Me and my friend/co-author were talking well he was playing Fallout New Vegas and I got bored.

I agree with this, that's why in my story Rumble and Frenzy are the Transformers equivalent of 19. Soundwave is just an overprotective guardian to his two adopted sons and Rumble and Frenzy (R&F) are super immature.

As someone who's short I feel like it's important to have some of the minicons just be adults because I'm often treated like a child.

However I can't deny how funny it is to have (R&F) do stupid and immature pranks with someone like Skywarp. I do have some mature minicons like Peacemaker and Powerglide but they're less important to the story unlike R&F

Transformers hot take maybe because I’m just a little annoyed about this this evening.

But the cassettes and minibots are literally just short. Like. Canonically they’re adults. They’re just small because the Transformers are robot aliens and they can be huge city sized or plane sized or person sized. They’re literally just short.

Idk it’s just hard to find fan works that acknowledge the cassettes are adults, and it’s annoying me this evening. The Soundwave dad jokes are only funny for about one second to me until I remember how many people do not understand that the cassettes literally aren’t children.

Personal preference and gripe. People can write whatever they want. I don’t have to like it. It’s just frustrating to me that this non canon idea that I don’t like is so oversaturated in fan works.

Calling it now, or manifesting (whatever you want to call it), I want the Jon Matteson frog knight to be mortally wounded in the climax of Cinderella’s Castle (perhaps to save Ella).

As he’s dying his little puppet death and I’m crying Ella tells him he’s a real knight and thanks him for his help, perhaps even declaring her love for him in a very platonic way (or a romantic way) and she gives him a little kiss.

Cue flashing lights and magic sound effects and who puts down the puppet and stands up but human man Jon Matteson who was The Frog Prince the whole time.

I often think about these frames from Legends comic where Starscream is trying to sacrifice himself (again) and the only one who can stop him is… Alexis.

Alpha Trion: Leave this to me! I’ll summon her with the ultra-drill! The girl Starscream risked his life to protect! Alexis!

How did OP and Megatron’s first meeting go? Like, I mean, their first meeting after OP banished Megs to the surface with the high guards?

No problem!

Their reunion was a surprise for both tbh. This would be about a few days after the whole banishment.

The Decepticons, on the other hand, were busy trying still looking for a decent place to live in (They're still recovering from the mini fight they had gotten into with the Autobots back in Iacon). They were nearby where the Quintessons were and were hiding in different areas to not be easily found.

The Autobots had gone to the surface when they received a report of Quintessons visiting there. While the Autobots prepared to fight, they went closer to the ship and Optimus saw where Megatron was hiding. He split apart from his allies, claiming to find higher ground, and he quickly silences Megatron before trying to persuade him to follow him where the Autobots were 'for safety.'

Megatron was very surprised, and momentarily believed Optimus had forgiven him and the high guard, and was helping them escape the Quintessons. That was until Optimus tried to attack a high guard when they tried to approach the duo. Megatron immediately pulled back and reprimanded Optimus for it, and tried to convince him to go after the Quints instead of his allies.

Optimus easily found it rude and upsetting that Megatron wasn't on his side, and they argued and ended up revealing their position to the Quints. In that moment, both Autobots and Decepticons fought- the Autobots for removing an enemy, the Decepticons to escape and survive.

Megatron and the high guard manage to escape with minor injuries, but of course Optimus is pissed, and plans for how to get Megatron back to him again.

Idea but

I imagined an Aligned adjacent au where at one point or another where all three are on a rebuilding Cybertron with their own apartments and haven't reunited until now

Starscream and Soundwave have their rid15 designs because those are beautiful as fuck in my opinion

Megs in my opinion has either a frame that's a mockup of his pre-war Megatronus frame or something similar to what we see in "Coming Home" because I fucking loved that fic

On a side note I've been running this plotline where Megs shows up somewhere and Optimus meets him while he's in jail of sorts, and Megs makes a remark about "This feels familiar, does it not?" A bittersweet moment with a helping of this exasperated fondness to it in my mind. I say this because I know in rid Starscream and Soundwave were individually hauled in for a trial, and I adore the idea of there being a rehabilitation program because yes.

I'll be honest I don't really know who Starscream should be with as in this situation I'm imagining wavewave and megop, yes. I know I did imagine Starscream having minibots / smaller sparklings, because I've been thinking about that (the frame ratios are more in favor of carrying for his rid15 frame, which is how this scenario was born.)
