Fest Rules
What is this fest about?
The Carry On AU Fest is a prompt based fest that celebrates any kind of Alternate Universe or canon divergent creation in the CO fandom. We accept any pairings or gen fics and art.
Who can participate?
You must be at least 18 years old at the time of signing up.
We expect you to treat everyone taking part, including the mods, with respect.
All work must be your own, and we do not allow any kind of fic or art produced with AI.
You may register as both a writer and an artist, and you can claim multiple prompts as long as you have completed the first one you claimed first.
How does prompting work?
On 5th October we are going to open prompting via Airtable. You can submit as many prompts as you like, and you don't have to claim anything unless you want to. You don’t have to create for the fest to submit a prompt. You can prompt anonymously or write your AO3/Tumblr username (in which case people can gift you their works if they wish to).
How does claiming work?
On 19th October we are going to open claiming via a Google form. You can claim your own prompt or claim someone else's. Alternatively, you can self-prompt by picking the first prompt on the list.
Prompts are assigned on a first come first serve basis. The prompts will be available to be claimed once for fic and once for art. Collaborations are welcome.
If you decide to gift your work to the person who prompted it, please make sure that you stick to the preferences they have expressed and that you don't include their squicks.
What are the requirements for writers?
Writers will need to write an original fic with a minimum length of 1k.
The fic needs to be an unpublished fic and it needs to be posted on our fest collection on AO3. Your story doesn't need to be complete by the submission date, but we ask that you post at least 1k by the submission deadline and wait until the end of the fest to post the rest.
You can share small snippets and talk about your story on social media platforms.
Should you need an extension, please let us know as soon as you can.
We will reveal one work per day from 8th February.
What are the requirements for artists?
You can create a variety of original fan work, such as:
- illustrations, both digital and traditional (they don’t need to be in colour)
- moodboards (at least 6 elements)
- plastic arts (including embroidery and origami)
- playlists (a minimum of 10 songs)
- fic binding
- podfic (please make sure that you have the permission of the author of the fic you're recording a podfic of before starting)
You can post your work either on AO3 or on Tumblr (please get in touch and let us know if you prefer the second option).
What kind of rating is allowed?
Any rating is allowed for both art and fic, but please tag your work appropriately.
If your work is rated Mature or Explicit, the characters involved must be at least 18 years old.
We recommend that you use a beta reader.
What is the schedule for posting?
You can find the most up to date schedule here.
Please get in touch with the mods if you need an extension.
I still have a lot of questions about this, how can I contact you?
Send us an ask, a DM or contact us at and we will gladly answer.
The mods for this fest are @orange-peony, @pato-roldnart and @bubble-gumhead.

#SeiSubTanabataFest is a fest ship event organized for Sakurazuka Seishirou and Sumeragi Subaru. Pick whichever version of CLAMP works you feel like creating something for with SeiSub (Tokyo Babylon, X/1999, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, etc.).
It is in celebration of the coming Tanabata (July 7th in Japan). Each day features prompts relating to traditions or imagery commonly associated with Tanabata. It will run from 7 July to 13 July 2024.
It marks the halfway point (138 days) in between Seishirou’s birthday (November 22nd) and Subaru’s birthday (February 19th). This indicates their relationship as star-crossed lovers, which makes their relationship on Tanabata all the more intriguing.
Everyone is allowed to participate!

FAQ
How do I participate?
Create something in line with the themes above and just tag #SeiSubTanabataFest! We also have a SeiSub Tanabata Fest Ao3 collection available for you to post to. Fic, art, podfics, webcomics, moodboards, etc.—it’s all welcome!
As we will be retweeting and reblogging posts for the weekly fest, please make sure to check our socials to support all the participants!
Twitter (@SeiSubTanabata)
Tumblr (@SeiSubTanabataFest)
The AO3 collection is here:
Can I use a work I’ve already started?
Yes, if it fits the theme of the day you are posting on and the work has not been published yet.
Do I have to include all the prompts listed for the day into my work?
That isn’t necessary. The prompts are merely suggestions.
Can I include other prompts not included in prompts for the day?
Of course! Again, the prompts are merely suggestions. As long as your work follows at least one prompt for the day, you can submit it.
Do I have to participate every day?
No, that is not necessary.
What if my work incorporates prompts from 2 different days?
You can choose to post it on any of the 2 days, e.g. if you write a fic of characters being soulmates and stars, you can choose to post it on either day 1 or day 2.
Can I submit a late entry?
If you’re posting while the event is running (between 7 July and 13 July 2023), we are fine with that. However, if you can’t make that day, we will accept late entries. Keep in mind you will be posting outside the original posting period, but you can post whenever you can post afterwards.
Are there any content restrictions?
No, we do not believe in restricting problematic fictional content. As long as it’s properly tagged, we accept content of all ratings and themes.
Are there minimum requirements for works?
No. Do whatever you want as long as you create a work for the event. It can be any length or amount of effort you want to put in.
What does "FREE DAY - choose your own prompt" mean on Day 3?
You can choose a prompt that is not on our prompt list to use. This day has the most flexibility for the idea you want to create.

Below the cut are some FAQs about the bang. Please feel free to shoot any other questions our way!
Friendly reminder that sign-ups are now open! You can join us here!
Your DMs for this grand adventure, The Eddie Munson Big Bang Mods
INFO | RULES | SCHEDULE | ASK | MEET THE MODS
Q: What is a Big Bang?
A: A big bang is an event where authors and artists collaborate with one another. The way it works is that people sign up to be an author and/or an artist. Then we have the artists pick their favorite fic summary piece and we pair them with the proper authors. The team works together to create an art for the fic it’s inspired by.
Q: What kind of art can I create to participate in this bang as an artist?
A: Accepted mediums include, but are not limited to: - Traditional Art/Digital Art - Manipulations - Playlists/Fanmixes (15+ songs with a cover) - Moodboards - Textile crafts (knitting, crochet, needlepoint, etc) - Recipes - Covers/Banners - Photosets If you have an idea that is not on this list please send us an ask or email at [email protected]
Q: Is AI Artwork allowed?
A: No. AI Artwork is not allowed as part of this event.
Q: Are there specific characters that I need to include in my fic in order to be eligible to submit it for the bang? A: So long as the fic has a main focus on Eddie Munson, it is welcome to be part of the event!
Q: I have an fic that I created a while back that I am really proud of, can I submit it to this event? A: We ask that all fic is new and specific to the event. That said, if there is unpublished fic that you have created previously, you can submit it, given it has not been posted publicly in the past.
Q: How long do stories need to be in order to be eligible for the bang? A: We are only asking that stories be a minimum of 15k words. There is no maximum word count.
Q: What is a beta reader? A: Betas are people who will read a story and give constructive feedback to the author before they post. Most betas specialize in certain things, like SPAG (grammar), characterization, emotional flow, alpha readers (those who read to make sure it all works, mostly plot-conscious) research, or pickers. Pickers are people who are experts in particular fields (ex. Medical pickers could be those who have been in medical school and can help you create a realistic scene or offer advice in that department).
Q: Do stories need to be beta read? A: No, but they are strongly encouraged. You are welcome to use your own beta or reach out to someone in the bang.
Q: What is a pinch hitter? A: Pinch Hitters are artists who step in when someone has to drop out. There are a lot of unknown variables in a big bang, especially with the lengthy schedule. It’s hard to plan ahead when you’re not sure what your workload will be, which makes it hard to stay in the bang. Artists sometimes can’t keep their initial workload and would have to drop out of the bang. It happens. That’s where pinch hitters come in, to take over the abandoned fic.
Q: Does my fic have to be completed prior to claims? A: We ask that fic be at least 5,000 words long prior to your submission for claims.
Q: When do sign-ups start? A: All sign ups are open now!

The works must be original to the fest and created by you. They can be part of an existing universe, but must be understandable as stand-alone.
Posting Please post your works to the AO3 collection and add the mod account (Severitus_Big_Bang_Mods) as co-creator. We will not change your work in any form, we just want to make sure it is appropriately tagged and rated and we can change the publication-date according to the posting-schedule. After reveals, we will delete the mod account from your works.
We want this to be a respectful and safe space. So the following general (fandom) rules apply:
Be respectful, no bullying, no harassment, …
No character or ship shaming/bashing, SALS - ship and let ship
Works created in this event must NOT feature characters under 18 in sexually explicit scenarios
Like most other fandoms, Harry Potter as a canon/fanon/fandom grapples with various issues, including but not limited to transphobia/transmisia, racism and other forms of discrimination. When creating fanworks, it can be helpful to keep various resources in mind, as well as doing additional research. Writing with Color’s Stereotypes & Tropes Navigation is one way to begin examining racism in fanworks creation - please especially refer to the colour stereotype post in regards to the term "Black / Dark Magic" which is deeply rooted in racism. Magical Trans is a community for transgender individuals in the Harry Potter fandom. If you have resources you’ve found helpful and would like to share, please let us know. (We trust this caution isn’t necessary, but if you don’t agree with the linked resources, please do not contact them with negative comments.) (Thank you to @bluedreaming for drawing our attention to this issue, and for allowing us to use their stipulations.)

What is Severitus?
For the sake of this fest, Severitus is every form of fanwork where Severus Snape and Harry Potter have a non-sexual / non-romanticrelationship.
Severus’ and Harry’s gender don’t have to be male. We welcome any female/non-binary/trans or other queer characters, and characters of any race, and of any other identity, in our works.
Please note that it is our foremost goal to create a chill fest and good experience for everybody participating. That means we need to create a safe space for Severitus shippers and as such, we cannot allow any works that even wander the line to being read as sexual or romantic in the sense of “Snarry”.
Severitus includes the following:
Snape as Harry’s father/father figure (biological, adopted, stepfather, uncle, godparent)
Snape being Harry’s mentor (Professor, Master in apprenticeship setting, friendly neighbour, you name it)
Severus and Harry being siblings
Severus and Harry being platonic friends
Reverse Severitus: Harry being Severus’ parent/uncle, mentor…
For more information you can also look through our prompt ideas which you can find on our tumblr.
How does this Big Bang and Reverse Big Bang work in general?
The Severitus Big Bang is a fanworks fest centred around Severitus and Reverse Severitus works.
Creators pitch their ideas of any form to other creators to work on them together and create two or more intertwined fanworks of different kinds/media.
The spirit of this fest is to connect creators and encourage each other's creativity to collaborate and celebrate Severitus together. If you don’t feel comfortable collaborating with others, it is technically possible to sign up as a “solo team” and create multiple projects for the same idea on your own; however we hope (and we give our best) to create a safe atmosphere without pressure or negativity for our teams to flourish.
Creators can sign up (pitch, claim, or both) to create works, which, ideally, should be ready by the submission date. (See: [What happens if I have to opt out]). After submission, we plan to reveal the works in a staggered reveal (ideally, we will get new Severitus content every day in June). All the works will be part of the Severitus Big Bang 2024 AO3 collection.
For more information please read the following FAQs.
How can I participate?
This bang is more formalised than just posting within the given time frame.
To participate, creators should sign up and can either pitch, claim, or both to create works.
You are allowed to pitch and/or claim as many works as you feel you can manage in the creation time span.
1. Pitching Pitching means you offer up an idea of yours for other creators to claim later on so that you can create fanworks in collaboration. This is the perfect opportunity to get ideas/prompts that have been on your mind for a long time, but you didn’t have enough time or creativity to work on, out there so that others can share in your joy.
Please note that a pitch is more than just a one-line prompt; the requirements will be finalised and posted closer to Jan 1st.
If you ask yourself why all the effort: it is the mods' attempt to formalise the process of presenting your idea for collaborating with other creators so that you needn't know your collaborators' identities to have a high likelihood to create something you both / all like. The process consists of a Google Form.
All is explained in a great more detail here.
2. Claiming Later on, creators can claim any of the given pitches that request collaborators.
There will be three rounds of claiming. To ensure that we have the best possible overlap with our creators' needs and wishes, we (the mod team) will work out the best fitting teams, and as many matches as possible, after each round of the claiming period. After matching, any open or partly-open pitches will be opened for claiming again. We hope that all pitches will be claimed after the third round; the unclaimed ones will be open for pinch hitting and will receive at least a little something from the mods.
For more details about Ho-To-Claim, please refer to this document.
You will then be notified about your claim and how to proceed.
You then have a period to create. Let your creativity strike, discuss your ideas and works with your co-creator(s) and simply do what you do best. Ideally you have your work ready by the submission date. (See: [Important Dates]) After submission, we plan to reveal the works in a staggered reveal (ideally we will get new Severitus content in June).
What types of works am I allowed to create?
You can create any type of fanwork associated with the pitch you claimed.
Here is a list of possible types of media:
Written works such as fanfiction, poetry
Traditional or digital art, crafts
Comics, manga
Spoken audio work such as podfic, podcast, audio play
Music (both original music and song parodies)
Fanvid
Playlist
Moodboard
Original dance
Fanbinding
Recipes
…
For further inspiration and clarification especially for the term "art" please refer to this extensive list: https://unconventionalfanworkex.dreamwidth.org/14316.html.
If you are unsure if the work you want to create will fit the parameters of this fest, please feel free to contact a mod; in these cases, we also advise you to check in with your fellow team member(s)
I have no way to access to the pitching / claiming form in the given time frame, but I still want to pitch / claim! How do I do that?
If you know you won’t be able to pitch / claim during the according period, please contact us and we will send you the pitching or claiming form in advance so you can participate.
For reasons of fairness, please let us know when you will need the form by so that we can pre-release the forms to all participants at the same time.
Pitching or claiming early will not influence your likelihood of being paired with your first choice(s).
Do I have to pitch to claim?
No. You can pitch and not claim or claim and not pitch or do both, it is up to you. However, we hope to receive a lot of pitches and claims to make this fest work, so it is super, duper awesome if you can do both.
Can I create works based off of already existing fanworks?
For your own pre-existing universes, yes, as long as the Big Bang work(s) are newly published and understandable as stand-alone! If at all possible, we would like to ask for your pitch to stay anonymous until claiming ends.
You can use an already existing fanwork as your pitch if you have permission to create secondary/derivative fanworks by the original author/creator. Please note that we (the mods) can not grant you this permission and can also not monitor if every pitch meets this stipulation.
If you as a creator want to give permission for others to use your works as such, maybe add a fanworks permission statement / transformative works policy to your profile. You can find a statement builder here or check the mods' profiles for inspiration.
When will this happen? Important Dates:
Pitching starts: Jan 1st 2024
Pitching closes: Jan 28th
Claiming opens: Feb 3rd (Round 1)
Claiming closes: Feb 17th (Round 3), or earlier if all pitches are claimed to the max
Icebreakers (Check-in 1): Feb 18th
Check-in 2: Mar 3rd
Check-in 3: Mar 31st
Check-in 4: April 28th
Works due: May 17th
Posting begins: June 1st
What happens if I can’t make a deadline/have to opt out?
Of course, we hope that every one of you will be able to make the submission date, but as we all know: Real life happens.
If you realise you won’t be able to make the deadline, please contact us early so we know and can plan accordingly. It is completely okay if you have to ask for an extension or drop your claim. We want this to be as accessible and chill as we can make it.
Just please inform us because we (the mods) have to plan the posting schedule.
How will the teams be formed?
You can either sign up as a pre-formed team with your fandom BFFs (with or without the option of pitching for more team members/claiming as team for a pitch), or the mods will assign you your team member(s) based on who responds to your pitch/which pitches you claim.
We encourage you to be open to other creators and share the spirit of this fest.
I would like to be paired with [XYZ, a specific person]. How do I let you know?
If you want to be paired with XYZ, the best way to make sure is to sign up (pitch or claim) as a preformed team with yourself and them.
If you pitch your work on your own, we cannot say in advance who you will be paired with until the claims come in at the beginning of February and we can not guarantee that we will assign XYZ as your (only) claimer, because we will have to take all the claims into account.
We will also not reveal the pitchers and claimers to each other until the teams have been decided, and will not reveal the final teams until publication of their works. (So only the teammates themselves know who works together with them until the reveals.)
I'm not quite comfortable working with others. Can I still participate?
If you don’t feel comfortable collaborating with others, it is technically possible to sign up as a “solo team” and create multiple projects for the same idea on your own; however we hope (and we give our best) to create a safe atmosphere without pressure or negativity for our teams to flourish.
What happens if I don’t get along with my team members?
In your claiming form we ask you to give us your Do Not Wants. We try to match the team members to the best of our ability, taking those Do Not Wants into account, and hope that you will get along fine.
If, despite all this, you notice that you can under no circumstances continue to work together with your teammate(s), please contact the mods. We do not want to force you to work together with someone you can absolutely not stand and we will then find a solution if this might happen.
However, we want to encourage you to be open-minded and give others the benefit of the doubt. We hope to create a fun experience for everybody.
Why are there mandatory check-ins?
We plan to do four mandatory check-ins with you (our participants) to ensure that everything is alright and you are still participating in this fest.
This has several reasons, foremost to make planning for us easier and to ensure that we can help out if that is needed.
Please note that we don’t want you to feel pressured or patronised. It is completely okay if you just answer “I’m still here.” and tick the box in the relevant google form for those mandatory check-ins. You don’t need to report your work progress to the mods; however, we do recommend using these dates to check in and report to your team (yes, we know, some of us are procrastinators).
We hope to simply offer guidance and act as a reminder, as life can get busy sometimes.
What happens if I miss a mandatory check-in?
You will have one week to respond to each mandatory check-in. If you missed it, the mod team will reach out to you. Just shoot us a quick response and you are fine.
If one more week passes without response, we will have to assume that you dropped out.
If you already know in advance that those just happen to be the two weeks where you are away without internet access, that's fine. Just let us and your collaborator(s) know in advance and we'll mark you as checked in.
This is totally different from what I know from other Big Bangs. Why?
Things evolve and for this, Serena wanted to make the concept of Big Bang more versatile and therefore adjusted it to what she (we!) thought would fit this fest best.
The goal was to allow as many different types of media as possible, as well as allow the claiming of as many different works/ideas as one wants. Therefore we allow any type or art, artists can claim artists and so on.
For this fest, the working together and connecting aspect is the focus (and we are of course rewarded with tons of wonderful works). We like to think that connection spikes creativity and helps us to create our own fandom safe space in which we can thrive.
We also want to make this as chill as possible to take away pressure - which is why we set the minimum word count for fics as low as 2,500 words.
What is pinch-hitting?
Pinch-hitters are people who volunteer to take on an extra pitch later on if somebody has to opt out and drop their claim.
Can I claim after the deadline if I finish with my first project earlier and want to take on a second pitch?
If there are projects looking for pinch-hitters, yes, absolutely. Please feel free to contact a mod if you finish early and want to take on a second pitch.
How do I post my work?
Please add your works to the Severitus Big Bang 2024 AO3 collection (spelled Severitus_Big_Bang_2024) and add the mod account (Severitus_Big_Bang_Mods) as co-creator.
We will approve your work for the collection and use the mod account to change the publication date accordingly to our posting schedule.
Please note that you have to actually post the work to the collection, keeping it as a draft does not suffice. It will not be visible to the general public until one of the mods reveals this work, so don’t fear to do something wrong, and don't hesitate to make changes even after posting to the collection.
I have never posted a work to AO3 - How do I do it?
AO3 has a tutorial on how to post a work, see below. If you have further questions or need further help feel free to contact the mod team.
https://archiveofourown.org/faq/tutorial-posting-a-work-on-ao3?language_id=en
https://archiveofourown.org/faq?language_id=en
Posting images: AO3 does not host images, you can only embed them using a link. You have to host them on another site. Here's the how-to: https://archiveofourown.org/faq/posting-and-editing?language_id=en#embedimage
Posting audio: AO3 does not host audio, but you can embed them in a stream or a download variant. For a list of audio hosting end embed options, check out GodOfLaundryBaskets' Breakdown of Podfic Hosting Options: https://archiveofourown.org/works/27240112
I do not want to open an AO3 account / do not want the contents of this fest to be associated with my AO3 account. Is there still a way for me to participate?
We want to give everybody a chance to participate, so please contact us if you won’t be able to post on AO3.
We can post your work from the official Mod Account and then link to the site you posted it to, as well as create an external bookmark for it.
Please note that even if we post it in your stead (posting it from the mod account) the work will be uploaded on AO3.
Can I post my work to other sites besides AO3?
Yes, you can (and are encouraged to) cross-post whatever you want to whichever site you like. We just ask you to wait with crossposting until after your reveals in the official Severitus Bang AO3 collection!
Can I add my work to other fests or collections?
Yes, you can. After reveals, you are free to do with your work as you please, for example add the works to any collection you like.
Additionally, while waiting for reveals, you are allowed to co-submit to fests and events that have no unrevealed period (e.g. @hp-flowers, free submissions phase of HP Poetry, @voiceteam, May ficlet challenge, many bingos, etc.). Please note that your work will not be accessible in those collections until after reveals.
I really want to participate, but I don't have any ideas currently! Is there a prompt list?
There is not the usual prompt list, but we have made this list of typical Severitus themes/prompts and starting points. We hope this helps to start off your creativity.

All Valley Skills Challenge FAQ's
What is it? The All Valley Skills Challenge is a monthly event designed to encourage all forms of creativity within the TKK/CK fandom.
How does it work?
Each month, we will select a theme and post 3 correlating moodboards, which will serve as visual prompts. Choose the one that inspires you the most - or choose them all! - and get creating! Whether it's writing, art, or other forms of media, the goal is to inspire creativity and community participation, in all its many and varied forms. What's the time frame? The theme and moodboards will be shared on the first day of each month. You will then have the entire month to complete your creation(s). If you wish for us to share your work, please make sure you have submitted a post by noon, CST, on the second to last day of the month. This should give mods enough time to reblog any submissions before the start of the next prompt. We will schedule deadline reminder posts for each month and include the deadline in the moodboard posts. We reserve the right to make adjustments to the schedules depending on the amount of submissions, we will post updates whenever any changes have been made. Be sure tag us so we can reblog it here. How do I tag you?
@allvalleyskillschallenge and #allvalleyskillschallenge Sometimes, things slip through the cracks on this hellsite, and sometimes life just gets in the way. If we somehow missed your post, please feel free to shoot us a politely worded message and one of our mods will take care of it as soon as possible.
What kind of fan works are allowed?
This is a skills challenge, so it's time to step onto the mats and show us what you've got! Our goal is to showcase all forms of talent and creativity in our badass little fandom, including but not limited to:
Fanfiction
Fan Art (Digital or Traditional)
Comics
Meta
Edits
Playlists
Moodboards
Mixed Media/Arts and Crafts
If you have any questions about the eligibility of your submission, please feel free to message us and one of the mods will be happy to clear things up.
Does it have to be CK/TKK specific?
Generally speaking, yes. We ask that all works be connected to TKK/CK in some way. Any TKK/CK character, whether major or minor, is fair game. AUs, crossovers, and actor RPF are also welcome.
What pairings are allowed?
All pairings either directly or tangentially related to the TKK/CK universe are accepted. This means that if you wish to include a character from a The Karate Kid or Cobra Kai actor's other projects (i.e. Shootfighter, Naked in New York, Blue Beetle), we'll accept those works as well.
To make things easier on our mods, please make sure to tag all pairings accordingly. Include the names of the characters, the actors and the shows/movies they originate from.
What ratings and types of content are allowed?
Works of all ratings are allowed for this challenge, as are works that contain sensitive content, provided they do not violate Tumblr’s Terms of Service. But please be courteous and tag your works appropriately.
Please note that the mods reserve the right not to share or promote works that ignore these guidelines.
What about NSFW Art?
We recommend that any uncensored NSFW Art be posted to ao3. Please be advised that if you are sharing explicit art directly to tumblr, it should cropped/censored to abide by the community guidelines. We have also created an ao3 collection for your submissions. If you would like to add your fanworks to this collection, you can find the link here.
How should I format my submission?
Along with your submission itself, please state which prompt(s) inspired your work, the rating, the main characters/pairings included, and any valid content warnings.
If you do not wish to use warnings, please place your content under a Read More link.
To keep things neat, we also ask that any writing longer than a few paragraphs be posted under a Read More, along with all NSFW content.
If your work is hosted on another site outside of Tumblr (such as ao3), please provide us with a working link, along with a brief summary. Is there a word count minimum for written submissions? Or a maximum?
The minimum for a written submission is 100 words (or haiku length for poetry). There is no maximum. From drabbles to epics to in-depth meta, feel free to write as much (or as little) as you want. Just keep in mind that your work must be submitted before the end of the month in order for us to reblog it. Can I submit more than one thing?
Yes, absolutely! Our goal is to inspire you to create!
That being said, we will only reblog 6 posts per participant, per month. This is mainly to keep from spamming everyone's dashes.
So if, for example, you choose to write multiple drabbles or connected drabble sequences for a prompt, keep this limitation in mind. Consider either posting them to ao3 as a collection and sharing the link, or condensing them into one tumblr post.
Again, please only @ us in 6 posts per month. Posts that exceed this limit will be disregarded.
When will my post be reblogged?
Our current plan is to reblog your submissions in batches, twice a week. There will be one drop in the middle of the week, and another over the weekend. So if your post isn't reblogged right away - don't worry! We will do our best to make sure everyone gets their time to shine.
We are also currently working on creating a tagging system to keep things as organized as possible on our end. We ask for your patience while we sort things out.
One last thing!
Remember, this a challenge, not a competition! The goal is to further develop and showcase your skills - and most of all, to have fun!
We know it's a slow time for the fandom right now, but we hope this event will encourage participation and foster a greater sense of community. Reblogs and comments are encouraged! It is our dearest hope that you will support each other's efforts and cheer each other on!
That being said: While we will do our best to tag ships and any sensitive or potentially triggering content, please remember that this is a fandom-wide event. Any and all pairings and ratings are allowed.
This may include content that you are not personally comfortable with. But while you are free to explore themes of intolerance or bigotry within your work, hate speech and harassment directed toward your fellow participants or mods WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Under ANY circumstances.
Someone wrote or drew a ship you don't like? You disagree with someone else's opinion or are squicked by a particular kink? Be respectful or just keep scrolling. Unsolicited critical feedback and bashing are not allowed in this dojo.
To paraphrase Mr. Miyagi - our root karate might be the same, but we all choose our own way to grow. Everyone's form of expression is unique. So please be respectful when engaging with creators and their works. Anyone found to be harassing their fellow challengers (or the mods) will be banned and disqualified from participating in future rounds.
If you have any other questions, comments, or suggestions for future themes, please feel free to contact us and we will get back to you as soon as we can! Our asks are open. And if for some reason you need to contact a mod directly, your senseis mods with their inboxes open and ready to answer questions are: @desolateice and @wicked-jade.

CSSNS Get to Know Me!
Welcome back to @hollyethecurious !
How long have you been in the CS/OUAT fandom?
I watched the show faithfully each week since the pilot aired, but didn't join the fandom until S5
When did you start shipping Captain Swan?
When Emma held that knife against Killian's throat
What drew you to this event?
My bestie Krystal and her impeccable enabling skills
What inspired your topic?
The Law of Surprise from The Witcher, but this is not a Witcher fic.
If you would like to share a snippet/sneak peek/summary of your fic or artwork, please use the space below.
King David lifted his sword and repositioned it to Killian’s other shoulder. “Then in addition to accepting your allegiance, and in accordance with the practices and traditions of this land, I not only recognize your selfless bravery in saving my life, but offer you a boon in addition to my gratitude.”
Killian’s brows pinched together and he felt the tips of ears go red. Other than the Queen’s remarks after he’d regained consciousness, nothing more had ever been mentioned regarding his actions that day in battle. He had simply been doing his duty; never would he have imagined a public ceremony, much less a boon.
“It gives me great pleasure to bestow upon you…” the King continued, his Adam’s apple jumping as he swallowed hard. “The Law of Surprise.”
A flurry of murmurs erupted throughout the throne room. Killian’s lips parted in shock and his brother had to assist him back to standing.
The Law of Surprise. A windfall whose nature is unknown to the parties involved. Whatever treasure or lands or blessing the King had yet to become aware of, but destiny had already designed for him, would actually be Killian’s to claim, the value of which could be innumerable.
Vaguely, Killian was aware of the order that the hall be cleared as the King offered the lieutenant his hand. Accepting the gesture, he managed to croak out a quiet ‘thank you’.
“No. Thank you,” Queen Snow replied warmly, having joined the men from the dais. “Both of you. This Kingdom is forever in your debt.”
And I am in yours,” King David declared, releasing Killian hands. “Until the Law of Surprise is fulfilled. So…” Reaching into his robes, the King produced a scroll, sealed with the Sovereign stamp. Handing it over to Liam, he continued, “Take all precautions to keep yourselves safe during this mission the Queen and I am tasking you with. These orders are to be kept under seal until you are ready to depart from our shores. We cannot risk anyone finding out.”
“I understand, Your Majesty,” Laim replied, taking the scroll and giving a reverential bow of his head. “Come, little brother,” Liam prompted, slapping Killian on the back. “We have our orders and must ready the Jewel.”
Killian stumbled, his body slow to obey, still too overcome by what had transpired. Bowing to their Majesties, Killian was about to follow his brother out of the hall when the Queen surprised him once again by throwing her arms around him and giving him a tight hug. Words seemed to get caught in her throat for a moment, and Killian sensed there was something she wished to say, but then thought better of it.
When she finally pulled away, she took his hand in hers and imparted, “Take care of one another and return home as quickly as you can.”
“Aye,” Killian answered with one last nod of his head. “Until we meet again, Your Majesty.”
For our artists: What kind of art do you like to do? Picsets, painting, digital, etc? Feel free to give as much info as you like.
I do picsets and moodboard
What are you looking forward to most about participating in this event?
Dragging the muse out of her hiatus. She's rested long enough!
Yes, she has @hollyethecurious ! We’re looking forward to what you and your muse have in store for us on July 27th!

Hey I hope your doing well 💗
I am here for energy reading + 3 image moodboard
My initial L ,I am virgo and virgo sun and aquarius rising and sagittarius moon and leo venus,i am famale she/her interested in male he/him.
My favorite color is blue and I love art and stationary and fashion and I love pearls
Thanks for your reading 💌
L 🍴🍽🍸 —⟡ Ten of Cups, Knight of Cups (reversed), Seven of Wands (reversed), Ace of Swords (bonus) (reversed), Page of Swords (bottom of the deck) —⟡ 111, 10, 0101 (someone could work w/ binary code), Air placements, Aquarius/Libra placements, (10th house, 3rd house, rising), Pisces/Aries placements (Sun, 8th house, Saturn, Pluto, silverware, dining set, porcelain, clean, cold, generational trauma, channeled song- She’s Always A Woman - Billy Joel
—⟡ Hello L, thanks for joining us! I see you meeting your future partner at a family gathering, and or maybe a workplace event involving family members (could also be a religious/church event but only if that resonates for you)- there is some theme of your family knowing their family, and so that is how you will cross paths. regardless of if you want this to be focused on your next partner, or your future spouse- I see this person as being the one in some way, I am hearing “divine union”, which might be why family is being involved in your first meeting. almost like it’s foreshadowing to both of you uniting two families… there is more to that aspect that I wish to unpack- but let me move on to the next chapter (I’m feeling old storybook energy from this ngl) of who this gentleman is~
going with the storybook theme- this man is giving Aurora's Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty (1959), he also has “Knight” energy. he’ll be charming, but with a traditional and serious twinkle in his eye- he has a sense of humor and charisma, but when he looks at you, he will be thinking of building a stable partnership and being a provider for you. He may have Aquarius/Air in his chart, but with Capricorn/earth degrees (maybe Saturn/Uranus dominance?), -most Capri(s) I’ve seen tend to have a mix of dark and light features, so he may have dark/pale(shaved?) hair, more pale skin/skin that catches the light (has a “sparkle” to it?), and dark/very light eyes- he's unique but has an essence of traditional to his appearance. honestly, he has features that look like Christian Bale- it's giving a little vampire too~ maybe a little young Robert Patterson? BAHAH sorry, I apologize. what you should take away from my physical description- is that this guy will have both unique but “traditionally” masculine features, rather intense (dark-colored, or hooded) eyes, and a magnetic aura to him. I also don’t see him as having an immature ego, but maybe some chaotic energy- due to how he may have many opposing signs in his chart), which is also why his eyes may appear intense at first. He might also have a creative eye, and he is neither humble nor ego-driven in that- he may do modeling or could model if he wanted to, he could also be a good interior designer- the type to be able to point out colors, what should be changed, and what curtains he wants paired w/ the sofa- DRIVEN! that’s the word I was looking for. he knows what he wants. (he also may have an eye for fashion- lots of suits, and if he were in modeling he would not mind going full Victorian-inspired. and knows he looks good in it.)
ok now- let me get into the more intense and darker aspects of this partnership- if you two were to get married (does not have to be, but a more serious partnership is coming through heavily), you would have a beautiful home together- again they are a very driven provider- and they would see you as their princess, transformed into their earth queen (it’s giving fiery Queen of Wands/The Empress energy- that is how they see you as their wife/partner) as the relationship/courting progresses. Now, I’m going to be really honest, and a little brutal- you two, both of you- (or maybe just this person if you have no issues within your family, take what resonates)- have, some severely toxic family members. and unfortunately, I see that toxicity, beginning to spill into this partnership. now this could mean actual family tampering with this relationship (overbearance, over-stepping boundaries, family making your home their home, etc), but also this could be that this toxic energy has rubbed off on you and your person. and so both of you may now carry behaviors that are not yours, and that belong to these generational lines- and they will begin to show up within this relationship and clash in... really weird and dark ways. so there is a serious need to de-toxify this familial/generational poison, or this will be what destroys this relationship (heavy theme of the word divorce.)... it’s reminding me of Billy Joel’s marriage with his at the time manager Elizabeth Weber, he wrote the song “She’s Always A Woman”, and it’s a darling love song of course, but it also describes recognized destructive behaviors, that keep being acted on. -but going back to a happier ending- if anyone can heal, and more importantly, alchemize this chaos that does not serve you, it's definitely you two 👫. if you guys can exorcise your demons and run all the snakes out of your shared house- it is you two👫💗. and once you’ve furthered in that maturing, you guys will also create a very cute (and also stylish asf) family 👨👩👧👦. (if you want that of course) ♡ ♡ ♡
*i hope this was helpful my darling ♡~ consider leaving a tip on my Patreon if you enjoyed, or follow and become a violet~ doesnt matter to me tho :>~ sending you on your wayyyy, bye bye!!*

Episode 3: Sketches
ASTRID’S ATELIER EPISODE 3: Sketches
Soyoun knows that today's video will be both one of the most interesting and labor-intensive for her as well as one of the hardest to explain to the viewers who aren't fashion students.
"Welcome to yet another episode of Astrid's Atelier!" She waves to the audiences. Zooming out, the viewers see that she's sitting in front of her desk with all her art materials out, as well as some fabric samples.
"As you see in the title, the next step in the fashion design process will be sketches!" Gesturing to her desk, Soyoun smiles as she anticipates the work she'll be doing for this. She purposely didn't work on this project so that the viewers will see how she does it in real-time (as well as see how much effort and time designers put into sketching the perfect outfit).
"Now we've done ideating and moodboarding, the next step is to actually sketch a tangible design." Soyoun already stretches her arms, knowing that she'll be doing this a lot. Thankfully, they have a free day today. She props up her sketchpad for the cameras and picks up her favorite pencil.
"Like I said, sketches are meant to present an idea in a tangible form. It's the barebones of the overall outfit, see?" Soyoun then flips to her previous sketches of other designs. "They can communicate the technical elements of an idea, including darts and seams, sleeve length, overall length, fit, shape, and more. I'll be using them as a blueprint for the first prototype."
This is going to be a long few hours of sketching. With her materials and ideas in tow, Soyoun knows she'll lose herself in her sketching, so she gets all the talking done out of the way. "You can sketch the traditional way, like I will be doing for this video." She then lifts her pencil, tapping it against a fresh page. "But other projects call for more digital means. And with that, let's get sketching! It's time to bring this vision to life!"
Just as Soyoun predicted, she loses herself in the world of futuristic fantasies with a touch of whimsy, because that's who she is. She imagines her muse as a game character who is meant to save the world. Yet, she keeps her heroine's outfit practical and true to the universe she'll be in. Of course, take the pieces apart, and her muse can wear them in her daily activities. Soyoun also throws in splashes of her muse's favorite colors... at least those that fit this universe she's sending her muse to.
Sketch, erase, pull her hair in frustration, drink some water; reply to a message from one of the other Crystallis members, occasionally complain to Max, ask her gamer friends for help, draw some more, play with paint samples. Rinse, then repeat. Soyoun supposes that this video will be fast forwarded.
It takes her several hours but she finally has a sketch she's satisfied with. Now, it's time to color it in and show the audiences. "This isn't meant to be perfect," Soyoun says. "It's just the barebones and the bare minimum of what to expect when everything comes together."
When it's all done, Soyoun then steps back and lets the camera film her final sketch.
"Tada! It's all done. This is just the overall tentative look. There are still other sketches to make, such as the technical ones for each piece of clothing that will go into this final piece, but that's for next time. I hope you enjoyed this episode and learned something from it. Always appreciate your designers! Skrrt skrrt! Byeeeee!"

FAQ: Reverse Version!
general
What is the Batfam Reverse Big Bang?
It's a collaborative event where writers, betas, and artists are paired up and work on a unique fic/art piece. Ours is focusing on the Batfam.
For this year, we're doing what's called a reverse big bang! Artists will get to create works first, and writers will work on fics inspired by those creations!
Can I participate?
Yes! Sign-ups open on January 1st for all participants! The form will be linked on our blog and here once open. You can find the general calendar here.
What about the regular bang? Why change?
We wanted to shake it up! Give the artists a chance to spark ideas! If you’re missing the regular bang, don’t worry! 2024 we’ll be back to normal. If this reverse bang goes well, and y’all like it, we’ll set up a rotation!
Can I sign up for more than one position?
Yes! You can sign up for however many positions you feel comfortable with.
What would cause me to be rejected from the bang?
We're reserving the right to shadowban applicants. However, if you aren't some kind of demon, you'll probably be fine. Things that might lead us to ban you are: ghosting from last year's bang, glorification of abuse/pedophila, etc.
Where can I see/read the fics/art?
For the fics, you can find them in our ao3 collection here. Our projects as a whole are displayed on this page linked here.
writers
If I want to participate as a writer, how much do I have to write?
The minimum word count is 6k for all fics.
Can I work on more than one fic/WIP submission?
At this point, we’re going to ask that you please stick to one fic! Just to make sure everyone has the time & doesn’t get burnt out. An exception would be for pinch hitters, in the case that another writer drops out. Pinch hitters will also have a lower min wc (~4k instead of 6k.)
What if I don’t like any of the WIPs?
No worries! This is our first time running this, same as it may be your first time participating, so if you’re a little apprehensive, we get it. We’ve purposely extended writer sign-ups to coordinate with when WIPs will be open for viewing! That way, you can get a feel for everything before you have to commit.
Is there anything I'm not allowed to write?
We're not allowing batcest (includes shipping of any of the kids who share a guardian; aka jaytim, jaydick, etc. Ships with Barbara, though, who was never a Wayne, would be fine.) Also no sexually explicit content. No glorifying of unhealthy relationships (abuse, pedophilia/age difference where one was a minor, grooming, etc.) Artists may also note if there are particulars they aren’t comfortable having incorporated into the work.
This is also meant to be a collaborative effort between you and the artist! Please respect anything that your artist isn’t a fan of, as they should respect the same for you. Some artists may have a very clear idea going in, while others may be broad strokes; we encourage you to go for what will make you the most comfortable working with!
Is Explicit content allowed?
Mod Mel does a great job of summarizing this here, but short answer: no! At least, not sexually explicit content! We're allowing mature themes/violent content, but nothing that would be considered explicit!
What about crossovers?
AUs are fine, aka DC characters in another universe, such as Percy Jackson. However, crossovers with both DC characters & outsider characters interacting are not allowed.
How many batfam members am I supposed to include?
As many as you like! You can focus on one or several, on the main family or extended members. It's also alright if you include teams such as Teen Titans or Young Justice, or the Superfam. You can focus on any character, as long as they're a bat.
artists
What type of art can I make?
Any kind of drawing (traditional, digital), original music, and edits/playlists/moodboards. The only requirement here is that there is a clear idea represented! If it’s too vague or unclear, we mods may reach out to you for revision. But, as a general rule, feel free to submit whatever medium you love working in!
Is there anything I'm not allowed to submit?
We're not allowing batcest (includes shipping of any of the kids who share a guardian; aka jaytim, jaydick, etc. Ships with Barbara, though, who was never a Wayne, would be fine.) Also no sexually explicit content. No glorifying of unhealthy relationships (abuse, pedophilia/age difference where one was a minor, grooming, etc.)
You will also be allowed to note in your WIP submission if there’s anything in particular you wouldn’t be comfortable with your writer incorporating.
How many ideas can I submit?
Up to three! They just have to be submitted by Feb 7th. We can’t promise that they’ll all be selected by writers, but we can promise that at least one will!
WIPs submitted can be as rough as you want! But they should be discernible & understandable to viewers.
How many pieces do I need to create (per idea)?
It’s the same as we’ve run it in the past! If you're creating traditional/digital art, then only one per fic team you're on (although you can absolutely do more!) If you're creating playlists, edits, or moodboards, you'll need to create at least three, and we outline this more clearly here!
What’s expected for our WIP submission?
We’ll be asking for:
one-line explanation (ex: pit!Tim au, lovecraftian horror, batdad bonding, ect)
optionally: a space for you to ramble if you have a more specific idea!
"up to" rating (whether you’re comfortable with fics G, up to T, up to M)
major pairings/relationships, if any
anything that you DO NOT WANT written alongside your piece. be as particular as you need! we want everyone comfortable and excited about what they’re working on.
What if I've already agreed to work with a specific writer/artist?
Cool! Just let us know that y’all have a pre-established agreement during WIP submission.
betas
Are there any requirements to be a beta?
Not really! Just try your best, be helpful, don't be a jerk to your writer. Don't underestimate the power of a cheerleader! If you want a sort of betaing guide, mod shelby made one for another bang, linked here.
Will there be anything different about our roles than last year?
Not really! The only thing that’s changed is the claiming window (3/4-3/5, after writers have claimed).
Anything else? Send us an ask!
Signups open Jan 1st, 2023!

Oh boy howdy, a pinned post!
Sup, you can call me Snow, or something else if you know me by another name, I’m not picky.
I have your local abilities of okay art in way too many mediums and who knows what else
I mostly work digital but I may pass out the occasional traditional bit, we’ll see.
I’m kinda shit at tagging but I’ll try, so yell if somethings tagged wrong.
What I use: Crusty Gen 6 iPad with an even crustier, near broken gen 1 Apple Pencil I bought off my brother 4 years ago. I draw in Procreate. I sketch and line using the basic ink bleed pen usually, and i render with the basic rectangular brush for the most part. I occasionally use fancy texture brushes outside of that sourced from various places. I used a 3000x4000 (3k x 4k) canvas in the default RGB color system.
Re uploads: No. not even to other sites. Don’t use my shit for ai either. If you want to use my stuff in an edit / mood board / profile picture that’s fine though, please credit me (and if it’s an edit or moodboard feel free to @ me I’d like to see it!)
If you wanna do a redraw of any of my things or make fans of my aus feel free as well! No need to ask.
I am on my hands and knees begging you to request things of me. I adore prompts.
Just no nsfw please I will make another art account eventually for that to go to probably. Whenever I get the courage lmao
Please do feel free to send me ship requests though! (Barring spy scout) I ship pretty much anything, I’m a multi shipper to my core. Probably my propensity for sailing irl rubbing off.
Have a nice one folks! If you wanna just learn things about me too feel free to send asks, I promise I don’t bite.
If you’re a terf or aphobe, know that you’re gonna get fucking blocked. I am a pissed tiny xenogendered aspec transman with a penchant for axe throwing, I will crack your ass on sight.

This day has the most flexibility for the idea you want to create.

this is the moodboard for my character design, taking influence from mythology and videogames depicting warriors/soldiers\
this is the first sketches that i worked with with the perspective and shape. i struggled most with the perspective of the snout and overall anatomy of the drawings
this is my final sketch for my character which i put alot of detail into with the head
this is the 2nd sketch on top of the previous, i recieved critiques of needing to make the pose stand the features out more, creating depth and perspective along the scales and overall work on the proportions
this is the main reference i used continuing on with my design with heavy inspiration of werewolves
i then refined it to make it more dynamic in the pose by rotating and moving each limb also added fluff and shoulder plates. following some touch ups, i found it now more looks like a lynx, which could actually work as a cool idea of a character, A WereLynx!
added a cape and changed the tail
these are the references i began to use to further develop a more lynx like creature as the face began to unintentionally look like one.
To begin with the final Line Art Layer, i started off with creating the head using the mix of the werewolf and the lynx head reference particularly in the ear, mouth and fluffy jaw area
i then went with making the fluff around the character's neck a less angular and more rounded and poofy art style. at this point i was really trying my best at getting the position, perspective and shape of the body right so it didnt look weird or off
i then went and added a little more detail around the mouth, added the mostly hidden other shoulder, some more fur detail and more clean up of the forearm
i then began with the leg proportion, perspective and placement. this was a particular challenge as i mainly draw heads more than i draw any other part of a body. it took many tries of readjusting and resizing of the thighs and calf muscles
as you can see, the foot in particular was the biggest challenge for me as i was still trying to figure out how i wanted the feet to be shaped. either closer to that of a human or more furry and wild like a traditional lynx foot. the perspective was difficult as well because i didnt know exactly how to position the foot along with the knee at this point.
to make things a little easier, i duplicated the foot to the left to the foot to the right as a starting point on where to begin with drawing it and how i can modify and rotate it to fit the perspective and the flow of the werelynx's body. i also fixed the knee area to be facing the direction as the thigh.
i then redrew the foort to the right to fit the direction of the knee better.
following the process of cleaning up and refining the foot to the right, i realized that the foot to the left was angled wrong compared to the knee above so i changed the perspective to make them consistent together
following the finish of connecting the feet and legs together, i created the cape and connected the fluff properly to the neck and shoulder
i then put together some gray values to figure what scheme would work out, i considered making him mostly dark so he didnt stand out too much but didnt blend in too much either.
to make his features distinct, i created white on his front and inside of his body similar to lynx fur colour scheme pattern.
this is the colour scheme i began with but i felt it just didnt work well and the shades and colours just were too dark or bright
i then changed the lightness and brightness of the colour palette. my main colours were shades of red, orange and red, red being the cape and fluff, blue being the shoulder armor and pale fur and orange being the main fur colour.
to reflect on the creation of this character thus far, i am happy with how it turned out and it took alot longer to put together than i had initially expected. i do feel it does need fix ups though with in terms of exaggeration of size and features. such as the ears, upper body and teeth.

Laura Kelly London x Simona Interiors Interview
Image above: Simona and I catching up in De Beauvoir
Born and raised in Italy, Simona Marsibilio embarked on a dance career that eventually led her to the vibrant streets of London in 2008. With a background in ballet, that included performances with renowned companies such as the English National Ballet and the Birmingham Royal Ballet, her artistic journey led her to study interior design. As I sit with her to discuss this, I see her eyes light up as she talks about how the streets of De Beauvoir have inspired her.
From Ballet to Interiors
I asked Simona how she discovered her first love of performing arts: ‘I started dancing with my best friend when we were very young. I loved the smell of the backstage area which I thought was magical and dancing became a subtle way for me to express myself, without feeling like I was the centre of attention.’
Having settled in London, she was struggling to find what to do in the gaps between dance contracts, and started thinking about pursuing a new path: ‘I enjoyed spending afternoons strolling the high streets in East London and always found myself drawn to homeware shops. It got me thinking how could I turn this into a hobby or a business, and with the support of my husband and friends, I finally decided to study interior design,’ she told me. ‘I enrolled in a course at UAL (University of the Arts London), instantly bonded with my tutor and I haven’t looked back!’
Images below: Simona performing
Inspiration from De Beauvoir
During lockdown, Simona found solace and inspiration in the quaint neighbourhood of De Beauvoir. ‘As I wandered our leafy streets, I couldn't help but be captivated by the diverse array of architectural styles and interior designs. From modern and sleek to traditional and timeless, every home offered a glimpse into the lives of its inhabitants. I was captivated,’ she said.
Simona’s favourite stretch of De Beauvoir is from the square to the end of Northchurch Road. ‘It’s so idyllic, the houses and gardens are gorgeous. In spring and summer I love walking down the road, smelling and photographing the roses that peep out from the fences.’
She also loves the atmosphere of our food and drink spots; ‘I love to go to the Scolt Head and De Beauvoir Arms, the pubs are warm and cosy and the food is great. I also love that The Scolt Head has live music and organises the Christmas Caroles’ And when it comes to pizza? ‘the atmosphere of Sweet Thursday makes me feel at home.’ High praise from an Italian!
Image below: Simona and I on our fave road, Northchurch Road!
Creative Process and Signature Style
I asked her what processes she uses when designing for a new client: ‘I love how everyone has a different way of living and I watch how a client moves through their space. This helps me design to their specific flow. I describe my signature style as relaxed, airy and light and love effortless interior design which is not overly structured and that doesn’t make you feel you’re sitting in a museum’.
Simona creates soft, textured spaces using a large variety of different fabrics and believes above all that homes should be a place to relax in. Drawing inspiration from the world around her, she seamlessly integrates earthy tones with pops of colour, architectural features with modern accents and creates spaces that are both functional and visually stunning.
Simona has especially enjoyed this process whilst working on one of her most recent projects; a Victorian Terrace in Walthamstow, where she is working with the owners to blend old-world charm with contemporary comforts. Guided by the client's brief for a light and airy space, Simona reintroduced architectural elements like fireplaces and Crittal windows to honor the property's heritage while adding a touch of modern sophistication.
Images below: Simona's moodboard for her recent Walthamstow project (left). A space staged by Simona in Belsize Park (right).
Her decision to pursue interior design was not just about finding a new career path but also about finding fulfilment outside of the dance studio. Fuelled by curiosity, she continues to dance to the rhythm of her own creativity.
If you would like to discuss an interior design project with Simona, you can check out her website: https://www.simonainteriors.com/, or you can each her on email: [email protected]
Simona and I also work together in De Beauvoir and the wider North and East London areas to help clients style, stage and market their home for sale. You can also contact me via phone on 07594 150 021 or email on [email protected].

Rules and FAQs
Please read the following FAQs and rules below carefully. You can always contact a mod or send us an ask if you need further clarification.
NOTE: Some links may be locked until their release date. These will have a strikethrough on them until they're live.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
1. What is a reverse bang and why?
In a Bang, a writer submits their fic idea to be claimed by an artist. A Reverse Bang is when the artist submits their work to be claimed by a writer.
This round of @stuckybangs will be a reverse bang as the last round was a traditional bang.
2. How does a reverse bang work?
In this round, artists will sign up to submit an art piece for claiming. Writers will sign up to claim those pieces. Claims are made on a first come-first serve basis – the mods will facilitate the match ups based on your claim submissions. This is a collaborative event, meaning: the artist will finish the art piece (if not already done) and the writer will write a fic inspired by that art.
Communicating with each other throughout this time is expected. Depending on the ratio of artists to writers, some art pieces may be up to be claimed by two writers. Upon sign up, artists can choose whether they would like to put their piece up to be double claimed.
3. Can we discuss our submissions/claims?
All submissions should be kept ANONYMOUS so in the spirit of the event, please do not post your work anywhere or announce which piece(s) is/are yours. This is a great opportunity to meet new people in the fandom, work with someone new, etc. We will not have a dedicated space for writers vs. artists to discuss prior to claims.
After claims (January 20th), participants will be allowed to chat, post snips, and promote their WIPs on the Stucky Big Bang Discord server in the specified channels. We would encourage you not to share previews of your creations outside of this until nearer the time of posting to help keep the anticipation up.
4. What criteria do I need to participate in this event?
Most importantly is that you understand we are a safe space for creators – there is absolutely NO shaming (kink shaming, character bashing, criticism of works, etc.). Respect your fellow creators and do your best to encourage each other!
Furthermore, this is a collaboration. Please read the Wants and DNW’s of each slide before committing to claim it, and keep an open line of communication with your partner(s) to ensure that all of your interests and hard work are represented in your final creation.
The bang will be broken up into NSFW and SFW sections, however, this is an 18+ event due to the nature of some of these works and we cannot moderate/block/control what you may or may not accidentally see. We will, however, make it as clear as possible between these ratings.
5. What are the different roles at sign up?
Artist: you will submit an art piece to be claimed and provide art.
Writer: you will intend to claim a piece during the claims period and provide writing.
Pinch Hitter: you are essentially an “on-call” writer or artist. By selecting this role, you agree to be included in future emails throughout the event if a fic or art piece needs to be claimed due to unforeseen circumstances.
Beta & Support: you would like to specifically offer beta-reading services, cheerleading, brainstorming, characterization help or sensitivity reading.
[Submission minimums, full schedule and rules under the cut]
SUBMISSION MINIMUMS
Art
Original art
Manips – must be skillfully and heavily edited so they are unrecognizable from the source material (we’re not trying to get sued here)
Fanvid – at least 2 minutes in length
A craft that can be photographed or scanned (you must the creator of this craft)
* Moodboards or playlists can be included in the final submission but not as standalone art for claims. There is no maximum for this event.
Kam (@mxaether) is your lead mod for art concerns.
Fic
There is a 8,000 word minimum for the Stucky Big Bang 2024. There is no maximum for this event.
Tej (@sparkagrace) is your lead mod for writing concerns.
HR (@buckyismybicycle) will be available for any queries regarding both fic and art. All mods are available for general questions.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
December 2 2023
Starting December 2, you will sign up for the event using this form. Please read through both the sign up form and the FAQs/rules thoroughly.
January 13 2024
By January 13, you will SUBMIT your Slide(s) for previews here. Please use this template. If you are submitting more than one work, you can put all your slides on the same slideshow and we will review each slide. While we do not require the completed work, please have enough information/enough of the art done for this to help match you up.
January 14 to 19 2024
By January 14, you will be emailed a preview of all the works submitted (so please ensure you enter your correct/active email). This preview will include both SFW and NSFW art submissions. These will be marked accordingly. It is suggested that you think about which slides you want to claim and in which order. On the claims form, you will be asked to enter in your first, second, third and optional additional choices. It is recommended you give some variety in case your first choice(s) are already claimed. If all of your choices are already taken, you will receive an email immediately telling you to re-submit your choices.
January 20 2024
On January 20, CLAIMS WILL OPEN! Claims open at 6:30pm EST. For your local time, please see here. Claims will be made through this form. Claims go on a first come, first serve basis. If you are not around for claims, you can assign a proxy - this is someone who will claim on your behalf. They will enter in their own email address and own name and advise us they are just a proxy assisting you with claiming.
February 24 & March 23
There will be two check-in dates at 1 month intervals: February 24 and March 23. Check-ins are very easy and both can be done here. We essentially want to know (1) how’s it going? (2) do you need help? Check-ins are a good time for your team to assess where you’re at, if you think any help might be needed, etc. We will not require percentage amounts to ‘pass’ check in.
May 12 2024
You should aim to have your collaboration done by May 12 and be more or less ready to post. Check with your partner who will be posting the work to which platform - Tumblr, AO3, etc. We recommend that you embed your artwork(s) in your posts. While having a “banner” or “title card”. This will be the final check in before posting week to ensure you’re ready to go or if you need a mod to help with something.
May 19 to 25 2024 + POSTING
Between May 19 through 25, you will post your completed collaboration! Please submit your masterpost/completed work using this form. We will be using this, and our “@” mentions to compile our final masterlist.
AO3: AO3 Collection Tumblr: tag us at @stuckybangs and use the tag: #stuckybigbang2024
STILL WORRIED?
What if I sign up, and then need to drop out or don’t want to claim something?
If you sign up and do not claim anything because you don’t vibe with it, not a problem, it happens!
If you sign up and do claim something but then need to drop out, just let us know as soon as possible. This is a key point of our monthly check-ins, to ensure you’re on track or if you’re feeling like you can’t meet the deadline. This is also where our lovely pinch-hitters can step in and claim the piece you’ve been working on so that your partner(s) can continue in the event.
If you sign up and you’re running behind but still think you can complete your work(s) with a few additional days, please speak to a mod about an extension, within reasonable limits.
We are open to hearing any concerns at any time and there is almost always a solution, so do not fret. With that being said, we do ask that you sign up only if you are fairly confident or certain that you can commit to the event.
I’m an event junkie – can I use this piece as a fill for another event?
Yes, if your other event allows this as well, you are welcome to cross-post to any and all other events. The only caveat is that you cannot post your work before our posting date (i.e., you cannot post your finished product before our posting period of May 19–25 or without your team’s consent). If you really want to post before May 19th in order to make another deadline, please speak with a mod for an exception.
I don’t have Tumblr or AO3
Not to worry - these are just where Stucky Big Bang operates out of so it’s easiest for us to reblog on Tumblr or have an AO3 collection. If you are posting your fic elsewhere, that’s perfectly fine! Just submit the link through our submission form so we can still include you within our masterlist and do a simple Tumblr post for you.
Does this have to be Bucky/Steve?
Yes, your work should focus on the relationship between Bucky and Steve in any iteration, whether it’s platonic, romantic, or even if they’re rivals! Their relationships and interactions should be front and center. You can, however, include side pairings, previous relationships, or even polyamorous relationships so long as your spotlight remains on Bucky and Steve.
RULES
Due to the NSFW nature of some of the works, you must be at least 18 years of age to join this event. If we discover that a user is underage, it will result in a ban.
We will not tolerate any forms of bullying, harassment, character bashing or kink-shaming. It will result in a ban from this event. If another user is causing concern, please privately let one of the mods know.
Fic and art must be new content. It cannot be posted somewhere already. If your fic is going to be part of a series, it must be able to stand alone.
This challenge is for fun and communication is key! If you run into trouble, please communicate with us and we can discuss potential options with you. That said, if you ghost your partner, the mods or fail to check in, then it potentially will result in a ban for the next round.
There is no limitation to where a participant may post their content – AO3, LJ, Tumblr, DW, etc. A masterpost will be submitted to our Tumblr.
Adult content must be handled appropriately. This means tagging, warning, and hiding content under read mores.
Writers must have a beta reader before your fic is posted. If you are having trouble finding a beta, send us an ask with the following info: two or three sentences about your fic, a rating, and a word count. We will then post that info to allow available betas to contact you.
Betas: Usually writers will credit their betas. You may remain anonymous if desired, but you must communicate that with your writer. The general expectation for a beta is to make yourself available to the writer/artist to bounce ideas and do a check over the writer’s work before posting. Some writers need their betas more than others. While prior experience is desired, you don’t need to be an experienced beta.
Pinch hitters: If your services are needed, it is a general request that you fill the expectations of your prompt. If your services are required during a time where the full expectations of your prompt are impossible to fill, leniency will be granted! Whether that is in the form of more time before posting or fewer requirements to fill can be discussed on an individual basis.

Relationship: Artist Steve Rogers x Reader
Word Count: 2.1k
CW: Strangers to Lovers, Smut (Fingering, Oral (f receiving), unprotected PinV sex (be careful kids)).
You weren’t really one for art galleries, but your friend had invited you to an evening opening of an exhibition by an up and coming artist. According to her anyway . She was the one who worked there, you wouldn’t know a Matisse from a Monet.
But you hadn’t had much in the way of a social life recently, so the opportunity to dress up in your fanciest dress, break out your most over the top jewellery and then take advantage of bottomless champagne and numerous canapés sounded like just the thing.
So here you were, nursing your third…(fourth?) glass of the evening, taking in a large canvas, whilst your friend was off mingling.
This artist certainly had an eclectic style. A mixture of traditional portraiture, some landscapes (mainly Brooklyn, but other parts of New York and further afield too), but also some photographs.
The canvas in front of you was a painting of the lower half of a white woman’s face showing off her lips, her long neck and shoulders. But the striking part was the collar she wore around her neck.
It spoke of being claimed, being owned. Your stomach flipped slightly at the thought.
“I couldn’t help but notice you’ve been stood here a while. Do you like this one?”
You jumped slightly as a deep voice broke into your thoughts.
You turned to see a man who really should also have been part of the exhibition, the centre piece of truth be told. Tall, broad shouldered, slim of waist and hip. Dirty blonde hair on his head and face.
Your stomach flipped again.
“Sorry, I didn’t see you there. Um…yes… I think I like it.”
He looked down at you, one eyebrow raised.
“You think?”
“Well, from what we can see of her face, she doesn’t look to be unhappy, or upset. But the collar seems to imply she is owned, like a pet or something.”
“And you don’t like that?”
A wry smile crossed his face at the question. You were absolutely going to say no. You didn’t like that idea at all. But as you looked at him your mouth became dry, and you could feel your clit pulse at the thought of this man placing a collar on your neck, claiming you as his, torturing your body with only the pleasure he could give you.
He chuckled, as if completely aware of your internal struggle. God, your desire must be etched across your face. It had definitely been far too long since you got laid.
A shout caught your attention, your friend calling your name as she swooped to reclaim your company.
“Ooo, you’ve met Steve I see.” And she flashed her smile at the Adonis next to you.
“I’ve gotta say, excellent work, as always. Everyone I’ve spoken to is raving!” You zoned out as she rambled, concentrating on the fact that the man you’d been talking to was the artist whose exhibition you were at. And you’d just insulted one of his works. And then stared at him like you wanted to eat him up. Fuck, could the ground just open up and swallow you now?
You were drawn back to the conversation by Steve’s voice.
“I think my favourite thing about art is that, with the more…provocative pieces, it’s always enjoyable to be involved in debate. I like seeing how others perceive the things I have made.”
He was still talking to your friend, but he was looking directly at you. The was hunger in his eyes, unmistakable. A challenge thrown down, daring you to accept it.
You squeaked as you landed on the bed, sliding against the black satin. Steve stalked towards you, pulling his tie loose and discarding it, along with his suit jacket.
After chatting to Steve, your friend had flitted off again to schmooze someone else. So you’d locked gazes with him, and accepted that challenge. He’d pulled you into a secluded area and kissed you. Hard. Domineering. And speaking of hard, you could feel the firm length inside his trousers pressing up against you.
As a rule you didn’t indulge in one night stands, but it was almost automatic when, between kisses, you asked him to take you home.
His lips had met yours ferociously again, before drawing back, and with a mischievous smile dragged you along in his wake out a side door of the gallery.
Steve hailed a cab, and rushing you inside, he gave his address to the driver before claiming your mouth again. You hands had gripped his biceps, feeling the firm muscles beneath his clothes, as he cradled your face and devoured you, tasted your mouth with his tongue, nipped and nuzzled at your throat. You were a panting mess when the taxi finally pulled up outside a smart brownstone.
And now here you were, watching him undress as he approached you, your eyes wide with need and you panties saturated with your desire.
If he had looked like a Greek statue in his clothes he was like a god without them. He was all muscle and grace. Wide high pecs that begged to be bitten, cut abs that looked good enough to ride.
There was a smattering of hair across his chest that darkened and thickened as it travelled down beneath his boxer briefs. The cotton fabric clung to the outline of his cock, making you swallow, and stretched around his thick thighs. God, you’d love to ride those too! You hadn’t fell this aroused in a long time.
He leant over the bed, feral looking, and pushed your dress up past your thighs, allowing you to spread your legs so he could kneel on the bed between them.
Holding himself up on one hand he kissed you again, his other hand stroking the leg nearest to it, massaging your flesh as his finger rose higher and higher.
You arms wound around his neck pulling him closer as you whined with need into his open mouth.
“Please…Steve. I need you.” It was true, you needed more and if you didn’t get it soon you felt like you might expire.
He took pity on you, his dexterous fingers moving up under the fabric of your underwear, pushing it to the side and sliding between your folds. He drew back from your lips, chuckling again as he took in the sight of you, writhing and wanton under his hand. Your back arched as he slid his index finger inside you. His one digit felt like two of yours and the stretch was delicious.
“You’re so gorgeous sweetheart. So responsive. I want to capture every look on your face, it’s so inspiring.”
Your finger nails dug into his shoulders as he added his middle finger, turning the pair of them to map your walls and you wailed as he found your g-spot. His lips trailed down you, over your throat and clothed breasts, your stomach and hips. Then pleasure was jolting through you, more intense than before as he lapped at your folds and drew your clit into his mouth. He worked you with his tongue and fingers, you own fingers gripping the dark sheets and you hurtled upwards, being momentarily suspended in the air before crashing back down with a scream as you shook and jerked under Steve’s touch.
You drifted for a bit, feeling the softness of Steve’s hands stroking over you skin.
“What do you want sweetheart?”
It took you a moment to realise he was asking if you wanted more. He was willing to stop here if that’s what you desired. But it wasn’t. You needed to see, needed to feel, what was going on in those underpants of his.
You shifted so your back was towards him.
“Unzip me, Steve? I want to feel you against my skin. Want to feel all of you.”
You could have sworn he growled as he pressed his lips to your neck again, and eased the zipper down your dress, sweeping the fabric down and away.
You turned back to him, unhooking your bra and tossing it to the floor.
“Fuck, you are definitely inspiring. Like Calliope, the Greek Muse of erotic poetry. Are you going to be my Cali?” He didn’t give you a chance to respond before pulling the peak of one breast into the wet cavern of his mouth. No man has never made you feel this good before. Every touch had a direct line to your pussy, and despite the orgasm he had given you a few minutes ago you could feel that coil tightening again.
Feeling emboldened, you ran your hand over his tight abs and followed the line of hair under the waistband of his shorts. He groaned around your flesh as you took him in your hand. Your fingers wouldn’t even meet as they wrapped around his length and you felt another stab of desire run through you.
You ran your hand up and down his thick cock, using your thumb to smear his pre-cum, as he continued to worship your breasts.
“My beautiful Cali, my muse. Fuck, what you do to me sweetheart.”
You were panting again, never before so turned on just by your breasts being played with. You whined as he pulled back, your tender flesh leaving his mouth with a wet pop.
His hands trailed down you body, removing the last scrap of fabric on your body, before taking off his own. His cock bounced free and you bit your lip. He held his palm up to your face.
“Lick.” The command was quiet, but a command none the less.
You ran you tongue up his skin before he wrapped his spit slicked hand around his cock, fisting it a few times causing further pearls of pre-cum rolling out of the slit.
“I’m clean,” he growled out. “Please tell me you’re on birth control.”
You tapped the small lump in your upper arm before reaching up with your hands to pull him close.
“Steve, please, I just need you to fuck me.”
His grin broke the seriousness of the moment.
“Who am I to deny a lady what she wants?”
His lips met yours again, deep and claiming. You hooked one leg over his hip pulling him closer and you felt his cock slide along your slick folds before sinking into your cunt. Your combined moans filled the air.
“God, Stevie, you feel so good.”
“Right back atchu, sweetheart.”
He rolled his hips, causing him to pull back and sink in deeper.
“More, faster, Steve!”
His forehead was pressed to yours, your breaths mingling as he pumped into you. Your legs were locked around his waist, you hands anchoring yourself to his broad shoulders. He whispered filthy sweet nothings to you as your hips moved to meet his with each stroke.
Your orgasm was building again, a warm ball growing where the pair of you were joined.
Steve shifted his weight, balancing on one forearm. He raised his free hand to your mouth, his thumb pressing in between your lips. You sucked on his digit, swirling your tongue over the pad, and then he was pulling it away, moving his hand down to rub over your clit.
You instinctively bucked up into his touch, driving him deeper.
“Are you going to come for me sweetheart?”
You gasped as you felt that string inside you tighten. Each of his movements hit your sweet spot over and over, and you’d never felt anything like it before.
Your fingernails dug into the meat of his shoulders, leaving marks that would be visible for the following few days.
But neither of you cared, too caught up in your mounting pleasure.
He drew one of your breasts back into his mouth, flicking his tongue against the tortured peak in time with the thumb on your clit.
This time when you came, no sound escaped you other than a stuttered exhale.
Steve threw his head back as your pussy clenched around his dick, biting on his lower lip at the feeling. He began to rut into you, faster and harder as he chased his high, each thrust pushing small noises out of you as they combined with the aftershocks of your own orgasm.
When he came it was with a deep groan and small, final thrusts as he spilt into you.
Ever the gentleman, he rolled to the side, but pulled you with him, still partially inside you as you both floated back to earth.
His fingers ran up and down your back and petted your hair as he dotted kisses over your head and brow.
You fell into a light doze, and when you woke up some unknown time later it was to see Steve, naked in his bedroom chair, sketch pad and pencil in hand as he drew your sated and debauched form.
“Told you you were inspiring me, my Calliope. Now hold still.”
