If you’ve ever seen the comic “Starscream’s Beast,” this was inspired by that! Starscream’s Predacon child called Tantrum in the comic proper, but in this fic, he’s called Torox.

sometimes i think about how tf: earthspark could have been so FUCKING GOOD. like, season 1 wasn’t perfect or anything, but it was setting up the stage for some solid “oh SHIT!!!” storytelling that we haven’t seen since like, TFA’s whole omega supreme lore drop. and then season 2 pissed it all away.

we had a megs-and-dot dual critique of what they saw as optimus’ pandering to human “respectability politics” in the face of real-time injustice. that’s CRAZY. WE COULD HAVE HAD THAT. we could have had dot dissect her entire backstory in the military as a Black woman playing by the rules of US colonial imperialism, throwing herself into it to be used as a tool of oppression, only to see it for what it was and subsequently say “fuck that” and distance herself and becoming besties with MEGATRON — LIKE. IM CRAZY WITH IT. but no . s2 said lol what if we refused to even try

I think rather than "top vs bottom" or "red/black vs qing/bai" you can sort the MXTX leads into categories of "would be delighted to transform into their canon assigned fursona vs would be horrified to find themselves thus transformed"

Pharma is a very needy tiny. It might be difficult to notice at first, because he's quite organized and independent, but if you don't actively compliment whatever he's working on he'll start to think you don't like him. Be prepared for a dramatic meltdown at 3:00 AM, complete with staticky wailing and the buzzing of tiny chainsaws.

Lockdown isn't a tiny you adopt, he just kinda shows up one day like a stray cat and keeps coming around if you give him food. He'll occasionally bring you items he's scavenged or things you've lost. He brought you your spare housekey one time because he found it hidden and thought you'd lost it. Don't try and pet him though, because he may bite.

Star Saber is like a guard dog; he'll stand by your door or window with a hand on his sword, intently watching for ne'er-do-wells. He will also build a tiny little Primalist shrine in his habitat and chirp at you to join him for morning prayers, and even if you aren't religious it's probably best to humor him. You don't wanna wake up with him angrily trying to stab your leg with his little sword.

If you're getting a tiny for emotional support, Tyrest is not the bot to choose, because you're going to be his emotional support. It can be a bit difficult to tell at first when Tyrest is upset because he retains the exact same facial expression and posture, if you notice he's a bit more withdrawn and is starting to stare off into space, it's probably a good sign you need to pick him up and pat him reassuringly. When he's in a good mood, though, he'll keep track of what items you have in your home and add them to your grocery list if he thinks you need to restock, as well as just fixing random things around the house without prompting.

I think this is commonly overlooked by the fandom.

No matter how much the Decepticons go on about how their cause is a fight for equality, it’s never 100% true.

Much of the fandom seems to put the Decepticon Cause on a pedestal, assuming it was originally built on a primarily selfless, egalitarian ideological ideal.

However, I don’t think that’s true at all.

And guess what? That’s okay. A cause doesn’t have to be established on a perfect ideology to be a good cause, and to expect such a thing is unrealistic.

Pharma hates this smell. Ink, alcohol, medical instruments soaked in alcohol, a table covered in the blood of another "patient", reports-reports-reports with fresh stamps on white paper - oh God, how he hates it.

Pharma doesn't make mistakes.

But he feels that this won't last forever. To feel death and to step closer and closer to the edge of the abyss, feeling under the skin that any minute now - and that's it, Icarus will burn his wax wings on the sun and fall, smashing to the ground into a thousand small bloody pieces.

"Never making mistakes" Pharma will start making mistakes on purpose. Oh, and Pharma...

He wants this.

Stop the suffering of a man on the operating table - after all, if enough people die, the project will be closed.

Right?

How many people must die for humanity to understand that this is a dead end?

He knew the first pilots personally.

And each time it becomes harder and harder to realize that they are still people. They are a resource, even though they look like people.

Or maybe people are a resource? But Pharma is also a person. Or is he still a resource? A useful medical unit?

What happens when he exhausts himself and dies?

After all, people are so...

Fragile.

Too complicated to not go crazy. Too hard to figure out without a bottle.

The bottle ran out and fell to the floor. Pharma got another one.

He uncorked it, winced.

Pharma doesn't know how to drink. The cigarette fell to the bottom of the glass. Pharma doesn't need it anymore.

A yellow eye in the window.

Pharma mistook it for a lantern.

For the Moon.

For the reflection of a desk lamp in the glass.

And only after a long and painful reflection - for the yellow glow of the mask of the leading scientist and his boss.

- It's your fault! - Blind anger prevented him from understanding that in front of him was not Shockwave, not even a person, but something else. Not a person. Although, who cares.

Even if it was a glitch of drunken consciousness. Drinking in silence and solitude was unpleasant.

- What is it this time, Shockwave? Reports? Operations? Another idiot pilot turned into a mess during a fight? A new set of cannon fodder???

Pharma is not embarrassed by the fact that he is firmly held by a claw. In the end, it was very much in the spirit of Shockwave - to make a non-standard mech and hide it. A failed model or something else - it does not matter.

"It's still Shockwave."

When did Pharma manage to end up in the helicopter cockpit? The pilot's seat turned out to be not very spacious. The legs stick out of the raised window. Pharma was satisfied with that.

The bottle is finished.

Unlike the complaints.

i think something i wanna write at some point is a monster/human dichotomy where the true self is the human but the traits that make you human are the ones being interpreted as monstrous, by others but also by yourself. monstrousness is simple, humanness is messy and difficult, so isnt it easier just to say that youre a monster than to deal with all the thousand little complexities humanity has? rather than accepting the monster self you have to accept that maybe you're actually not as different from other people as you feel like you are and youre not the only one who feels like this.
