I hope I'm not the only one that wants to see Gummigoo in your AU 🥺
Tumblr media
Many people have asked for him !! I figured I'd deliver - I may not have expressed it much but I LOVE him he's so good I'm so glad we got to see him again !!
But yeah this would be what he looks like in my AU !! The only lore I have for him is that using her new powers, Pomni finds the Candy Canyon folder saved away and can hop into it to see Gummigoo as she pleases !!

sometimes i see cis people say "trans people will understand if you misgender them at first. i call my nephew 'her' all the time and he knows i don't mean it" no he doesnt. he probably never hangs out with you for more than ten minutes because that's how long you can last in a conversation before making him feel like shit. also he thinks you're, best case scenario, stupid for not being able to figure it out, or worst case scenario, uncaring about him and his needs. he doesn't like spending time with you. you're deluding yourself into thinking you're far kinder than you are. you're weird man.

yeah there is an issue with people hypermasculinizing black/brown people of all genders and it's not really cool.
I know I'm a trans guy and I have an androgynous voice and broad shoulders and whatever but, I like being fem and cute too, and idk. I've dealt with the hypermasculinization bs my whole life which made it harder for me to realize I was trans and express my gender.
and I hate hearing shit like, "black tboys pass so well" you are hypermasculinizing us and putting a progressive spin on it STOP 😭😭😭

To the trans people who are forced to be back home with bigoted families these holidays: please know that you are loved. The real you, not what you do to survive through time with your family. One day you will be free one day you won't have to hide who you are, and one day you can cut these people out of your life if you want. Just hold on, I promise you that you'll get through this. I love you. Stay strong.

i think the assumption that transfeminism considers closeted trans women as tme kinda misses the whole "transmisogyny affects us wether we transition or not" part of transfeminist analysis

"What are you going to do, have genital inspections to use the bathrooms?"
-a TRA
Males truly cannot conceive of the idea of simply respecting the space and boundaries of women. It literally doesn't cross their minds, so their minds immediately jump to whether or not women can forcibly stop them. The belief is that if a woman cannot forcibly prevent it, you may take anything you like from her with impunity.

Like. I'm not even an apotheosis type of guy. But you do know that makes it sound so much cooler right?

one of the more depressing things about trans subreddits is seeing just how badly people's doctors are lowballing them on HRT dosage and how frequently their doctors are fucking idiots.

the risk of misgendering trans people goes down if you just pay attention to the conscious gendered signals they give you and stop paying attention to things out of their control. like I can’t control my height, the width of my hips, the sound of my voice (at least not without significant effort and training), but I can control the clothes I wear, the jewellery I put on, how I style my hair, the way I move etc. like it does feel sisyphean to do so much work to look like a dude every day and make it as easy as possible for cis people to know I’m a guy and they still refuse to gender me properly because some bodily measurement of mine entered clocking range. like that is part of the pain of dysphoria that remains even after you’ve begun transitioning, because you consciously spend all this energy cultivating these gendered signals to make moving through the world easy and all cis society does is fixate on shit that’s out of your control. It’s the same principle when thinking about how people tend to like getting compliments more for things that they can control because it takes time and effort and energy to control those things. and like my bar for cis allyship is so low at this point after years of misgendering and seeing my friends misgendered and mistreated that someone just reading those signals properly and using the correct pronouns is impressive to me lol. the climate is so absolutely hostile to trans people that seeing that one tiny piece of effort being made is literally a relief

nonbinary transfem who exclusively uses it/its pronouns: I just think we should be able to discuss transmisogyny in the queer community and how tme people can benefit from their privilege over tma people
some tme asshole: omg that's such a binarist take, you're they're such a binary trans woman. dude.

honestly I think that the core of a lot of issues of transmisogyny and bioessentialism that you see with tme trans people exists solely because they do not want to see transfems as equally valid victims of gendered oppressions whom they have gendered power over, because doing so would require them to unlearn ideas of sex-based oppression rather than talk around them and be quiet. a lot of trans guys and nonbinary people just never grew past this, still happily talking about how they still experience misogyny due to “being a female” and never bothered trying to consider transfems in their analysis and it’s a problem. people act like they have to believe in this bullshit or pretend that they never faced misogyny or oppression growing up, and it’s a bullshit false dichotomy that only serves transmisogyny. seriously, open almost any post talking about transmasc issues and you’ll see a guy talking about himself and others as female or otherwise utilizing the language of sex based oppression, unaware or uncaring of how it implicitly erases the misogyny transfems are subject to.
a large majority of transmisogyny from tme trans people is either stemming from this frustration that they have to respect trans women’s experiences with misogyny despite lacking the female birth assignment they view as critical, or a post-hoc justification of these views, they don’t really believe trans women are men or access male power, but instead “just find it important to talk about uniquely female issues and misogyny”, which, yknow, always include things trans women also experience, but try telling that to the implications they make
