I'm gonna post this hopefully quickly and then go make bracelets to distract myself bc I wanna get it out but not have to come back to it later . And I will be whining about this on main a lot so I might as well give yall some context first
#i got soft fired.#they said it was bc summertime is slow and they dont have the hours for me#but they also said smth about my 3 month evaluation ? which i was not involved in but i felt like it implied something about my performance#but they didn't say it was about my performance not being good enough#and they also didn't say its just bc of the hours but you're a good employee so don't worry about that#they said they still might call me at some point if they have hours for me again#the words fired and let you go were not used#but. i stg they just hired a new froster. idk for sure but i thought they did#and one of the cashiers (the girl i know actually 😐) said she might get trained in frosting this summer#even tho by company policy youre not supposed to work in the kitchen if youre under 18. shes 16#but there was no warning or critiques or anything#there was when i first started#but not for a long time now#the manager gave me one note like 2 or 3 weeks ago and not since and that was the first time in a while#i had a panic attack when i got home#idk what im gonna do and idk what to think or feel about it rn#i just . yea#thats whats going on in my life lol anyway

I like the rebranding I think the old logo needed updating and the new one is more dynamic. And I like that the GP kinda looks like a circuit
#motogp#I’m not calling it MGP#that’s a very obvious let’s follow f1 path#but I think that they need a way to condense motogp for smaller sized icons like for socials and stuff#so I get why they’ve done that#I don’t think it’s boring and the way they’ve animated the text is very cool and I can see it looking for smooth for the broadcast#I also think it’s LEAGUES above the f1 logo which is borderline ineligible#why do people always hate on shit blindly I think it’s so unfair and opposing of change#maybe this is too nice of me but do yall not get that there’s swarms of people and designers and creative minds that go into rebranding#it’s not entirely just corporate buisness money grabs#I hate the hate trains on anything new because there’s so many dedicated people behind the scenes who put a lot of work into that#and the companies they’re hired by are now gonna see them getting raked through the mud#when the criticism is barely that deep and it’s just internet people being loud for the sake of it#except the knock on effect is that those artists get discredited for their honest work#it’s just unfair when 80% of people are barely even series#they’re just jumping on the bandwagon#whatever I’m going to sleep

#my bro got himself a job at some idk tech startup that works w u.s. moving companies and theyre still hiring so im thinking like#what the hell ill give it a shot id have to get training first anyways so if i dont like it ill just say 'this isnt for me buh bye'#and i mean. i could always quit after a few months etc. but uni?? im quitting that shit for good i am NOT coming back...#ill just wait till october and then just. not enroll for the next year..#which also gives me time to use the lovely student benefits (health insurance) before i drop out...#ive been putting off making those appointments so like. best to take advantage of it while i still can#and also the plan is to take a graphic design course or sth so i can have at least an online certificate or sth for employability#so if all else fails im going into graphic design and illustration NOT CLICKBAIT. hopefully some ppl i know could even get me into somewher#hashtag networking pays off#piksla.txt

i think my interview this morning went well!!
#im not trying to speculate on whether or not i think i have the job#but i feel good about how the interview went#i am getting anxious about money again though#and this interview happened during one of the company-wide training days for the second job i just started#bc the first job is uh. i will have had one (1) shift for the entire second pay period of this month#so that one is very much a supplementary 'fill in when needed and wanted' kind of position#but unfortunately i have a conference during ANOTHER training day for the more stable job next weekend.#and i just feel like im somehow showing them that im unreliable?? and that then they will not want to schedule me??#idfk thats the fear talking. practically speaking if they didnt want me they wouldnt hire me. the store manager and the dm both#said that it's not a big deal so i will do my best to trust them#hhhhhh i have a tour booked for an apartment next tuesday afternoon and i hope . ?? i can wiggle my way in to another training sesh next we#idk if thats something i can request or try to suggest w my store manager or if i have to wait on him to get to me about it#but i will find out on monday when theres the next session that i can make#blah blah blah

Had the most. Specific dream
#Late 1800s maybe early 1900s#two brothers. the older brother inherited a large company from their parents and is very wealthy#and he loves his younger brother very much. his younger brother is an absolute madlad though and LOVES model trains#and full size trains too ig. the younger brother somehow gets into some kind of train accident and loses function in one arm and#part of the function of one leg#years later and the health of the younger brother is further declining#so he and his brother go on a great train trip#while on the train (the older brother is struggling to properly care for the younger) they meet a woman#she is incredibly graceful and it turns out that she always wanted to be a ballerina#but she couldn’t make it in the big city#so instead she works as a sort of valet for older women who travel#taking the train from city to city and helping them load and unload off the train and navigate it safely#the younger brother asks to hire her help for the duration of their trip. she accepts and is so taken with the younger brother#that she offers to stay with the brothers full time to care for the younger brother#she is beautiful and refined and kind and the older brother immediately realizes that he could love her#but she shares more in common with the younger brother. they both have great passions in life and they can help each other achieve them#(she can help him travel and he can employ her while she trains to work in the ballet)#and they fall in love. and the older brother is too good of a man to interfere in his brother’s relationship and confess his feelings#so he lives on in silence#the end#I woke up crying. wow wtf#I have never had a dream both so coherent and so emotionally moving#I’m going to go chew glass about the blorbos that literally live in my mind ig#older brother ilysm#is this like. a sign? should I write a short story or smth about the brothers?#like. it literally came to me in a dream#wow y’all the older brother loved his younger brother so much 😭😭😭 he would give up anything just to give his brother a comfortable life#where he could buy model trains and ride real trains and fall in love with train valets. augh ahddgkdls

every day that goes by it feels more and more likely that I'll get this promotion and I can't believe I'm at a place in my life where that's even a possibility. like last year I had just the absolute worst time with employment and just had a horrible year in general but I feel like I got so lucky finding this job. except they felt lucky to find ME. like the hiring manager told me she was so happy to have multiple candidates and that I was easily the best out of the group (she's had to hire people out of desperation/only having one candidate before and they never worked out bc they weren't good fits at all) and my confidence has skyrocketed since I started working there because my boss and coworkers treat me like an equal even though I'm young and relatively inexperienced. they treat me like they believe I'm capable and competent and it makes me feel capable and competent and it's incredible. the idea that I could be getting a promotion for the first time in my life after only 3 months at this place is insane but I'm so hopeful because nobody acts like it's a far-fetched idea. I'm taken seriously and it gave me the confidence I needed to actually say that I'm interested in that promotion and that I know I'm capable of doing that position. plus the company itself is great honestly, I feel really lucky to work there. even as a part time employee at the lowest level I feel genuinely important and appreciated. I've already met the person who would be my boss if I get promoted and she seems just as respectful as everyone else. are all employee-owned companies like this???
#I even earn commissions on top of my regular pay too like. and I'm allowed to accept tips which you'd be surprised how often that happens#way more frequent than I would've guessed#anyway I might have a post soon that's actually celebrating instead of just rambling about the possibilities#or I might have once about how they hired someone new. it wouldn't really make sense for them to do that but whatever#even if they do there's every likelihood that the new person quits after a month or two and I have the opinion#opportunity* again#I can see them deciding to hire someone with more experience in management. but if they went with me they wouldn't have to hire anyone new#and they also wouldn't have to cut anyone's hours#speaking of which! they were planning to cut my coworker's hours before the new manager quit#like. they were gonna cut the more experienced guy's hours instead of mine??? we both open a lot but they'd rather have me there than him??#which is insane honestly like they totally could've just invented a reason to fire me if they wanted to lay me off and not pay unemployment#so I'm more desirable than him??? which is crazy bc he's good at the job#but yeah if they promoted me then he could keep his hours and they wouldn't need to replace my position at all really#it would all balance out really nicely and probably save the company a lot of money honestly. bc I'd take way less time to train#obviously I can already do register and all the other parts of my job. but I also have a good foundation for the manager's duties too#bc I paid attention when the last manager was being trained. plus I've been trained on a manager thing already which is cool#so yeah I'm just. hopeful. it makes the most sense for them to promote me. but I'm not gonna celebrate prematurely#I won't be devastated if it doesn't happen but it would be the best outcome#plus it would kind of turn 2025 into the year of the promotion for my family lol. my dad is expecting to get promoted in the next few months#his boss just got approved for a home loan so he and his wife are gonna be closing on a house in less than 30 days#and it's in his boss's contract that he has to live on-site so he won't be staying unless he can negotiate a contract change. not that he#wants to stay anyway. he's been trying to find a different job for a while now and doesn't want to still be there for the summer season#so my dad would get promoted to that job which not only would be a huge pay increase plus a move from hourly to salaried#but he'd also get free housing as part of the job! so his expenses will go way down and income way up#the extra duties aren't that much either. he'd just be taking on the administrative duties on top of what he already does#plus being on-call (which is why he'd live on-site) but that really only makes a difference for like 3 months of the year lol#he'd be like doubling his income#which actually. wow if we both got promoted our household would suddenly have a 6-figure annual income. what the hell#I can't even imagine that. wow#wow this tag said something else but I reached tag limit lmao. if you read all that hiiiii let's be friends <3
