Amos is making tracks!

Finally got around to drawing my silly lorry again. I love him so much. Talk about all smiles- this lad is just a ray of sunshine.

Out of all my war boys, Amos' assimilation to peacetime was the easiest.

He was built specifically for WWI- commissioned by the War Office in 1917 to deliver supplies and help repair roads along the Western Front. Amos enjoyed his work, and loved making a difference in the lives of the poor soldiers stuck in the trenches.

Postwar he found himself working for civilian crews- performing road repair back in his home country and hauling heavy loads to and from businesses. Eventually the Fodens were all retired from road service and Amos entered his preservation era.

He bounced around a lot before eventually ending up with the driver he has in modern day, Wally. They make a great pair, and the old gentleman manages to keep his lorry quite busy indeed. Between all the steam events they attend and doing chores about town, the roads stay hot under Amos' wheels.

I'll get around to drawing old Wally at some point

There's a massive one I drive usually once a month, but she's out-of-action for repairs atm. 1920 Z7 John Fowler ploughing engine No.15500. 1st: Snapped after another volunteer and I brought her into the arena to fill her water tank up. 2nd: Taken from 15500's cab - "George" after bursting a gauge glass. The latter has since been repaired.

Oops, another oc just dropped. Meet Amos, an easy going traction engine who, of course, served in The Great War! Felt like making a little doodle of him in a similar fashion to Dave's first drawing. Amos is a kind and gentle soul. He's always willing to help, even if his occasional clumsiness gets in the way.

Character inspired by the Foden Steam Wagon that participated in the 2014 Tracks to the Trenches event on the Apedale Valley Railway.

Uh that's all I got for now! I've been taking a break from drawing big projects recently but I should return very soon!

made a design for everyone's favorite cool old guy, Trevor. he would beat up pedos in a fight (like Jimmy Savile) and cares for children so much. a little headcanon backstory, Trevor and his wife wanted children so badly but they find out that the wife is infertile. so, Trevor becomes a vicar, looks after children, and even buys a traction engine to give them rides.
