Old wooden totems on the shores between Asnelles and Ver sur mer. I love the way they create bold cuts in the landscape. I heard there that this was an old way to prevent the sand to be washed away. ------ Anciens totems de bois sur la plage entre Asnelles et Ver sur mer. Cordoba Mezquita-Catedral. This has been a cathedral since about 1300, and before that it was a Mosque since about 800. There’s impassioned arguments about what it was before that time, and I wouldn’t be so reckless as to speculate! There’s a large complex with a 13 euro paid admission of the interior of the cathedral and old mosque. It’s a beautiful structure, but after about a half an hour in there, I think I would have preferred to spend the ticket price on a nice lunch, and done another drawing somewhere else. Siempre he querido hacer un libro ilustrado hecho solo de dibujos originales. Y pensé que algún día dibujaría los momentos que capturé en cámara durante mi viaje a la India. Estos dos deseos, que existieron solo como pensamientos durante mucho tiempo, ahora se encuentran aquí y se hacen realidad.

Primero, llené todas las páginas con colores indios, y luego abrí la página llena con el color que quería en ese momento, y encontré y pinté escenas que me recordaban a ese color. Todavía estoy en el proceso de elegir las escenas que quiero poner en la página en blanco.

Todo el proceso tomó alrededor de un mes para dibujar con la idea de que debería ser el puro placer de dibujar. Fue un día brillante con la alegría de pintar sumada al viaje a la India, que fue el viaje más bonito de mi vida.
