youtube
Causes of Unexplained Infertility:
While the exact cause of unexplained infertility remains elusive, several factors may contribute to its occurrence. These factors include:
Subtle hormonal imbalances: Hormonal fluctuations, even within the normal range, can affect ovulation and sperm production, making conception difficult.
Egg quality issues: Despite regular ovulation, some women may have eggs with compromised quality, reducing the chances of successful fertilization.
Sperm abnormalities: Even if semen analysis results fall within normal parameters, subtle sperm abnormalities may hinder fertilization.
Uterine abnormalities: Structural issues within the uterus, such as polyps or fibroids, can interfere with implantation.
Fallopian tube abnormalities: Even without obvious blockages, subtle abnormalities in the fallopian tubes may impair the journey of sperm and egg, hindering fertilization.
Symptoms of Unexplained Infertility:
The primary symptom of unexplained infertility is the inability to conceive after a year of regular, unprotected intercourse. However, since there are no overt signs or symptoms, couples may not realize they have fertility issues until they actively try to conceive.
Treatment Options:
Navigating unexplained infertility often involves a combination of lifestyle modifications, assisted reproductive technologies (ART), and psychological support. Treatment options may include:
Lifestyle modifications: Adopting a healthy lifestyle by maintaining a balanced diet, regular exercise, and managing stress can optimize fertility.
Ovulation induction: Medications like Clomiphene or Letrozole may be prescribed to stimulate ovulation in women.
Intrauterine insemination (IUI): IUI involves placing washed sperm directly into the uterus during ovulation to enhance the chances of fertilization.
In vitro fertilization (IVF): IVF is a more advanced ART technique where eggs and sperm are combined in a laboratory setting, and resulting embryos are transferred into the uterus.
Psychological support: Coping with infertility can take a toll on emotional well-being. Counseling and support groups can provide much-needed emotional support throughout the journey.

3:40am 5/24/23
I NEED TO
Eventually talk about it with him.
But first I need to hash it all out with myself first. Things are hard with jj right now, this 8 yr old attitude, so many days I think ‘if I never saw another kid again, it’d be too soon.’ But I need to work out within myself if that’s truly how I feel or not.
I feel sadness and longing and desire and more longing…for a baby, duh. And I make notes to journal ab it, and I later read the note and say to myself “I was just in my feelings, i don’t want a baby or another kid rn, I don’t need to analyze this”
But okay even if that is so, these are my feelings that I am in, yes? Okay so…I need to be deep and real and true w myself. This entire icky topic that I don’t want to name needs to be fully explored. I’m honestly afraid of doing that though because I am afraid of developing the intense-overwhelming feelings I had in 2020-21 about this.. that was so scary. Because it felt like something that would be a bottomless pit of sorrow. It took me by the throat. I thought about kms even…..like when I first found out, the impulse was heavy. Z never brings it up. I’m partly afraid he would be like “you are having such a hard time raising JJ, why are you even considering ALL THAT to have another kid that you will struggle with?” And to be honest. I don’t know. I guess that’s the other thing. I’m afraid of getting myself all invested during the process of analyzing my mind, only to come to the conclusion in the end that I won’t be a good mom a second time and then I’m have to come back around to ‘giving up’. Yay. Hooray. I don’t want to go through all of that. Do you? I’m afraid he’s afraid to talk to me about it because of how emotional I tend to get. I’m afraid he doesn’t talk about it because he doesn’t want to do it. You know I haven’t asked him and have been justifying it by telling myself that the dream I had was his true feelings. (The dream was him facing me with a table between us and he pounds one side of a fist down on the table like BANG and he’s almost yelling, maybe he is. And he says “YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT IT. I SAID WHEN WE FIRST GOT TOGETHER THAT I DIDNT WANT KIDS.” And it was so LOUD, like the memory of the dream was. It was so vivid. So I told myself that was a ‘vision’ and that’s my answer and if I go bugging him irl, that’s ultimately what the true answer is for him. I’m just so scared. I’ve been having a bpd breakdown like no other tho lately so we should def not talk ab it rn.
5/24/23
I went to sleep for a couple hours and then took julian to school, came back to bed and finally opened Reddit and read more from the IVF boards.
I feel like that’s so out of reach for me. Mostly because of how stressful everything is anyway. But Jesus FUCK 😡😡😡
Yeah I’m wanting to back and read about IVF but I’m also scared of the sadness. I suppose I better get back on my meds. This is not good rn.
~
I’m reading Reddit before work lol. I put a klonopin in my mouth bc I am just that same live wire that I was the past few days. Gosh. I want to take my Effexor but not at work. Maybe when I get off work. Yeah.
Anyway I’m on r/endometriosis and I’m like….I’m gonna cry dude I just need to know what is wrong with me. What is wrong with my body? I just need to know why. Why did this happen to me when I finally had a chance of having a baby with a good partner who loves me and my 8 yr old. And I don’t know what exactly I did, but I feel like it’s my fault somehow and I just need to know which causation I need to be blaming lol. Which version of me is responsible for my infertility and how? Is that a good reason to find out? Just to know? When I’m already hating on myself.. I don’t know. But I do like have a drive to know what exactly is causing this so that I can look at possible treatments and probable solutions. Or not. It could help me make a final decision the other way, too. I mean, it could. You never know what you’re gonna hear next. Especially in dark hallways like this. When you’re already in uncharted (…..lol) territory and feel like your are grabbing around for a life vest while you are also freaking blind. Like…come the fuck on 🤣 “be so fr rn” hah
I’m bout to fuckin cry..

so i'm not going to respond to any individual asks - this is the blanket response to all the asks i've gotten in the past few weeks asking me when i'm going to update my WIPs, if i've abandoned them, etc. i appreciate the love, i do. i miss dust to dust, and something good and right and real, and i wanna be your boyfriend, too.
i might regret being this honest later, but fuck it, it's my blog and not enough people talk about this shit.
i'm struggling with infertility. emphasis on the struggle. i'm weepy from fertility meds, in the midst of my first treatment cycle, half hope and half fear. we're "unexplained infertility," so there's no reason why it shouldn't work, except it hasn't so far, so hope feels like a dangerous thing.
for anyone who hasn't experienced this, it's a complete and total mindfuck. i don't feel like the same person i was a year ago, before all those negative pregnancy tests. i thought i'd have a baby by now, or at least be pregnant. instead, i have a shitty not even diagnosis, and Options that are both a blessing but also invasive, and expensive, and in no way a guarantee. every month i calculate when the due date would be; think about the events we have planned for next year in terms of where i could be in a pregnancy; and every month, my period arrives right on schedule, if not a day early. i have yet to see a positive pregnancy test. it's "only" been a year, and i'm "so young," but it feels like it's been ages and like i'm running out of time.
we've been forced to have conversations about money, about how far we want to go with treatment, about when we might call it. "it's too early to think about that," you might say, but one cycle of ivf could cost $16k. we have good insurance, but are we willing to undergo more than one egg retrieval? how many failed transfers before we decide the emotional toll is too high? it's better to have those conversations now, before we have to, when we can maybe make clearer decisions. would we consider donor eggs or sperm? surrogacy? what about adoption?
meanwhile, i'm watching friends and acquaintances get pregnant with no problem, as i try not to completely isolate myself and try to track ovulation, as though timing might be the problem.
(it's not.)
i'm not the person i was before all of this, and it sucks. i'm a sadder, smaller person, i think. i'm trying my best. i'm "practicing hope" or some shit, i'm doing my best to keep my head up and stop isolating, stop avoiding my pregnant best friend, stop wallowing in the grief. because it is grief. if i get pregnant, it will be because of fertility meds and doctors, it will happen in a sterile exam room, hopefully with my husband holding my hand, if he can get the time off work. there will be no spontaneous pregnancy, no surprise. there's grief in that, in letting go of what i thought this might be like, how i thought it might go.
so yes, writing fic has fallen by the wayside. not because i want it to. i just have a hard time finding the energy to do even fun things. i miss the person who could write a lot in short spans of time, who had the energy for fic. i'd like to believe i can still be that person again. i don't consider any of those fics abandoned. i've written, i've worked on things.
but, right now, it feels like my entire life, my entire being, is consumed with this struggle to get pregnant. like my life is measured by where i am in my cycle. i look at my calendar and think, that's when i'll get my period or a positive test, so i should be mindful in what i plan. i might be very happy, or i might have a very bad day.
sometimes, the bad days feel eternal.
but i'm doing what i can. i'm trying, anyway. my therapist said i should practice hope, and i'm trying to. i'm trying to let myself believe things might work out. even though the fucking meds have made me weepy as hell, i'm trying to stay positive, and envision that this cycle could work. that on christmas day, instead of my period, i'll get a positive pregnancy test.
(because going home for christmas isn't loaded enough.)
there's an old wives tale that if you wrap a baby blanket and put it under the tree, you'll have a baby by next christmas. i'm jewish, but we're an interfaith household, so we bought a baby blanket, and we're going to wrap it in hanukkah paper, and put it under the tree. we have a hope basket in the nursery - because when we moved into this house we set aside a bedroom to be the nursery, and it's empty except for that little basket of baby things we've collected over the months, in the hopes that one day we'll have a baby to dress in the little onesies or socks. we have a running list of names. this is our version of practicing hope.
this is only our first treatment cycle. things could work. or maybe the next cycle. and then, there's always ivf. some days, i feel like it'll work for us, and we will have a baby, one way or another. other days, i wonder if i shouldn't just spare myself the pain and call it now. it's exhausting, infertility.
so, to everyone who misses my writing, and wonders when i'll update again - i don't know. i miss my writing, too. i miss being the person who wasn't so consumed by fertility shit, who could indulge in hobbies. i'd like to believe i can get back to that. but not this week.
the holidays are joyous but they're also really fucking hard, so let me be your friendly reminder not to ask people when they're having kids, or why they aren't pregnant yet, and to not tell people struggling with infertility to "just adopt" or "just relax."
happy holidays.

In-Vitro-Fertilization : IVF Treatment
Starting the journey towards parenthood can be a challenging road for couples facing infertility issues. In vitro fertilization (IVF) has emerged as a beacon of hope, providing a pathway for those struggling to conceive naturally.
Understanding IVF or in vitro fertilization is a complex medical procedure that involves fertilizing an egg with sperm outside the body. This process offers a solution to a range of fertility issues, including blocked fallopian tubes, male infertility, or unexplained fertility problems. IVF has witnessed significant advancements since its inception, becoming a widely accepted assisted reproductive technology.
The IVF process typically begins with ovarian stimulation, where fertility medications are administered to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs. These eggs are then retrieved through a minor surgical procedure. In the laboratory, the eggs are fertilized with sperm and the resulting embryos are monitored for a few days. The healthiest embryos are selected and transferred into the woman's uterus to establish a pregnancy.
Success rates for IVF can vary and are influenced by factors such as age, the cause of infertility, and the quality of the eggs and sperm. It's essential for couples considering IVF to have realistic expectations and to work closely with their fertility specialists to understand the potential outcomes.
One of the critical aspects of IVF treatment is the emotional and psychological toll it can take on individuals and couples. The journey is often filled with hope, anxiety, and a rollercoaster of emotions. Recognizing the emotional aspects, many fertility clinics offer counseling and support services to help individuals navigate the challenges of IVF.
The cost of IVF treatment is another consideration for many couples. IVF can be a significant financial investment, and costs may include medications, procedures, and laboratory fees. It's crucial for couples to discuss the financial aspects with their healthcare providers and, in some cases, explore available insurance coverage for fertility treatments.

In recent years, advancements in technology and medical research have paved the way for additional options within the realm of IVF. Techniques such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), and egg freezing have expanded the possibilities for couples undergoing IVF, offering more personalized and targeted approaches to fertility treatment.
While IVF has provided a successful path to parenthood for many, it's important to note that it may not be the right solution for everyone. Fertility specialists work closely with couples to assess individual circumstances, explore alternative treatments, and provide guidance on the most suitable course of action.
In conclusion, IVF treatment stands as a remarkable advancement in reproductive medicine, offering hope to couples facing infertility challenges. The intricate process, coupled with emotional considerations and financial aspects, requires a comprehensive approach. As technology continues to evolve, the landscape of IVF treatment expands, providing more options and opportunities for those on the journey to building a family.

“Infertility is a loss. It’s the loss of a dream. It’s the loss of an assumed future. And, like every loss, it will be grieved.”
Carlos and Cataleya had tried for years to conceive a child. A year into their marriage, Carlos was looking for his wife to give him a son. It was everything he wanted. Month after month, the disappointment only grew within him. He continually blamed her for failing him. What good was a woman if she could not bear children? He blamed her, belittled her, and took out all his frustration and rage out on her.
She was taken to the specialists, the best in the country. The results were all the same. There’s nothing wrong. It’s unexplained. The best course of action was IVF. After several failed rounds, Carlos gave up on her. Cataleya was exhausted. The many months of hormone treatment left her feeling utterly hollow. She did not feel like herself at all, just a mere shell of who she was.
When Carlos died, the pain didn’t stop. She hoped that one day she would be able to move on but it would need to be with someone who was okay with not having biological children. The idea of a family felt like such a foreign concept to Cataleya though it was one of her heart’s deepest desires.
Adriel knew all of this. In the many years of getting to know one another, they discussed everything from A to Z, even the most painful of topics which is why Cataleya felt completely blindsided when Adriel spoke of his dream to her.
A dream of her pregnant. When the words were spoken, Cataleya felt the stab of pain shear across her chest. Without realizing, she wrapped her own arms around her stomach. “Adriel, you know that can’t happen,” she told him. Why would he say this to her? Did he not understand how much pain it would cause her?
She didn’t understand. Where was this coming from? Was he not happy? They had just escaped his life’s sentence. Was that not enough? Adriel was going on about how they could build a family a different way. His voice was fading, the sound of her heart pounding muffled what he was saying.
“I need air,” she told him as the panic ballooned in her chest. She left the room and made way to the bathroom. Her fingers fumbled with the lock, securing the door. Her hands gripped at the walls. The room felt as though it were spinning. She was nauseous, closing her eyes in an attempt to stop the anxiety attack.
It was useless. Anxiety flooded her like a tidal wave crashing onto the shore. She didn’t realize she was screaming until there was pounding on the door.

How do experts perform IVF treatment in Nepal that blesses couples with their children?
IVF treatment in Nepal is a simple fertility procedure that consists of six steps, and these are:
1. Stimulation: During stimulation, a specialist gives a woman fertility drugs to increase the number of mature and healthy eggs in one cycle. When performing stimulation, a fertility specialist examines a woman's ovaries using ultrasound and blood tests to check hormone levels.
2. Egg retrieval: In this step of IVF in Nepal, the specialist gives the woman medication to help ease her discomfort. The specialist performs local anaesthesia, and the ovarian follicles are aspirated with a needle guided by transvaginal ultrasonography. An experienced embryologist scans a woman's follicular fluids to find available eggs in her ovaries. Then these eggs are placed in a unique medium and cultured in an incubator until insemination.
3. Fertilization and Insemination: It is the step of IVF in Nepal, where the male member's sperm is placed together with the female's eggs. The joining of sperm and egg is known as insemination, and fertilization occurs after 16 to 18 hours of insemination.
4. Embryo Cultivation: It is a step of IVF Nepal where the specialist regularly checks that the embryo's growth is done correctly. Within five days, a normal embryo has several cells that are actively dividing. The entire procedure gets performed after 3 to 4 days of fertilization. A couple can opt for PGD to help them decide which embryo to implant and reduce the chance of passing the disorder on to the child.
5. Embryo transfer: During embryo transfer, the fertilized embryo will get implanted into the woman's uterus 3 to 5 days after egg retrieval and fertilization. The specialist will insert a thin tube that contains the embryo into the woman's vagina, through the cervix and up into the uterus. If the embryo gets adequately placed in the lining of the woman's womb, it grows and a pregnancy results.
6. Pregnancy test: After two weeks of embryo transfer, the couple must take a pregnancy test performed by a specialist using ultrasound. They scan the woman's ovaries to hear the baby's heartbeat, and once they can hear, it means the pregnancy is confirmed. The patient can be discharged from the fertility clinic to the local gynaecologist.
What conditions can be treated with IVF treatment in Nepal?
Below are the conditions that can be treated with IVF treatment in Nepal. These are:
1. Blocked or Damaged Fallopian Tubes: Women dealing with blocked or damaged fallopian tubes can have a baby with IVF in Nepal.
2. Problems with ovulation: If women have problems with ovulation, then fertility experts recommend drugs like Metformin and Clomiphene during IVF treatment. Metformin is recommended for women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and Clomiphene is given to infertile women to help stimulate the ovaries. They can produce enough eggs for fertilization.
3. Unexplained Infertility: Unexplained infertility is a problem where fertility experts have been unable to find the root cause after a medical examination; in such cases, the fertility specialist gives women drugs such as Clomiphene, hormone injections and insemination.
4. Male Infertility Problems: If the male partner cannot produce enough sperm for fertilization, in such cases, experts surgically extract the sperm from the male ejaculate and fertilize it with a female egg to facilitate fertilization.
5. Decline in Ovarian Reserve: Women above 35 face problems with ovarian reserve as there is a decline in the stars. For these women, IVF in Nepal is the best option to increase the chances of conceiving at an increasing age.
How successful is IVF in Nepal?
IVF Nepal success rate is around 60-70% for women under 35, which is relatively high compared to other infertility clinics in Nepal. However, the success rate depends on the couple's age, causes of infertility, previous medical history, etc. The clinic's success rate is high because fertility experts use the latest and advanced technology to treat infertility problems and give their best to achieve a successful result in one fresh IVF cycle without any complications for the mother and child.

Understanding Unexplained Infertility
youtube
Despite advancements in medical science, about 10-15% of couples face unexplained infertility. It's diagnosed when:
Both partners undergo extensive tests to assess fertility factors such as ovulation, sperm count, fallopian tube health, and overall reproductive health.
No apparent issue or abnormality is detected that could explain the infertility.
The Complexities of Diagnosis
Unexplained infertility isn't a conclusive diagnosis; rather, it signifies the limitations of current medical knowledge in pinpointing the exact cause. Some potential factors contributing to this diagnosis could be:
Subtle hormonal imbalances: These might not show up in standard tests but could impact fertility.
Issues with egg or sperm quality: Not easily detectable through routine testing.
Subclinical conditions: Mild abnormalities that aren’t apparent in diagnostic tests.
Emotional Impact
The journey of unexplained infertility can be emotionally draining. The absence of a clear cause can leave couples feeling lost, frustrated, and helpless. It's crucial to acknowledge the emotional toll and seek support, whether through counseling, support groups, or talking to a fertility specialist.

Patient-Centered Approach: A doctor who listens, communicates effectively, and involves both partners in the treatment plan is invaluable.
Holistic Care: Some clinics offer holistic approaches, integrating lifestyle changes, nutrition, and stress management into their treatment plans.
Treatment Options
While there might not be a specific cause identified, various treatment options can help couples with unexplained infertility:
Ovulation Induction: Stimulating ovulation with medication to increase the chances of conception.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): Placing sperm directly into the uterus around the time of ovulation to enhance the chances of fertilization.
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF): A more advanced technique involving the fertilization of eggs and sperm outside the body, followed by the transfer of embryos into the uterus.
Lifestyle Changes: Diet modification, stress reduction, and exercise can sometimes improve fertility.
Conclusion

What is IVF?
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a medical procedure where an egg and sperm are combined outside the body, in a laboratory setting. The resulting embryo is then implanted into the woman’s uterus. IVF has become one of the most successful and widely used treatments for various types of infertility, including issues with sperm quality, egg production, blocked fallopian tubes, and unexplained infertility.

The IVF Process
The IVF process generally involves the following steps:
Consultation: Initial consultations involve comprehensive medical history reviews and diagnostic tests to determine the root cause of infertility.
Ovarian Stimulation: The woman undergoes hormonal treatment to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs. Monitoring through ultrasounds and blood tests helps doctors assess the response.
Egg Retrieval: Once the eggs are mature, they are retrieved from the ovaries in a minor surgical procedure.
Fertilization: In the laboratory, sperm is used to fertilize the eggs. In some cases, Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) may be used to assist fertilization, especially in cases of male infertility.
Embryo Transfer: The resulting embryos are monitored, and one or more healthy embryos are selected and implanted into the woman’s uterus. This step is done under ultrasound guidance.
Pregnancy Test: About two weeks later, a blood test is performed to confirm whether the embryo has successfully implanted and resulted in pregnancy.
Success Rates and Considerations
Success rates for IVF vary depending on a variety of factors, including the age of the woman, the cause of infertility, and the quality of the eggs and sperm. Generally, success rates are higher for younger women, but advancements in technology have helped improve outcomes for older patients as well.
It’s important to keep in mind that IVF can be emotionally and financially taxing. Couples should be prepared for multiple cycles of treatment, as not all IVF attempts result in pregnancy. Clinics in Hastsal Village offer counseling and emotional support to help navigate the process.

Infertility Treatment in Kota: Expert Care for Your Family Planning Journey
Infertility is a sensitive and often stressful experience for many couples. In Kota, a growing number of couples are seeking effective infertility treatments to help them achieve their dream of becoming parents. Whether the issue is related to the male or female partner, the good news is that there are advanced treatment options available in Kota that can significantly improve the chances of conception.
Understanding Infertility: A Complex Journey
Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive after one year of unprotected intercourse. It affects both men and women, and various factors can contribute to the condition, such as hormonal imbalances, ovulatory disorders, blocked fallopian tubes, low sperm count, age, and underlying health conditions. In some cases, infertility can also be unexplained.
For couples struggling with infertility, seeking medical guidance from a skilled specialist is crucial. The first step in addressing infertility is a comprehensive evaluation, which includes diagnostic tests, medical history review, and sometimes lifestyle assessments. Based on the findings, a treatment plan tailored to the couple’s needs can be recommended.
Advanced Infertility Treatments in Kota
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF): IVF is one of the most effective treatments for couples facing infertility. It involves stimulating the ovaries to produce eggs, retrieving them, fertilizing them outside the body, and then transferring the embryos into the uterus. IVF has helped many couples who were previously unable to conceive due to issues like blocked fallopian tubes, male infertility, or ovulatory disorders.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): IUI is a less invasive procedure that involves placing sperm directly into the uterus around the time of ovulation. This treatment is often used when the male partner has low sperm count or motility, or when there is mild unexplained infertility.
Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy: These minimally invasive surgical procedures help diagnose and treat conditions that may cause infertility, such as endometriosis, fibroids, or polyps. By addressing these issues, fertility can be restored.
Ovulation Induction and Fertility Medications: In cases of anovulation (lack of ovulation), fertility medications may be prescribed to stimulate the ovaries and promote egg release. These treatments can be combined with IUI for improved chances of success.
Egg/Sperm Donation and Surrogacy: In cases where the egg or sperm quality is poor or absent, donors may be considered. Surrogacy is another option for couples who are unable to carry a pregnancy due to medical reasons.
