Okay first because my brother wants to play this:

The Effect reads:

[When Digivolving] You may play 1 blue level 3 Digimon card or 1 Digimon Card with from [Seadramon] in its name or [Aquatic] in its traits from one of your blue Digimon's digivolution cards without paying the memory cost.

Now my focus lies on the "[Aquatic] in its traits". In Japanese it says Digimon that include [水棲] suisei in their traits, which isn't just one trait. So the English version appears to only mean the trait [Aquatic] while the Japanese one includes:

[Aquatic] [水棲型] suisei gata, [Sea Animal] [水棲哺乳類型] suisei honyūruigata, [Aquabeast] [水棲獣人型] suisei jūjingata, and [Ancient Aquabeast] [古代水棲獣人型] kodai suisei jūjingata.

Since the English translations of these traits don't include the word "Aquatic", the phrase "[Aquatic] in its traits" can be misleading.

I know some people also consider [Aquatic] or [Aqua] to be an Archetype including all the traits that contain [水棲] suisei in Japanese, but I can't seem to find an official source for that. Functionally that Archetype exists simply due to the translation issues, but this isn't apparent to most people just playing with what they see on the card.
