Saw a poll asking which fast food I'd give up for a week for a million dollars, and it's like I'd give up fucking food for a week for that price, there's literally nothing that wouldn't be on the chopping block when it's giving it up for a week
Not to mention I already barely have fast food once a month, and that's only if you count the costco pizza or burgers from the general store (which are more like backyard bbq style... like... the not great but not bad kind from a grill, you know?)
So... money please, I already won, pay me
#like I'm not even kidding about if I got it signed in a contract that I'd get paid; that I'd give up eating for a week for that much#pretty sure while it wouldn't be good for me I'd make it; and... that would only be like 7 less meals that week for an average week#I wouldn't be happy; I don't like being hungry (which is pretty much my forever state; I'm hungry as hell right now)#I know enough to know it would probably take a toll on me given the way I'll prowl the house over and over looking in vain for food#like it would be bad#but there's not a lot I wouldn't do for that kinda money; I'm not gonna pretend that a million isn't a price I can be bought at#basically no hurting anyone; nothing that would do permanent damage... really really gross stuff would cost more#but I don't pretend to have too much pride for this#if you're a sick freak with too much money hit me up and we can probably make a deal#anyway my real point in this post was just the fact that like... give up fast food for a week?#for that price I'd give it up for life; I lose at most costco pizza and perhaps food from the general store; though it isn't fast food#I don't like fast food much; it's already too pricey; you're paying me to do what I already want to do#and with that money I could hire someone to come to my house and teach me to cook#I could pay someone in town to get my groceries... it's a not brainer#hell; for like... mhh... ten million I'd never eat at a restaurant again; though there I'd like to negotiate exceptions to try stuff#like... make the deal that I can't go places regularly; and I can't loop hole this to just always be traveling#but that like if I travel to Japan or something I can try the restaurants there#...twenty five million and I never eat at any restaurant anywhere ever (I'd pay people to have me over for dinner)#one hundred million I never eat anyone's cooking again (I'd go to Japan for instance and pay someone to teach me to cook)#(have them eat with me to make sure I made it right; so I could experience it but no one else made it)#these are my prices#but for real; I never ever ever even go to restaurants; there's exactly one kinda high end pizza place I'd miss with that deal#and again... I'd just go in and pay someone to come help me figure out how to make it at home

I visited the Tokyo
I visited the Tokyo metropolitan area for the first time in six months since I moved out there. After getting off the bullet train, I walked to the faraway platform to transfer the train. Because Tokyo Station is too big and so many different train lines come in, it took fifteen minutes to get to the platform even by using the moving walkway. The whole station was filled with an enormous number…

in other news, level of ‘i don’t like throwing things out’: adding hotel stops to my errands list bc i don’t want to throw out 8 keycards
#i was stupid and didn't return a whole bunch of hotel keycards from 2019 when i was traveling a lot for work#i think i was like#souvenir?? souvenir.#but that was stupid and now i don't want to throw them out bc i KNOW hotels recycle keycards#so i looked up all the marriott brands near me lmao and added making stops there to my todo list#it's dumb tho bc even though the keycards are all under the marriott umbrella brand#i can't just return all of them at a marriott i have to go each marriott brand eg: westin / courtyard / fairfield/ etc#it's dumb but i'm doing it bc it's not that inconvenient actually eg: there's a fairfield two min from the costco i frequent#anyways note to future me: return the goddamn keycards

Travel with comfort 🛫🏖️🏞️🏝️

To whom it may concern
What would Costco consider to be his comfort food?
He's obsessed with the elvish seedcakes that were donated to the orphanage around holidays from a bakery in waterdeep. They remind him of the excitement of the city
#costco the bard#he would save up candies all year to trade the orphans for their seedcake#he loves it so much#since it had to travel so far tho it was usually dry but he was/none the wiser#he hasn't had it forever#answered#hiso tag

Also not including the previously mentioned items! I don't bring a purse around, I bring my whole-ass backpack, by the way.
I always have my iPad/Apple Pencil and a sketchbook and some pens and pencils, plus a mini writing pad. Then I also have a portable battery and 3 kinds of chargers (iPhone charger, mini USB, and USB-C). I also bring ear buds and earplugs (restaurants in downtown Vancouver play music LOUD and it has saved me more than once).
I also bring a water bottle, a granola bar, pack of tissues, Gravol, pain killers, lozenges, and allergy medicine, a pair of emergency underwear and a pair of emergency socks (wet socks are the WORST). On that note, an emergency umbrella. And hand sanitizer and extra masks are a must!
This also reminded me that I need to restock my disposable chopsticks because yes, they get a lot of use, ahaha. Also I just went grocery shopping so I need to make sure I remember to return my in-case shopping bag.
On convention days I'll also bring a hydrating mist and some basic make-up items.
@ people who carry bags everywhere what do you put in them what is there to bring other than chapstick, keys, phone and maybe a tampon why are you packing a suitcase to be outside for 5 hours
#my friends and family and coworkers all have a myriad of health problems#better safe than sorry#plus i have dust and pollen allergies so the tissues are a NEED NEED NEED#the underwear got use Once and I don't want to talk about it#sometimes Vancouver just rains when it's not supposed to so having an umbrella at all time works though not so much in the summer#the chargers and cables are because I'm basically packing power for my whole friend group and we all use different phones#some of my friends struggle with maintaining blood sugar so the emergency granola bar is for that#the gravol and painkillers are used so often i have to get Costco sized bottles to replenish my travel stock#I go out to eat more than i should so that's what the hand sanitizer is for#not always at restaurants sometimes picnic style so the emergency chopsticks are great for that#i also need to draw on the go and i'm still learning to draw with Procreate so that's why I have both my iPad and a traditional sketchbook

High key, the fact that over the counter, estrogen free oral contraceptives are now available is like. Mind-blowing. A pure sign that social justice and equality is the side to which the arc of history bends. That once the box is open, no misogynist can ever close it again
#if my heart wasnt so withered and dessicated id be crying#need to invent time travel to take the image of costco opill back to the ye olde feminists and show them it was all worth it#terfs can still die#next up do the same for puberty blockers for all pur trans friends#we will still fight

To be fair, we do also do this with our own words in english.
Remember middle school when it really, really mattered if you liked someone or if you like liked them
settle this for me once and for all
is “chai” a TYPE of tea??! bc in Hindi/Urdu, the word chai just means tea
#i do tend to say chai just on its own but I think that’s largely because I drink a lot of it#they have this chai concentrate thing my mom gets for me from Costco that you just add an equal amount of milk and it’s a chai latte and its#delicious. I don’t drink coffee and that’s basically what I drink instead of coffee#I usually bring a travel mug of it with me to work in the mornings#so I went from chai latte -> chai#but if I’m at work where people are not intimidately familiar with my specific chai latte process and I refer to my mug or its contents#I usually just say my tea
