🍬-You had dressed up in a fancy gown and Tai traded in his yellow jacket for a nice tux. You had to refrain from keeping your hands to yourself all evening. That didn’t mean you didn’t constantly have your eyes on his dashing frame. 

🍬-You felt awkward in the gown. Not used to the changes your body was making for the pup. Tai was quick to reassure you that you were beautiful as ever, he even said you were glowing.

🍬-You bashfully gave him a kiss for his sweet words. 

🍬-It was an event to celebrate heroes and their hard work. 

🍬-Heroes mingled all around the ballroom. Some still in their hero costumes and others dressed up in various dresses and suits. Tai had been engaging with everyone that came up to him so he had yet to help himself to the catering table.  

🍬-You were snuggled into his side while he spoke to various heroes but thought you should leave his side to fill up a plate for him. He isn’t shy about eating in front of people. His quirk wouldn’t let him but you knew he felt pressured to chat with a few people before getting something to eat. 

🍬-You knew how much his quirk makes him constantly hungry so you gave him a tight squeeze on his waist before departing from his side. He shot you a questioning look but relaxed when he saw you point to the catering table.  

🍬-You threw him a kiss before making you way over. There was a huge spread so you thought to get two plates so you got at least two of everything. Your Alpha would polish it off in no time. 

🍬-You had just put a few pieces of chicken on his plate when you overheard a high pitched voice. 

🍬-“Ew, doesn’t she know that the catering is there to look at and not to eat.” You heard a voice sneer. 

🍬-“Two platefuls too.” A voice snickers with her.

🍬-You knew your mask was gonna slip anytime soon so you quickly detached yourself from him once more and told him you were gonna go to the ladies' room. 

🍬-Your pace was quick. As soon as you got into a stall your composer broke. Tears fell from your eyes and quiet sobs left your mouth. You knew people's petty words shouldn't bother you but they did.

🍬-You were in your stall no less than two minutes before you heard the bathroom door open. You straightened up, quickly ripping off a piece of toilet paper to dab your eyes.   

🍬-“Y/N? Sweets? What’s wrong?” You heard Tai’s concerned voice. 

🍬-“Nothing, Honey. The pup was just making me feel a little nauseous.” You sniffled.

🍬-“None of that, Omega. It's not good for the pup.” He soothed, brushing your hair away and kissing your head. 

🍬-You nodded along with him. “Ya, your right.” You wobbled, tired of crying. 

🍬-He still held you in his arms while he made his way to the napkin dispenser. He plucked a few before holding it up to your nose. You blew. He threw the used napkins away before plucking a few more. 

🍬-This time drying your eyes. 

🍬-“Now tell me what has my Omega so upset.” He prodded. 

🍬-“A few girls were talking about me when I was at the food table. They said some mean things.” You sniffled but kept your emotions in check. Stress was not good for the pup and you wouldn’t let those vile girls cause you pup harm. 

🍬-“I see.” He growled. “Do you know which agency they were with?”

🍬-“No. I didn’t recognize them, Tai.” You answered. 

🍬-“Mmm. And they said you weren’t pretty?” He continued.  

🍬-“Well, not directly but that’s what they implied.” You mumbled, burrowing your head in his neck, scenting him for comfort. 

🍬-“I see.” He growled, eyes narrowing. How dare they pick on his mate. He was gonna make sure they got what was coming to them but first, his Omega was his main concern. 

🍬-“You are the most beautiful, caring, and kindest Omega I know. I don’t want to hear you are anything less than my gorgeous mate ever again.” He peered into your slightly red eyes. Making his point clear. 

🍬-A small smile graced your face. 

🍬-“There is my sweet Darling.” He purred, leaning down to scent you. 

🍬-You giggled as he pressed a few kisses to your neck. “Tai!” You smiled.  

🍬-“What? You are too hard to resist.” He smirked, happy you were smiling.  

🍬-“Wait until we get home.” You grinned. 

🍬-“But that is hours away, Sweets! I’m almost whimpering at the thought.” He pouted. 

🍬-“Well, you are just going to have to wait, Alpha.” You chuckled, loving his pouting face. 

🍬-“Well, until then I think I need another round of that delicious food you brought me.” He stated, finally lowering you to your feet but still keeping you close. 

🍬-You shied away at his words. 

🍬-“None of that, Sweets. I’ll be by your side the whole time. No one is gonna say anything while your big intimidating Alpha is around.” He was quick to try and lighten your mood. 

🍬-“Yes, big and intimidating.” You poked at his soft belly. 

🍬-“Dang right, Sweets.” He grinned. 

🍬-You were tucked into his side as he filled up plates for the both of you. His big hands are able to hold four plates easily. You sat down at a table in the corner. You sat next to each other but once he saw you were still worried about eating in public he pulled you into his lap. 

🍬-“None of that. You need to make sure you eat for the pup. I want you both happy and healthy.” He purred, lifting a piece of food to your mouth. 

🍬-You blushed but let him feed you. You felt safe in his arms and didn’t hesitate to eat any longer. You both enjoyed the wonderful food and sat laughing and giggling in the corner. 

🍬-Your own little happy bubble. 

Bonus: 

🍬-Fatgum did not let it go.

🍬-He tracked down the bullies with the help of his hero friends and found out which agency they worked for. A few quick words with the top hero at the agency, and he was informed that they were a bunch of new interns, barley starting their hero career. 

🍬-Too bad for them. They were instantly fired, for their less than hero-like behavior and blacklisted from any agency they would try and apply to. They wouldn’t find anyone willing to hire them anytime soon. 

🍬-No one messed with his mate and got away with it.
