Slider, realizing what he said and who he said it to (because, of course, Mav’s parents didn’t pay enough attention to him. They’re gone): Don’t you dare leave

Mav: But I-

Slider: Come here, kid

Mav: *creeps closer*

Slider, pulling Mav onto the couch with him and shoving down concern when Maverick goes stiff as a board: You can be right here, okay? Just... stay put. Nap, twiddle your thumbs, whatever. You don’t have to be obnoxious to get our attention

Maverick: *sniffs* Okay

Slider, minutes later with a sleepy aviator dozing on him: Huh. Well, that was easy

Today, I joined an instance of Project Aincrad, which has really been gathering steam since the VRC devs implemented Persistence (so player data can finally be saved). I partied up with a couple of anime people, a glassy-eyed big-clawed furry, and a floppy but intrepidly quadrupedal regular cartoon horse. We ran around jumping and batting at wasps and hogs with our blades, and met some other people (with better blades) along the way. I put three skill points into STR and one of my bosom companions (the furry) died, losing his acquired skills and experience, before I had to leave them all behind to go help my mom with something.

Thoughts on slider x iceman

FNAF FANS GO AWAY ITS TIME FOR TOP GUN BABBLE LOL

They knew each other in primary school but they don’t remember, Slider was the only one to approach Ice and ask him to play on the playground

The kids didn’t like how “un-fun” Ice was for his age so he was often alone, but Slider just saw that as a quirk and found him interesting and unique to have as company— Slider was Ice’s first friend

When they found each other again, their dynamic hit it off: Slider with his energy being untamed now had a direction to use that energy towards with Ice’s leadership, think of them like a bow and arrow

Ice was the one to make the first move

They were out on the beach with a bonfire party behind them, cigarette in Ice’s hand and a bottle of beer in Slider’s, Ice hated the building tension Slider didn’t act on, so he just grabbed Slider’s collar surprisingly and kissed him

Ice likes holding his hands, they’re not much bigger than his but they’re more rough and warmer in temperature

Slider knows of Ice not being very fond of public affection so he’s more discreet with touches and words when outside

Small things like grabbing Ice’s hand to lead him somewhere or shoulder touches are enough to create butterflies

Ice and Slider had opposite sleeping schedules but their routine worked well

Ice would stay up reading or working, most of the time Slider would fall asleep to Ice reading aloud for him to listen as well or the sound of keys clicking

On the other end, Ice would often wake up to Slider gently rocking him awake with the smell of coffee or food on the stove

Ice started to get really picky with other people’s food once Slider took over the kitchen

While Ice isn’t for public affection he’s not shy to say or correct others of his and Slider’s relationship

Slider wants a bunch of dogs and Ice hates that, but they negotiated and got a puppy— it became Ice’s favorite

They lived together as if they were married but never got the time to with their career growth and when Ice started to get sick his health was more important

And when Ice died, Slider started a tradition of cooking two plates of meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner, for Ice’s birthday to make sure he’s never alone

He always visits with their dog to make sure Ice had fresh flowers and the grass around him was trimmed and green, when it eventually came that Slider didn’t have the energy to go, he would send someone in his place to do it for him

But he never forgot Ice, and eventually reunited with him

Their grave stones are side by side as if they were still in bed, Ice typing out a report and Slider drifting off to the sound

I'm finding that people (especially men let's be real) look at me a lot more and talk to me more warmly since I started wearing contact lenses and I don't know what to make of it?? am I "pretty" now?? was I invisible to them before??? it's not unwelcome it's just a bizarre thing to start experiencing literally overnight

Okay so picture this: they’re playing volleyball on the beach: Ice and Slider vs Maverick and Goose with the others watching from the stands and the games really close when all of a sudden there’s this high pitched shriek and a little girl running towards them. And they watch as Ice completely abandons the game and scoops up the giggling child with a broad grin, tossing her up in the air while a woman makes her way towards them. Mav is confused but then filled with intense jealously and disbelief when Ice kissed the lady on the cheek like excuse me??? Like, he and Ice had been flirting non stop for weeks and Maverick was almost gathering up the nerve to make his move but this lady is able to swoop in and steal his man just like that?? Or was that Ice’s wife and Maverick was just the side piece? So Maverick is understandably feeling guilty but also jealous and very very angry because Ice was supposed to be his. And Goose looks away from Slider and Ice talking with the lady and notices Maverick pouting but Goose just laughs at him!!

But then the lady, Slider, and Ice, still holding the admittedly cute little girl, start to make their way over and they’re introduced to Ice’s sister and niece who wanted to surprise Iceman with a quick visit and suddenly Maverick is feeling very stupid. And now that Mav is looking at them side by side… yeahhhhh they kinda do look alike don’t they. Goose, the dick, is bent over laughing wildly because of course he knew and of course he chose to watch Maverick squirm instead of telling him the truth.

And it’s later that night after his sister and niece have left, after a couple drinks at the o-club, and after they began their walk back to their housing that Mav found himself walking beside Ice. The rest of the aviators were well ahead of them and Ice took the opportunity to tease Maverick in his cool tone of voice that he usually enjoyed but right now it was just pissing him off so Maverick grabbed the collar of Ice’s shirt and kissed him right then and there.
