I stayed up all night thinking about how depressing Rays life is.
Since he was just a toddler he had been gearing up for death his whole life, he never really found joy in much things because he knew he'd lose them. when he did find a good interest he never gave up on it.
When he read, he only did it to improve his value so he could save Emma and Norman, the two people he'd always loved with a true passion.
He did everything I could to prepare for the escape.
Became Isabella's spy
Gathered things for 6 years to disable the tracking device.
He also planned to burn himself alive.
Ray believed that he wasn't worthy of love because he stood by all those years watching everyone he loved die and couldn't do anything about it.
And also because his biological mom was the one killing all of them.
He did everything he could to make the escape perfect for Emma and Norman.
After the escape plans seem to be going smoothly, Ray's own mom snaps emmas leg and reveals that Norman will be killed in a day.
Ray watches as the plan he's worked on for 6 YEARS fall to ashes (no pun intended) and has to watch as norman refuses to escape alone, and is shipped out.
(When ray reunites with him years later, Norman has been traumatized by the demons so badly that he turns genocidal)
Then on his 12th birthday ray tries to light himself aflame to distract isabella and let everyone escape. When Emma saves him he's shook. Then she slaps some sense into him and tells him that his family won't let him die, and that they're all going to escape together.
After the escape ray admits that he "lost." to Norman and will continue to life for his family, and protect them no matter what.
HE'S SUCH A TRAGIC CHARACTER I WANT TO HUG HIM SO BAD UGHHHHHDJDJJJJGJDJF
PROTECT THIS BOY AT ALL COSTS

(Mystic Code Book Q&A Chapters 1 & 7)
Thinking about these questions in relationship to panels like these
Tumblr media
(Chapter 28)
and how utterly gross Ray must have felt when fragments of headquarters flashed in his mind where he was paraded around by sisters to demons as 81194 after they would specifically come to check on 73584's offspring and muse he was progressing as was expected of her progeny.

The Promised Neverland x RC9GN
So, since I am on a temporary break from asks- I decided to go ahead and post some more coherent thoughts on the crossover literally no one except ONE person was interested in (/lh). I didn't expect the post to gain even the slightest bit of traction, so seeing someone with the same type of rotting interest actually made my day-
I actually wanted to focus on what came before Randy had even been born (aka what the deal with 'the Ninja' is because this idea barely makes an ounce of sense), so without much further ado- let's continue!
The First Ninja is meant to parallel William Minerva/James Ratri. He was a descendant of the original founders which had been involved in 'the Promise' and originally he didn't fully question their behavior, it was more so along the lines of "if I pretend everything is fine, I won't have to acknowledge how I feel about it", but as things kind of escalated- he couldn't bring himself to just sit aside and ignore it. At some point, he flat out rebelled (not that anyone was aware of what he'd begun to do-) and was leaving behind evidence to alert the farms orphanages about what was going on.
Now if you've been following my content at all, you know I talk about the Norisu 9 every so often- I like to think they were also involved and contributed in different ways to the first wave of resistance. The First Ninja is still a warrior in this crossover and I like to think he supplied weapons, things that would harm the demons but going against their leader was a lot harder than he thought it would
(The leader who, of course, is the Sorcerer)
Finja fought bravely, but as punishment for his disobedience- he was subject to watching his entire clan die before his eyes. Forced to live with the guilt, he broke off from the resistance (at least that was the agreement- he would continue working for the demons until someone else took over his role upon death) and went back to the life he held previously. However unbeknownst to the Sorcerer, Finja had left behind something important: the Nomicon.
A tome that contained tunnels and maps of the Demon World, the key to paradise. It held the bunker with a supply of weapons and arsenal, and everything- Finja had entrusted a demon known as “the Messenger” to hand it down, but there was one problem to this plan: who would carry on the mantle?
A decision was made for it to be left in the least likely of locations: one of the farms.
The Messenger had unique powers- allowing them to find the next “Ninja”, someone who possessed specific traits and could carry on what Finja had started. Years came to pass, each with varying levels of success (a few managed to cause a new wave of resistance, one unfortunate kid got adopted- and the rest, well, who knows what became of them). First Ninja’s name was forgotten over the years and the book would continue to be handed down.
The First Ninja is bound to the book- whether this makes in the original Promised Neverland canon is irrelevant, because well, I make the rules (/lh). I like to think he has the ability to communicate with the current holder of the book, but unlike the RC9GN canon- things work a little differently.
He communicates with the current ‘Ninja’ via dreams- sending ominous signs and continuing to hand them lessons but there isn’t any ‘shloomping’ into the Nomicon. Things just work a little differently, if anything-
The book is eventually left in the hands of Randy, but that is a story for another day.
Finja was left with immense survivor’s guilt- knowing he had failed his siblings, he had failed the children, everyone who wanted the nightmare of the Promise to end. He lost the hope things would ever right themselves. His actions came with unfortunate consequences, and in the years leading up to his death- he isolated himself from everyone. Though his allies attempted to honor his wishes, even if he didn’t know about what they had done.
(I might tie Rei Izumi into this, but we’ll see-)
His legacy continues and for one particular boy, and the people he cares about, everything is going to change. Sooner than they think.
Written as a partial gift to @thesoundofmadness! Also because I am just fixated on this universe lol, but these are my thoughts for now! More will be dropped eventually, hope you enjoy the rest of your day loves!

Not going to lie NOBODY is going to probably read this shit (if you are check out my Emma birthday art instead I'm so proud) BUTTTTT I just.. love the Norman = James' son and Ray = Yugo's son theories so much like???
"But Ray was supposed to be the only one with a connection to his biological mother!" WHATEVER, WHATEVER
Also ouggghhh just the THOUGHT of Smee helping Norman in Lambda to atone for his past mistake of killing James (he'd lure him out of hiding with the news that he had a son, aka Norman and OH GOD then he'd kill him)
only for Norman to find out Smee killed HIS father, get mad at him and then BAM Smee dies ❤️ perfect angst AND gives Norman more reason to want to rid of all demons
When Smee told Peter James said "Tell him I'm sorry" after Peter asked if he had any last words that shit would so be meant for little baby Norman I'm so sorry
And for Ray and Yugo, it was probably something silly like "oh they took Yugo's DNA and used it to get Isabella pregnant eventually" but still like imagine how bad that would hurt
You also cannot tell me Ray is not a mini Yugo my ears will be closed I will not hear a thing you say
As for how Norman got into Gracefield? If his mother (I say Matilda) was a cattle child, since James was dead and Peter was in charge, I feel like Peter would send him to GF
Can't completely explain it but I feel he would for sure, BUT he did have the decency to 'save' Norman by taking him to Lambda
If Peter referred to himself as Norman's dad I just know James would be rolling in his grave
Anyway that's enough for me but I'd totally elaborate further in DMS these are my fav TPN theories

"Oh the Irony....."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Takes place in 2047 when Emma is 13)
They had no choice but to abandon you, Kazuko and Lily. Your fractures were not completely healed at the time. A month before the escape, Mother fractured your arm. Kazuko chose to stay with her mother after Lily injured her leg. Your other siblings had been transferred and shipped throughout the previous two years. It was now your and Lily's 12th birthdays, while Kazuko was 11.
As you tried to concentrate on the test, you brushed your (h/c) colored bangs out of the way. The lights turn on, indicating that the exam is finished. You finished first, followed by Lily and Kazuko. Isabella smiled at you and your companions. "Y/n, Lily, and Kazuko! Perfect scores again, just like the trio," she remarked, her eyes narrowing slightly. When you turned to your right, you noticed Lily tense. "Lily, calm down," you said quietly. Lily shook her head and sighed, "I know Y/n, it's just that I'm scared about the escape."
It was now supper time, and you hardly touched your dish while Lily devoured hers, leaving nothing behind. Isabella rang the bell, summoning everyone's attention. "Good news, everyone! You're all getting adopted!" she exclaimed. Except for you and your companions, everyone appeared to be joyful. Your eyes widened as you noticed Lily tense up again, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. Kazuko, on the other hand, had her mouth closed and was trying not to cry.
You went to the library after being excused from dinner. You three were always in the library, reading a variety of books and textbooks. When you arrived, Lily's eyes no longer carried the childlike twinkle they once did. Kazuko had already begun sobbing quietly. You approached them and raised your arms, signaling for them to hug you. They dashed up to you and threw you into an embrace.
"Guys…. Can we please be siblings again after we die and are reincarnated?" Lily pleaded, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Of course… You two were the best siblings I'd ever had…" Kazuko sobbed. "Hey…. we might be able to esca-" The sound of the bell cut you short. You all stood up and walked out, holding hands.
Kazuko and Lily were dressed in the black coat (?) and grey skirt. They then donned their caps. You were dressed in the same black coat with grey pants/skirt. You, too, put your hat on as you walked with mother while still holding hands. Lily closed her eyes and reflected on all of her good experiences with her siblings. From the time she nearly burned down the kitchen to the time she spoke with Emma in the hospital. Even when Don slapped Ray.
You all approached the gate, your other siblings whispering in fear. Isabella emerged from the shadows and eventually spilled the beans. "The reason you're all here isn't to be adopted; you're here to become products for the demons to devour; your entire purpose was to become food, and my goal was to grow you like cattle." Your other siblings looked terrified as she said this. Some attempted to rush to the gate, only to discover that it was locked.
"HQ has issued a plant reset for Gracefield, which means that children aged 5 to 12 will be shipped out. Emma, Ray, and Norman knew the secret all along but couldn't bring any of you with them. Kazuko and Y/n couldn't come with them because their fractures haven't healed completely.
Kazuko's green eyes closed tightly as she sobbed. Her light brown hair, which was generally braided, was now down. Lily collapsed on her knees, her emerald eyes clouded with sorrow. You, on the other hand, remained motionless. Your (h/c) colored hair is tangled from running. Your (e/c) eyes were now filled with fear as much as acceptance.
Everyone heard a snarl and thundering foot steps as four gigantic beasts emerged from the shadows. Your siblings yelled and attempted to flee, but they were shortly slaughtered. When one of your siblings is murdered, a stem is placed on their chest, immediately puncturing their hearts. The stalks would then open, revealing a lovely but unsettling blood red bloom.
It didn't take long for you, Kazuko, and Lily to fall to the ground. "Hey guys… I love you all… Let's meet soon…" Lily whispered as her purple eyes closed and her grasp on her friends' hands relaxed. "Let's hope we can be reborn into a less harsh fate…" Kazuko stated before dying a moment later. "Mom…. I know you didn't want to do this, I forgive you; please be our mother in our next lives…" you whispered as your eyelids fluttered shut and the temperature dropped by the second. After that, flowers were pierced into your chests.
You had a nightmare about a monster eight years ago. You had dashed into Mother's chamber. "Y/n sweetie.. Monsters aren't real, so they can't hurt you, but even if they were, I'd protect you since you're my child," she explained. Isabella promised to protect you from the monsters, only for you to perish at the hands of the woman you called mother and the monsters you feared so long ago. What irony….

Love this thought. It was how I expected the tpn mange to end honestly.
I love the "came back wrong" trope but from the opposite side.
Imagine you are dead. And then you are RIPPED from the embrace of decay into the world of the living again. Your memories are hazy and you don't recognize any of these people, but they act like they're close to you? Like they love you? So you try to get your memories back, to act like you belong here, but everybody tries to forget you died. And you can't. It is omnipresent. And just trying to grapple with that fact pushes the people who "love" you away, and they're incapable of understanding, and they're so confused, what's wrong N̶̄̀O̶͛͗T̷̉́ ̷͋͝Y̴̎̌Ȍ̴̈U̸̓R NÄM̴̃͑E̵̾̇? And you just need them to understand, you aren't that person! You aren't! You don't know who that person is! You don't know why any of this is happening, but they're unwilling to bend, they keep insisting you are that person, your memories will come back, everything will be normal again, and you want to scream and cry and claw yourself open to show them you're different. Your existence as a being wholly separate from whoever you "used to be" is a sin unto itself. All you can do is scrabble for life and to them, you're killing whoever they loved to do it.
just. lots of fun in that concept, you know?

Before i get to the story you remember our past our justice well i has been updated rewitten and a new title so enjoy this one
The Past We Share, The Justice We Seek
Tumblr media
Lev's narrative: Grace Field, our home, our sanctuary, that's where we all lived, grew up, and felt like we belonged. Belonged, huh? That's what blinded us to the true nature, the true horror of our so-called home.
Originally meant to be an orphanage, a safe haven for children to thrive, be happy, be normal, and make friends, even become a family until they got adopted and sent to new families to live new lives. But when Emma (Hinata) and Norman (Lev) found out the truth about the place they once called home, they couldn't wait to escape with the others. So they went to Ray (Kuroo) to tell him and come up with a plan to bust everyone out before they became demon food, like poor Conny and maybe others.
Now, years have passed, four years later to be exact, with new looks and identities, they are trying to find each other again.
With Hinata:
Hinata was in a wooded area near his home, where he had created a little memorial site. Today was the day he mourned the loss of everyone from Grace Field and asked them to guide him to Norman and Ray. He had skipped volleyball practice to visit the site and started talking, "Hey, Conny, hey, everyone, please. I know you're watching. I know I should have done something sooner. I know I should have done more to protect you guys, and I'm sorry. But please, let me ask you this favor, just one more favor. Now, please lead me to Norman and Ray. Please, I want Ray back. That's all I ask."
Meanwhile, in a wooded area in Tokyo with Kuroo and Lev:
Norman: "Hey, guys, it's Norman. Please, we should have saved you. We are sorry, and it's a guilt I am going to carry with me forever. But please, Conny, if you are listening, please lead me to Ray and Emma, please."
Kuroo: "Norman, is that you? It's Ray."
Lev: "Ray, is that really you? Wait, Captain, you're Ray. Lev, you're Norman. Show our necks."
Kuroo: "Yeah, that will make it more real and believable that I've found you."
They wiped off their makeup and stared in shock and joy until Lev said, "Norman, you've been by me this whole time."
Ray: "Guess I have. Good to see you, Norman. But how did you escape? We were led to believe you died. Well, that's what Isabelle said."
Norman: "Is that woman ever going to stop being a lying bitch?"
Ray: "Nope, it's her specialty. Don't worry, Emma, we'll find you next. Please, one of our siblings, send up a sign that she's alive. I want her back."
In this AU, Shoyo doesn't go to Karasuno; he goes to Fukurodani. His volleyball partner is Akaashi, although Akaashi has a small crush on Shoyo but also likes Bokuto. He knows Hinata is waiting for someone to find him again and has promised not to get in the way.
Meanwhile, with Kuroo and Lev:
"So, Ray, have you found Emma yet?"
"Sadly, not yet. But that doesn't mean I'm going to quit on her, before you start thinking I am."
"Why were you willing to quit when we were younger, by setting yourself on fire?"
"Will you let that go, Norman? And if you must know, I just don't know where to look. Like, seriously, how many orphan kids are there with orange hair? She shouldn't be that difficult to find, right?"
"So, Ray, I'm just going to put this out there, and don't make a big deal out of it. But remember, Emma always said her body felt wrong."
"Yeah, so? Wait, are you saying what I think you are?"
"Not as dense as you act."
Meanwhile, with Hinata:
Hinata was at a wooded area near his house, where he had a little memorial site. That's all I ask. I just want one little clue on who they are now and if they are safe. I miss them, and I miss you guys. I will hold up my promise; I will save the other children. That's an Emma guarantee."
Meanwhile, back in the larger wooded area in Tokyo with Kuroo and Lev, this is a flashback, and Lev and Kuroo don't know they are Norman and Ray yet:
Third-person POV: "Hey, guys, it's Norman. Please, we should have saved you. We are sorry, and it's a guilt I am going to carry with me forever. But please, Conny, if you are listening, please lead me to Ray and Emma, please."
Norman suddenly hears footsteps. "Shit, it's Mom. I'm playing tag. Hide." He looks down from the tree he's hiding in and sees Kuroo and hears him.
Norman jumps out of the tree and says, "Ray, is that you really you? Wait, Captain, you're Ray. Lev, you're Norman. Let's show our necks."
They wipe off the makeup, and they stare in shock and joy until Lev says, "Norman, you've been by me this whole time."
Norman: "Guess I have. Good to see you, Norman. But how did you escape? We were led to believe you died. Well, that's what Isabelle said."
Ray: "Is that woman ever going to stop being a lying bitch?"
Norman: "Nope. It's her specialty. Don't worry, Emma; we'll find you next. Please, one of our siblings, send up a sign that she's alive. I want her back."
Back to the present, after finding each other:
"Sadly, not yet. That doesn't mean I'm going to quit on her, before you start thinking I am."
So, the Ultimate Trio met Lev's family and introduced themselves, told them they are going back to Grace Field House, and put an end
Kuroo, drenched in lighter fluid and holding a lit match, faced Isabelle with a fiery determination. The tension in the air was palpable as everyone watched in anticipation. Isabelle, who had been manipulating their lives for so long, now stood on the precipice of her own downfall.
Kuroo spoke again, his voice filled with anger and retribution, "Isabelle, you thought you could control us, manipulate us, and turn us into sacrifices for your demons. Well, here's a little lesson in karma." With that, he dropped the lit match, and the flames quickly caught on the soaked ground, rapidly spreading throughout Gracefield House.
As the fire engulfed the building, the demons inside were in chaos, their food supply vanishing in flames. The children who had been held captive now had a chance at freedom, and they rushed to safety.
Meanwhile, Hinata had been successfully guiding the younger kids away from the danger. He couldn't help but look back at the burning orphanage, a mixture of emotions coursing through him. The place they had once called home had now become a symbol of their escape and revenge.
Back with Kuroo, Lev, and Isabelle, the flames continued to rage. Kuroo's anger was burning as brightly as the fire itself. Isabelle, once so composed and in control, was now trembling in the face of her own demise.
Lev couldn't bear to watch any longer. He turned away from the flames and rushed to join Hinata, leaving Kuroo and Isabelle behind. He knew that their mission was complete, and it was time to ensure the safety of the other children.
Kuroo, standing amidst the roaring flames, felt a strange mix of satisfaction and emptiness. The burning orphanage was a cathartic release, a symbol of their liberation, and a punishment for the woman who had orchestrated their suffering. But as the fire danced and crackled around him, he couldn't help but think of the past, the friends they had lost, and the scars they would carry forever.
Once the flames had consumed Gracefield House and the immediate danger had passed, Kuroo rejoined Hinata and Lev, and the three of them worked together to ensure the children were safe and comforted. It was a bittersweet victory, as they knew the fight against the demons wasn't over, but for now, they had achieved a significant step toward justice and freedom.
As they looked at the children they had saved and those they would still need to rescue, they knew that the ultimate trio had become more than just a symbol of their intelligence and resourcefulness. They were now a beacon of hope for all the children who had suffered in the orphanages. Emma, Ray, and Norman, or rather, Hinata, Kuroo, and Lev, were determined to make sure no child would ever experience the horrors of Gracefield House again
With Gracefield House reduced to smoldering ruins and the children safe for the moment, the ultimate trio – Hinata, Kuroo, and Lev – had to regroup and plan their next steps. They knew that their mission was far from over. The demons and the system that had allowed these atrocities to continue still existed, and they needed to be stopped.
As the sun began to set, casting an eerie orange glow over the burnt remains of Gracefield House, the group gathered to discuss their plan of action. Alisa, Lev's sister, and her team had provided additional weaponry and support, but they needed a clear strategy to confront the demon hierarchy and put an end to the human farms.
Hinata, Kuroo, and Lev shared the information they had gathered over the years about the demons and their operations. They knew that the demon world was not a monolithic entity, and there were factions among the demons as well. They decided to exploit these divisions, hoping that it would weaken the demons' power and make them more vulnerable.
Their plan was twofold: first, they would gather as much information about the demons as possible, aiming to identify key figures and the locations of other human farms. Second, they would reach out to any sympathetic demons or potential allies within the demon society who might help them from the inside.
Alisa and her team agreed to assist in the information-gathering aspect of the plan. They would infiltrate demon society as much as possible, posing as traders or spies, and try to learn about the various demon factions and power structures. Hinata, Kuroo, and Lev, along with some of the rescued children who had special talents, would focus on finding the remaining human farms and gathering evidence against the demons.
As they embarked on their journey, their group expanded. Other siblings from the orphanage joined them, each with their own unique skills, making their team more versatile and formidable. Together, they ventured into the unknown, determined to put an end to the horrors they had experienced and to secure the safety of all the children who remained trapped.
The days turned into weeks, and the group moved stealthily through the demon world, facing numerous challenges and close calls. They encountered demons who were openly hostile and others who showed curiosity about the human world. In one instance, they discovered a faction of demons who had reservations about the human farms and were willing to cooperate.
As time went on, they managed to gather more information about the demons, their hierarchies, and the locations of human farms. They also made contact with other demons sympathetic to their cause, who shared their belief in ending the cruelty of the human farms.
It was during one such meeting with sympathetic demons that they heard of a powerful figure, a queen among the demons, who was rumored to have a particular interest in the human farms. This queen was known for her cruelty but was also seen as a potential target. If they could reach her, they might have a chance to strike a significant blow against the demons' control over the human farms.
The ultimate trio and their allies knew they had a long and treacherous journey ahead. But their determination to bring justice and freedom to the oppressed children was unwavering. The time for retribution was drawing near, and the battle against the demons was about to reach its climax.
The group continued their journey deeper into the demon world, making allies and gathering crucial information along the way. They knew that their ultimate goal was to confront the powerful queen among the demons who had a vested interest in the human farms. She was the key to dismantling the system that had plagued them for so long.
With each new piece of information, the group felt a growing sense of urgency. They uncovered the locations of several more human farms, and thanks to the efforts of Alisa and her team, they learned about the internal politics of the demon society.
Hinata, Kuroo, and Lev made contact with sympathetic demons who were willing to help them. These demons saw the cruelty of their society and were willing to provide inside information on the queen's activities and whereabouts. It became clear that the queen's involvement in the human farms was driven by her desire for power, and there were demon factions who resented her for it.
As they closed in on the queen's location, the group decided to reach out to these disgruntled demon factions. They believed that a coordinated effort from within the demon society, combined with their own determination and newfound allies, would be the best chance to bring down the queen and disrupt the human farms.
The group's strategy was to create chaos within the demon hierarchy, sparking conflict between the queen and rival demon factions. They would gather evidence of the queen's cruelty and crimes, which could be used to turn her own people against her. By sowing discord, they hoped to weaken her power base.
The plan was set in motion, with the group and their allies infiltrating different demon factions to spread rumors and incite rivalries. They carefully gathered information that could be used as leverage, all while maintaining their own safety. The goal was to create a climate of distrust and suspicion among the demons.
Meanwhile, Hinata, Kuroo, and Lev continued to search for the queen's exact location. They knew that confronting her would be a dangerous endeavor, but it was a risk they were willing to take for the sake of the children who were still suffering in the human farms.
Eventually, the group's efforts paid off. They received a tip from a sympathetic demon about the queen's whereabouts. She was known to reside in a secluded palace, protected by loyal followers. The group knew that a direct confrontation would be risky, but they had no other choice.
With a carefully devised plan, they set out for the palace. Their allies within the demon factions provided support, helping them navigate the palace's defenses and security measures. The final showdown was imminent, and the ultimate trio, along with their allies, was ready to face the queen and bring an end to the demons' tyranny over the human farms.
The fate of the oppressed children and the outcome of their mission rested on their ability to outmaneuver the queen and her loyal followers. The battle that was about to unfold would be their most challenging yet, but they were driven by a fierce determination to secure a brighter future for all the children who had suffered in the shadows of the demon world.
The group had reached the palace, and the tension was palpable. The ultimate trio, along with their allies from the demon factions, had a clear plan in mind to confront the queen and expose her crimes. They knew that the stakes were incredibly high, and there was no turning back now.
As they infiltrated the palace grounds, they encountered the queen's loyal followers, fierce demons who were prepared to protect her at all costs. The battle that ensued was intense, with spells, weapons, and cunning tactics clashing in the grand hallways and ornate chambers of the palace.
Hinata, Kuroo, and Lev showed their true strengths in the heat of the confrontation. Their unique skills, honed by years of survival and planning, made a difference in the battle. The demon factions that had allied with them fought valiantly, driven by their own grievances against the queen and the system she represented.
The group's mission was twofold: to defeat the queen and to ensure that they gathered enough evidence of her crimes. The hope was that by exposing her tyranny, they could sway the remaining loyalists to their side and dismantle the human farms for good.
The queen, aware of the threat the intruders posed, made her stand in the heart of the palace. She wielded formidable dark magic and commanded her loyal followers to protect her. The battle was fierce, and the group faced moments of desperation, but their determination to end the suffering of the children kept them going.
During the battle, Hinata, with his exceptional agility and strategic thinking, managed to get close to the queen. He confronted her directly, demanding answers for the atrocities she had committed against the children. The queen, driven by a desire for power, was unrepentant and defiant.
But as the battle raged on, and the evidence of her crimes became undeniable, the tide began to turn. The loyalist demons, witnessing the queen's cruelty and the determination of the group, started to question their loyalty. Some switched sides, adding to the growing numbers against the queen.
As the loyalist demons turned against her, the queen found herself isolated and vulnerable. She launched a desperate final assault, but the combined efforts of Hinata, Kuroo, Lev, and their allies overwhelmed her. With the queen's defeat, the group secured the evidence they needed to expose her crimes.
With the queen incapacitated, the battle came to an end. The group gathered the evidence they had collected and prepared to leave the palace. But their mission was not complete. They knew that the fight to end the human farms and free all the captive children was far from over.
As they regrouped outside the palace, the ultimate trio and their allies prepared to confront the remaining loyalist demons and dismantle the human farms. The evidence they had gathered would be their most potent weapon in this next phase of the battle. The children who had suffered for so long depended on them, and they were determined to see their mission through to the end.
The fight was far from finished, but for the first time, they had the upper hand. The demons' hierarchy was in disarray, and their grip on the human farms was weakening. The ultimate trio's journey had brought them to this pivotal moment, where they had a real chance to bring justice and freedom to the children who had been oppressed for far too long.
With the queen defeated and evidence of her crimes in their possession, the ultimate trio and their allies regrouped outside the palace. They knew that their mission was far from over, as dismantling the human farms and ensuring the safety of all captive children was their ultimate goal.
The group faced a new challenge in dealing with the remaining loyalist demons who were still loyal to the queen. The evidence they had collected would play a crucial role in turning these demons against her and dismantling the human farm system.
The ultimate trio, along with their allies from the demon factions, began a campaign to reveal the truth about the queen's atrocities. They distributed the evidence to key demon leaders and power-brokers who were disenchanted with the queen's rule. The tide started to turn as the disgruntled demons realized the extent of the queen's cruelty.
Demon factions that had been enemies began to unite against the queen, forming a coalition aimed at dismantling the human farms and challenging her authority. The group's allies played a crucial role in navigating the complex politics of the demon world and rallying support against the queen.
As the coalition grew stronger, the ultimate trio and their allies prepared for the final assault on the human farms. They had learned the layout of the farms from the evidence they had gathered, and they developed a detailed plan to liberate the captive children.
The group, armed with their newfound allies and a sense of purpose, infiltrated the human farms with precision and stealth. Their goal was to free every child, ensuring their safety and a chance for a better future.
As they moved deeper into the farms, they encountered horrific conditions, with children living in fear and despair. The ultimate trio's message of hope and liberation inspired these children to rise up and fight for their freedom.
The liberation of the farms was a complex and dangerous operation, as they had to navigate through demon guards and traps set by the loyalist demons. However, the group's strategic thinking and determination prevailed, and they successfully freed child after child, bringing them into the fold of the growing coalition.
The liberated children, now empowered by the group's example, joined the fight against the remaining loyalist demons. The battle within the farms raged on, but the coalition's numbers continued to grow as more and more demons turned against the queen.
The climax of the battle came when the ultimate trio and their allies confronted the remaining loyalist demons and the queen's inner circle. The final showdown was a fierce and emotional battle, as the group fought not only for their own freedom but for the freedom of all the captive children.
The queen, aware of her impending defeat, attempted to use her dark magic one last time, but she was overpowered by the combined forces of the coalition. As the queen fell, her loyalist demons were left in shock, and some chose to surrender, realizing that the queen's reign had come to an end.
With the queen defeated and the human farms liberated, the ultimate trio and their allies had achieved a victory that had once seemed impossible. The children who had suffered for so long were finally free, and the demon world was forever changed.
The group's mission was a success, and they had dismantled the cruel system that had enslaved them for years. They returned to the human world with the liberated children, where they could finally live in peace and safety, away from the shadows of the demon world.
The ultimate trio, Hinata, Kuroo, and Lev, had fulfilled their promise to protect and save their fellow children, and in doing so, they had brought about a brighter future for all. Their journey had been long and challenging, but their determination and courage had prevailed, proving that even in the darkest of circumstances, hope and justice could triumph.
The ultimate trio, Hinata, Kuroo, and Lev, stood together with the liberated children, their faces marked by the trials they had endured. The weight of their shared experiences, sacrifices, and victories hung in the air. It was a moment of profound relief and realization of their hard-fought success.
As they gazed at the horizon, the group knew that their journey was far from over. The world was forever changed by their actions, but there were still many challenges ahead. Reintegrating the liberated children into the human world and helping them heal from the trauma of their captivity was a priority. The ultimate trio, now heroes of their own story, pledged to support and guide the children on their path to recovery.
The demon world, too, was left in a state of upheaval and transformation. The coalition of demons who had turned against the queen faced the daunting task of establishing a new order that would ensure peace and equality among their kind. The ultimate trio offered their assistance, knowing that their unique perspective could help bridge the gap between humans and demons.
Back in the human world, the ultimate trio found themselves returning to their daily lives. They continued their studies, volleyball practice, and the pursuit of their dreams, but with a newfound sense of purpose. Their bond, forged through years of adversity, remained unbreakable.
In the end, the ultimate trio's story was one of resilience, hope, and the enduring power of friendship. They had faced unimaginable challenges, but they had also discovered their own strength and the capacity to change the world for the better. Their journey had left an indelible mark on both the human and demon worlds, a testament to the unyielding spirit of those who refused to accept a dark fate.
And so, the ultimate trio continued to write their story, one chapter at a time, embarking on new adventures, facing new challenges, and making the most of the second chance they had fought so hard to achieve. They knew that the future held uncertainty, but they faced it with unwavering determination and the belief that together, they could overcome anything.

I wonder how much time Chris has been in coma. He was hit at the head by a bullet but his brain was spared (if i remember, they said that the wound is only exterior) (which is good, i'm not sure they could have done anything if the wound had been actually deep and touched the brain, Chris would have died)
but he has been unconscious for a long time and had still crutches when they find Emma.
So it mean that his awakening was "recent" if he still needed crutches (so reeducation).
How severe was his wound? for how much time was he in coma?
Have you theories about it?
Fun fact: Chris was originally supposed to wake up during the Seven Walls arc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Mystic Code Book Chapter 5)
But yeah after they arrive at the paradise hideout his condition is "conveniently stable" so Shirai could utilize it to facilitate more drama if he needed to or just keep it as is, and he ended up going with the latter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Chapter 126 | Mystic Code Book Chapter 7 Series Timeline)
We don't know the exact date he was shot, but he spent roughly half of October 2047 and at least thirteen days of November 2047 comatose.
After that, it's arbitrary, even if one wants to be canon compliant.
If you want it to take a while for him to wake up, the explanation can be Peter wasn't careful while transferring him from the paradise hideout to Grace Field headquarters, and Chris suffered brain trauma they weren't aware of until they did tests at a hospital.
If you want him to wake up shortly after they arrive in the human world, like in one of Shirai's drafts of chapter 179, you can still have his recovery span the course of months since muscle atrophy occurs rapidly.
Tumblr media
(Mystic Code Book Chapter 6; I would have been up for this version)
Tumblr media
(Muscle Atrophy in ICU Patients article)
You can also prolong his recovery further by introducing a psychosomatic component. In addition to the physical harm that befell him, the mental trauma of the bunker raid resulted in a combination of him not waking up for however long one wishes to keep him in a coma and possibly hampered his physical therapy for months to over a year even after working to rebuild all the strength he lost.
There are a lot of ways you can adapt it to fit within the phrasing presented by the kids when explaining their trip to Emma in the epilogue:
Tumblr media
"Able to walk again" meaning it did take him some time, although we never see him using crutches like Dominic or Sonya.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Chapter 126 | Chapter 157 Bonus Sketch | Chapter 98)
Also it's never focused on, but Sonya uses a cane like her dad post-timeskip.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Chapter 104 | Chapter 106 | Chapter 111)

The Promised Neverland x RC9GN Crossover
So, today was when the poll to decide the title for my new TPN x RC9GN crossover- unfortunately, it seemed that the poll ended in a literal tie. However, I’m leaning into titling it Everlasting Promise! I still have a lot of the crossover to work out because obviously this is not a retelling of the original TPN canon and unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be getting a lot of attention yet.
To be fair, when you take a very niche, almost dead fandom and then cross it with an anime I feel a lot of people forgot about, well, you take what you can. BUT I have zero intention to stop now-
It’s become something of a fun little side project and who knows, maybe once I advance on some other things, I can write a fanfiction for it!
Thank you to everyone who did the poll though! It wasn’t quite what I expected but I’m happy people decided to ‘vote’ so to speak!
To quickly summarize the current plot of Everlasting Promise, the Norrisville High students are in an orphanage- meant to be an equivalent to Grace Field- run by Marci. Randy sort of takes the role of Emma from the TPN canon, and accidentally uncovers the truth of the adopted children of his current ‘foster home’. Suddenly determined to free everyone, Randy - alongside some friends’ help - comes up with a plan to get out before he turns twelve.
As he begins to uncover the truth that went down a long time ago, Randy is now faced with being the current Ninja- having to defeat the demons and make it out to the human realm. Unfortunately, nothing is ever that easy…
Current Cast List
Randy Cunningham - 11, almost 12 years old. He’s meant to take on the role of Emma- as well as the Ninja which has different connotations than the RC9GN canon obviously. An adventurous youth who just wants to escape from the life he currently has.
Howard Weinerman - 11 years old. Randy’s best friend. He doesn’t really the take role of any of the TPN canons, but he thinks his friend’s plan to escape is insane and originally wanted no part in it. After a little bit of convincing- and realizing he might be adopted soon- Howard decides to help. If only to protect Randy.
Debbie Kang - 12 years old, has not been adopted through plot-logic/convenience. Has a role similar to Norman but not quite for obvious reasons. Debbie’s always been a bit skeptical of the orphanage though unlike her RC9GN canon- she keeps these thoughts quiet. Upon learning what’s really going on, she agrees to help Randy but their problems have only just begun.
Theresa Fowler - 11 years old. Information is still pending!
Marci - caretaker of “North Star Orphanage”. She has good intentions but she knows the responsibility she must uphold. As much as it pains her, she turns a blind eye whenever one of the kids never comes back or sends letters after being adopted.
The other characters will be added as the lore continues! If anyone has suggestions for who’s getting adopted out (aka who’s being Conny), let me know!

My recs for fics about Ray having Isabella's eyes.
Ray angst fic recs.
Not really a full rec post like those but I'm always citing snippets of evanescent's always a riddle inside my head (aesop's kin)
I have others but I'm very predictable and I tend to focus on endgame romo REN fics lol and I think you're looking for gen/platonic Ray ones?
If so, banana_slug_army's The Wanting Game is similar to Facsimile in that they aren't too heavy on romantic RE given they're set during the canon storyline and are super young, and both heavily feature Ray angst.
Tumblr is my savior because it's really the only place the Promised Neverland fandom is active besides Ao3 but I need good fics
Anyways have some sillly Santa hats

Hiii! I have a TPN request for Emma and Ray (seperately).
Them x reader who is bubbly, childish, energetic, and kind gets shipped out and the next time they see them (reader was with Norman after they got shipped out), they were more reserved, soft-spoken, and mature.
Tysm and have a great day! P.S. Stay hydrated.
This genuinely sounds like something I would read, lol. I hope you enjoy, even though this isn't a total proof read. Just how i remembered. I did mainly just Ray, and im planning on making another version with Emma. This will be based off the manga, but I can make an anime version too. Here you go!
Tw: Violence, slight trauma, use of Y/n, slight angst at end.
Introduction Ray+Emma
After you got shipped out, you went to Lambda with Norman. That was definitely an eye opening moment for you, seeing all of the test subjects as you walked through the halls. You watched as they screamed, or tried to resist, but it was all futile. You watched as they morphed into horrific creatures, their wails echoing throughout the lab. That one moment, the energetic Y/n that everyone knew and loved faded. Throughout the months you spent alone in a small white box, your mind began to shape itself to your new environment. You never really knew what it was like to be injected with unknown treatments, or to be held down so they could test on you. That Era of your life left a mental scar, one that could probably never be healed.
Ray: Seeing you again.
"Long time, no see."
You smile softly at Emma and Ray as Norman stood by your side. Ray's facial expression went from stoic instantly it shock. Was this really you?
"... Y/n?"
Before you knew it, you felt something collide with you a little harshly. He had sprinted towards you, hugging you tight as if he would lose you again if he let you go for even a second. For the first time, Norman, Emma and you saw him cry. He was crying into your shoulder. That was... Unexpected. Half of you thought that he would act like he didn't care. You hug him back. Eventually, he spoke.
"Don't leave us like that again, Idiot."
You chuckled slightly.
"I missed you too, Ray."
Ray: Noticing your personality change
Back at the farm, you constantly would bug Ray, or try and play games with him. So when he asked you if you wanted to play a board game with him, and you didn't light up with that cute face you made when you were excited, he was confused.
"Hey, dumbass, do you want to play monopoly with Norman, Emma and me?"
You glanced up from the papers you were writing. You smile softly.
"Oh, I'm good, thanks."
... He blinked. Were they being serious?
"... What?"
You don't glance up this time, continuing to write some boring papers.
"I said I'm good, thank you, though."
Something was wrong. You *never* declined the opportunity to play a board game. Were they sad? Did he do something wrong that upset them? He frowned hard. Maybe they are just tired. He leaves, to go back to where Norman and Emma were.
A couple days after that, he walks by to see you... Reading? No, clearly something is wrong. You used to HATE books. You would only ever read them if Ray read them to you. He approached you, frowning again.
"What's wrong?"
Huh? You look up, a bit confused.
"What do you mean? Nothing's wrong."
"Did we upset you?"
You get even more confused.
"No..?"
He takes the book from your hands, seeing what it even is that you're reading. ... Pride and Prejudice? Yeah, something is definitely wrong.
"I'm sorry you feel neglected enough to read this."
Your confused expression increases in strength.
"Ray, nothing is wrong. What are you even talking abou-"
"-Y/n, you don't read. You've never read before, unless I was reading it to you. And last week you said you didn't want to play monopoly. Clearly something is wrong. Have you been getting enough sleep?? Sleeplessness affects your energy and mood. Are you depressed or something? You know you can always talk to-"
"Ray!"
You yell, after a couple times he finally seemed to stop talking. You sigh, standing up from your seat.
"Ray, I'm fine. Truly. I just..."
You rub your temples.
"I just matured. Back at the farm, we were together. We all helped each other out, and that gave us all hope. But when you're alone, in an environment like the Lambda, you just... Change. I can't help the fact that I had to mature before I was supposed to. But I'm telling you, I'm fine."
He stares at you for a while, before nodding in understanding. He gives you your book back.
"Sorry for bothering you, then."
He leaves, before you could stop him. You sigh, looking down at your book. You really had changed.
