What do you recommend doing in Paris? I’m going for a week in March and am working on my itinerary!
This is so embarrassing late, but I hope you can forgive me and that people may find it useful!
First of all, my biggest recommendation: research, research and research!! And not just the weather or the hotel, find everything that Paris has to offer and think carefully about what you will enjoy the most and how to do it. For example, if I had known that Notre Dame was so close to being reopened we would have gone next summer.
Now we can start with my biggest disappointment:
❌ THE LOUVRE!!! You hear it constantly but it really is humongous, AND very difficult to navigate! If you can splurge on it get a guide or do it with a tour. You might think that you want to explore it on your own, but trust me, you don't! I almost had a panic attack trying to find the exit. I genuinely did not enjoy it. I really would recommend getting a guide or making an extremely detailed plan on how you want to visit it and what you want to see. Trust me you just can't do it all. I did love seeing the Niké of Samothrace and for some reason I was extremely enchanted by Marie Antoinette's picnic set. I can't really think of anything else that I enjoyed besides the jewellery gallery. I have said this to my friends and family, if they are visiting Paris and they don't have much time or aren't super interested in seeing something there... They have my permission to skip it.
On with what I enjoyed (everything else!!):
💜 Saint Chapelle 😍😍😍 Absolute must, it's really a 30min max visit in my opinion and it could be cheaper but it's absolutely worth it!!! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous, don't skip it.
🔵 Boat ride on the Seine: it's ok, but not a must imo, it fills time but I feel like you're just going to see the same sights walking around all week (If you want to do something like that a dinner on a boat might be cooler).
💛 The lights on the Effiel Tower ✨✨✨ So worth it, so enchanting, just... Hearing that collective "OHH". We had to wait almost 40 minutes until 11PM because we had missed it and it was so so worth it. I'd recommend getting there a bit sooner and choose from where you want to see it. We were at the Champs the Mars, super close to the tower and I really liked it there.
🤍 Montmartre: very cute but I would explore it on my own, we were on a free walking tour and the guide was SO depressing, she kept going on and on about the miserable lifes of the artists of the Boheme (which I get it's a big part of Montmartre, but she seriously only talked about death for two hours and I don't feel like I saw any cute streets!!) Sacre Coeur is beautiful and free so don't miss it, the queue is long but quick.
🤎 OPERA GARNIER 😍😍😍 It's another thing that could be cheaper but SO WORTH IT, my mother was super impressed by it, we kept saying "oooohhh" all the time. There will be loads of people in your pictures though, so be patient to get a good one or go super early.
🟢 Galeries Lafayette: beautiful place to just take a break and look at the Chaumet jewellery you're not going to buy. The rooftop is nice and the only place with a free panoramic view of Paris but it's far from the best one (It's the only one we did because my mother has brutal vertigo so I can't recommend others sorry). Staff was rude though!!
💙 Latin Quartet: gorgeous, we did it with the best guide I've ever had so I found it very interesting, I actually thought the Shakespeare and Company was a tourist trap and I ended up almost crying after he told us the story about it (the original one and the current). The Luxembourg Gardens are GORGEOUS, and I'm not someone who really likes parks or gardens but there's something about it! While you're at the Latin Quarter PLEASE!!! Don't skip on Saint Suplice!! It looks very rough on the outside and it's not perfect on the inside either but it was such a delightful surprise! I still think about the virgin Mary on the altar, it looked like she was in a cloud, I had never seen anything like it. We didn't see Saint Germain des Prés because I didn't know it existed, but they are very close, so do both!! (Both are free by the way!!)
⚪ Le Arc the Triumph: I mean it's there? It's big? It's a beautiful end to le champs-élysées? Nothing more to add 😅 Oh, don't be an idiot like me looking for the way to cross, there's a very obvious subterranean access that I completely mistook for the metro. If my mother didn't have vertigo it's probably the place I would have liked to go up and take pictures, but I thought it was quite expensive.
🩶 Museum d'orsay: I thought it was very good, it's definitely a beautiful place and nicely organised museum, nothing like the Louvre, it was a breeze doing it..... But you have to like impressionism and post impressionism. I don't love it, though it was nice seeing lots of paintings you've seen in history classes, and there were some Pre-Raphaelites that I really like and didn't know were there. There's also lots of Rodin, and if you don't like him like me you won't feel guilty by skipping his museum. Basically, a nice two/two and a half long hours museum, not super expensive, but check to see if you would even enjoy it.
💖💖💖 VERSAILLES 💖💖💖 Oh boy did I LOVE IT!!!! Such a cliché but it really is so beautiful!!! We changed plans once we were in Paris from guided gardens and audio guide interiors to fully guided after the disaster with the Louvre and I'm so glad we did. I would have loved to stay a full day there but we didn't have time. The gardens really impressed me, more than the interiors, which surprised me a lot! I would have loved to see the petit Trianon as well but it was very easy to get there by public transport.
 Hotels: I'm extremely happy with my choice and I was very worried because you hear constantly that Paris hotel rooms are terrible but we stayed HERE and I thought it had a fantastic value for money.
☑️ Restaurants: honestly we had so little time that we skipped lunch one day and the rest was very much wherever. But I had researched two places and they ended up being quite good:
Le Mistral: Literally eating looking at the Seine for 17euros the menu???? And the food was very good????? I still can't believe this place existed. Also the staff was super friendly. A normal nice place that had good food and amazing location.
Chez Pippo: Not french but a really good Italian place not super expensive super close to the Eiffel Tower, it seemed like a nice restaurant that People who live in Paris actually go to.
Hopefully this helped. But if anyone has any questions please ask me or feel free to add anything I might have missed ❤️❤️❤️
Also!!! We only went for basically two and a half days and I would really recommend at least 5 if you're only going to it once in your life (living in Spain I know that I can go back any long weekend if I want to, but keep that in mind if it's the journey of a lifetime).

✦⏳Hourglass.

part 2.
Tumblr media
Pitter. Patter.
The soft drumming of rain gradually grew louder, pulling you not-so-willingly out of your trance. Fingers fumbling with the hem of your shirt, you tilt your head up to see the clock, slowly ticking away, almost as if reminding you that time is running out. But how could it be? How could someone have all the time in the world, but at the same time, feel that with each tick of the clock, each grain of sand falling from the hourglass, each passing moment, that their time was slowly running out?
How long had you last seen your boyfriend? How long has it been since he had walked through the newly renovated apartment door that you had just planned out together a few months ago? It was just like yesterday that he kissed you on the lips with a cheeky smirk, continuing on with picking out colors for the wood like nothing had happened. How long ago did he show off his catwalk, that he claimed to be better than all 3 of his cats? How long ago was it that he cooked you a homemade meal, that you both enjoyed while watching your favorite movie? How long ago was it that he walked in with that hourglass, setting it gently on the little table next to the couch?
It was just a little gift from his tour, that he claimed to have reminded him of you. But how the tables have turned. Now the soft, soothing sound of the tiny particles of sand falling sounded like someone holding a drum near your ear, reminding you of him. Of everything about him. Of the way his eyes looked as if they held the galaxy when he saw his cats. Of the way he kissed you all those times in the morning, the sun gently brushing on his face, making it almost seem as if he was glowing. Of the way he practically clung to you the whole time on the elevator up the Effiel Tower, and the way he would be too stubborn to admit it afterwards.
The rain that was once gently tapping against the window had long changed to a violent series of drumming. Your eyes wander over to your phone, almost as if praying you would get a notification from him. It didn't matter what. A call, a text, anything. Something to let you know that he still wants you. That he still needs you.
But nothing came.

Miraculous episode 5: Simon deux
After episode 4's phone call, the following morning sees zoe and nino arriving at paris Airport to meet 'chloe' to which nine understands why zoe wanted at least someone else to arrive. Much to their shock, chloe looks and acts more respectable with a sea of other visiting students. Their headmaster wears glasses and assures them chloe is her better self now and later on, they'll be present at the parisian school convention to show how effective his methods are. As they leave, zoe notes an ocean green glare in one of chloe's eyes.
For the akumatised villain, one of those students is an aspiring hypnotist who meets Simon, which gives cerise a powerful idea, to akumatise the student with Simon powers to get the heroes to reveal their secrets. So, she precedes to follow through and akumatise the student, however somehow the akuma duplicated to Simon upon possession, sharing the powers and actually allowing the student to speak to cerise, confused. Nonetheless, they still accept the power and plan to crash the convention, with Simon let in by the student as a guest.
At school, our heroes are convened by Lloyd to discuss chloe's return and the convention, which bustier's methods will also be on display. However, when zoe says about chloe's strange behaviour and eye glare, Lloyd's calm voice and facade begin to wane as he asks everyone what they're doing, to which everyone but zoe's busy as chloe's asked her to tour with her the convention to which he shouts to not do that. He then calms down and says if who he thinks it is, is there, he needs insurance, asking zoe to stay behind whilst everyone else prepares. When marinette leaves, Lloyd bumps into her, dropping something in her pocket. Lloyd gives zoe a resistance spell to hypnotism for the night.
At the convention, the group prepares with eyes out to prove Lloyd's accusations are incorrect with zoe and chloe walking around and Lloyd himself patrolling outside with felix as he's not involved with the project. Felix spots Simon entering backstage, leading them to believe an akuma's active, but Lloyd patches into the Internet to view the convention main stage where chloe leaves zoe in a dense crowd to help the headmaster prove his methods. It's one that bedazzles nearly everyone in the building, except zoe, who's seeing most of the group being drawn towards it, save it be adrien and kagami, which Lloyd believes is due to the sentimonster bit, referring to it as the senti bit instead, which pleases felix. Then, zoe gets pulled away by marinette who's somehow unaffected but asks where on earth the other users are as cat noir and ryuko show up as well as the akumatised villains taking over the crowd, but unable to hypnotise the headmaster due to those glasses he's wearing. As zoe seals the exits to contain the damage, marinette remembers Lloyd's accident earlier and noticed that in the pocket are her earrings as if he wanted her to have them back. After transforming a brief brawl ensues, allowing the villains to escape, which Lloyd pursues as felix snaps the others out of it.
In the shadow of the effiel tower, Lloyd corners the two as cerise tells them to hypnotise him. Well, it partly works (apart from the risk mark in season 4 as well as here. Lloyd usually has immunity but somehow only got affected these two times.) Whilst the heroes slowly begin the trap, Lloyd knows he's affected but not hypnotised, although still feels the urge to reveal secrets through a truth or lie premise as he still has most control and taunts cerise she can only make him reveal things, but he can choose himself.
"The truth about tonight was to confirm that zoe's unnerving encounter was real and hopefully put the headmaster rumour to rest" before recounting the legend.
"When I found out a very close friend of mine lost their dear pug after an angel asked for it to happen, I took one of the angel's eyes as retribution."
Before saying the third, the team spring into action and free the akuma.
Back at the convention, everyone's fine but the headmaster's gone. Bustier's method is voted the best one and the students are asked to return to the airport, however felix freed chloe during the entire thing, as Lloyd talked the legend to him too, deciding that although chloe was a terrible person, she didn't deserve to be the headmaster's puppet. No one does.
In a shocking turn of events, chloe decides to stay after Lloyd says the headmaster would know she's been freed. However he also says there are worse fates than the headmaster and if chloe doesn't properly change, someone far worse would come for her...
We end the episode in the chaotic scene as cerise let's the headmaster out, but proves she's too smart to be hypnotised by him, so impressed, he gives her a way to contact him, saying he knows how cerise can get what she wants, as long as he can progress his own plans too.
The episode end card is of importance here as it shows hints towards Lloyd's past with his plans, present and future. The music sting is more ominous here, alluding to what Lloyd says in the episode.
Past: the midway like place from dead end and one-shot with a gorb as well as the elevator.
Present: the episode's events in the centre of it all. Lloyd faces back, whilst zoe faces frontwards. Marinette is in the middle.
Future: a dark visage resembling the surface of a lake and a school floor merged together.

#lego #legoarchitecture @legoarchitecturemoc @lego @effile_tower #effiletower The Eiffel Tower (/ˈaɪfəl/ EYE-fəl; French: tour Eiffel [tuʁ ɛfɛl] (listen)) is a wrought-iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. Locally nicknamed "La dame de fer" (French for "Iron Lady"), it was constructed from 1887 to 1889 as the centerpiece of the 1889 World's Fair. Although initially criticised by some of France's leading artists and intellectuals for its design, it has since become a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognisable structures in the world. The Eiffel Tower is the most visited monument with an entrance fee in the world: 6.91 million people ascended it in 2015. It was designated a monument historique in 1964, and was named part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site ("Paris, Banks of the Seine") in 1991. When Cyrus didn't take her seriously on the "hand on shoulder" comment, she came to a skidding stop. "Huh? I wasn't joking.". She tilted her head in an confused manner. Britney then tried to remember her previous topic. "Now what were we doing again..? Oh yeah! So for starters there are currently eleven of us.".
She began to count with her fingers. "Britney me!), Destiny, Terry, Tim, Trevor, Felicia, Finley, Alexei, Layla, Abby, and Isaiah.". She said very quickly. "People come and go all the time, but that's who we have so far!".
She held on Cyrus hand and dragged him along. He came across an abandoned, eerie looking station with faded letters that read, "S-m-n B--s-". "Creepy, eh? Supposedly he's at rest now, but sometimes I feel like he lingers. If railizens even have souls that is..". She shrugged, and was vague on who "he" was. Again, typical of her to leave out details.
Britney continued her tour, exhibiting the whole park. This included everyone's stations, other ghost sightings (especially Tower Johnny, who resides in the park's center, the Effiel Tower. Sometimes he messes with the electricity of the park.), the directors quarters, and possibly more. She explained everything a bit too fast, but regardless what's done is done. "Any questions?".
Her head perked up at the mention of ghosts in the office. "Ooh! I'd love to meet them sometime!".
@the-haunted-office
What is he doing here? At this amusement park? He doesn't find it to be very amusing. For one, there are people. Lots of people. Running around everywhere. Some of the little ones are screaming or crying or carrying on in one way or another.
...This is not his preferred atmosphere...
But his cohort recommended he go here to get out and have some fun for a bit, so he supposes he may as well walk around and see what all the fuss is about.
It's too much fuss.
Frustrated and overwhelmed, Cyrus leaves the park and goes off into the woods nearby, where he hunkers down in his Nightcrawler form until it's late at night, at which point he emerges and tries the park again. It's closed this time. Dark. A lot quieter. Much more to his tastes.
Still as a Nightcrawler, he strides around, poking his head into booths and staring around with his huge, black hole eyes. The rest of him resembles a pair of billowy white pants stuck over a pair of stilts, making him look rather like a kid in a Halloween costume. Like this, he explores the park in peace.
@the-haunted-office
The park was full of life! Crowds moved from each way, laughing and carrying on. The sounds of screams of joy or fear came from the people boarded on the surrounding rides. Families were in line, ready for meet and greets, or to watch their favorite live show. It really was a fun place to be.
Although, as Cyrus disappeared for the night, the park became dead silent. The crowds dispersed, leaving only one or two night security guards, and most importantly the railizens themselves. Some of them were exhausted, so they stayed inside their stations to rest for the night. Others took the opportunity for free time.
Trevor stayed up in his garage to work on something. Britney was out to explore, and lastly Layla was up listening to some of her tunes. We move to the back of the park, where Terry is trying to get some rest.
He growled in an irritated manner, and covered his head with a pillow. "Damnit Layla!". He had explained to her in the past to turn it down. Since he is the park favorite, he usually gets groups of people lined up past the park hours. It was exhausting to say the least.

It was a place where he felt happy and at peace whenever he had the chance to stay there. Where he fell in love for the first time and had his first heartbreak, a lot of firsts for him were in Paris. MASTERLIST || NEXT
Tumblr media
As soon as the plane touched the floor Jungkook instantly felt at home even if his home wasn't Paris it was still felt like home to him. Everything about Paris made him feel at peace and in a place, he couldn't help but fall in love with more and more every time they came here. Pulling his bag through the airport calling Namjoon to let him know that he'd arrived in Paris safely like the leader had requested but he had to have been sleeping because there was no answer from him so he just put his baseball cap on paired with some sunglasses and walked out, keeping his head down as he walked.
The joys of the break coming like this meant that no one knew where he was heading, not even his manager knew that Jungkook had flown to France he didn't want everyone following him around he wanted it to be just like his old times there when he was a kid and the last summer he was there. This break was about spending time alone and just having some time to breathe, no paparazzi, no fans. He adored all of ARMY but sometimes he just needed some time to himself.
It was almost four years to the date when the boys all took a break from their idol life to spend some time off and away from everything and just like today he flew to Paris. One of the places he'd loved as a kid since he would always come here on his summer breaks,
"Bonjour," He greeted one of the cab drivers who nodded at him through the rearview mirror with no response, waiting for the address to be given to him. Jungkook could recite the address as if it was his own home address, it had never left his brain even in the four years he'd been away from it.
"234 Louvre Road please," It was the address of an apartment above a book shop, one that he'd spent most of his inside of when he came to Paris with his grandmother, and the one he'd been in four summers ago the last time he was alone in the city without the boys around. Of course, they'd been there many times since but Jungkook could never break away from them or the paparazzi long enough to go and visit the small shop.
"Right away Sir, what brings you to the city of love?" Jungkook assumed he was trying to make some conversation to help pass the time so he just decided to speak back to him. The man was balding and had a thick black beard, he couldn't have been any older than his 50's.
"I've missed coming here, so I decided it was time for a visit." He chuckled to himself even though what he was saying wasn't funny. It was the nervous chuckle he did whenever he didn't know what to say, he turned and began staring out of the window as he passed by everything. Nothing had changed, the views were still spectacular no matter the angle you looked from, everything was still just as beautiful as ever. The sun was already starting to set in the city and it made everything look more impressive than it already did, the fairy lights were just starting to twinkle on the Effiel Tower.
"No story of a long lost love living here? I've heard them all kid and I can read you like a book," The man laughed softly as he pulled onto the main road, Jungkook's heart sank at the thought of you even still being in Paris, you would have been long gone by now there was no way of knowing.
"No. Not for me." He lied, laughing it off as though it wasn't weighing him down so he kept his attention on the view out of the window, looking at all the different people that were around him. All of the couples running along together, families huddled together as they toured the city of love.
This was supposed to be a creative break for him, Namjoon told him that he thought Jungkook could have a breakthrough with some lyrics he'd been struggling on so he was hoping Namjoon was right about that. Paris was always one of the places Jungkook felt most creative, the art and the people all inspiring him. It was where he'd written a lot of the love songs that were on his mixtape...That wasn't released yet, Jungkook didn't think it was ready but he was sure after this break it would be. He just needed something...More.
"Here you go sir," Jungkook tipped the taxi driver and got out at the small book shop.
It was just the way he remembered it from his childhood and the summer he'd spent there. The small shop nestled right between the river and across from the Effiel tower, the view from the apartments above it was honestly breathtaking and made him wonder how the place was still just a book shop instead of a B&B but he didn't mind, the place was still there, still his private little nesting place. He wondered if the inside had changed all over the last four years of him being gone, Grace was always crazy about changing everything inside. Going on about how the decor was wrong, or the shelves needed rearranging whenever she didn't like something in its place. He was about to head inside of the shop when he froze in place, his hand on the handle of his suitcase tensing while his knuckles turned when he saw you standing there.
Reaching across the counter probably speaking French to one of the customers since it was practically your native tongue the way you spoke it, your hair was longer than it was Four summers ago and you seemed happier somehow. The corners of your lips were turned up in a smile and it made his stomach flip and kick the longer he watched you engaging with someone. Although he had no idea what you were saying he was making it up in his head, imagining what you would say to someone who was asking for a book recommendation. It had been one of your favourite things to do in the shop, you'd read so many different books Jungkook always wondered how you kept it all in your head.
"Excusez-Moi monsieur, Allez-Vous à l'intérieur?" Excuse me, sir, are you going in?" Jungkook was pulled from his daydream about you and turned to see a small elderly lady holding a stack of books in her hand, he'd hardly heard her and he doubted that he would if she hadn't have tapped his shoulder to gain his attention. She frowned at him as she watched him, Jungkook could have sworn she looked an awful lot like Grace but he couldn't be sure.
"Oh, Oh...Sorry. No." He stepped out of the way darting to hide down the side of the shop when you looked up. There was a bell above the door that alerted whoever was working that someone had entered so you glanced up, right as Grace walked through the door with a stack of books in her hand.
"Bonjour!" He heard your voice and it was just as sweet as he remembered it from before, you still sounded like you which was good since you were you and not some alien that was disguised to look like you...He knew it was impossible. But his flight over here had been cramped full of dreams about you...Nightmares rather. One stemming from an Alien abduction to the next one of you flipping out at him when you see him.
"There was an odd boy outside, I'm sure I know him." That was his cue to leave that meant that the woman had been Grace. Grace was like a mother to you so he knew you would have told her all about him and why he'd left you, he dragged his suitcase down the cobbled road trying to find another taxi service. He couldn't stay in the apartment above the bookshop you were working in. It would feel too weird but his heart was aching to go and see you one last time. To get one last glance at you before he disappeared, his heart yearned for it but he shook his head, keeping his eyes downcast as he tried to find a cab.
"An odd boy? Madame Grace, you think everyone is odd," You laughed softly at the elderly lady taking her in the direction of the back of the shop to settle her down with a pot of tea and one of the books she'd brought along with her. It was her own store but she'd never read anything from inside of it. 'It's all junk' She said to you one day as she settled down with books in different languages you could never understand.
"He was really odd, just watching you through the window. I thought he was going to come in but then I startled him," She continued ranting about how he shouldn't have been standing in the doorway like that how it would only deter people from coming into the charming little bookshop she owned. You poured her a cup of tea into the small teacup and shook your head at her,
"I'm sure he was just lost Madame Grace," Your voice came out softly and she patted the top of your hand, she always knew you were nice to everyone.
"Where is your handsome boyfriend?" She meant David, of course, she loved him since she was the one to set you up with him and he was..."One of a kind." There was one thing about him, you hadn't worked out what it was going on between you, you knew he liked you a lot and he and Arehum - your daughter - got along perfectly well but you weren't sure how you felt about him. There was nothing wrong with him of course, he was a great guy but there just wasn't something there that made you feel connected to him.
"He's out with Arehum." You spoke to her, she sighed happily going back to her books as you left to go and answer the bell that had been ringing, it was the latest delivery of books that had been ordered in. Josh was standing there with a clipboard and a box that looked relatively heavy.
"Has the person renting the apartment been by yet?" The delivery boy - Josh - asked as he handed you a box full of books, you grunted putting them down behind the counter. Everyone you were close with knew the ins and outs of the shop and were interested to see who you'd finally decided to rent the apartment out to.
"Not yet, I'm sure they'll turn up soon though. I can't believe someone wants that place, no one's been up there in years." You said as you began singing on the small pad he was holding out for you. The bookshop you worked in had two apartments above it, the bookshop was the bottom and basement floor - the basement was mostly used for storage. Then the apartments were on the second and third floors both of them relatively big to say they were just some small apartments.
The third floor was one that an ex-boyfriend of yours had stayed in over the summer four years ago since then no one had rented the apartment out. Mostly because you never advertised it anymore, the thought of someone going up there...Being there where your memories were didn't sit right with you but when someone called to book it you couldn't say no. So you had to venture up there the other day when you had to clean it out since Grace was far too old to come to the shop and do it herself. She struggled walking around alone nevermind climbing up all those stairs and cleaning.
"I hope so anyway, I didn't clean that place out for nothing." You joked as Josh bean walking out of the door and left you to deal with the boxes in front of you. Most of them were on the History of Paris and some were old cliche romances that Grace had clearly snuck onto the order, she was a sucker for the cliches and as much as it pained you to admit it...So were you. The cliche romances where there are two people one bed or enemies to lovers...They were always a favourite of yours.
Tumblr media
This was not how Jungkook wanted to spend his holiday, he'd been longing to stay in that apartment since it was where all of his memories were but seeing you there sent him into a wave of emotions, mostly guilt for what he'd done to you. How things had ended between you both wasn't the best of ways.
The Hotel Antoniette was the hotel he'd found the quickest, it was close to the bookshop in case he found himself brave enough to head inside at a later date. The hotel was huge and elaborate, probably since it had been a palace belonging to a French Aristocracy. It was close to the Tuileries Garden and the Louvre which he adored, he could remember all of the times he'd spent roaming around the museum and the garden with you hand in hand as you spoke about your day in the shop and his time in Paris. Back then you had no idea who he was, to you he was just Jungkook who'd been travelling on his break from college to come and see Paris and decided to stay a little longer for the ''view'.' Which of course, the view was you. He wished he'd been honest with you about who he really was. Maybe none of it would have happened. Maybe you would have somehow made it all work out, he could still be happy with you.
His suite was right on the top floor - the best that money could buy him, he figured it would bring more privacy if he could just hide out in the hotel room most of the days. He was sure he could find something to occupy his mind if he did end up stuck here. The room had french-style windows that opened up onto a balcony giving him the most magnificent view of Paris he pushed the doors open to look at the fairy lights on the Effiel Tower in the pitch-black night. He kept his eyes on the structure, watching the way all the lights changed somehow making them look like stars. It was stunning to look at but his mind was going back to you in that book shop. He wondered how you were, How you'd been doing over the last four years and if you'd even remember him but, of course, you would. How could you after what you went through together? That kind of love couldn't have been one-sided and he doubted you could forget it so easily.
Trying to distract himself he went back into his suite to go and unpack his bag, the whole place was like a huge apartment all decorated in white with marble counters. The bedding was a pale-peach kind of colour stacked high with pillows that he had no idea how he was going to get back onto the bed the next morning when he got up. He slid his bag over to the dressing room and almost dropped the case on the spot, it was only half of the size of the bedroom and it was lined wall to wall with mirrors all doubling as wardrobes he could see himself in every square inch of the room so he began unpacking as quickly as he could, making a promise to himself not to go in there at night time because it scared him. The thought of walking into a dark room and catching his own reflection...He'd seen enough horror movies to know better than that.
By the time he got back out of the hotel it was getting close to 10:30 pm and he wanted to stop by the shop one last time, just to see you and maybe try to speak to you. He had his hat on, hoodie pulled around his body with some shorts on since it was summer and quite warm at night, most of the shops were already closing up but he noticed the lights inside the book store were all on.
"Grace I can lock up alone," Your voice came out smooth as you spoke the small old lady who'd been outside of the shop earlier when Jungkook had been there confirming it to be Grace. You slid a cup of what looked like something hot into her hand it was steaming and Jungkook scoffed. Who could drink hot drinks in this weather? It was far too hot for that. It was much better to have a cold drink on a night like this.
"How was your day?" Grace questioned you sitting back against an armchair that was inside of the shop, Jungkook remembered picking the chair out with you at a car boot sale you both went to. He remembered taking it back to the shop in a struggle before the both of you curled up to sleep in it. The chair wasn't huge but it was comfy enough to take a nap together there for an hour or two until he woke up and had a dead arm from the position you'd fallen asleep in. Jungkook felt like such a creep for watching through the giant glass window but there was something about you that was different that he couldn't put his finger on.
"It was okay, Josh came by with a new delivery. How was your day Areum?" You called out behind Grace, Jungkook wondered who Areum was who you seemed to change your tone for. Your tone went from soft to even softer as you looked down at someone. Jungkook remembered you mentioning the name a lot around him but he knew it wasn't one of your friends. All of your friends had french snotty names which were one of the reasons he never wanted to meet them, that and he couldn't risk them knowing who he was and blabbing it to the press that he was in Paris with a girl.
"Areum, how was your day?!" Grace asked politely and a small girl came out from one of the bookshelves dressed in a Princess dress twirling around and waving a wand in the air, Jungkook's mouth fell open as his eyes landed on the small girl. Her hair was long to the lower of her back it was curled at the ends and she had the biggest smiles he'd ever seen on her face as she twirled around and around in one spot.
As he finally got a good look at her his heart sank to the floor as he realised she was the spitting image of him, she had his smile, his eyes and hair colour even the little dimple that he had on his left cheek. He stumbled into a metal table knocking it over and knocking the sign to the shop over, you laughed looking up to see which drunken idiot had knocked it over this time but the smile faded from your lips as soon as you locked eyes with him outside of the window. Your heart began to pound as you stared at one another, your mouth falling into an 'O' shape the longer you watched him. Part of you was praying it was just your eyes playing tricks on you.
"Y/n?" Everyone was in the background as you stared at Jungkook through the window swallowing the huge lump in your throat. No one else in the room mattered now that your eyes were on him. Grace followed your gaze wondering what the big deal was when she saw the same boy from before standing there. Both of you having a stare off as you looked at one another through the giant window.
"He was outside earlier! I told you he was a creep, I'll ring the police." You shook your head rapidly, taking her hand away from the shop phone and telling her to take Areum up the staircase instead. Grace nodded rushing your very confused daughter up the stairs in the back of the shop while Jungkook made his way into the shop, red in the face as he looked at the small girl. All of the dots in his head connecting to get a different image but one still remained as he watched the small girl. Her eyes locking with his as it hit him,
"Y/n...Is she mine?"

– parisian nights
Tumblr media
+ ft. tamaki amajiki
+ wc: 2.5k
+ format: one-shot
+ premise: tamaki amajiki, heir to amajiki enterprises, has it all. yet, all he wants is you. could a sudden trip to paris be enough to win your heart?
+ note: my piece for @bakugohoex’s 3k collab! hope you all enjoy!
Tumblr media
tamaki amajiki, in a literal sense, had it all and anything he wanted was at a snap of his well-manicured fingertips. every luxury sports car, every trip to the tropics, every gaming system was only one lip pout to his daddy and mommy. he was spoiled to say the least but what kind of rich kid wasn’t?
it wasn’t until tamaki stumbled upon you that he took a moment to reevaluate his life as a rich boy.
you had humble beginnings, coming from a family of average societal standing. your family didn’t have to worry about money but they were nowhere close to the standing of the amajiki family. humble and modest, tamaki thought you were the cutest thing in the whole wide world!
and what tamaki liked, tamaki got.
he remembered flashing you a fat tip for your service at the coffee shop you worked as a barista at. tamaki struggled with social interaction at times but all of that went out the window the moment he locked eyes with you. he found that he didn’t have to work on his social skills, as long as he had the money to buy the friendships and interactions.
he thought you were the same as the others, easily swayed by money.
yet, you weren’t.
you rejected the tip and told him to put it in the communal tip jar for all the baristas shared from. tamaki was stunned but did what you asked of him. anxiety bubbled in his stomach and his facade of suave rich guy nearly cracked.
but tamaki wouldn’t give up so easily.
─────────────────
“morning, amajiki-san,” you greeted him every morning with that same gentle smile of yours. barely any customers were in the coffee shop, which tamaki preferred. he utterly despised crowds of people.
“good morning, (l/n)-san,” he returned the greeting and the smile.
“the usual?” you already got a medium-sized cup out.
“yes please,” he hummed. tamaki actually hated coffee, it made his anxiety worse but he would risk an anxiety attack if it meant he could interact with you.
you nodded and got to work, preparing a medium iced coffee for tamaki. he watched you move around from behind the counter, his eyes fixated on your gorgeous form.
“one medium iced coffee for amajiki-san!” you handed the coffee to tamaki.
“thank you,” tamaki fished out an envelope from his pocket, “your tip.”
you furrowed your eyebrows at the envelope and took it cautiously, “what’s this, amajiki-san?”
“your tip,” tamaki repeated.
carefully, you opened up the envelope and pulled out its contents.
“amajiki-san..” you uttered his first name, “what the hell is this?”
“two tickets to paris,” tamaki leaned against the counter, “well, the tickets are more of a formality. we’ll be taking my private jet to the city.”
“amajiki-san..” you sighed.
“pretty please, (l/n)-san?” tamaki flashed you his famous puppy eyes.
“why should i go with a guy i barely know?”
ouch, that hurt.
“well, we can use this as an opportunity to get to know one another.”
you frowned, “i’ll have to think about it.”
“come to this address in a week from now at two in the afternoon,” tamaki got out a pen from his pocket and wrote down an address on a piece of napkin, “if you’re interested in coming.”
you took the napkin and nodded, “very well then.”
tamaki could only hope that you would come.
─────────────────
tamaki paced around outside the private jet, frantically checking his watch every two minutes. it was nearly two o’clock and you still weren’t near yet. you weren’t coming, tamaki decided, much to his dismay.
“amajiki-sama?” the pilot poked his head outside the jet, “ready to take off?”
“no, not yet!” tamaki hollered. the pilot flashed a thumbs up and returned inside the plane. tamaki let out a heavy sigh, where were you?
“am i late?”
tamaki perked up at the sound of your voice. he saw your figure approaching the jet, the wind ruffling your white sundress and sunhat. a lone suitcase rolled behind you.
“you came,” tamaki stated in surprise.
“didn’t think i was gonna show?” you chuckled.
tamaki let out a soft laugh and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, “yeah..”
“well, i’m here!” you smiled, “you’re gonna treat me to the trip of a lifetime, correct? why in the world would i miss out on that?”
tamaki’s heart fluttered at the sight of your smile, “well, what are we waiting for? let’s get this trip started.”
a flight attendant exited the jet and took your luggage. tamaki took your hand and guided you inside the jet. your lips formed a small ‘o’ in shock at the interior of the jet. it was much larger on the inside than it was on the outside with push-lined seats and entertainment systems galore. a person could live without worry in this jet.
“you own this?” you asked tamaki, as you took a seat in one of the comfortable looking seats.
“my parents do,” he answered, “they use it for business trips.”
“i see,” you eyed at the approaching concession cart. the flight attendant before earlier was operating it and she offered you a wide selection of drinks and snacks. you ended up getting a plain green tea while tamaki got a bag of honey barbecue flavored chips.
“so what made you decide to invite me on this trip?” you took a long drag of your green tea.
tamaki paused from munching on his chips. he cleared his throat, “i thought ‘why not?’ in all honesty,” that was a lie, tamaki wanted to impress you with a flashy trip to the city of love.
“do you take all the girls you’ve met on trips to paris?”
“only the girls i like.”
tamaki almost choked at his comment, his cheeks flushing a nice shade of pink. you raised your eyebrows at him in an act of bewilderment. tamaki attempted to change the conversation and informed you, “we should be there in thirteen hours, so it’s best to “get situated.”
you gave him a nod, “alrighty. well, i’ll be asleep so you have fun.”
tamaki opened his mouth to reply, only to given the cold shoulder as you reclined your seat and got noise canceling headphones on. he watched, as you situated yourself and promptly fell asleep. he chuckled, that was adorable.
a two day trip to paris, what could possibly go wrong?
─────────────────
“(l/n)-san.”
tamaki gently removed your noise cancelling headphones from your head.
“we’re here, in paris.”
you let out a groan, as your eyes slowly opened. how long were you out? a couple of hours?
“you slept the whole trip,” tamaki laughed quietly.
“oh.. i did? sorry,” you murmured, rubbing the guck out of your eyes.
tamaki brushed a loose hair out of your face, “it’s alright.”
you blushed slightly at his warm touch but masked with a cough, “so! uh! whatcha wanna do in paris?”
tamaki blinked, he hadn’t planned that far ahead.
“would you like to see the louvre?”
─────────────────
japan had nothing on the bustling streets of paris. the sidewalks were filled to the brim with people mulling about, some on their phones with shopping bags and others chatting amongst themselves. the louvre was only a block away, crowded with tourists eager to see the mona lisa.
“no need to worry about the crowds,” tamaki gave you a smile when you two approached the louvre, “i set aside us a private tour of the musuem.”
“oh really?” you crossed your arms with disdain.
tamaki pouted, “would.. would you rather do a normal tour?”
you smiled, “yes please.”
the two of you pushed your way through the crowds and entered the louvre, you staring in awe of the artworks. tamaki concealed a small smile at your wonderment, he found it to be absolutely cute to watch.
you’re more than a work of art, (f/n). was what tamaki wanted to say but he didn’t have the courage nor the guts to say it.
“wow, the mona lisa is so tiny!” you commented to tamaki when you two found the famed piece of art. you were right, the mona lisa was surprisingly small. you grabbed tamaki by the hand and pulled him closer to the painting, “look how beautiful it is, amajiki-san.”
tamaki grew flustered at your touch but gave your hand a light squeeze, “(l/n)-san.. you can call me tamaki, if you want.”
you gave him a look and tamaki cursed internally. was it too soon to be on a first name basis?
“okay, tamaki.”
tamaki let out a sigh of relief.
“where would you like to go next?” tamaki questioned to you after the two of you finished your tour of the louvre.
you pondered on the question for a moment.
“let’s go shopping.”
─────────────────
tamaki patiently waited outside a fitting room, as you tried on various articles of clothing. he offered to pay– his parents gave him an allowance for the trip– and to his surprise, you actually accepted his offer.
“you alright in there..?” tamaki asked, not wanting to walk in on you half naked.
there was some rustling and you emerged from the dressing room, “how do i look?” you asked tamaki, twirling around in your new dress.
tamaki gulped at the sight of the dress. its neckline highlighted your collarbone quite nicely and hugged your curves just right. he pulled at his collar and adverted his gaze, “er.. you look.. uh.. very nice..”
“i do?” you hugged his arm and pressed yourself against tamaki. he was sweating bullets now, “yes! y- yes, you d- do!” his eyes widened, not his stutter coming back at the worst possible moment.
“you have a stutter?”
shit. shit. shit. shit. shit.
“so wh- what if i d- do..”
“it’s cute.”
tamaki’s eyes widened.
“y- you th- think so?”
you nodded rapidly, “of course i do! i’m not gonna poke fun at it.”
tamaki coughed, “th- thanks.”
“of course,” you released your hold on his arm, “the night is still young, what should we do next?”
tamaki peered outside, nightfall was upon the city.
“a trip to paris isn’t complete without a visit to the effiel tower now, isn’t it?”
─────────────────
being on top of the effiel tower made the world seem so small.
tamaki took a moment to enjoy the cold breeze that passed through his indigo locks, closing his eyes and just enjoying the feeling of being on top of the world for a moment. you stood next to him, doing the same thing. you hated to admit it but this had been the most fun you have had in a while. all thanks to tamaki amajiki, of course.
“hey tamaki?”
“yes, (f/n)?”
“can i tell you a secret?”
tamaki opened his eyes, “of course.”
you stared out onto the city of lights and leaned against the guardrail.
“i never left japan until yesterday.”
tamaki laughed, “that’s not much of a secret. it was a little obvious.”
you scrunched your nose up in annoyance, “meanie.”
tamaki acted wounded, “that hurt.”
you rolled your eyes, “i enjoyed today. i hope you can ensure the same for tomorrow.”
tamaki looked down at his shoes and sighed, “i hope i can.”
“hey tamaki?”
“yes?” he looked up.
“what’s the real reason you invited me on this trip?”
tamaki hung his head down low.
“tamaki, look at me.”
he looked back up.
“tell me the truth.”
tamaki couldn’t lie to you anymore.
“it’s because.. i like you, (f/n).”
now it was your turn to hang your head low.
“why me, tamaki?”
tamaki pressed his lips together, “what do you mean?”
taking his hands into yours, the two of you were forced to look one another in the eye. you took a deep breath and began to speak your piece.
“i want to know the real tamaki amajiki. not this fake version. i think the closer we got was what happened in the fitting room. i get it, you’re rich.. but you didn’t have to whisk me away to paris just to confess that you had a crush on me, tamaki.”
“wh- what should have i done instead..?” not the stutter!
you half-smiled, “take me out for coffee, silly.”
was it really that simple?
“maybe i- i do that next time.”
“next time?”
fuck, was there not going to be a next time?
“there won’t be a next time until you tell me about yourself,” you gave tamaki a playful punch in the shoulder. he winced a bit but played it off. tamaki looked back out onto the city, “what would you like to know?”
“what’s it like being an heir?” you leaned against the guardrail.
tamaki tilted his head back and let out a long breathe, “exhausting.”
you cocked your head to the left, “how so?”
“my parents have high expectations of me. forcing me to go to college to study business for the sole purpose of taking over the company. this might sound silly but i wanted to study food science and become a nutritional therapist,” tamaki clasped his hands together tightly, “there’s no true freedom. money has a price and that price is your freedom. the public hounds you, the elite is full of backstabbers, and i just want to settle down with a nice girl.”
“and that nice girl would be?” you smiled.
“you, of course.”
you blushed at tamaki’s response.
“i would give up all the money i have if it means i can be with you,” tamaki confessed with tears in his eyes, “i truly mean it. i fell in love with you the moment i saw you in that coffee shop, (f/n) (l/n).”
“re- really?” now you were stuttering.
“truly,” tamaki cupped your cheeks and bore his eyes into yours, “i truly mean it. i only want you, (f/n). i would give you everything and anything you could have ever wanted. i want to be there for you.”
“b- but you barely know me!” you protested.
“then let me get to know you,” tamaki fired back.
you were rendered speechless. you adverted your gaze from tamaki and he removed his hands from your face. tamaki bowed his head in disgrace, “i- i’m sorry, (l/n)-san.”
“it’s okay, tamaki!” you exclaimed, “really it is. i admire your fire. i want to get you better, as well. truly, i do.”
tamaki relaxed his shoulders and placed a hand against his chest in an effort to calm his rapidly beating heart. you looked heavenly under the lights of the effiel tower with your new dress and your pearly white smile. he just wanted to kiss your damn face already.
“tamaki.”
“yes, (f/n)?”
“here,” you pressed a kiss to his lips. tamaki’s eyes widened for a moment before he closed them, allowing himself to get lost in the kiss. your lips tasted like the croissant you had earlier that day. tamaki could kiss you forever.
“let’s get to know one another better before a second date, okay?”
tamaki was more than fine with that.
one day, he’ll be yours.

Whumptober No. 1 - This Wasn’t Supposed to Happen
Trying to get back into a writing mindset and thought whumptober would provide some needed motivation. Additionally, I ended up dividing the prompt list in half and thought I’d attempt to use them to make two ongoing stories over the month with my own characters, one with a supernatural setting and the other with superheroes.
Up first, we have some Supernatural whump with a dhampir on a road trip, podcast recommendations, and the horrors of New Jersey.
Edit: Now continued in Whumptober No.2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Only sheer and utter desperation could get Val to pull over in Jersey, land of beach bronzed, boxed wine warlocks and the horrific majesty of the pork roll . But that’s what he got for hitting snooze on his common sense and trying to outrace his Tesla’s dying charge in the span of five hours. New York City to DC hadn’t seemed so terribly long a trip at the time, but his sense of distance tended to go haywire whenever Adrienne was involved (along with a good deal of other senses, come to think of it).
Honestly it was a miracle he’d remembered to grab the suitcase he’d packed weeks ago and promptly used as a footrest while he waited for Adrienne to confirm when the cirque was arriving to get started with its American tour for the season. Life had taken an unfortunate turn for the stable of late, and without negotiations with power suit-wearing werewolf lawyers or even one decent kitsune gun fight to distract him, Val had been rapidly descending into an undiluted 24/7 marathon of a pining and longing cycle so strong he’d have been collapsing onto his fainting divan if he’d had a fainting divan in the first place.
Granted, there were the weekly phone calls. And daily texts. A godsend in his moment of solitary agony that wasn’t actually all that solitary. Time zone differences meant that Val usually got them well past midnight, but that didn’t matter much when you didn’t need to do things like sleep. Raquel had even gotten in on the action, sending over the occasional candid picture of cirque life; the silhouettes of Owen and the other roustabouts in the pre-dawn light as they unloaded the giant metal frame of the wheel of death from a flatbed, the Ivanovna sisters helping each other stretch out in a grassy field with their faces scrunched up mid-argument, Adrienne blurred at the edges with her arm thrown out towards a practice board already bristling with knives. It was a small gesture of comradery that nonetheless had Val’s chest swelling with joy. Raquel was much better as a friend than a wary tag along, even if her selfie game was sorely lacking.
There were still a good three hours between him and civilization, and Val had already wasted forty minutes tracking down what must be the only gas station in all of Hoboken with modern conveniences like a charging station and a racoon-less ice bin. Slap on another forty minutes of sitting around and being responsible by making sure the rest of the road trip was done on a full battery and Val was about ready to vibrate out of his own skin. He’d sent out a few texts and tasteful selfies to Adrienne updating her on his progress, but no response meant she was still mid-flight as was the rest of the cirque, which put his list of potential social distractions at nada.
Nothing for it but to hunker down and binge Wolf 359 for the fifth time, maybe give Radiolab a try if he hit max boredom levels (Owen had recommended it repeatedly but Val preferred his podcasts with a dash of spaceships and hazardous first contact). The dulcet tones of Communications Officer Doug Effiel had just launched into the benefits of succulent rat-killing tar when someone rapped on the car window and broke Val out of his audio fiction induced reverie.
The man on the other side of the glass was wiry, dressed in a thick denim jacket that he must be regretting given the heat of the day. Long, dark hair was neatly tied back out of a brown face that was dominated by a pair of round frame sunglasses, the old fashioned kind Val hadn’t seen in years with the side shields that completely hid the wearer’s eyes. They’d been a favorite accessory of Benoit when he’d had to stay up during the daylight hours to mind Val when he was younger. The memory had Val wincing internally, but on the outside he gave the stranger a bland questioning look, pointedly moving his head so that he had a good view of the air pods tucked into Val’s ears.
“Sorry to bother you,” the man said with an apologetic look and an accent that gave Val Downton Abbey Mania flashbacks, “but do you happen to have a light? I tried to get one inside, but it looks like I’m out of luck.”
“A light,” Val repeated, actually pausing his podcast now that he’d been offered up a more personable distraction.
The man held up a battered blue box of Newports with a sheepish look. “Keep meaning to quit, but you know how it is. Life keeps getting in the way of self improvement.”
Val nodded in sympathy and rolled down the window separating them. Nah, I get it. Everyone has their own pretty little poison to deal with. I used to smoke a bit once I left my parents’ place, made me feel more grown up until I just did it for the sake of giving myself something to do.”
The man’s brow wrinkled in surprise, raising up his sunglasses so that Val briefly saw where the frames had left pale indentations on his dark skin. “Yeah? And how’d you break the habit?”
“Found something better to invest myself in,” Val said with a modest shrug. It felt like bragging to admit that his actual cravings were of a messier and even less socially acceptable variety, plus nicotine held the same appeal as sucking on a wet sock. “But,” he continued, rifling through his pockets and flipping out his flame detailed zippo with a flourish, “some habits still stuck around.”
“Lucky for me,” the man said, the corners of his lips twitching into a barely there smile that struck Val as odd but not enough so to keep him from leaning out the car window, fingers already coaxing a spark out of the lighter. What did register as odd was the distinct lack of vehicles around the surrounding pumps, the gas station just as vacant as when Val had pulled in.
Val was fast. The stranger was faster, hand flashing out so that it snatched the zippo’s quivering flame and brought it to his lips as Val made a dive for the glove box. Fire embraced the man’s face, looking for a shimmering moment like a lover’s kiss, before he opened a mouth that shone with the white hot brilliance of a dying star and a jet of flame engulfed the Tesla’s front seats.
It wasn’t the first time Val had been on fire. He could recall the memories in exquisite, agonizing detail, had done so on numerous occasions when he’d wanted to cause pain without getting his hands dirty. But this was different, the flames blue tinged and hotter than anything he’d experienced before. Instinct drove Val further back, past the glove box and into the passenger side door. It caved in slightly with a metallic groan but it wasn’t enough to break it open, the fire chasing after Val like a living thing, tendrils of flame looping around his wrists so that the cuffs of his leather jacket smoked and melted into his bubbling skin.
A scream clawed its way up Val’s throat as his body was racked with sharp, burning agony and he slammed into the passenger door again. Something cracked inside his shoulder, but it was nothing compared to the pain surrounding him already, nor the relief when the door finally gave way with a screech of metal on metal and Val was able to drop out onto the ground and roll back and away from his car. Every touch to his skin was blistering and raw, his cloth sticking to his melted flesh in a way that made Val’s stomach turn.
“Please,” the man said, walking around the Tesla’s hood with nary a wayward glance towards it as the flames spread gleefully, reflecting off his sunglasses so that his eyes were twin pinpricks of white at the center of a haze of smoke. “Please, I do not wish to harm you.”
“Bit fucking late for that,” Val rasped, trying to get to his feet only for his legs to give out from under him. Already his skin was starting to knit back together, but even a proper vampire would need a few minutes and a good feed to recover after getting hit with that much fire. As it was Val’s body was still reeling, his vision swimming so much that the approaching man’s figure had gone all blurred at the edges so that it was impossible to make out where the smoke ended and he began.
The man shook his head, mouth set into a firm line. “This wasn’t supposed to happen,” he murmured, and Val could almost imagine there was genuine regret in his voice, “not like this.”
“Yeah, well, you wouldn’t be the first person to fail at knocking me off.” Each word hurt like hell, but the longer Val kept the guy talking the less time he had to give a Fire Bender beat down.
The man shook his head more vehemently, and this time there was no mistaking the pity that weighed down what Val could see of his face.
“I wish I were meant to give such a kindness as death.” The edges of him dissolved into deep navy smoke that surged forward around Val and compressed down into the form of man once more in an instant, his hands wrapped around Val’s throat. It felt like fire was trapped just underneath the surface of his skin. “But she has need of you and your friends still.”
And then the man opened his mouth wide and white hot fire gave way to inescapable darkness.
[ Chamber x Viper ]
[ Gilded Gold and Harmless Poison ]
Part-9
Sabine watched affectionately as Valentino guided her through Louvre Museum. They have been walking for hours, but they felt like minutes to her.
She was was having fun, fun that she hasn't experienced in a long time, and it was all his doing.
Everytime he'd smile brightly at a certain painting, absolutely in love with his country– Viper would be lost to the world, and would only notice him.
"–amazing is it?" Valentino asked, shining like the sun.
Viper wasn't paying attention, but it was amazing. "Yes... Yes it was."
She wasnt lost in the beauty of Paris, she was lost in him. She had been so distracted by the handsome gentle man that she felt her stomach protest in hunger. She hasn't eaten breakfast and it was almost lunch.
The growl wasn't loud, but somehow Valentino noticed. "Oh! I know about this really delicious place, it's just this way."
Valentino gently held her hand as he lead her through an exit and into some sort of line by the seine river.
***
Killjoy, Jett, Neon, and Reyna are absolutely losing their shit. Killjoy had called them to her room a few hours ago. They were confused at first, until they saw the unbelievable sight on her large monitor set up. Since then, they've been cuddled together, listening in on Viper's date.
"They're soooo cute! Nakakagigil! (it's romantically thrilling)" Neon howled crushing a pillow in her huggs.
Jett was bouncing up and down on the bed absolutely pumped, while Reyna was watching shocked speechless.
Killjoy was busy hacking into the Cruise's cameras because this hopeless romantic, named Valentino, had paid for– in advance– a Seine River cruise with 3-course meals!
Sage opened the door with force. "Why are you so noisy?" She wasn't pleased.
The girls in the room looked at her and then at each other, before pulling her into the web.
***
Sabine was eating the food and was absolutely enjoying it. Valentino was enjoying it too, not the food, but her enjoyment brought him enjoyment.
Valentino was in the middle of chewing when Sabine interrupted him. "When did you book the cruise?" She asked, very curious of when.
He hadn't taken his attention off of her and neither has she, so when?
Valentino chuckled. "It was when we had a quick break."
Sabine remembered earlier that they separated to go to the restroom. That intervention was only a few minutes long and he booked it then? "I don't believe you." Sabine huffed, while Valentino looked amused.
"I'm not sure what you mean~" He hummed, continuing to chew, smirking at her.
Viper blushed at his gaze, and she coughed.
***
Sage was absolutely captivated by Valentino's whole date plan. A meeting in a quaint coffeshop, a full tour of the Louvre Museum– then a 3-course boat crouse? Who wouldn't be jealous!?
"I'm jealous." She pouted. Reyna pouted with her. "Me too."
***
The sun was setting, and Valentino and Viper's date was ending. They were strolling at the Effiel Tower's Park, munching on sweet parfaits. The park was sparsely populated and the atmosphere between the two agents were growing incredibly tense.
The street lamp was bright overhead when Vincent stopped walking, Viper also stopped. "Today was a very fun experience. Don't you think so, Sabine?"
Viper had forgotten when exactly did he lose the honorific, but she liked it. She didn't answer right away except she looked at him intently.
"Sabin–"
Befote Vincent could process what just happened, he felt her soft, supple lips touch his own.
Viper had grabbed his collar, pulling him down to her as she leaned up for her kiss. Afterall,He was 6'0 and she was 5'8.
The kiss was soft at first but it turned intense, like a battle. Her tongue slipped into his mouth and he retaliated with his own.
Vincent had long since dropped his half-eaten parfait as his arms had found themselves around Viper's waist and the back of her head.
Viper too, dropped her parfait as her hands, which originally grabbed him by the collar, was wrapped round his neck and was pressing his head to her hers.
The kiss was long and heated, extremely heated that by the end they were done– Sabine's light lipstick was smeared on his lips and their hair was dishevelled.
They pulled away, heaving for breath, when Sabine pushed a folded piece of paper onto his shirt pocket. "I'll keep in touch. I promise."
Vincent combe dhus dishevelled hair hand with his hand and smirked at her. "And I will be waiting for you. Til' we meet again. Mon amour. "
***
"Kyaaa!!!!" Killjoy, Reyna and Sage was absolutely losing it. Although sage was covering both Jetts and Neon eyss as that kiss was definitely not the romantic kind– it was the lustful kind.
Fade, Skye and Raze, had joined them since earlier out of curiosity and boy did they get more than they bargain for. They all got a lot– a ton even– of juicy and scandalous blackmail.
The girls in the room gave each other the look, a mischievous look only girls would know.
***
Vincent has long since arrived in his large, furnished apartment just across the coffee shop. His heart felt like it was beating out of his ribcage. "My heart aches for you Mon amour..."
***
A whole week had ended for Sova, he wouldn't lie, a week in his own element cooled him down– pun unintended.
However, what he came back to was exceptionally off-putting. The men seemed out of the loop of something very important, and they've long since given up on finding out. Probably purely out of disinterest or fear from their souls getting souls sucked by Reyna. Brimstone seems oblivious to the whole ordeal as it didn't hinder any of their non-existent missions.
He was going to his room when he overheard a large group of voices inside Viper' lab. Mostly being divous and teasing. He leaned in to listen.
***
Viper was cornered. She tried her best to avoid all of them, considering she had a bad feeling. Her bad feelings always have been right. They knew.
A-about the d-date– fuck! Even in her thoughts, she couldn't help but be embarrassed, aflame with it even. It was incredibly exhilarating, which made it all the more memorable. She even started to dream about.. doing... It... Arghhh!!
Viper chews on her lower lip, shaking her lewd and inappropriate imagination away.
"Ohhhh she's blushing~" Raze teased loudly, earning a few cooes from the other ladies.
"H-How–" Viper stuttered. "How did you know?" She gave up on trying to be dignified, it was more or less late for that.
The girls smirked. "Only if you tell us all~ about it" they wiggled their eyebrows.
Viper searched all the face sin the room, in a plea for help, but they all were eon the same page! Even Fade.
This was going to be a long, embrassing explanation.
***
Sova was downright speechless of what he heard for the next hour.
To be continued.
A/N: Viper is love starved (and is a hormonial mess). That's a fact. Fight me.
Karlnapity honeymoon hcs? Perhaps?
this has been sitting in my ask box for a bit but I finally have some :) (feel free to ask me for more karlnapity stuff btw :D)
I have a feeling they would do everything they've ever wanted to do together. each individually picking out an hour or so of time to spend on something they enjoy.
karl picking sitting in a cozy corner in their home library, cuddling and reading together. sometimes he would stop reading and tell them "made up" stories about some adventurers from the future, and cowboys from the past. (little do they know they aren't made up) he plays with their hair as he tells the stories, trying to make it sound as magical as possible and enjoying the smiles on his husbands faces.
sapnap would take them to all the places that mean a lot to him. all the places he has good memories of. telling them about when him, george, and dream built the community house, showing his old now destroyed house, recalling the first days of the SMP. then he surprises them by taking them to all the places that meant things to them, like when they first got together, signs they placed together, where the old effiel tower was, going to where they had their first date. then finally taking them to his childhood home, sitting on top and looking out at everything.
quackity would take them to las nevadas and let them gamble all the want, he would tour them everywhere around and talk to them about their future together. what them being married now holds. karl would get lost in trying to put stickers all over one of the casinos,, and sapnap and quackity would watch with admiration. they would also get into a playful argument about who won a game of poker, and would end up with spare kisses all over each other. quackity ending his tour off with them sitting against the eiffel tower and looking at the stars.
they would end off going back home to kinoko, laying in bed and being as close as possible. just happier than ever that they are finally married, even if it felt no different because at the end of the day marriage is just some legal term, and their love means so much more than that.
Befana Hypothetical
After the party, Gattinera appears at Marinette's window, and offers Marinette a night city tour of Paris on the roofs and a picnic on the Effiel Tower
Gattinera: Do you trust me?
Marinette: Just don't drop me
Gattinera: Hold on tight, little lady. All aboard the Cat Bus
Marinette: Is that a Ghibli reference?
Gattimera just brings Marinette to the location
Gattinera: And this! Is my secret spot.
Marinette: The very tiptop of the Eiffel Tower? It’s impressive, quite a view.
Gattinera: Yeah, me and Ladybug come here sometimes, to talk while away from everyone else. It’s peaceful.
Marinette, who knows all this already: Wow, do tell me more.
