Beautiful Disaster ll Jaylah&&Meghan
Leaving her personal wolves den from the place that was feeling like a toxic vortex, Jaylah headed straight towards the woods where she said she would be. Part of her wondered if it was a bad idea as this was so out of her normality for she wasn’t the type to just run off with a stranger, but the stronger part of her hoped the strange woman would be there. It was an odd rarity that Jaylah wanted to know more about someone else, especially one so foreign from her radar. The wolf trusted that this was suppose to happen for whatever reason it was, or at least that’s what she told herself to prevent herself from going back home as she ventured deeper into the woods. For a wolf, a Reznikov at that, it was dangerous to travel alone... but Tamryn had been running to the beat of her own drum and travelings less and less without her as of late. Her focus completely on an untrusting witch, which made meeting up with this stranger only have that much more appeal the more she thought about it in that light.
The smell of the woods made her itch to turn into her true form and run with the moon, but she kept focus on her laced boots snapping the twigs and leaves beneath her until she made it to The Whispering Tree. She shoved her hands in her pockets and looked up at the tall, omnious, perennial tree. It looked anything but alive or magical like whats rumored to be.
With her neck extended upward while looking up at the chilling branch arms that appeared strained and worn, she waited for Meghan.

“Not another step.”
Although being a wraith didn’t quite give her the enhanced senses afforded to other supers based on their species, she still had a decade of training in hunting both humans and supernaturals under her belt, and it was enough to make her aware to the newcomer’s presence. What they were doing following her, she didn’t know. But she intended to find out.
“Why are you following me?”
Her voice and expression were both equally unfriendly. When she felt threatened in the slightest, her old habits and behaviors tended to come forth.
There was no reason for anyone to be out here in this abandoned building where she was searching for answers – unless they were keeping tabs on her. Gun trained on the other person, not recognizing them immediately, she awaited their answer.

“Well I said you’re the only human I’ve met. It’s not like I’d exactly meet myself.”
Meghan chuckled, albeit with the tiniest hint of nervousness. She’d forgotten that a similar question had come up the first time they’d met and she hadn’t answered it fully back then, either. She knew dodging the question could only last for so long, so she’d figured it’d be best to at least give some kind of answer for the time being. “I’m an undead. I only recently got to meet Stanislav. He said he’d help me if I ever needed anything. He seems like someone who knows what he’s doing, and like he has a lot of experience. I think I’ve been learning to like it here as well.” She gave a friendly smile, satisfied with having given at least somewhat of an answer. “So what brings you out here? Enjoying the weather as well?”
She puffed her cheeks out as her question seemed to have no answer. However she gasped softly when she mentioned she was undead and met Stan. “Oh are you a vampire? and you’ve met Stan too! That was sweet of him to offer to help you.” She could just feel her cheeks heating up at the mention of her vampire.
“Yes it’s a beautiful day out and I hate being cooped up inside alone! Everyone I usually hang with are either busy or asleep right now.” She sighs softly with a pout.

Music, lights, clamoring voices…. All telltale signs of human, or supernatural, life. Basically, the one thing she typically tried to stay far away from. Meghan was never sure whether it was her wraith nature that made her avoid people like the plague, or if she’d always been that way. Perhaps it was something new, brought on by her newfound distrust for her former employers, or the fact that she’d had a death mark against her once, which had resulted in her death. Either way, her trust was all but nonexistent. However, despite her many misgivings, here she was, “schmoozing” with other supernaturals. Or at least, that’s what she was supposed to be doing. She found it difficult, however, to approach anyone in this setting. It seemed that everyone here either knew each other already or was in a great mood and more than willing to make friends, or at least exchange pleasantries. Meghan was doing none of that. Instead, she found herself off to the side, nursing a cup of the hardest liquor she could find at this… festival. This was probably a foolish endeavor, anyway. No one would want to talk shop when they were supposed to be having fun. Still, if she wanted to find out more about herself, her species, or where she was going to fit into the world… she had to start somewhere. That’s what brought her to the SuperCulture Festival, and that’s what got her a chance meeting with someone new when she heard a call to her from behind...

Memories (Nightmare)
My eyes suddenly shot open. It was dark... how long had I been here? I suddenly realized I was laying on the ground. It was cold. The cement floor must have been the cause...
I turned my head and looked to the side. Odd. Crinkled leaves swirled in a small cluster, caressed by the wind. It wasn’t the right time of year for the leaves to brown up like that and fall from the trees.
I sat up, suddenly cognizant of the fact that I couldn’t feel much, other than it being cold. Limbs must have been numbed out. It was strange for it to be this cold in early summer, but i pushed the thought from my head as I got to my feet. Couldn’t really feel that much, either. What time was it?
I looked down to my wristwatch instinctively. A few seconds of squinting and I realized the second hand wasn’t moving. Damn thing broke while I was asleep?
Why was I asleep anyhow? Why was I here?
Before I could recall, I heard growling. Alert now, I looked around and spotted an abandoned minivan to hide behind. I made my way to it and crouched down, trying to sneak glances toward where the sound was coming from. Soon enough, a wolf came into sight, snarling and sniffing the air. Despite my caution, it felt as though I were perfectly calm, even though I shouldn’t be.
After a small moment, I spot what the wolf has come upon. A cadaver. Peering out a little further, I can make out a general form. Female, brunette. Leather jacket. Unwittingly, I feel my eyes drawn down to my own jacket sleeves. I pull my eyes back up to the scene before me. It has the sleeve between its teeth, pulling at it, jerking the body around. I get a glimpse of its face-
An audible gasp. Meghan sat up, breathing heavily. She was pouring sweat. Cold chills. She pushed aside the bedsheets, running her hands through her hair. She got up out of the bed, snatching up her handgun from the nearby lamp table as she caught her breath.
Holding onto it like it was the only thing keeping her together.

“Yes, Stan was quite nice. I forgot I still need to make an appointment with him since I’m still unsure of what all vampires can do.” Meghan smiled, glad to see that apparently she’d said the right thing. Kiki seemed to be happy at what she’d mentioned, although she wasn’t sure why. Overall Kiki just seemed to have positive energy, though, so it could just be that. “I agree, even I had to come out for this. Well, if none of your friends are available, I could always substitute in if you’re looking for a little company. If not, I totally understand. Just thought I’d offer.” She was completely expecting to be turned down.
“Ohhh you’re a new vampire? Stans been around a long time so he’d know all about that stuff! Oh....wait!” Her eyes went wide as she realized that if Meghan was indeed a vampire, why was she out in the sun? “You can’t be a vampire or you’d have burned to a crisp by now!....” she raised a brow expecting an explanation. Feeling foolish that for a moment she actually thought this woman was a vampire.
“I’m always looking for new friends! So let’s go have fun!” She stood up from her seat and reaches over grabbing Meghans hand. “There’s a lot we could do like eating, we could visit the ducks, shopping, swinging, exploring, anything you want to do?!” It was obvious that the wiccan was excited to have someone to spend time with.

Hazel eyes blinked as the raven-haired wraith tried to place the other in front of her. After a small moment of contemplation, recollection took hold of her. “That’s right! You were one of the few humans I met there. In fact, I think you’re still the only human I’ve had the pleasure of meeting since coming to this city. How are you liking it here? You’re certainly pleasant enough to me, at least. I’ve been trying to adjust to everything. It’s kind of a whole new start for me here.” She admitted to feeling a little out of sorts when it came to Tabula Rasa. But she was trying her hardest to acclimate to the new climate and making new friends where she could, while simultaneously being weary of not trusting too much. She was in a potentially dangerous spot given who she was in her past, as well as what she was now.
She perks up at the mention of being the only human, did this mean the person before her was a supernatural. “Oh really?, if you don’t mind me asking what would that make you?” Her curiosity got the better of her. She’d already met so many different kinds of supernaturals during her time in Tabula, she was excited to befriend more. “I love this city very much....and all the people I’ve met so far are amazing! I’m starting a new life here as well so I understand how that feels. But Tabula is a place of acceptance for humans and supernaturals so I’m sure you’ll adjust just fine!”

“No, I’m not a vampire, I’m just undead.” Before she could really get into the specifics, which she was already mumbling and trying to avoid getting into, Kiki suddenly seemed to have an even bigger spike of energy. It caused the wraith to blink in mild surprise, but ultimately she was smiling, and couldn’t but feel herself get caught up in the other’s excitement. “Oh! Well, that all sounds nice! I could always use another friend! Let’s do all those things – anything you want! I’m sure you have plenty of good ideas, and I just want to focus on making sure we make the most of the day.” Meghan smiled excitedly, really warming up to the idea of spending the day with Kiki and just… well, having fun! She could actually feel the warmth of the sun on her skin today, just a little.
“Hmm well are you still able to eat food?” That of course was a very important question to Kiki. It wouldn’t bother her if Meghan couldn’t eat but, it was a lot more fun eating together with someone. “We should go see the ducks first since it’s closest!” She picked up her pace and dragged her newfound friend along. Only stopping when they reached the pond that was littered in adorable ducks. “Did you know feeding bread to ducks and geese is actually bad for them? I only found that out a few years ago and I felt so awful for all the duckies that I used to feed bread to.” As a child and even as a teen Kiki loved going to ponds and feeding the ducks and geese. She’d make trails out of the crumbs for them to follow and some would even let her pet them after awhile.

Kiki had yet again decided to spend her day off at the park. Not wanting to be stuck alone in her apartment all day, plus it was such a beautiful day outside. After walking around a bit she had taken a seat on one of the park benches. Checking her phone and responding to any missed text messages. Only looking up when a voice breaks through the silence. She stares at the familiar person curiously before her and then it dawns on her. “We met at the carnival! I’m pretty sure we did at least. Sorry I can’t seem to remember your name, I’m Kiki! It’s nice to see you again.” A smile coming to her lips. It was a brief interaction but she did remember that this lady had been kind to her.
A Chance Meeting (Meghan&&Kiki)
It was a beautiful day out. Not the kind of thing someone like Meghan normally paid attention to, but even she had to take a moment to just enjoy the weather outside. Continuing her intentions of fitting in here at Tabula Rasa, she was once again mingling amongst the people, deciding that with lovely a weather like this, the park was the place to be. Heading to a familiar park bench, she noticed a shock of dark hair, wondering if perhaps Elidi had elected to similarly take advantage of the weather and this location. But, the closer she got, the more she began to realize this was certainly someone else. Once the other was within obvious sight, she realized she recognized this person.
“Oh, hey! We’ve met before, right? You seem awfully familiar.”
She had a friendly smile on her face, hands on her hips.
