Today's theme: The symbolism of poison.

This is where the story takes a dark turn. Killing a human being with cold blood.

Ramune dies in a beautiful, shining place with full of pink colored moonlight stones. It represents his pure but later shattered soul. There's no dramatic bacground, storm, nothing. Just a majestic place with bright light.

The dark purple shading represents the symbolism of poison very well. As it the greed poisons Ham-Egg's heart and later his body.

That's why the purple colour became Ham-Egg's symbol in TPOTMS. The Tulip of Death. As you can see, the Hassarasu has purple fur color and dark purple horns:

Purple colour means toxic and poison, but magic and elegance as well. Ham-Egg wanted to be rich, and he never cared about anyone but money only. He lived and died filled with poison.

The manga is a diferent story (but I used the movie symbolism and events here).

Igada and her children.

Moonlight stones are activated by moonlight. Their light is strongest during the full moon. Why are there lights here? It's simple. The heart of the mother activated them. Great Mara (Igada) is the mother of life and child of the moon. And Higeoyaji successfully made contact with the mother's heart.
