Theres no way it just came like that. He made the conscious decision to give it a matching hat. At least thats what I'm choosing to think

sorry this part made me laugh because i was like "wait they have plastic cups and soft drinks in this world??" it really caught me off guard for some reason. which is funny in hindsight because now i've met franky and been through thriller bark and punk hazard which are like bordering on sci-fi

Luffy 100% stole a bunch of the transponder snails from a marine ship, not knowing what they're even used for. He just thought they were cute. The rest of the straw hats are iffy about the snails until Luffy makes little outfits for them, so they all look like his crew. And yes. The Luffy one has his own mini strawhat.
