It seems #valentus reps are recruiting again. They can’t be selling as nearly all of their products are not legally sellable in the UK. So if they ARE ‘doing well’ as some claim then they’re operating as a #pyramidscheme without product. #tradingstandards #antiMLMmovement https://t.co/tIMC3veztt

Vida Divina is an 'Avoid'
I recently came across the company Vida Divina and its products. In the space of 24hrs I have learnt a great deal about them. They are an MLM (Multi Level Marketing) organisation that is currently doing its best to recruit people. for a near Pyramidal selling scheme.
I was interested and asked them some open questions about the business and the products. The initial response was to try and avoid my questions. I remained persistent. Their final response was to try and shut down my Facebook account!
Yes, a company that has a very intense sales patter about being open, welcoming, communicative and team based, just tried to shut me down for asking a few questions about stuff that should be public knowledge to begin with.
On this basis and using the tried and trusted scale of 'Snog/Marry/Avoid' I must insist that this company belongs in the 'Avoid' bin.
Please, spread the word. These kinds of company prey on vulnerable people that are simply trying to improve their quality of life. Scams like this are parasitic. It is our social responsibility to confront them and shut them down.

No ‘hoverboard’ is safe from UK Trading Standards
"Hoverboards" are getting a pretty bad rap of late, and not just because their common name is annoyingly misleading. Several UK retailers have stopped selling the things due to serious concerns over battery safety — they have a habit of spontaneousl..

Hayes shopkeeper fined for selling e-cigarettes to children
Last August, during an undercover operation conducted by the council's trading standards team, a child aged 13 entered RK Convenience Store and successfully purchased an Elf Bar 600 disposable vape. The court also heard that the store had been the subject of an investigation in March 2022 following a report from a member of the public that they had been selling vaping devices to children. Following this incident, Kumar had received a written warning from the council and training materials to help him comply with the law surrounding age-restricted products. When handing down the sentence, the magistrates gave the defendant credit for his guilty plea but noted that he had failed to adhere to the guidance provided by the council. In total, Kumar has been ordered to pay £1,364 which includes a fine of £403, victim surcharge of £161 and the council's costs of £800. #hayes #shopkeeper #fined #e-cigarettes #ecigarettes #vapes #undercoveroperation #undercover #tradingstandards #mhra Read the full article

Hayes beauty business fined for selling dangerous skin lightening products
A Hayes business has been fined £2,700 for selling illegal skin lightening products following an investigation by Hillingdon Council's trading standards team. JP House Limited, trading as Precious Gems Hair and Beauty, of Coldharbour Lane, was sentenced during a hearing at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on 13 July. At the hearing, the company director admitted five counts of breaching the Cosmetic Products Enforcement Regulations 2013 after selling skin lightening creams containing the banned substance hydroquinone. Hydroquinone can cause serious side effects and can cause long-term health problems such as kidney and liver damage, as well as increased risk of skin diseases. JP House Limited was fined £540 on each count and further ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £190 and a contribution towards the council's prosecution costs of £1,500. A forfeiture and destruction order was made for the seized items. #hayes #beauty #skinlightening #tradingstandards #hydroquinone Read the full article
