brainrot so bad i saw this and immediately thought of dabi and hawks. i might try to make a fic of it but i'm not great at longer pieces so idk we'll see but if anyone sees this and decides to make a hotwings fic of this i'm begging you to tag me or send it to me OR if u know a fic like this already written pls send i'm on the ground rolling around in excitement at this idea

He’s lost his footing and a riptide’s caught him and his lungs might be full of water, or maybe it’s his ears—he doesn’t know, he can’t think. All he knows is that it’s happening again and this time there’s nobody to pull him out.  One foot in front of the other. That’s what he needs to do. Best Jeanist’s agency isn’t too far from here. If he can just—get there—then he can be safe, and away from prying eyes, and maybe they can figure out what to do about the situation.

the two stood across the room from each other. hawks, with one of his feathers drawn as a blade. dabi, with his back against the wall, gazing at his feet. they both drew ragged breaths, exhausted from both verbal and physical combat.

hawks spoke quietly. “i couldn’t have betrayed you.” the scarred man in front of him lifted his head to meet his eyes. “i tried to tell you. you said you already knew. i was as honest as i knew how to be.”

dabi let out a low chuckle, words dripping from his mouth like venom as he spat them at his lover. “do you think i wanted to love you? knowing where you came from and what your mission was?”

hawks took a step back as dabi struggled forward. the grip on his blade faltered as his heart ached. 

“don’t you suppose that every hour we were together i was thinking ‘he’s just pretending?’”

hawks found his grip again, hand tightening around the handle of his feather and baring his teeth as he fought salty tears threatening to spill from their native spring. “i wasn’t! i loved you!”

“and i loved you so much i let you pretend!” dabi’s voice cracked as he yelled, an agonizing sound that hawks would have once made fun of him for, when things were different between them. hawks’ gaze fell to the floor

Name: Hokuto (火玖翔) Takami

⇢ They called him Tou-Tou when he was a baby as a nickname (:

Hero Name: Phoenix

⇢ He got his hero name from the nickname Hawks gave him.

⇢ His wings become engulfed in blue flames when he’s using his quirk to its full potential, making him look like a Phoenix.

Age: Varying (it depends on what stage in his life he’ll be drawn at (: )

⇢ He’s 22 when he starts his hero agency and lives on his own.

Occupation: Hero! Former UA student

Build: Slim muscular

Skin tone: Light with cool undertones.

Hair: White

Eyes: Blue with a yellow ring in the middle.

Appearance: Hokuto has big white wings that turn blue when he uses his fire quirk. His wings are flame resistant, however they can burn if he uses his fire for too long.

Personality: He’s calm, loves to joke, and gets embarrassed easily when his dads tease him.

Family

Hawks and Dabi are Hokuto’s parents. Hokuto calls Hawks pops (papa earlier in life) and Dabi dad.

In this AU Touya became a hero, going by the name Dabi he got when he was a delinquent. Hawks and Touya fought many times as hero and villain when they were younger, but ended up falling in love and having Hokuto later on. They were young parents, having Hokuto when they were in their mid twenties (a few years into the relationship).

⇢ Touya was still severely burnt, and spent a few years hanging around villains. Though he never became the infamous villain dabi, he was part of some organized crime.

⇢ Dabi fought against Hawks while Hawks was in training. They fought quite a few times, and they hated one another.

⇢ This stopped when he was taken in by the public safety commission. Endeavor didn’t know Touya was still alive until years later.

⇢ Touya wants to reconnect with his family to give Hokuto a bigger family in case anything happens to him.

⇢ Hawks’ mother fled, and doesn’t know about Hokuto. Hawks hasn’t had contact with her in years.

You know what? They would accidentally cancel themselves as an unplanned side effect of their attempt to deplatform the other. Backfiring galore. And they also absolutely blame each other for their poor social media managing skills

That power…Dabi had assumed that he would never touch it again. That maybe what had lied dormant for his entire life had gone back into hibernation. But it’s been here this entire time. He holds his right arm out and tries to imagine a thin layer of frost encasing the skin, just to test his theory, and almost immediately, a thick block of ice forms and shoots towards the wall.  Okay, so he doesn’t exactly have control but — holy shit.

Btw Hawks most definitely almost leaves without (trans) Touya when Touya goes into labor.

Like from the moment Touya says he's having contractions, Hawks is ready to go but, y'know, they have to wait until a certain point before they can actually go to the hospital.

Which makes for a very flighty and anxious soon-to-be-dad Hawks as he times contractions and does everything he can to help Touya with the pain and discomfort of early-labor.

So when Touya's water breaks and it's actually time to go, Hawks gets a bit ahead of himself.

And by that I mean when he goes out to make sure the hospital bag is still in the car and that they have everything while Touya is getting cleaned up and putting some different pants on, Hawks gets into the car and starts backing out of the driveway before realizing Touya isn't next to him.

Touya is, however, standing at the front door, taking a video with his phone to act as proof for when he tells everyone about how his husband nearly left without him while he was in labor.
