Traktor S3 - 1st thoughts...

So I've purchased a Native Instruments Traktor S3, as I already use the Traktor Pro 3 Dj software & because of this software's Midi Mapping functionality I can still take a kind of "Modular" approach. So rather than pay $1900+ NZ for the S4, I got the S3 & plam to Map Sends to a Maschine Mikro.

One thing jumps out at me though - to my mind the Channel (Decks) are quite confusing at first, as I don't think "C-A-B-D" naturally it will take practice to stop reaching for the wrong pot.

Something I need to watch for myself is the tendency to brush the edge of the left jog wheel when adjusting the Filter EQ of Deck C.

I'm a bit stumped by the Kill Switch situation. Seemingly there's no option to Kill the Band, something important in 4 Deck Mixing. I'm hesitant to Map this onto another Control as a may forget whether or not a band is live or not. Although that's true of FX too & I'm mapping those parameters on another device 🤔
