthetic value of a property, and improve the health of the environment but they need maintenance to remain healthy. Another important aspect of tree care is a health check where you get to determine the health state of your trees. In this blog, you will learn more about tree health assessment, signs of tree problems, and how tree services like tree removal, local tree trimming, and tree care can help your trees remain healthy.
Why Tree Health Assessments are Important
A tree health assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of the health status of a tree including the root system and crown. This assessment can reveal some signs of disease, structural defects, pests or some other factors that may make this tree to be a danger to property and individuals. Regular assessments offer many benefits, including:
1. Preventing Tree Hazards
Maintenance value also arises where over some time trees can produce structural defects through stress factors, disease or pests. During an assessment, tree care professionals are able to identify problems such as decaying branches, root damage or weak limbs. If these issues are detected when they are still small, trees do not turn into hazards, meaning that one cannot expect to wake up one morning and find that branches or the entire tree have fallen.
2. Promoting Tree Longevity
Tree health checks are possible throughout the year, and this means that diseases or pest infestations can be identified early enough before affecting your trees. All of these can help prevent or minimize the damage that your trees might suffer, which in turn, will help you keep the look of your landscape for years.
3. Enhancing Property Value
Live trees contribute to the value of the property. An overgrown tree, or one suffering from disease, can also detract from the attractiveness of the property, and can actually be hazardous. Pruning and other forms of tree care helps to keep your trees looking good and increase their value to your property.
Common Tree Health Problems and Signs
There are numerous diseases, pest attacks, and environmental conditions that create health problems in trees and shrubs, as well as poor pruning and maintenance practices. Here are some common signs that indicate your tree may need attention:
Dead or decaying branches: Diseased branches may be indicative of other problems ailing the tree. They can also become risky and can fall and cause harm to property or individuals below them.
Discolored or wilting leaves: It is common to have leaves that are spotted, curled or fallen off early and may be a sign of a disease or nutrient deficiency.
Visible fungi: Any type of fungi on the tree’s outer bark or in the trunk’s root could be an indication that the tree is rotten inside.
Pests: Signs of pests like burrow holes or insect nests may compromise the health of trees and worsen after some time.
Cracks or splits: Large fissures on the barks may also be an indication of structural vulnerability and high possibility of tree failure.
If you see any of these symptoms, you should arrange for a tree health check to find out what needs to be done to save the tree or whether it needs to be removed.
Professional Tree Services to Maintain Tree Health
Although the assessments are vital for trees, professional services are vital for tree health issues. Here are some of the services provided by Jackson Tree Service to maintain and enhance your tree's health:
1. Tree Removal
There are times that a tree is already considered hazardous to remove because of diseases, termite infestations, or physical damage. In such circumstances, tree removal is required to get rid of dangers and protect your property. To remove a dead or damaged tree is very important to avoid the danger that it may cause to your home, family or neighboring trees. It also provides room for growing new healthy trees to be planted.
2. Local Tree Trimming Services
Some of the most important practices in tree maintenance involve trimming and pruning the trees in standard frequencies. Jackson Tree Service tree trimming can help residents prune their trees for new growth, for removal of hazardous branches and branches infected by diseases. Trimming also plays an important role in the forming of the tree, so it will develop correctly and look good.
3. Tree Care
Jackson tree services consist of fertilization, pest control, and disease treatment of your trees in order to enhance their health. These services are meant to enhance the health and lifespan of your tree. At Jackson Tree Service, we offer vital support in tree management; for maintenance purposes or in cases of tree health perils, our team can guide you to healthy trees.
When to Schedule a Tree Health Assessment
A tree health check is advised on an annual basis so that trees continue to stay healthy. However, you may need an assessment sooner if:
You find symptoms of sickness or rot.
The tree is showing signs that it has been struck by a storm.
Some of the issues are related to the tree’s shape or stability.
You are going to carry out extensive construction or landscaping around the tree’s root area.

How would you assess the rainfall here? I say: def more than a medium drizzle, but maybe not quite “heavy”. Or maybe it's actually medium after all? I'll think it over and update later if I have time
