My very silly FFIV AU where they are essentially background characters in FF7R's world, that sometimes interact with our heroes.

Replaying FFIV I was like "this seems very trans" so I thought it would be cute to have wise lesbians Cecil(ia?) and Rosa who have adopted Rydia who is just a kid since timey wimey summon land isn't a thing. Cece is in a band (lead guitar), Kain is the drummer and is always like 1 minute from leaving then coming back. Then there's Edward the lead singer who plays the electric harp and cries during every single song.

I really want to properly write about transmasc cecil and all the feelings he holds for people around him someday, but right now I just can't stop thinking about how he'd view Kain. The thin limit between "desire" and "jealousy". A teenage boy/young man who can't stop looking at his best friend and he doesn't know if its because he wants him or wants to be him. Cecil cutting his hair incredibly shoer while staring at Kain who can grow them long and only look more masculine. And who is so confident and proud while Cecil can't even look at himself in a mirror and hides himself under a thick armor.

Cecil's Shadow is an indie game inspired by The Great Mouse Detective and rather loosely based on the gothic novella The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde as well as the Jekyll & Hyde musical (filled with a few nods and references to the two as well). The story follows the good-hearted Doctor Cecil Collins, his dear friend the lawyer Mr Lucious Lawlor, and the result of the doctor's experiment, Mr Harvey Hall. Things are difficult at first and Mr Hall partakes in some . . . questionable things, but in the end, Mr Hall and Dr Collins learn to live with each other, and get into a relationship with Mr Lawlor.

I keep remembering something someone said to me. I can't remember for the life of me who said it or what I said to make them say it but I remember what it was.

I think it was someone I dated for a short time in which it didn't go anywhere.

Whoever she was she said, "it's not like you're so great, you have nothing going for you. You have no potential."

It wasn't Katie. I feel like Cecile might have said something like this. I remember her saying something like, "you're about to be on disability," she alluded to me being a no body. I feel as though she said something very similar to what I wrote above. Although we were fighting and I'm sure I said something cruel.

She wasn't the only person to say it. Maybe it was my sister. Idk but it's been on my mind a lot.

Everyone judges everyone's value based on their career, and the money they make. It's sad

The comment bothers me bc not only is it very ableist it's also very dismissive of a human's whole worth.

I may not be valuable in a community as a worker, I may not make money and bring home the bacon, I may be mentally ill and "useless," by societal standards. Also it was def my sister as I write this I become aware of it.

When did peoples worth become about money. Green paper we assigned value to, a class system we created based on democracy and capitalism.

I'm just as worthy as a doctor. A janitor is just as worthy as a Dr. A McDonald's toilet cleaner is just as worthy as a dr.

Money and status and class doesn't give you value.

My father harped on the fact that working is the core of someone's identity but it isn't. Love is.

I'll love you harder than anyone else will. I'll be by your side whenever you need me. I'll listen. I'll care more than anyone else ever did.

I'm emotionally intelligent. I'm like a lion protecting her cubs if I care about you. My value isn't what I make or, "what I do for a living."

My value and everyone's value is how deeply they love. It's their character. It's their actual value system.

To reduce people to a title and a class (rich, poor) is disgusting.

We are all equal and your Job and class doesn't make you or anyone else better than anyone.

What does make you better than someone else? Your ability to see this and to love someone, anyone wholeheartedly especially when they, "have nothing to offer."

I have a lot to offer between my love, and the experiences I've lived through. I can help other trans people. I can help others with mental illness simply by relating to them. Talking to them and not getting paid for it. Simply by posting a video that reaches others.

I think of Harvey milk and how just his visablity empowered the LGBT community.

Being visible might not earn me a title or money but if I can help one other person out there that gives me worth.

Infact it wasn't just my sister and Cecile. I feel I've heard this from so many people that decided I had no worth.

I don't have money. But I have a lot of worth. A lot more than anyone who said this to me. I was cruel to Cecile I'm sure I said something awful I'm dismissing her from it but- anyone else who said it I wasn't so maliciously that I deserved it. I was young and angry when I triggered Cecile.
