b/w & b2/w2 I BELIEVE IN GEN5 SUPREMACY !!! the MUSIC!!!! THE GRAPHICSSS GOD THE LIMITED 3D GRAPHICS THEYRE SO CHARMING!!!!!!! not to mention the loml N!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! god i feel so much about N. honestly the motivations of the evil team r actually so interesting and I think it makes for some of the most compelling story u see in the early pokemon games. pokemon liberation??? hello???? it's one thing to want to take over the world or like. flood the earth but to manipulate the masses and play to people's guilty conscience by insinuating that they might be Hurting pokemon by keeping them captive??? they did not have to cook so severely with that concept but i'm so glad they did. That being said I think I prefer the story of the original b/w games just because of how new and unsettling it was to encounter team plasma for the first time and all the interactions with N, but I do rly appreciate how the sequels expounded on them! colress is ok as a villain and even more ok as mad scientist twink eyecandy so I'll allow him gfsdjh I also do like that b2/w2 included more pokemon in the base games I love you early riolu i love you castelia city eevee encounter,,,. I also LOVE how they tried to pull a Trainer Red 2.0 with the postgame battle against the b/w MC in the sequels god gen5 is so GOOD :’)

Platinum i mean is anyone surprised hfdsjg sinnoh is art to me. fr all i rave about gen5 gen4 is the one I grew up with and played alongside my friend group as a kid so when it comes to the nostalgia factor, sinnoh is unmatched. The legendaries in this gen r iconic and so well designed there is not a single one that sticks out as a hard miss. sinnoh gave us cresselia and darkrai it gave us 2 forms of shaymin it gave us !!! glaceon!!!!!!!! i love u sinnoh always <3

i also have to give an honourary mention to sw/sh gdfshjgdsjk games that arguably get an even Worse rep ik but hear me out. they were my return to the pokemon games after having skipped gens 6-7 entirely and I enjoyed my playthrough SO much I genuinely had so much fun. I wasn’t too put off by the glitches or the objectively bad plot, I was just so happy to be playing pokemon again :’> ALSO I am a proud Hop defender I respect the hell out of the writers for the arc they gave him. Was it rushed and underdeveloped yes but by pokemon game standards? I honestly found Hop’s self-doubt n identity crisis super moving sue me. Also the trainer character designs r so GOOD RAIHAN CALL ME

“Crosshair, get to the ship!” Hunter ordered over the comm channel.

Τhe sniper ignored his older brother’s command and realigned his next shot up in he tree. Another droid’s head sailed off while the body hit the dirt. B1s were almost too easy at this point for him to pick off, even though Clone Force 99 had received combat clearance five months ago. It had hit the point where he and Wrecker created a competition to see who could take out the most in a standard week. Loser scrubbed down the can.

Crosshair had no intention of losing this week.

Two more shots. Two more heads.

“Get down now, Crosshair!”

“You’re not clear yet,” he argued back, peering up from the scope to see them running for him. “Hold on.”

Tech’s voice now came onto the channel. “You have done sufficient damage. Now please get down from there.”

“Ugh, you-“

Shots came firing at him now. Crosshair pulled his scope back up to see a wave of B2s flanking a tank. He positioned the barrel to get a shot right through the barrel of the tank. One shot, and then-

The tank fired first and splinters erupted below him. Crosshair tore his helmet away as the branch he was seated on suddenly gave way.

“Crosshair!” Wrecker screeched.

He must have been twenty five feet high above the fast-approaching ground. Someone was screaming. Instinctively, Crosshair closed before he hit the ground. His whole body jolted by the impact when something harder than dirt struck his side. For a moment, breathing was a forgotten bodily function.

“Crosshair!”

His mouth opened to suck in a deep breath. Instantly, pain crackled around his rib cage. Crosshair blinked his eyes open to see Hunter sprinting towards him, yelling something he didn’t comprehend.

He closed his eyes again.

“Crosshair.”

He didn’t remember falling asleep.

“Crosshair, you must respond.”

“Go,” he whined, but his chest ached when he inhaled and opened his eyes.

The first thing that struck the sniper was the interior of the Marauder, followed by the realization of laying flat upon his bunk. Hanging off the edge of the rack was his twin brother, typing rapid fire onto his datapad. Tech paused for a moment and looked back at him before reaching into one of his multiple pouches.

“There’s not rocks in there again, are there?” Crosshair attempted to joke until he saw a tube of bacta come out of the pouch.

Tech fixed him with an unimpressed expression. “Had I known those sedimentary deposits I collected for geological examination would take up so much space, I would have left most of the samples behind. That incident also occurred four months ago. Now, how are you feeling?”

“Like I went a couple rounds with that trainer who had the lip ring,” he sighed.

Tech leaned down and pulled up their well-used medical kit to take out a gauze package. “I suppose falling from such a height could be compared to combat training against Lees Bardeux. Fortunately, you only broke two ribs, cracked three others, and suffered a moderate abrasion to your temple.”

“Which you’re lucky for.”

Crosshair now realized Hunter stood right behind him, arms crossed. His face seemed to be trying to scowl, except his eyes were somewhat shiny. Seeing that was enough to make the sniper feel crappier while Tech applied the bacta and gauze to his head wound. Hunter always internalized every failure like Crosshair did, although Hunter did it with things that weren’t even his fault.

“I’m alive,” Crosshair quipped, hoping to squash Hunter’s guilt with ill humor.

Unfortunately, the scowl dropped and Hunter looked frustrated instead. “For once, can you just listen to orders?”

A reply of how that went against what their squad did was on the tip of Crosshair’s tongue. However, he found the words difficult to say out loud. Sure, he was a cold-hearted piece of shit. Hurting his brother drowning in guilt though…that would be taking it too far.

“Next time, I’ll listen the first time,” Crosshair promised, hoping it would appease his brother.

The sergeant seemed satisfied with that. Tech gave Hunter a somewhat smug look before Wrecker appeared around the corner. “You didn’t tell me he was awake!”

“Good news, Crosshair is awake,” Tech said bluntly.

Crosshair chuckled before his ribs protested again. “Kriff.”

“You should be feeling better in a few days,” his twin explained, returning his gaze to the datapad. “Unfortunately, you will need to rest and use cold packs, as well as sleep upright and perform a few breathing exercises. Fortunately, none of your vital organs have been perforated.”

“Goodie.”

“We flew outta no man’s land into that Republic-occupied area while you were out,” Wrecker explained as he started pulling the blankets from the other bunks. “Also, we ‘lost’ the comm signal after General Windu kept asking Hunter what happened.”

“Droids get it?” Crosshair asked.

“Chewed wires,” Tech corrected, a gleam in his eye. “Such a surprise for a vessel such as ours, but these things happen.”

Hunter nodded. “They scraped away enough coating before cutting them that even I can’t tell the difference.”

The sniper laughed again before remembering it hurt. “Ow.”

Hunter dropped down and brought their heads together, ruffling Crosshair’s hair. “Still, thanks for covering our asses.”

“Who else are you going to get to do the job?” Crosshair quipped back

Thinking about the "captured!Ingo vs. Emmet plus literally all of his and Ingo's pokemon" fight in the Modern Zoroark Possession AU. And. Uh.

First of all if we include all of the pokemon Ingo and Emmet use in B&W and B2&W2 plus the four pokemon you've mentioned black fox!Ingo having. That's. That would be like 17 pokemon. Which is a lot more than six. (I can absolutely see Emmet being willing to break regulations on how many pokemon can be carried at a time here tho. Especially given the circumstances. Also. He will need all the help he can get, so I vote to let him use all 17.)

Secondly. Out of all 17 of those pokemon. None have a type advantage against Ingo. Only two would have supereffective moves against him (Durant and Chandelure). And of those two, Durant is the only one Ingo wouldn't have any supereffective moves against.

If the events of the Modern Zoroark Possession AU take place after Black and White (which would make sense), then I'd guess most of the pokemon Emmet are using could arguably be in the upper 60s in terms of level. However. Ingo is level 100. So uh. Depending on his effort levels and nature he could have over 400 in special attack. Idk how natures or effort levels would work with like... an actual person though.

Steel and Dark types would work best defensively against the moves you've listed Ingo as having, but he'd have at least one effective move for each of the pokemon Emmet could possibly send out. (5/17 of Ingo and Emmet's pokemon are steel types. None are dark type.) Granted, every single one of those seventeen pokemon would have at least one effective move against Ingo. So. That's Something, at least.

So! In conclusion, that battle was definitely absolutely insane even if you completely ignore all of the closely associated angst. Ingo can probably one shot a significant chunk of his and Emmet's pokemon. Also Durant probably played a significant role in Emmet winning. Either that or Emmet carries a lot of dark type tms around and had at least some time to prepare.

Well starting off, if we're going off of Chandelure and Durant's game movesets... they would not have any super-effective moves to use against Ingo. Hisuian Zoroark are normal/ghost, which means they're completely immune to ghost type moves! (As well as fighting and normal type moves.) In fact, the only moves that deal super-effective damage against one are dark type moves... which none of Ingo and Emmet's combined group of Pokemon have on their game movesets. Oops!

But yeah- suffice to say, it's one rough battle! On one hand, at least he's not getting the frenzy power boost that he would in the mainline zoroark possession AU... but on the other hand, that battle has three different trainers engaging with it (Emmet, Elesa, and Akari). Here there's just Emmet!

It's one hell of a battle. Emmet likes to joke afterwards that the real reason Ingo is no longer a Subway Boss after things have settled isn't because he was removed from his position by a court of law... but because Emmet banned his broken ass from the Subway. Legandaries and Ingos banned. Those are the rules, yup!

- Cold, silent and collected when in the frontline, Soap got a liking to Ghost at first because he reminded him of her. Down to the stupid deadpan jokes.

- Met Soap in boot camp, they were fast friends/brother-sister because both their brains work alike (lightning speed). She admires Soap’s proficiency with things that go BOOM, and considers him to be wicked smart, she can’t calculate that fast to save her life

- She adores Ghost’s jokes, and enjoys greatly to hear Soap squirm with them

- Despises tea, calling it ‘pissy water’ (her mother loved it though), prefers water, juice or coffee

- Rarely drinks alcohol

- Sings in the shower and used to like going to karaoke bars

- Gets mouthy the more physically hurt she is. If she’s getting mouthy, flirty and cheeky, she’s bleeding heavily. Soap is thankful Ghost is not like that

- Her call sign Riot is NOT because she’s a riot (well she is), the story is even better. It involves a SAS rookie op in Turkey, staging a riot in a prison, breaking Soap out of the prison’s infirmary and a stunt leaping from a roof Soap still has nightmares about.

- She has a fucked up knee since then (and will keep fucking it up more, you’ll see)

- Likes very spicy food but can’t have cilantro: tastes and smells like trash to her (she has that gene, yeah)

- Has PTSD from the op in Transnistria, has flashbacks and breakdowns sometimes, but is determined to keep going. Price is surprised/pleased to learn that she goes to therapy weekly, instead of the mandatory once a month (he had to drag Soap and Ghost to go even once a month, specially after Las Almas which is why Price has deemed it necessary; Gaz goes bi-weekly)

- Got licensed as a drone pilot after a bad op with her previous unit, HeadHunters, where she was on medical leave for three months. She was bored out of her mind not doing anything, so she signed up for a course.

- Hates her last Captain with the passion of a burning sun, dreaming of putting a bullet to his skull. Price understands and approves (he despises him too), just warned her to not be caught if they happen to cross him (he has an alibi prepared).

I kinda lost my hyperfixation on this series and I made this edit to hopefully come back to it? Fingers crossed that it works!

One of my ideal Pokemon games would be a game that's a combination of Pokemon Masters EX, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Pokemon Stadium (and Stadium 2), the Pokemon World Tournament in B2 and W2 and Pokemon Showdown.

Basically have a Pokemon game where you can make any Pokemon team you want like what Pokemon Showdown does, be able to battle with or as the gym leaders, elite 4 members, champions, kahunas and other trainers like in Pokemon Masters EX and the PWT in Black 2 and White 2. Maybe also have some minigames like Stadium 1 and 2 had so there's some variety.

Have stadiums you can choose from that are in different locations in all the existing regions in Pokemon. Have an announcer like in Pokemon Battle Revolution so it's more epic (also have the option to choose announcers or to turn the announcer off), also online...although that's a huge obvious one. Also be able to make your own trainer too with their own name and what they say before, during and after the battle like in Pokemon Battle Revolution and all the battlers that are in the game having their own custom lines as well.
