I'm planning on trying to work with non-god PCP entities by starting with another special interest of mine, Touhou Project, instead of the TES heroes. I've been debating on it, and I think if I worship any TES non-gods, I'll worship the main characters as hero worship (Nerevarine, The Last Dragonborn, The Hero of Kvatch, etc)... but because all there is to them is their goals in the games and that can be "playstyle specific" (do we assume TLD became guild leader of every guild just because you can do that in game?), I find it hard to figure out from there what to do.
So I thought, why not start with another franchise I love deeply, Touhou Project. It has established characters and I can think of things each character can help with (such as invoking Reimu Hakurei for dealing with malefic spirits as her job as Hakurei Shrine Maiden is to resolve incidents and beat up other characters for their misdeeds in spell card duels) a lot easier than I can think of what to invoke the TES heroes for.
I got some other stuff I need to figure out about my faith/practice first, but this is definitely on the plans.

Prayer to Nue Houjuu to Go Unidentified
-- ( Character Introduction: Nue Houjuu (noo-ayy hou-shjoo) is a nue, with the ability to make items, people, and other things become "unidentifiable". This makes them appear different to every person who sees them. She's generally shy about her true form herself. -- ( What is this: to go "unidentified" can be likened to going unnoticed or not fully seen. this can be used for all sorts of things, such as cloaking yourself as a witch. -- ( Further Suggestions: make an offering of snake iconography, trident iconography, things in both red and blue, drawings of cryptids, and food.
Tumblr media
O Nue Houjuu, True Form of the Unidentified. I shield my eyes from your true form, I shield my ears from your true voice. I ask upon you so gently and so humbly, might you make me unidentified too.

Being part of a culturally normative religion -- being an Italian Catholic, or a Thai Theravada Buddhist, or an Egyptian Sunni -- is cringe because it shows you're a conformist sheeperson who can't think for yourself.
Being an atheist or skeptic is cringe because, what, you think you're hot shit, smarter than anyone else? Because after Dawkins and Harris held your hand, you were able to get to the conclusions of Charvaka and Lucretius more than two millennia ago, and now you think you might as well have proved the Riemann zeta hypothesis? Get a grip.
Being part of a culturally non-normative religion like Wicca, or Neo-Pagan revivalism, or UFO cults, or whatever, is cringe because you're a kook. No one even forced you into it -- you don't have the excuse of being a Provo-raised Mormon or a Gujarati Hindu. You just went off the deep end yourself.
Being avowedly agnostic is cringe because you're so open-minded your brain fell out. Your response to one person saying π = 3.1416 and another person saying π = 15 is "neither of those are really the ultimate true value of π, which is fundamentally beyond what we humans can easily express, so the best we can do is seek the wisdom in all perspectives and stay open minded." You dodge judgment and discernment like they're Touhou bullets.
Being silent on religious matters is cringe because it shows you're either a coward who is afraid of revealing what you really think for fear of being offensive or cringey, or you're a vapid idiot who has no real thoughts on the Fundamental Nature of Reality, and only cares about shit like which graphics card can give you the highest frames per second on your shooter games, which basketball teams will make it to the playoffs, which skin-care products/mascara/lipstick will make your face the prettiest, etc.

As much as I wish I could reliably and always say "You can worship/work with whoever from pop culture paganism (PCP) or perform pop culture witchcraft (PCW) without knowing their source", knowing their source will help you with your worship/working relationships and your practice.
You can worship Akatosh without knowing anything about The Elder Scrolls. You very well can. It'll go just fine as long as you understand Him. But you'll ultimately be lacking important context on the world He comes from and how that relates into Him and His worship.
It's like... I didn't study HelPol very well when I began worshiping Zeus. I'm still working on rectifying that. But while I could go with information that was easily available about Zeus alone and have a very easy time worshiping Zeus, I ultimately stagnated because I didn't properly understand Zeus within the context of where He comes from and everything else about HelPol like khernips, Hellenic rituals, and all that sorts. I just went "I know about Zeus, so I'll be fine" and it technically was fine, I had (still have) a good, healthy relationship with Zeus, He didn't really complain at or about me, and I didn't come across any problems in our relationship, but the general HelPol part of my faith faltered, struggled, and stagnated, and that did affect my relationship even if I didn't realize it. I couldn't worship Him at His complete fullest.
The same applies to pop culture paganism.
You can worship Akatosh, you can follow His commandments, but with knowing literally nothing or next to nothing about the world, you're going to hit a wall. And yeah, Akatosh might not be the best example, because canonically we don't know much about His worship, comparatively to Zeus where we know so damned much about His worship; but it's still a truth I've found to be true.
I may joke about converting people to Touhou PCP because I think it's funny to joke about (it might not be but humor is subjective), but I wouldn't genuinely say to do it unless you're willing to put in time to at least understand the setting of Touhou, Gensokyo, and how that setting affects their lives. Understanding basics like the Spell Card rules even is a long way.
I'm not saying you need to be an expert in whatever source you wanna do PCP for. If it's a show you don't have to have seen every episode, for a game you don't have to have played every one or 100%ed it. You don't have to study every single page of every wiki that exists. I may be feral about my PCP sources but you don't have to be. But you should at least try to understand their source, their world, and how that can relate into your PCP, or even your PCW, before you really settle in and begin.
I'm also not saying every source has great information sources. Touhou worship for instance is hero worship in most cases of the 180+ characters (there's only 24 "Touhou original" gods, as in not kami taken from actual Shinto lore), and most Touhous appear once in a game then maybe if they're lucky, the print works, but the PC-98s? Like Sariel? Fuck dude there really is nothing. But learn what there IS to learn, y'know?
Don't let this stop you from getting into PCP. Or anything for that matter. Just do your best. I believe in you.

Welcome to my blog!
Heyo, I'm Khajiit. This is my writing blog.
I'm recovering from a multiple year long creative block after being creative every day since the day I could write. Writing and creating is important to me, and I want to reclaim it back after I "lost" it due to mental health struggles.
Tumblr media
ABOUT ME
Call me Khajiit. they/them/their, ze/zym/zeyr, crypti/cryptic/cryptics, 🦚/🦚s & Mx. or Misc. asexual aromantic. 20+. white. neurodivergent (AutiADHD), mentally ill.
My special interests that I'm willing to share on Tumblr are Touhou Project, The Elder Scrolls, and Pokémon. Hence why I write about them all the time.
Pagan, Buddhist, Shinto practitioner, eclectic magician. avid cartomancy and similar lover. collector of decks. practicing since 2022.
Tumblr media
I WRITE ABOUT
Mostly fanfiction right now, wanting to branch into original fiction when I'm ready. Most of my writing doubles as devotional fiction, fiction I write to honor and offer up to my Gods/Saints/Heroes I worship as part of my pop culture paganism. But please feel free to enjoy it just as it is, this is just something that gives me some drive to actually write.
Touhou Project
The Elder Scrolls

Welcome to my blog and journey!
Hey, you can call me Khajiit. I'm a Pagan, Buddhist, Shinto practitioner, and eclectic magician who focuses on a The Elder Scrolls, Touhou Project, and Pokémon based religion and magical practice. This is my Pokémon Pop Culture Paganism / Magic side blog. I talk about my progress, my faith, my practice, and share information on these guides, as well as my experiences and worship.
This blog centers on my personal experiences and thus UPG. It is the personal blog of a pagan/witch. I use a lot of Unverified Personal Gnosis (UPG) on this blog. A lot of this blog might directly contrast fictional canon, and may be very different to what other worshipers say of them. Everything on this blog is my personal experience, what I've been told, and what I've learned. I am sharing both to log myself and to be kind to others, in the name of the Heroes and Gods I love.
Part of the point of this blog is to share the Quick Start Guides - Which is something I made to help provide enough information about a guide to start with. I hope they can help people begin working with a guide that they're interested in. Said quick starts utilize a lot of UPG, so just keep that in mind. If you want non-UPG sources, Bulbapedia is a great place to start. I share my posts for those who are willing to consider UPG in their practice.

Eclectic magic doer / magician.
Performing since 2022.
I welcome any and all who are interested in Touhou worship, even if we deeply and utterly disagree on some aspects of it.
I do not talk about anything other than Touhou worship and my practice on this blog, by choice.
Most posts are queued. Informational posts are queued, Khajiit Speaks (my personal talking tag) usually isn't.
I use tone tags in my personal posts.

Staples of my Worship and Practice
Working and working alongside are two sides of the same coin for me.
I mostly worship the Legendaries/Mythicals, and use Pokémon spirits in my practice for help.
I use all sorts of oracular tools in my worship. Tarot, oracle decks, runes, dice, etc.
I practice things like astrology (though I don't take it very seriously). Pisces Sun, Scorpio Moon, Cancer Rising.
I practice baneful magic, and do not personally follow the Threefold Law.
I keep a few physical shrines group-dedicated to the deity guides and non-deity guides (saints) respectively; but use Pinterest altars for individual shrines, as well as visualized shrines in my head.
I partake in daily worship, though pick and choose a guide for the day.
Main Gods & Guides It's just the Main Guys I engage with out of Pokémon. This list prone to change over time. ⛤ GOD – Ho-oh
Tumblr media
Some Things to Know
This blog focuses mostly on my personal experiences, UPG, how I build the faith, and thoughts.
I generally follow the belief that these entities came first and were inserted into media. Media is not infallible canon, as I believe that sometimes when we insert Gods into media, we change them to be more entertaining. As well, one could take the Pokémon lore to be akin to mythology, where it's just as prone to biases, either for or against a specific entity. This isn't to mean that all information from the fictional canon is bunk, but rather I do not hold it above what I've learned personally. I started all of my worship of any of these entities with studying from the fictional canon, afterall.
I do not believe the gods are all-powerful or all-knowing. They can make mistakes, have misunderstandings, and more.
This blog will not be mentioning more NSFW aspects of worship (such as a certain act as a devotional/offering) to make it more accessible to all, including minors, as well as adhere to any of Tumblrs guidelines, and adhere to my own sensitivities. If you believe or have been told that a guide enjoys these things, then I trust you, but please keep it to yourself.
While all info I share is up to debate as it is UPG, please be respectful.
I believe the Gods interact directly with mortals often, so I may often speak of direct interactions I have in non-info posts.
I firmly believe that the Gods are deeply, truly, beautifully multifaceted. I can never see all sides of them, so when I see that someone has a different experience with this God, I simply assume that it's another facet of their being that They do not show to me, and that's okay!
I put a lot of emphasis on knowing the guides I work with, so that's why I put so much emphasis on posting information about them, and why I have so much collected over just a short amount of time. That's because I've spent entire days collectively gathering this information, listening, and writing it all down for others.
I refer to some entities with neopronouns. All pronouns used have been told to me by the entity in question that they enjoy them and want me to refer to them by such. On this similar note, on the whole "multifaceted" thing, this also means I don't really care if we use different pronouns for them. I assume the same - They told you to use those instead. Valid!
I use the term "work" as to refer to my work in my worship and my path with them guiding me and supporting me. I do not in any way claim to be co-creating with the Gods or anything like that.
I reblog a Lot of art. I find it a good devotional.

This is my journal blog, where I talk about my day to day practice and goings on in my magical and spiritual life, including my chaotic endless adventure dreams and my interpretations of those dreams. I don't talk about much else, by choice.
This blog uses UPG a lot. I talk about my relationships with my guides a lot, and don't always tag it as UPG. Always err on the side of caution, and just assume it's most likely UPG, or you can ask me directly.

Eclectic magic doer / magician (or you can call me a witch). Practicing since 2022.
I lead a very small, very casual, friend "coven". It's really just a place for me and my witchy friends to come together and share our craft than a more traditional coven.
My special interests that I'm gonna share on Tumblr are cartomancy / divination, The Elder Scrolls, Touhou Project, and Pokémon.

Staples of my Worship and Practice
I worship TES for the most part, plus some entities I work with. I work with TES entities, Pokemon entities, Touhou entities, demons, dragons, Greek and Roman, Scottish Celtic, Germanic, my ancestors, my guardians, servitors, my helper spirits, my familiars, and other miscellaneous spirits. I still really only talk about TES on Tumblr, as they are my main focus. I do not in any way endorse any appropriation of closed entities. Stop that.
I celebrate a slightly modified version of the Wheel of the Year, and I celebrate it outside of a Wiccan perspective. I mostly do it just because I like the excuse to celebrate and I favor the turning of the seasons.
I use all sorts of oracular tools in my worship. Tarot, oracle decks, runes, dice, etc.
I practice things like astrology, I'm not very good at it, and I don't believe it decides everything about you, nor do I use it for divination (mostly because I don't know how). Pisces Sun, Scorpio Moon, Cancer Rising.
I do not follow the Threefold Law.
I believe deeply in animism and attach it to all things, and it shapes a lot about my practice.
I keep a few physical shrines group-dedicated to a set group (such as a dragon shrine and a deity guide shrine); but use Pinterest altars for individual shrines, as well as visualized shrines in my head.
I partake in daily worship, though pick and choose a guide for the day.

Some Things to Know
If I make a mistake or don't know/understanding something, I'd much rather be told so that I can fix it. Granted, nobody owes me this, but if you feel up to it, please do inform me.
You can learn more about my pop culture worship on my TES blog. In general, I believe the gods came first and were inserted into media. You can read more about my stance in this post here, but keep in mind I don't mind if people disagree as long as respect is there. I also do not believe the Daedra are inherently or wholly evil. With the above two points, I cannot and do not blame anybody who refuses to work with entities because of their fictional counterparts. That's a valid choice.
I do not believe the gods are all-powerful or all-knowing. They are capable of mistakes, misunderstandings, and much else.
This blog will not be mentioning more NSFW aspects of worship and practice, to adhere to my own choices and sensitivites.
I believe the Gods interact directly with mortals often, so I may often speak of direct interactions I have.
I firmly believe that the Gods (and Saints as well) are deeply, truly, beautifully multifaceted. I can never see all sides of them, so when I see that someone has a different experience with this God, I simply assume that it's another facet of their being that They do not show to me, and that's okay!

The Draconic Path is a messy term that describes many different roads and there's pretty much no historic precedent. Anything I say on it is inherently UPG.
I'm much further religiously than I am magically.

This is my spelltome blog, serving as a collection group for my own creations and the creations of others. Some of my earlier posts are reblogs from another of my blogs. I also use this blog to "host" my PCW spells that I make and them reblog onto the appropriate sideblog.
This blog uses UPG from time to time. It's not as often that I talk about my spirit guides on this blog, but when I do, there's probably sprinklings of UPG in there.

Reimu Hakurei Quick Start
LAST UPDATED: January 08, 2025
A guide for beginning with Reimu Hakurei, intended to help you begin your practice, but not to serve as the only information you use.
Keep in mind most of this post is UPG versus just based on the fictional canon, based on my personal experiences with this entity. It may directly contrast fictional canon and the experiences of others. I suggest, as always, at least reading over their Touhouwiki page for a more canon perspective before coming back here.

She “exterminates” troublesome youkai, by beating them in a spell card duel and non-lethally reprimanding them. However, there have been a few cases of literal killing for the sake of Gensokyo.
Despite her job as “exterminating” youkai, she’s generally friendly with them as long as they are friendly with her. She’s even known to work alongside them when it benefits her.
Her abilities are usage of the Yin Yang orbs, the ability to float, barrier techniques, and aura manipulation. While she has the ability to channel gods, she’s not very good or reliable at it.
They can best be invoked for matters of dealing spirits and exorcism, and general problem resolution of the magical or spiritual variety. She is friendly and more than happy to help, especially if she gets something in return for it, such as money or another offering.

🜲 abilities . . .
Ability to Float – Reimu essentially floats throughout life. She has great intuition and incredibly luck, naturally ending up on the path of least resistance for most situation. One example is that Reimu unknowingly walked across a river without getting wet, by stepping on fish that swam beneath her feet. The ultimate expression of this is Innate Dream, where Reimu floats away from reality and becomes impossible to attack. (This was nerfed in Spell Card Duels with a time limit.)
Hakurei Shrine Maiden Powers – Handling the Hakurei Yin-Yang orbs, and is trained in youkai extermination techniques, alongside standard duties like performing blessings. While capable of channeling Kami, she isn’t well-trained enough to do so reliably.
Barrier Techniques – General aptitude with magical barriers. Such as barriers that explode, push enemies or herself, and allow her to teleport. She is capable of dismantling barriers and seals that are very complex.
Aura Manipulation – Reimu can control the natural spirits of living things. This skill was only listed in the omake.txt of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and has never been displayed.

🝊 identity . . .
They are a friendly, albeit brash, individual. She tends to beat people up before going “Alright, we’re friends now.” She is unusually easygoing and lacks any sense of danger at all, being quite carefree. They are simple minded, always showing her true feelings and acting on whatever ideas she has on the to of her head… but at the same time, nobody but her knows what’s going on in there, and how she is seen varies greatly on who is seeing her – Fairies for example, see her very differently than a human would.
She is liked by both youkai and humans, despite being very intimidating to them.
Reimu is of a moderate height, with brown-black hair that varies in length and style between the games, but is now typically long and loose. Their eyes vary from brown, to red, to even blue, depending on the game.
But she always wears a red ribbon and matching tubes on their sidelocks. She wears a red skirt, a sleeveless red top with a white collar, tied with a yellow, red, or blue ribbon depending on the game, and a pair of white detached sleeves that expose her shoulders and sarashi.
When cold, they can be seen wearing white gloves and wearing a shawl over the top of their usual outfit.
Reimu has a middle-pitch voice, which is fairly melodic and sweet.

⛮ working with . . .
Reimu Hakurei can be worked with easily, as they’re generally eager to be worshiped and revered, as well as help in any way she can. They enjoy giving and providing for others, viewing it as a core part of their life, and likes it when her worshipers give in return.
Reimu tends to take a horizontal friendship relationship with everybody who she comes across, they don’t instate themself as big and mighty, but rather as just a shrine maiden.
She seems to feel a bit off about being worshiped in some aspects – Seeing it as a tad strange to be revered as a hero, but they don’t complain.
Things that slight Reimu:
being mean to others for no good reason

⛼ history . . .
Reimu has been in every main and most side games. You can vet her through any information about any incident. For the sake of ease, though, I’m writing it here.
This section is a copy-paste from the Touhou wiki. Please support them.
This post assumes that PC-98 can be considered the past.
( 01 : Highly Responsive to Prayers )
A lone shrine sits Far East: the Hakurei Shrine. The powerful seal placed there has worn away, and many strange creatures are starting to come out. Reimu, seeking revenge for her destroyed shrine and armed with the shrine's treasure (the Yin-Yang Orbs) goes to the gate to face the non-human creatures inside. The gate will lead to either Makai or Hell depending on which route the player chooses. Reimu will fight Elis, YuugenMagan and Sariel in Makai; and Mima, Kikuri and Konngara in Hell.
( 02 : Story of Eastern Wonderland )
Reimu returns from the mountains to her shrine and finds it infested by youkai, ghosts and other non-human creatures. With her faithful turtle Genjii and her trusty Yin-Yang Orbs, she sets out to find the one who caused the trouble. Just after starting her journey she fights Rika, the culprit of the influx of youkai, and later Meira and Marisa Kirisame. At the end, she fights and beats Mima, Marisa Kirisame’s master, and seals her again, although not for a long time.
Reimu gets lured by Rika so she could get her revenge, this time confident driving her Evil Eye Σ. However, she is defeated again.
( 03 : Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream )
Reimu is one of the characters that battles others in order to be the first to reach the Ancient Ruins. There, she finds Chiyuri Kitashirakawa, who she fights with so Yumemi Okazaki could study Reimu's magic, although she insists that it is not magic but divine power. After Chiyuri is defeated, Yumemi fights Reimu to get her home.
After being defeated, Yumemi asks for her wish, which Reimu responds saying she wanted something to help her cleaning the shrine grounds. Yumemi gives her Ruukoto, but Reimu decides to not use her because she wasn’t good at the job.
( 04 : Lotus Land Story )
Reimu mulls over on how quiet things have been, but soon enough, youkai and spirits start flooding out into Gensokyo again, putting her shrine in danger. She confronts a few, then realizes this must have been the work of something bigger, and decides to go straight to the source of the issue. She makes her way through defeating Orange, the lake gatekeeper Kurumi and the actual gatekeeper of the Fantasy World (Elly). Inside, she bumps into Marisa Kirisame and defeats her to force her to go home. She finally meets Yuuka Kazami and defeats her twice.
Without apparent reason, Reimu ends up in a strange world where she meets and defeats Mugetsu, who claimed to be the creator of said world. Afterwards, Mugetsu leaves it to her older sister, but she is defeated too.
( 05 : Mystic Square )
A large outpour of demons are appearing throughout the land from Makai, and Reimu sets out to exterminate them. There, she beats the gatekeeper and several residents like Louise, Alice, Yuki and Mai. She reaches the creator of Makai itself, Shinki. She leaves Yumeko battle her, but ends up battling Reimu herself. Afterwards, Reimu learns that the youkai and demon overflow in Gensokyo is the fault of some kind of Makai travel agency. Shinki promises to do something about it, but the demons make their way back to the shrine anyway.
Reimu arrives to some strange world where she has a rematch with Alice, who was confident after having her grimoire at hand, but she gets defeated anyway.
( 06 : Embodiment of Scarlet Devil )
A scarlet mist covers the sky of Gensokyo. Reimu, who's annoyed by the mist, sets out to stop the incident. After beating Rumia and Cirno, she encounters the gatekeeper of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, Hong Meiling. After forcing her way through defeating her and defeating Patchouli Knowledge and Sakuya Izayoi, she finds the mansion's owner, Remilia Scarlet. She then explains that she has spread the mist to try and block out the sun's rays, as she is a vampire.
After defeating her, Remilia soon comes to visit her at the shrine, but Reimu has to return to the mansion when an odd rain suddenly appears over it, in order to deal with Flandre Scarlet.
( 07 : Perfect Cherry Blossom )
Even though it's May, spring shows no signs of coming, leaving the inhabitants of Gensokyo in a cold winter weather that only gets worse. Reimu, noticing cherry petals blowing from the Netherworld, decides to set out and stop the perpetrator from holding spring hostage. After making her way into the Netherworld, she comes to Hakugyokurou, where the ghost Yuyuko Saigyouji spends her time administrating the spirits of the dead. She was gathering the essence of spring to try and make the Saigyou Ayakashi bloom, but Reimu stops her before she completes it after defeating her gardener and protector Youmu Konpaku.
Later on, Yuyuko asks Reimu to go deal with her friend Yukari Yakumo, as she's the one who has been weakening the boundary between Gensokyo and the Netherworld. However, after defeating her shikigami and her, Reimu only gets a promise that Yukari will fix the barrier.
( 07.5 : Immaterial and Missing Power )
As Reimu makes preparations for an upcoming feast, both humans and youkai are drawn to the feast and are unable to stop partying. Reimu is suspicious of a strange mist that covers Gensokyo and goes to investigate. She roams around, beating up various characters she suspects to be the culprit. She cannot find them; but on the day of the feast, Suika Ibuki finally makes herself known, and Yukari Yakumo shows Reimu to her. Suika soons becomes attached to hanging out at the Hakurei Shrine.
( 08 : Imperishable Night )
Yukari isn't able to sleep and discovers the full moon is nowhere to be found; it has been replaced with a fake moon, and the night appears to have stopped. She convinces Reimu into investigating the cause with her. After dealing with a few youkai, and Marisa Kirisame in particular, who demands to know why they've created this eternal night, they reach Eientei, a house hidden in the Bamboo Forest of the Lost. Once there, they either confront Reisen Udongein Inaba and either Eirin Yagokoro or Kaguya Houraisan. Eirin explains that she actually sealed the Earth away from the Moon in order to prevent the Lunarians from taking Kaguya back. Kaguya, however, has tired of hiding, and so challenges Reimu and Yukari to complete her five impossible requests. Once they're defeated, they undo the seal (and thus "return" the real moon to Gensokyo). Afterwards, they all decide to have a moon viewing. In the Magic and Scarlet Team's scenarios, she attacks the teams in the Bamboo Forest of the Lost, accusing them of being behind the eternal night and falsely accusing the Magic Team of being behind the fake moon.
Later on, Kaguya sends them into another part of the Bamboo Forest of the Lost as a "test of guts" - but her true intentions are revealed to be trying to annoy Fujiwara no Mokou, another immortal human, and her eternal rival.
( 09 : Phantasmagoria of Flower View )
Reimu, who's usually easy-going, is disturbed by the amount of flowers blooming and, not to be the one who shrugs off her duties, goes on to search for answers. She fights through many opponents, including news reporter Aya Shameimaru, in search of the truth. Eventually she reaches Muenzuka, where the shinigami Komachi Onozuka, who appears to have been slacking off on her job to manage said spirits. Eiki Shiki, Yamaxanadu appears after Reimu beats Komachi up, and explains what's happening - an awful lot of spirits of the dead suddenly arrived from the Human World, and they're having trouble accomodating all of them. After a lecture, they do battle, and Reimu emerges victorious. The three of them have a flower viewing later on, where it's explained that as the spirits of the dead cross the Sanzu River, the flowers' blooming will settle down.
( 09.5 : Shoot the Bullet )
Reimu doesn't actually appear in Shoot the Bullet, but instead in a "Special story" that was added to the afterword. It shows that she and Marisa Kirisame are talking about a notebook Marisa found.
( 10 : Mountain of Faith )
Reimu receives a foreboding threat from a mysterious human visitor, who demands that the Hakurei shrine be shut down and submit to another god. Reimu decided to go to the Youkai Mountain to face the goddess who's making these threats. She fights her way up to the Moriya Shrine defeating youkai like the Aki Sisters, Hina Kagiyama, Nitori Kawashiro and Aya Shameimaru, and defeats the new shrine maiden, Sanae Kochiya, as well as the resident god of the new shrine, Kanako Yasaka, thus saving her own. Afterwards, Reimu summons everyone to the shrine to watch the autumn leaves, where she vouches for Sanae and Kanako and tells Nitori and Aya that they should invite them over for drinks sometime and generally get along. Sanae also tells Reimu that youkai are a good source of faith.
A while later, Marisa brings Reimu the rumor that a second god is actually living at the Moriya Shrine, and she goes to check it out. She then meets Suwako Moriya and defeats her.
( 10.5 : Scarlet Weather Rhapsody )
The Hakurei Shrine is suddenly destroyed by an earthquake, but upon consulting with Marisa, Reimu finds out that no one else felt it, so there must be something odd going on. She goes around to various suspicious characters, including Komachi Onodzuka, who Reimu initially suspects. However, it's not her, so Reimu ends up making her way towards Heaven, where the celestials Iku Nagae and Tenshi Hinanawi reside. Tenshi reveals she started the incident simply because she was bored watching everyone else getting involved in incidents and wanted to start her own. She also claims she destroyed Reimu's shrine so Reimu would be motivated to resolve the incident; Reimu promptly resolves the incident by defeating Tenshi. Afterwards, Tenshi has a legion of celestials help rebuild her shrine.
( 11 : Subterranean Animism )
A geyser appears behind Hakurei Shrine, and at first Reimu is happy, since its heat will alleviate the cold of winter. However, evil spirits begin emerging from the earth and loitering about Gensokyo. Reimu is sent to investigate with either Yukari Yakumo, Suika Ibuki, or Aya Shameimaru, depending on what shot type the player chooses. She communicates them throughout her trip via her Yin-Yang Orbs. She heads straight to the Underworld, and fights her way deeper and deeper until reaching the Palace of the Earth Spirits. There she meets Satori Komeiji, whose two pets apparently have something to do with it. Reimu defeats Rin Kaenbyou, then reaches Utsuho Reiuji, who, with her newfound powers, is maintaining the hellfire that heats the Underground, and is responsible for the geysers that let the evil spirits leak out. She defeats her as well, then returns to the surface. Rin starts frequenting the shrine, though mostly for food, and eventually they make the geyser behind the shrine into a hot spring.
Utsuho later explains how she came to possess such power, and it seems to point straight towards Kanako and Suwako, so Reimu sets off for the Youkai Mountain again. When she gets to the shrine, however, she meets Koishi Komeiji, who was apparently also looking for who gave Utsuho those powers. Suwako comes out to meet them after they fight and explains it's all part of their "industrial revolution project".
( 12 : Undefined Fantastic Object )
When the treasure ship appears in the skies of Gensokyo, Reimu decides to go after it. She forces her way into it defeating Nazrin, Kogasa Tatara and Ichirin Kumoi only to discover that there's no treasure inside. However, Minamitsu Murasa tells her they're headed to Makai to revive a "saint" of some sort. She follows them there and meets Shou Toramaru and the revived person in question, a Buddhist monk called Byakuren Hijiri who loves youkai and humans equally, something Reimu didn’t agree on and defeats her. She and Byakuren later fly around the skies on the ship, but afterwards the ship is landed and renovated into the Myouren Temple.
Reimu was with Sanae Kochiya in her shrine when Marisa appears after discovering that the fragments seemed to change form without reason and saying that not even Byakuren didn’t know what they were. Reimu followed the snake that came out of one fragment and then discovers Nue Houjuu, who explains the nature of UFO-like fragments and decides to join the Myouren Temple.
( 12.3 : Touhou Hisoutensoku )
Reimu, not the main character, is only playable via selectable character to play with. In Sanae's scenario, Reimu fights Sanae in the Underground Geyser Center, but is defeated. Later on, she reads about Hisoutensoku later on in a newspaper in the ending. Additionally, in Meiling's scenario, she doesn't actually appear, being replaced by a pseudo-Reimu who was sent by the Giant Catfish to assassinate Hong Meiling in her dreams, but was defeated.

A large number of divine spirits appear, threatening the flower viewing, so it's up to Reimu to figure out what's causing it. She visits the Netherworld first. After forcing her way to the graveyard defeating Kyouko Kasodani and Yoshika Miyako, she discovers the spirits all flocking to the Hall of Dreams' Great Mausoleum. Once inside, she defeats Yoshika's master, Soga no Tojiko, the newly resurrected Mononobe no Futo and Toyosatomimi no Miko in battle.

After being led by Seija to the inner parts of the castle, she defeats the Miracle Mallet-wielding Shinmyoumaru Sukuna.
Afterwards, a magical storm similar to the one caused by the Miracle Mallet rages and Reimu finds that the cause is the tsukumogami Raiko Horikawa, who had successfully changed her source of magic to that of the outside world. Shortly after the events of Perfect Cherry Blossom, Aya Shameimaru attends a flower viewing at the Hakurei Shrine, where she meets Reimu, who's in a foul mood since no one wants to help her clean up after event. Aya plies her with sake and questions her about the incident, commenting in the article that "Reimu just seems to be a laid-back drunkard". In the follow-up interview, Reimu claims Aya's paper is full of lies and insists her account of the incident is true, though Aya still doesn't recognize Reimu's deeds.
( Silent Sinner in Blue )
Sometime not long after the events of Mountain of Faith, Reimu is recruited by the members of the Scarlet Devil Mansion to power their rocket to the moon. The group is defeated by the Watatsuki sisters, who keep Reimu on the moon for a short period of time to clear their names before returning her unharmed to Gensokyo. Unbeknownst to almost everyone involved, their voyage was simply one part of a complex ploy by Yukari to intimidate the residents of Eientei.
( Cage in Lunatic Runagate )
In chapter 1 of Cage in Lunatic Runagate, Reimu visits Eientei to ask about an injured youkai rabbit at her shrine, but unbeknownst to her, it is actually a moon rabbit. Eirin sends her off and tells her that the rabbit might be a fox or tanuki youkai tricking her.
In chapter 8, the Watatsuki sisters lead Reimu around the Lunar Capital as she performs her god summoning. Later, Reimu attends the swimming party in the Scarlet Devil Mansion.
( Touhou Sangetsui )
The Three Fairies of Light often watch Reimu as she tends to the shrine and talks with Marisa about various happenstances. Reimu is also sometimes the target of the pranks by the three fairies as well.
( Symposium of Post-mysticism )
In Symposium of Post-mysticism, Reimu appeared on part 6 of the symposium. It was stated that Reimu was hiding and hearing over the whole symposium, that was attended by Hieda no Akyuu, Marisa Kirisame, Kanako Yasaka, Byakuren Hijiri and Toyosatomimi no Miko. When she was revealed by Akyuu, Marisa noticed that she had an angry look on her face (although she seems to not be angry with Akyuu). That's because she's not happy with the discussion the group was having, believing that it's all nonsense. She slammed a pile of newspapers in front of them to prove how bad the youkai are and tells them to stop the symposium immediately. She was requested by the humans of the Human Village to stop this as they were aware – and felt uncomfortable – of "non-humans" discussing on changing the way of Gensokyo's life. The group were unhappy with her personality and her way of "fight-first, ask-later" attitude towards youkai, and can't even spend another minute finishing their sake.
There was also an article included, written by Aya Shameimaru, that involved Reimu's broken-down Hakurei Shrine during the events of Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. It stated that it collapsed due to a localised earthquake and that the roof caved into the shrine. Aya found it suspicious that a celestial, that been Tenshi Hinanawi, came to help and re-build it.
( Wild and Horned Hermit )
Reimu finds her shrine frequented by a mysterious hermit going by the name of Kasen Ibaraki. Wild and Horned Hermit follows the various escapades and adventures of Reimu, Kasen, and her friends in concurrence to the timeline of the games.
( Forbidden Scrollery )
When book-lender Kosuzu Motoori of the Human Village begins dabbling with youma books, Reimu finds herself frequently having to sort out the incidents caused by the youkai that are released from them. Throughout the work, she struggles to maintain the image of a protector for the Human Village while maintaining the masquerade of Gensokyo's workings set in place by the youkai.
( Foul Detective Satori )
Reimu is the main target of Mizuchi Miyadeguchi - a vengeful spirit that can possess other beings - and works with other people in order to try and exterminate her.
( Lotus Eaters )
Reimu is seen visiting Geidontei, often undercover and investigating a minor incident. She is also seen performing her regular shrine maiden duties, hosting festivals and parties, and generally lazing at the shrine.
Tumblr media
🜉 relationships . . .
This section is also a heavy copy-paste. I can’t type it all please spare me.
Although Reimu often shows up as the main character, she doesn't participate in mundane activities to the extent Marisa Kirisame does, limiting her familiarity with most of Gensokyo's population. Nevertheless, she has interacted with almost every other character that has ever made a physical appearance, with a few exceptions such as the Giant Catfish, Renko Usami, and Maribel Hearn.
( Marisa Kirisame )
Marisa is a close friend of Reimu. They are seen together most often in the print works, game and extra stage prologues where they hang out at the shrine together, chatting about the latest rumors and news in Gensokyo. Marisa even helped Reimu in her festivals before.
Reimu and Marisa often quarrel and spar with each other, for reasons ranging from resolving incidents to hotpot ingredients. Those fights can end up in a danmaku battle like in the Stage 4 of Imperishable Night or their battles in the fighting games. Regardless, they usually resolve their differences and continue being as close as ever.
They’ve also worked together on numerous occasions, such as when they chased down an enenra, [46] or worked to exterminate a vengeful spirit. However, they usually solve incidents at their own pace, and Marisa often aims to solve incidents or events before Reimu.
( Yukari Yakumo )
Yukari occasionally seeks Reimu's assistance in resolving incidents, such as in Imperishable Night, Subterranean Animism and Antimony of Common Flowers, as well as mentoring Reimu to push her spiritual powers to invoke the gods in Silent Sinner in Blue. She remarks about compensating Reimu accordingly during the Imperishable Night incident. Yukari is also secretly a benefactor as well, donating to the shrine behind Reimu's back, something that the latter is unaware of.
( Suika Ibuki )
Suika Ibuki, who often freeloads her shrine after the events of Immaterial and Missing Power, was also one of her allies during Subterranean Animism. Reimu saw Suika's presence as a nuisance at first, but never really bothered with driving her away.
( Aya Shameimaru )
Aya Shameimaru frequently writes articles about the Hakurei Shrine and Reimu's activities, which are often made in an unflattering light. Reimu is one of the people Aya distributes her newspaper to without asking for permission, something Reimu finds annoying. Nevertheless, they have helped each other in the past - Aya was another ally during the events of Subterranean Animism, and Reimu gave Aya information to try and expose Miyoi Okunoda as a youkai.
( Rinnosuke Morichika )
Reimu is familiar with Rinnosuke Morichika, a shopkeeper who owns Kourindou, who she sometimes visits to hang out or for wares. She apparently has a large unpaid tab for requested items and services, but denies it since Rinnosuke "never accepts money" (which he denies being the case). Rinnosuke was also the one that originally prepared her purification rod for her use, and handles all her clothing related issues.
( Sanae Kochiya )
Sanae and Reimu first met when she tried to help Hakurei Shrine out by attempting to get it to switch gods to Kanako Yasaka. After Mountain of Faith, Sanae offered to help Reimu as a fellow shrine maiden to gather faith for the shrine. Sanae Kochiya is on friendly terms with Reimu and appears frequently in Wild and Horned Hermit alongside Reimu and Marisa, sometimes coming to maintain the Moriya branch shrine at the Hakurei Shrine. The two have no qualms about antagonizing the other at times as competitors for gathering faith and visitors, though these quarrels are usually resolved by the next time they meet.
( Kasen Ibaraki )
Throughout Wild and Horned Hermit, Kasen Ibaraki is a regular at the shrine and acts as a mentor (and sometimes guardian) of Reimu, whom she fears is too concerned with worldly desires. Kasen actually initially became Reimu's mentor as part of her own plan, but she continues to view herself as a mentor after her goals were achieved. Kasen is openly critical of Reimu, believing her to be too greedy and slack in her duties. In spite of this and Reimu's annoyance at Kasen's nagging and preaching, Reimu views Kasen as a genuine friend. When fighting Kasen's arm, Reimu was unable to bring herself to fight Kasen whole-heartedly until she realized that the arm battling her was actually a separate entity from Kasen. By the present day, Reimu knows that Kasen is secretly an oni, but partially due to this friendship and partially due to owing Kasen for all the money that one of Kasen's schemes got her, Reimu can't tell anyone else about it.
( Three Fairies of Light )
Reimu is often the target of pranks by the Three Fairies of Light, and Reimu tends to exterminate them on sight whenever she catches them (unless Marisa's escorting them). As of Oriental Sacred Place, the three fairies moved into a tree near the Hakurei Shrine and became Reimu's neighbors, increasing the amount of pranks even more. Reimu wanted to evict the fairies, but could not find their treehouse, which is actually located on the Hakurei Border. Eventually, in an attempt to befriend Reimu so she'll no longer threaten them, the three fairies challenge her to a battle, reasoning that Reimu tends to befriend many youkai after fighting them. Marisa finds that, even though Reimu pointed out that their line of reasoning was utterly ridiculous, she befriended the fairies after all, and the fairies now happily openly spend time at the shrine while helping Reimu out with various chores.
( Kosuzu Motoori )
Kosuzu Motoori, the daughter of the book-lender in the Human Village, is convinced that no harm will come to her from dealing with youma books, because she is sure that Reimu will come save her if anything happens. Throughout Forbidden Scrollery, Reimu frequently finds herself having to solve minor incidents caused by Kosuzu's actions, while also struggling to keep Kosuzu in her place as a human villager in Gensokyo's society.
( Genjii )
In the PC-98 canon, Reimu used a turtle as a means for flight until the end of Mystic Square; that turtle was Genjii. Reimu calls him "gramps".
( Ruukoto )
Reimu obtains a robotic maid named Ruukoto as a servant at the end of Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream from Yumemi Okazaki as her wish, though no reference has been made to it since.
( Mima )
Mima is an vengeful spirit who haunts the surroundings of the Hakurei Shrine, at least in the PC-98 canon. After many confrontations and being resealed by Reimu, she decides to spend her days making fun of the shrine maiden.
( Misumaru Tamatsukuri )
Although Reimu never met her before the Ability Card Incident, she was responsible for creating the Hakurei Yin-Yang Orbs.

Reimu is very friendly and laid-back, and you shouldn’t expect her to be super uber serious about the work she performs for you. She’ll handle it, but with a smile and a laid-back demeanor.

Welcome to my blog and journey!
Hi, you can call me Khajiit. I'm a pagan and eclectic magician who focuses on a The Elder Scrolls, Touhou Project, and Pokémon based religion and magical practice. This is my The Elder Scrolls Pop Culture Paganism / Magic blog. I made this blog to talk about my progress, my faith, my practice, and share information on these guides, as well as my experiences and worship.
I am sharing both to log myself and to be kind to others, in the name of the Gods I love.
Part of the point of this blog is to share the Quick Start Guides - Which is something I made to help provide enough information about a guide to start with. I hope they can help people begin working with a guide that they're interested in. Said quick starts utilize a lot of UPG, so just keep that in mind. If you want non-UPG sources, UESP is a great place to start, mostly the lore pages. I share my posts for those who are willing to consider UPG in their practice.

About Me
Call me Khajiit. they/them/their, ze/zym/zeyr, crypti/cryptic/cryptics, 🦚/🦚s & Mx. or Misc. asexual aromantic. 20+. white. neurodivergent, mentally ill.
Eclectic magic doer / magician. My religion is pretty much exclusively TES based, though I work with other entities. This blog is TES focused.
Performing since 2022. However, I believe these guides have been calling me since childhood.
I welcome any and all who are interested in TES worship, even if we deeply and utterly disagree on some aspects of it.
I do not talk about anything other than TES worship and my practice on this blog, by choice.
Most posts are queued. Informational posts are queued, Khajiit Speaks (my personal talking tag) usually isn't. I used to have my queue post a lot more but I felt bad about spamming the tags on accident due to them not being very active.
I use tone tags in my personal posts.
Other Blogs

Staples of my Worship and Practice
Working and working alongside are two sides of the same coin for me.
I worship all Gods, Dov, Dragon Priests, and Saint worship. Mostly focused right now on Aedra, Daedra, a few Dov, Sithis, and the Tribunal. This list changes sporadically as I feel like it. Yes, it's a lot, I have my ways to work it.
I utilize Lesser Daedra in my practice as helper spirits. I sometimes utilize other spirits from the series. but mostly Daedra.
I practice the magic that the TES guides have taught me.
I keep a few physical shrines group-dedicated to the deity guides and non-deity guides (saints) respectively; but use Pinterest altars for individual shrines, as well as visualized shrines in my head.
I partake in daily worship, though pick and choose a guide for the day.
Main Gods & Guides It's just the Main Guys I engage with, not everyone I engage with. (I have others outside of this, but this is a TES blog.) ⛤ GODS – Alduin . Clavicus Vile . Hermaeus Mora . Kynareth . Meridia . Molag Bal . Odahviing . Paarthurnax . Sheogorath . Sithis . Vivec . Zolstiura

Some Things to Know
This blog focuses mostly on my personal experiences, UPG, how I build the faith, and thoughts.
I generally follow the belief that the gods came first and were inserted into media. Media is not infallible canon, as I believe that sometimes when we insert Gods into media, we change them to be more entertaining. As well, one could take the TES lore to be akin to mythology, where it's just as prone to biases, either for or against a specific entity. This isn't to mean that all information from the fictional canon is bunk, but rather I do not hold it above what I've learned personally. I started all of my worship of any of these entities with studying from the fictional canon, afterall. You can read more about my stance in this post here, but keep in mind I don't mind if people disagree as long as respect is there.
I do not believe the Daedra are evil, though they are not necessarily always morally good either. They are morally grey at best. See my above point - This means I honor entities like Molag Bal despite what canon says about Him, which I will admit official fictional canon is pretty brutal, because I believe Him to be an entirely different entity than what fictional canon attests about Him.
With the above two points, I cannot and do not blame anybody who refuses to work with entities because of their fictional counterparts. That's a valid choice.
I believe in many Daedric Princes that are not seen within the fictional canon, that Hermaeus Mora shared with me. I do not care if people include or dis-include them in their Daedra worship, just ask that people respect that I believe in them.
Any info I share is up to debate, yes, as it is UPG, but I ask you to be respectful when saying "xyz does/n't actually like this!" I am sharing my own personal experiences and what I've been personally told and learned, and you are, simply, doing the same in return to me. Let's be respectful to each other, yes, in the name of Stendarr, it will surely make Him happy.
I believe the Gods interact directly with mortals often, so I may often speak of direct interactions I have in non-info posts.
I firmly believe that the Gods (and Saints as well) are deeply, truly, beautifully multifaceted. I can never see all sides of them, so when I see that someone has a different experience with this God, I simply assume that it's another facet of their being that They do not show to me, and that's okay!
I put a lot of emphasis on knowing the guides I work with, so that's why I put so much emphasis on posting information about them, and why I have so much collected over just a short amount of time. That's because I've spent entire days collectively gathering this information, listening, and writing it all down for others.
I refer to some gods with neopronouns.

Me: I probably won't make Touhou and Pokémon side blogs, because it's not really that super big despite me primarily being a pop culture pagan honestly. I'd like to but I don't see the point Me, getting the Itch in the back of my brain that is usually a guide saying to do it: Me, taking the excuse to do it: WELL IF THE GODS SAY SO
