TFE RANT (also spoilers)

Okay, so for those of you who haven't heard of Transformers Earth Spark, it's basically a show where the cybertronian War is technically over and now cybertronians are trying to get used to the life on earth. But they are completely treated like they are animals. If you want to watch the show yourself then go right ahead it should be on Amazon Prime or on Paramount Plus because this will contain spoilers for the first season and the 2nd season so feel free to skip this.

So all of you know the Decepticons right?

Well, near the end of the last episode of season 1 of Earth Spark they all decided to work together with the Decepticons to take down mandroid, the main antagonist of season 1. There was also two episodes where one of the Decepticons started to have a relationship with the Malto family. Like for example

See how these two GIFs are completely wholesome? Infact, the first season teaches that even though somebody could be on the opposite side of things that doesn't initially mean that they are a bad guy completely, just misunderstood.

It teaches that everyone can have a second chance if they really try but not everyone can really get that second chance.

And then season 2 comes around,

And BOY was I pissed off about it.

Now I haven't watched season 2 myself but I have watched one episode in it and that's it. remember that I said that the Decepticons finally decided to fight Mandroid thanks to Twitch and that some of the Terrans actually had some decent relationships with some of the Decepticons?

Well season two just completely THROWS ALL OF IT OUT OF THE FUCKING WINDOW!!!

When I watch season 2 I thought it was going to be all cool and hype and I thought everyone was just overreacting over season 2. NOPE! THEY HAD THE RIGHT TO BE UPSET! Because one episode in and I was immediately flashed banged with shock. Robby was explaining after 2 years of like saving cybertronians from Mandroid's destruction the quintus prime Stone (I don't remember what it's called) kind of shattered into like thousands of pieces across the globe. He then says that the Decepticons help them to retrieve them but then they decided to turn on them and get the shards for themselves. EVEN THOUGH THE FIRST SEASON SAID THAT NOT ALL DECEPTICONS ARE BAD!!

Like where did this even come from!? And why make them back into villains when we already saw the shot of them HELPING TWITCH AND HER FAM FROM KILLING ALL CYBERTRONIANS!? Like, what is the point of this!? If you're just going to make them bad guys anyway, why give the Terrans a chance to understand them and sympathize with the 'cons!? You had such a good new take on the Transformers yet you decided to throw away that said good take and just take it back to square one!

WHAT THE HELL HASBRO!?

And don't get me started with Bumblebee's relationship with Breakdown. You clearly set them up to be best buddies and then you just set that friendship arc on fire and just went on the 'Con vs 'Bot arc again. But the part that pisses me off the most is Starscream's abandon arc. Earthspark *clearly* wanted to make this Starscream as sympathetic as possible and this could have worked well. IF THEY DIDNT MAKE HIM THE MAIN VILLIAN IN SEASON 2!

And I guess prowl appearing in season 3 is kind of nice but it would have been better if he was like the villain instead of Starscream. If they were going to be good Decepticons then there has to be bad Autobots. But hey, Hasbro isnt keen on keeping promises are you Hasbro?

God, you had such a good idea and you just had to ruin it with season 2 and 3. I hope the rumors of Earthspark getting canceled are true thanks to this.

Also, GIVE US A TRUELY, ACTUAL, HEROIC, SYMPATHETIC STARSCREAM FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! **AND DONT FUCK IT UP THIS TIME!!!**

Okay, I think I'm done for now, but I might add a part 2 if I decided to watch the rest of season 2 and season 3.

Yet I ship Megatron x Optimus and Starscream x Bee,, like those aren't better than Megastar.😭😭😭

Nobody asked but I'm going to say it anyway.

The reason I've never been interested in Megop is not because I don't like the ship (specifically now that I've watched TF One), the real reason is the over-infantilization of Optimus/Orion Pax.

For some reason this fandom likes to infantilize him and that always bothered me. I don't have a problem with different interpretations in ships, fics and AUs, but I always found it strange that OP is always presented as extremely innocent on a childish level.

Like, he's practically a grown man and acts like one in EVERY continuity! Yeah, in the Aline continuity it says in the books that he was shy and awkward before becoming a Prime, but that's not the same as "uwu gay boy"!

This honestly turned me off a lot from the ship, SPECIFICALLY Prime Megop!

Can we have like, Megop but both act like adults?? Can we just have the ship where Optimus acts like a mature and serious character??

Again, nothing against reinterpretations, I just think this infantilization of the OP is very pointless and almost kind of ruins the ships involving him(yeah, that goes for other ships involving him too!)

It's ok to make him awkward and shy, we've seen that in Animated and Cyberverse and it works really well! But please, can we stop with the infantilization? This is getting to a point where it's uncomfortable!

Guys, I have a feeling on my mind lately that I needed to speak out...

I don't Like Elita One and Blackarachnia being the same person, look. I gets it, she's supposed to be dark, attractive, and tragic after what happened to Arachna seven. But seriously, if I want a tragic yet attractive and dark storyline for Elita one? I prefer the Skybound's version of Elita one. She's Tragic, dark with a reasonable crash out, Spoiler for Skybound comics at the bottom.

Who is desperate for Optimus to save them while joining sides with Shockwave as he experiments and does war crimes. No kidding, if I was wrong then I need to reread Skybound again. Like seriously, Look at This Image and Tell me this isn't as dark while Elita Begged Optimus to not destroy their plans to save Cybertron while sacrificing earth!

But Here!?

Here are all variations of her canonical designs in Transformers Animated.

She has a Different Colour scheme and designs than the regular Elita one so why not Change Her name!? Just change her name then that's it, sure she's not the usual love interest that everyone knows about from previous generations but if she's a different person and character then People would view her differently and probably make other versions of her like. New Bot, new character with similarities but different nonetheless. I don't want Elita-1 as a villain to be Sexy, seductive and evil for what happened to her in TFA. She's Tragic and Sexy, yes, but that doesn't excuse her for my opinion and criticism against her.

She will be renamed Atena-4 for now in my version. If you call her Elita-1 then I don't mind, just a pet peeve of mine.

She's Named after the Greek God Athena. There's a story that goes the origins of Arachnid in Greek mythology, WHOM got turned into a spider via Athena. While Number 4 represents Athena's lucky number, it would be if the writers parallel each story of the Spiders and Goddesses so why couldn't they!? There's even a moral of selfishness, pridefulness and jealousy so it fits perfectly for Blackarachnia's traits filled with scorn and venom. If only the writers at least make original characters for once rather than reusing names...

I don't Hate Blackarachnia as a character in TFA, I just dislike the fact that she's known as Elita-one.

guys, I'm watching Transformers: Prime for the first time and, I'm sorry but Ultra Magnus is giving me such an ick rn.

like, I appreciate a man who's all about following the rules, sometimes by-the-book is a great way of doing stuff (especially if the book was heavily influenced by our dear Optimus) but he just seems so like akshjdgsks?? I don't even really know how to describe it

he just seems really dismissive of everyone he views as even slightly less than him, whether that be professionally or otherwise

like he treats the humans with what I can only describe as distain, he's so pressed about the rules it's like he forgets this is an entirely alien species, they're not gonna know the socially correct way to interact with you, bro, they're from a different planet

and the way he doesn't bother learning any of their names? I feel like it's kinda obvious these little guys are really important to the rest of team Prime but he won't even refer to them by the name of their species let alone trying to know them individually

and I guess I can excuse that for now, you know, I get there's a lot going on at the moment what with Optimus and Smokescreen missing and Megatron chilling in his kickass fortress but I hope he tries to learn them later at least

also, what's with the attitude towards Bulkhead and Wheeljack? I mean, he says the word "wrecker" like it's a damn slur

these guys have survived years fighting Megatron and the decepticons, they're one of the few groups left and two significant members of their team are wreckers and Ultra Magnus doesn't even consider that their tactics and abilities may have had a hand in helping the group fight and survive. he acts like they're wild animals he needs to wrangle so they can be of any use

idk guys, he got the bearings of a good leader, I've obviously only known him for a few episodes, maybe him being a lil funny is gonna be part of a character arc idk, but I'm just not vibing with him rn

It’s okay not to like it, but it’s not okay to wine and wine about it.

Grow up, shut up and move on. We get enough negativity already with what’s happening in the world right now.

You should be more worried about a possible WORLD WAR HAPPENING! Or your family!

So, put on your big girl/boy pants and go see “The Wild Robot” instead, no one gives a crap if you see “Transformers One” or not!

This man enrages me every time a new Transformers movie comes out that isn’t made by Micheal Bay, he NEEDS to learn that not every movie has to connect back to the bayverse.

He’s recently made a claim that Transformers One is a prequel to the Micheal Bay films, which it isn’t

First off the whole of Cybertron looks nothing like it does in the bay films. In One it looks like a planet you can actually live in, also there is a whole surface area which doesn’t exist in the Micheal Bay films.

What could be the Quintessons in Age Of Extinction once again look completely different.

Sentinel Prime, Optimus, Megatron, Bumblebee, especially Elita look different

You’re telling me these is the same character

Also in the Bayverse comics Elita, Optimus, and Megatron are said to be followers of Sentinels teachings. Doesn’t look like sentinel’s gonna teach much in One getting tied up by the Quintesson.

It’s the same thing with Rise of the Beast Lorenzo claimed it was a part of the Bayverse continuity even though there were glaring continuity errors. The biggest one being the planet eater Unicron. In The Last Knight Unicron is the earth in Rise of the Beasts his floating somewhere is space eating planets.

I saw a video by emperor kumkwat on YouTube that said that the original 2007 spotlight arcee comic was “transphobic” for the stupidest reason.

emperor kumkwat said that it was “transphobic” because of the fact that arcee had her gender changed against her will. Apparently it was “making transitioning look scary” and “could damage people’s ideas of trans people”.

it was only the fact that it was done to arcee against her will that made it scary. If she wanted it, it would have seemed less scary. Anything can be scary if it is done to you against your will. And I don’t know how that comic would turn people transphobic? Anybody who reads it will probably know not to judge people who want it willingly. The comic isn’t telling people to hate them.

I couldn’t blame Simon furman for hating the female transformers when they first became a thing. The original ones were these 3 identical looking transformers that all acted the same and were much shorter than the male transformers. Female transformers are cool now, but not back in the 80s lol.

so ive started reading the IDW comics bc i wanted to get more into transformers. but see i cant just start in phase 2 with lost light and the wreckers and all that, like i NEED to read phase 1 first even if it’s not actually necessary. just for my own satisfaction yk? now the issue is everyone on my dash keeps talking about lost light and their blorbos and what not and i wanna interact with all of it BUT ITS SO FAR FROM WHERE I AM IN THE SERIES THAT I BARELY EVEN UNDERSTAND ANY OF IT

Why the fuck do you guys have to keep attacking MLW ships?? Look, I love MLM ships more than anyone, but can you stop being so toxic with straight ships???

Straight ships are not the end of the world, I grew up with straight ships, I know when to spot a good one! It's very frustrating not to attack the women on these ships!!

Just for people referring to Opilita fans as "terrorists", go fuck yourself! You're not a true Megop fan! Megop fans shouldn't attack Opilita fans because of the ship!

This is just like that story I heard a few months ago about a lesbian artist doing an MLM ship and people attacking them for no reason!

Let people ship whatever they want! As long as it's not hurtful or problematic, it's okay! Oplita is a valid ship, don't let a bunch of jerks on the internet intimidate you into not liking the ship!

Honestly, this was Good than I expected. I got a few issues with Blackarachnia as a character which often makes her more malicious than Tragic, especially if she's Elita-1 at the same time. I wouldn't hate if she's like this in canon, but alas... This isn't canon but I further believe this is true to the character rather than just a Sexy Villain Femme fatale. If she's Elita-1 then SHOW HER She's still the same Elita-1 that everyone knows about. Make her sympathetically morally grey to show her that she's not just filled with revenge and lustful Flirting to be Villanize by her peers because of her new look she couldn't control. If they want to represent the racism issue on the Autobots and Cybertron as a whole, then give the Technoorganics that not all of them are bad because of what they're born or made whether they choose it or something happened to them.

Rewriting Blackarachnia’s and Sentinel’s Characters:

I want to try and see if I can make them a bit more redeemable then in canon…

Archa 7:

Instead of going to a forbidden planet for fun and potential fame, Archa 7 was Optimus’, Sentinel’s and Elita’s 1st mission as Autobot Elite Guard Primes.

(Also, Optimus and Elita have crushes on each other and Sentinel was trying to get them together…) 

Everything basically went as disastrously as in canon. 

Sentinel still blamed Optimus for what happened cause Optimus was the leader and leaders are supposed to protect all their teammates and friends. 

Even though what happened wasn’t truly Optimus’ fault, cause he was forced to make a hard decision in order to save Sentinel and Ultra Magnus knew this.

But Optimus felt so guilty about what happened, that he quits being in the Elite Guard, cause it didn’t feel right to have his dream… if he couldn’t share it with Elita and Sentinel.

Ultra Magnus decides to give Optimus a job in Spacebridge Repairs instead. 

Transform and Roll Out: 

When Blackarachnia/Elita joins the Decepticons as a scientist, she is uncomfortable with the idea of experimenting or permanently changing others, even if they give her their consent. 

Blackarachnia actually feels guilty for what she accidentally did to Blitzwing, but unlike in canon, Blitzwing doesn’t hold a grudge. 

She’s still a snarky spider. 

Autoboot Camp:

Sentinel is still a jerk and an organic racist, but not as bad as in canon and he’s a bit smarter too.

When Longarm (instead of Bumblebee) accused Wasp of being a Decepticon and had flimsy evidence, Sentinel wanted to investigate to be sure if this was true. 

So, Longarm/Shockwave was forced to plant stronger evidence against Wasp, which leads to Wasp’s arrest. 

Bumblebee was so sad and angry over nobody believing Wasp is innocent (in this version, Bee and Wasp are brothers that cared about each other) that he quits the camp, cause he doesn’t want to be in the Elite Guard without Wasp and Bulkhead joins him. 

Along Came A Spider: 

Blackarachnia/Elita still blames Optimus and Sentinel for what happened to her, but doesn’t hold as big of a grudge as in canon.

She even offers Optimus chances to join the Decepticons and tries to convince him by saying things like, “The Autobots don’t care about us, cause we’re not perfect to them… so, why should we care about them?” 

Blackarachnia and Optimus are both constantly trying to convince the other to join their side. 

Blackarachnia also kinda cares about Sari Sumdac.

When Blackarachnia uses the Allspark Key to try curing herself and sees that it was draining the life out of Sari and all the organics in Detroit, Blackarachnia is horrified by all of this and tries to pull the Key out, but she can’t cause she’s weakened and Optimus had to help her. 

Megatron Rising:

Instead of trying to trick Sari for the Key, Blackarachnia goes out of her way to comfort Sari over Optimus not trusting her anymore. 

The Elite Guard/The Return Of The Headmaster/Mission Accomplished: 

Everything with Sentinel in these episodes is more or less the same, except he takes the threat of Decepticons showing up on Earth more seriously. 

Black Friday/Predacons Rising: 

Blackarachnia actually cares about the Dinobots and empathizes with them about being outcastes of society. 

Instead of flirting with them, she acts motherly/protective towards them and they all love it, especially Grimlock. 

She doesn’t poison Bumblebee and Prowl, but instead asks Optimus to team up with Grimlock to find the modulator that could hopefully cure her. 

She adopts Wasp later on and at first she didn’t want to turn him into Waspinator, but Wasp insisted. 

When Sentinel reunites with Blackarachnia, he still thinks her organic form is horrible, but he doesn’t want to kill her and instead wants to help cure her. 

But Blackarachnia rejects his help and refuses to trust Sentinel, especially with his racist comments. 

Eventually, Optimus convinces Blackarachnia to at least join his team, if she can’t trust the Autobots as a whole. 

Optimus teaches Blackarachnia to love herself again and Optimus finally teaches Sentinel some manners. 

After the final battle (which Prowl survives), Blackarachnia completely forgives Optimus and Sentinel, while Sentinel and Optimus forgive each other.

They’re all finally friends again!

I just read this issue and god lord, it hurt me more than I expected

Is the fact that even if Bee was mad at him, Star never stop trying to talk to him again, he just craves his little interactions together.

The last panel is the one who broke me entirely. He was probably sleeping on his desk, freshly awake and at the moment he heard his name he believed for a moment, for a brief moment, that it was Bee finally talking to him, finally going back to their little routine of fighting with each other. Starscream hoped his name was being pronounced by Bee again.
