We return to my series where I discuss the origins of all non-fish aquatic Pokémon. This time we’re going over gen II, which has a lot fewer Pokémon to go over than gen I. You can see the gen I entries here and here. To see my previous series where I covered all fish Pokémon, see here. To see the Gen II fish see here. As with before, I will be covering starters and legendaries/mythicals on their own, so no Totodile line or Suicune this time.
The Azurill line are based on mice and water rats. Water rat is the common name for a number of loosely-related rodents that spend enough time in the water that they are considered semiaquatic mammals.
Tumblr media
(Image: a water rat going for a swim)
The line’s ball-shaped tails that can be used for flotation is likely a reference to beach balls and personal flotation devices like life jackets. The beach ball connection is furthered with how round the whole line is. The round and positively buoyant tails could also be a reference to bladder kelp, which has round bladders filled with air that keeps the seaweed standing up. Marill and, to a lesser extent, Azurill’s silhouettes resemble a water molecule, with the round ears looking like the hydrogen atoms attached to the larger ball that is the larger oxygen atom. Azumarill adds rabbit characteristics and may specifically reference the North American swamp rabbit, which lives in wetlands and is a good swimmer.
Tumblr media
(Image: a swamp rabbit going for a swim)
Marill and Azumarill having white spots on their bellies/undersides may be an example of countershading. This is when an aquatic animal is white below and dark above. This allows the animal to be camouflaged both from above (where its dark side looks like deep water or the substrate) and below (where its white underbelly looks like the surface of the water. The reason why Azurill is normal-type instead of water-type likely ties in with it being underdeveloped compared to the other two stages. It is likely a juvenile that is too young to swim and relies on its parents to bring it food while it hides in a nest. This is backed up in Scarlet and Violet, where Azurill is only found by the water’s edge while the other two can be found swimming.
Wooper and its evolutions are based on salamanders. Both variants of Wooper are based on larval salamanders only partway through their metamorphosis. Like frogs, Salamanders start out as tadpoles with external gills and as they age, will grow legs and lose the gills. Wooper still has not grown its arms and retains its gills.
Tumblr media
(Image: an eastern tiger salamander at two different stages of metamorphosis)
Wooper is specifically based on the axolotl, a species of Mexican salamanders known for retaining juvenile traits into adulthood, most notably its fully aquatic lifestyle and external gills. Its shiny color furthers that connection as pet axolotls are often bred for albinism or other forms of pigment loss. Their natural coloration is dark brown like the Paldean variant. Both the Japanese and English names for Wooper come from “ūpārūpā” (“wooper looper” in English), a name for axolotls created as a marketing term to encourage people to buy them as pets. Paldean Wooper losing its habitat and being forced into muddy areas could reference how wild axolotls are critically engendered due to habitat loss.
Tumblr media
(Image: an axolotl)
Once Wooper evolves, it becomes an adult salamander, specifically a cryptobranchid. These are huge aquatic salamanders that also inspired the Slowpoke line. They are extremely slow and typically move only in response to danger, to get food, or to mate. Quagsire reflects this with it being very slow, easy-going, and dumb. Cryptobranchids lack gills as adults, but are still fully aquatic. They breathe by absorbing oxygen through their wrinkly skin, which could be the inspiration for the frill going down Quagsire’s back.
Tumblr media
(Image: a Japanese giant salamander)
Clodsire keeps the cryptobranchid inspiration (and is a more accurate representation due to being a quadruped and brown) but also takes inspiration from the Iberian ribbed newt. This species has a defense mechanism where it can force its sharp ribs out of its skin. At the same time, it secrets poison onto the ribs. If anything tries to eat the newt, it can instead get a mouthful of toxic spikes. Clodsire’s poison-typing and the spikes the come out of the spots on its back are references to this.
Tumblr media

Corsola is a Pokémon I wish was better, because a coral Pokémon is a really fun idea. Coral is a relative of jellyfish and anemones that consists of tiny polyps working together in a colony. Hard coral, which is the type Corsola is based off of, form a limestone skeleton which gradually grows over the course of sometimes centuries. This is why Corsola is part rock-type. If a piece of the coral skeleton breaks off, it can regenerate, though Corsola doing so in a single night is a considerable exaggeration. Like the most famous corals, Corsola lives in shallow tropical seas and needs clean water. Most well-known species of coral have a symbiotic relationship with algae that lives inside the polyps. The algae provides an extra source of food via photosynthesis. This seems to be the case for Corsola too, as it can often be seen basking in the sun. The large colonies that Corsola form are analogous to coral reefs. Various Pokedex entries say that people can build houses on top of the colonies. This is likely a reference to how coral reefs can eventually form small islands. Corsola is likely based on the staghorn coral, with grows large branching structures like Corsola.
Tumblr media
(image: staghorn coral)
Multiple Pokedex entries say that Corsola can’t live in polluted water. When it does what you get is Galarian Corsola and its evolution, Cursola. This population of Corsola was wiped out by sudden climate change and returned as ghosts. They are based on the phenomenon of coral bleaching. When the water gets too warm, coral polyps will expel the symbiotic algae and turn white. Bleached coral can still survive, but is at much higher risk of death. A dead coral colony leaves behind a white limestone skeleton. Coral bleaching is occurring worldwide as a result of climate change. There is also a reference to ocean acidification. As the ocean becomes more acidic, the calcium carbonate that many animals, some corals included, use to make their shells is becoming more rare. This results is animals having weaker shells. Similarly, Johtonian Corsola’s branches are solid and sturdy while the Galarian line’s are wispy and insubstantial.
Tumblr media
(image: bleached coral)
I discussed Remoraid in my fish post and now I get to talk about its evolution: Octillery. To answer the common question, a fish evolves into an octopus because they’re both based on firearms, animals that have suckers, and animals that use jets of water. Octillery is based on an artillery cannon, with its mouth (based on the siphon of a real octopus) being the cannon and its two front tentacles being the legs or wheels of the cannon.
Tumblr media
(image: an artillery cannon)
Its Japanese name is Okutank and its beta design definitely had some major tank influences.
Tumblr media
(image: the beta design for Octillery)
Octillery learns a lot of shooting or beam moves and real octopi are also good at shooting. They take in water and shoot it out the siphon to move and disturb sediment, and can release a cloud of ink as a defense. One trait Octillery does not share with octopi is its rock-hard head. Real octopi are soft-bodied animals whose only hard body part is their beak. Its hard head is based on a soldier’s helmet (more apparent in its beta art), but also may be based on the internal shells that some other species of cephalopod (most notable the cuttlefish) have and that octopus ancestors used to have.
That finishes up Johto. Next time I’ll move on to generation III. I may end up splitting Hoenn into two posts like I did with Kanto as there are a lot of aquatic animals there as well.

Okay!!! I drew this last night but it was right before bed so I waited to post it so I'd have time to write. This is a tentative design, I'm probably going to restructure that...vest? At least a little bit. Meet Dillia. Technically she's been on the blog once before, when I was working on my Johto trainer outfit...from when I would have been like TWELVE. Today's my birthday by the way, I just turned THIRTY-FIVE.
Dillia was from my original Silver version. I still have the cartridge, but the battery died at some point years ago. When Heart Gold and Soul Silver came out, I was at a point in my life where I couldn't afford to buy new games all the time, so I skipped them. For years after I was buttmad that I have a big gap in my Pokemon experience. From HGSS up until I suppose SwSh, I wasn't buying the new stuff. I'm a lot more financially stable now, but in the meanwhile all the prices on used games had been rocketing up. Well, last year Josh the Boyfriend got me a reasonably-priced legitimate copy of Soul Silver off an ebay listing he had been watching. I had to prep the file with my usual habits (get to the name rater and nickname everything, designate a world sacrifice etc) and wanted to clear out some of my gen 3 backlog (beat leaf green three times, lol, then sapphire, alpha sapphire, and emerald) before starting a new file. I have started a new file!
I had to reset like 14 times for a female Totodile, but it was important to me that I get Dillia back. When I got her the first time, I had no idea that female starters were rare. Totodiles have always simply been female to me. She's almost as beloved as Tortoise, a lifelong companion that has been with me since I was very young. I've waited so long to revive her, it's a shame. I don't have full designs for her gijinka forms yet, but I had done a rough sketch a few years ago.
Using Tortoise's timeline sketch as a guide, Dillia should have Totodile, Croconaw, and Feraligatr forms for her original game, then after death and rebirth in the new game. I think what I want to do is give her very tame clothes in her old life (stuff I would've worn in 2001, 90s thrift store jackets and basic jeans), and punkier stuff for her new life.
I still have a lot of other art to do (champion art for the Alpha Sapphire guys, and the Emerald guys, and...my entire webcomic Laserwing...and other things...) but I wanted to get the basic idea of Dillia out to commemorate her return.
Hopefully she'll help me remember a bunch of other Silver Pokemon that have been lost to the haze of time!

ACTION CHOSEN: [Fight]
Playback Continuing...
Diamond won't make a move.
So Cyn does.
The little anomaly takes off in a sprint towards Lugia and begins to roll, wreathing herself in flame and sailing through the air to smack into the larger pokemon.
[CYN used FLAME WHEEL]
Diamond watches in wide-eyed terror as Cyn falls towards the water after the attack and Lugia rears back for a move. Diamond begins to move.
One step.
Another.
Two more.
Faster
Move FASTER damn it!
Cyn is near the water's surface now. You have to catch her.
Diamond jumps off the rocks and takes a deep breath.
[LUGIA used AEROBLAST]
The vortex of air collides with the pair, rocketing them through the cave, and into the water. Diamond clings tightly to Cyn, despite the pressure threatening to pull them apart as they are sent deeper and deeper into the water.
.
..
...
..
.
"please..."
.
..
.
Diamond blacks out.
.
..
...
..
.
You are not of this world.
Diamond's eyes open. All is dark. Yet in front of them, shimmering in the water is the legendary pokemon.
"A-" Diamond starts to speak but quickly shuts their mouth as air escapes and water rushes in. The bubbles float towards their feet.
I can read your thoughts. No need to speak. Save your air.
Diamond tears their eyes away from the legendary- because they spot something. A small dark shape sinking in the water. Sinking deeper. So Diamond follows. Descending further. Lugia swims just behind.
Your 'partner'... they do not belong here either, correct?
They do. Diamond thinks.
But if they stay they could destroy everything.
Diamond takes Cyn in their arms. The pokemon doesn't look like cyndaquil, or chikorita, or even totodile. More a formless shape of glitching inky blackness
Your task is foolish.
Diamond stays quiet and despite their legs feeling like they're going to give out, begins to swim back up, pulling Cyn with them. As they rise, Lugia continues to follow.
You should leave them. You will not reach the surface before your strength gives out.
I can't. I have to keep them safe.
You will not survive.
.
..
...
..
.
Diamond wakes up on the rock platform- dry, and feeling like they've been hit over the head with a mallet.
In their arms is Cyn. In their totodile form. Passed out. They very slowly sit up- wincing from the pain. A few feet away their jacket is laid out to dry somewhat- though there's now a hole in the back where the aeroblast hit. Diamond looks around. And their eyes land on a large white shape not too far away- Lugia. Asleep. Well. presumably.
Very carefully and quietly while still holding Cyn, Diamond stands and grabs their coat. out of a pocket falls a dive ball. It bounces on the rocks with a hollow plastic-y sound. Lugia raises its head and twists its neck to look at Diamond. Diamond stops and stares. It lowers its head, curling it back around its body.
They stand still like that for what feels like an eternity before the creature speaks.
You are an incredibly foolish human.
Diamond scoffs. and goes back to walking towards the exit of the cave.
"Why save me then. If you think so little of me." The grumble it, not really expecting an answer as they leave the cave.
Who said I saved you?
Diamond doesn't respond. Just continues out of the cave. Their steps echo off the walls as they go.

❌ silver!!!
[A mewtube uploaded titled “idiot robs a mart and dies.” It’s security cam footage of Silver ‘looking’ at the walls of goods until the employee steps into the back. Silver reaches for something but his own Poké Ball gets released somehow. His Totodile snaps his jaws at him. He scowls at it, and it doesn’t seem to like that, spraying water in his face. He’s now got his hair clinging to his face as he returns Totodile, in more of a poorer mood, unsurprisingly. As he turns away, you can see a glint of a stolen revive in his jacket pocket.]

Jetssum, the Jetting Pokemon Jetssum use their propeller twintails to jet across bodies of water at high speeds. Its webbed feet have made it harder to walk on land than it was as a Flotssum. Wild Jetssum are almost always found ferrying around a number of Flotssum or other Pokemon, which help keep its back clean in exchange for the rides around the water.
Types: Water Abilities: Torrent Hidden Ability: Baby On Board — When this Pokemon enters, it drops the Speed stat of the fastest foe by one stage.
Jetssum is the second stage of Manaka's water starter, trading up its life jacket into a lifeboat and its dead man's float for a sharp deadrise. While its final stage will be rather slow, Jetssum is quite fast, and Eviolite+Baby On Board Jetssum should hopefully be a viable pick at lower tiers, though if it's good enough for OU something has probably gone wrong.
Midstage starters are probably one of the hardest Pokemon to design, with the possible exception of box legends. First stage starters need to be some flavor of adorable; there's a range between cute and cool and a lot of variety in cutes and cools, but they have to be chill little dudes that carry part of your marketing, and nearly all starters are excellent at that part. On the flip side, last stage starters need to be some flavor of awesome; there's still a range in there, from the elegance of Primarina, to the coolness of Incineroar, to the raw awesome of Charizard, but they all need to be imposing power fantasies that carry part of your marketing, and nearly all starters are excellent at that part.
Midstages then get stuck with the unenviable position of needing to be the middle point between the harmless cute friendo and powerful epic beast, which is why so many of them feel like awkward teenage phases. It seems like they've even been leaning into it lately, with mons like Dartix, Raboot, and Quaxwell. This is something I wanted to avoid with the Manaka starters.
Starter lines tend to fall into four(-and-a-half) shapes 1. Some kind of three stage growth helps tie the three together. Bulbasaur and Turtwig are the icons of this, with Treecko and Chikorita doing it slightly less well. Unsurprisingly, this is easiest to do with Grass, and will be something I try for Mischaff. 2. Good adolescent stages, where there's still some pretty stark changes, but it definitely feels like a continuous metamorphosis. If this is confusing, Chespin is the king of this one. Chimchar and Piplup also do this excellently, with Cyndaquil and Totodile doing this competently if unexciting. I made fun of it before, but Quaxly probably does belong here. Froakie, and probably Mudkip and Popplio fit here as well, giving Water domination of this one. I am trying to take this route with Flotssum as well, with the lifejacket upgrading into a lifeboat, though we'll have to wait for the last stage to see if it's actually... 3. Fakeout line, where the middle stage very closely mimics one of the stages at the expense of the other. The gen 5 starters were built this way as a gimmick. The fakeout can happen from either side, with Torracat and Crocalor matching their first stage quite well but completely failing to live up to their last stage, and Floragato and Braixen doing the reverse. I'm not really sure which of those two I prefer, but I don't super like either of them and am trying to avoid them here. 4. Just kind of melting. While Charmeleon and Wartortle have some excuse, Dartrix, Thwackey, and Drizzile do not. I would put Combusken and Raboot here too, but I could accept people putting them in #2.
This does leave out Chareek. While I have a decent idea of its final stage, its midstage is still a big question, and part of why I analyzed all of this in the first place. I certainly want to avoid 3 and 4, but where we end up is still unresolved.

Mewtwo teleports into their kitchen while they're all sleeping, and leaves gifts from Flannery and Donovan. Morgan gets a few spell and cookbooks from other universes, Ashe gets a few plushies and a neat magatama for good luck. Leon gets a few battle items, a few hats, and a 'property of Ashe' jacket. (skullboneandunown)
Tumblr media
The gifts and Mewtwo are met by Merlin who gives a wave of his paw to let the Santatwo do his job. The gifts are then taken by Merlin and put under a tree decorated with many decorations bought from around the various regions. Merlin gives in particular a snow globe to Mewtwo to give to Flannery and Donovan.
'Ashelia wanted them to have this.' It was of ironically a Torchic and a Totodile playing in the snow symbolizing the two of her friends. 'She had it made as a late present... and...' Merlin takes the time to wrap a scarf around Mewtwo's neck that's a dark blue color. 'Ashelia would want you to have that to keep warm. Merry Yuletide.'
With that, Merlin goes and plops on the couch, waving his goodbye before going back to his hot cocoa.

This reminds me of a headcanon I once had. Bc one of my SS playthroughs, my Totodile was a female, I had a headcanon that Silver's would be a female Feraligatr. And I thought it'd would be funny since Silver didn't really have the guidance of both parents, the Feraligatr felt the need to look after him, like a momma croc. So whenever it feels as though he is in danger (he challenged someone to a battle. He is the danger.) It would lift him by the scruff of his jacket. The opponent would look in shock or concern, and he just calmly responds, "No no, she does this." His eyes narrow, and he points at them, "This isn't over. I'll be back." And the momma croc carries him to safety lol

Can you tell us a cute story about a baby pokemon being baby? The thing about baby pokemon panicking about their first tooth falling out had me in tears!
lil new-hatch Totodile that followed me around all the time, didn't understand what a reflection was for a few days. I took great joy for that entire time watching her try to front up/run from herself. literally paused all my work just to watch them figure it out. Some days just be like that.
Had a little sickly Phanpy that HAD to hold onto clothing to go anywhere. I was doing rounds with this thing holding onto my lab coat, all day. At night it wouldn't sleep alone, we set up a manakin with a spare jacket on it, would fall asleep holding onto the sleeve. Plenty of baby Dwebble figuring out that they can make shells out of all sorts. Ones in egg cups, flower pots, i've seen one in a boot, some mess with old toys. Creepiest thing is one in an old broken dolls head, some take up residence in the shells of other deceased mons. Krabby bits, ferroseed shells, all sorts. Their creativity and curiosity is pretty impressive.

Here's the current team! Dillia, BellaBella, and Maria had their designs already but Steely, Hopscotch, and Daniel are new. I did them as lil chibis because it's faster and easier. Every one of them is a remembered, resurrected Pokemon from my old gen 2 game, except for Daniel, who was this cartridge's sacrifice when I reset the original file.
Dillia - Strong and reliable and a little bit edgy. I've always thought of the Totodile line as inherently feminine because mine was a girl, but they're still big crocodile monsters. She's tough and ready to fight, hanging at the back of the party to step in if the others can't win a battle.
BellaBella - The most reliable Vine Whipper in early Johto where everything else just has Tackle. A battle prodigy who walks fearlessly into danger; sometimes her confidence gets her into trouble. She seems pretty and ladylike but has bad table manners. Bella and Dillia are both messy eaters and everyone else thinks it's gross.
Maria - Easygoing and forgiving, waited very patiently to reach the name rater when I accidentally gave her a boy's name at first. Enjoys jogging at night. Thinks she should do something new with her hair but never decides on a style.
Steely - I remembered having a Pidgeot with Steel Wing but couldn't recall a name, so 'Steely' is a half-remembered resurrection. He doesn't remember much of his previous life, but he's pretty sure he always lived a happy, uncomplicated existence. He likes battles and strives to get better at them, but doesn't come off as an aggressive guy.
Hopscotch - I absolutely knew I had a Jumpluff in my champion team but that he was useless. I just needed someone who could use Flash and he was terrible in battle. He also didn't have a nickname...that I can remember. Hopscotch is content with a life on the sidelines but I'm a better trainer now (and moveset options are much better in 4th gen) and I might be able to pick a moveset that brings out his full potential.
Daniel - I got my Soul Silver cartridge used, and its original owner was apparently named Daniel. He last saved his game in the middle of Union cave, with a Bayleef and 4 underleveled catches. I shuffled those Pokemon into my Platinum cart and left Soul Silver with one resident, a Slowpoke named for Daniel. In my new file, I've recaught him.
Edmond's namesake left behind a fully completed game. Edmond grew up in the shadow of someone who knew what he was doing. Daniel...might have been a little kid? Or simply someone who quickly got bored with Pokemon. Additionally, most of my 'world sacrifice' Pokemon have some kind of unhappy memory from being deleted then reformed. But in this Soul Silver run, my entire team is made of resurrected Pokemon from a dead Game Boy cartridge, so that's not special. Plus, this time I picked a Slowpoke, a species well known for experiencing pain on a five second delay.
So I think Daniel might not have noticed I deleted him? I'm dreading the day he figures out what happened but for now he seems to be a happy enough kid. This team of longtime companions have reunited and their task is to carry young Daniel up through to the championships to honor his sacrifice and stabilize the world. I hope they can raise him well.
I gave him a jacket modeled after his namesake's starter Bayleef, as sort of a protective charm to carry him through. Maybe I'll choose to trade that Bayleef back in to keep him company? I don't know, I have options.
And a side note: I don't remember what my original 6th Pokemon was, in the slot Daniel is occupying. I think it MIGHT have been a Magmar, but I'm not sure. I'm just going to play through the game and see if anything jogs my memory.

[Image Description: Silver from Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver with his Totodile. Silver is a boy with light skin, shoulder-length red hair, and deep violet eyes. He is wearing a dark violet jacket with red accents, a belt with a silver buckle, purple pants, and dark violet shoes with red accents. He has his arms crossed in front of him and looks annoyed. Totodile is a Pokemon resembling a small blue bipedal crocodile with red eyes lined with black markings, red ridges along its back and tail, and a yellow mark on its chest. It is holding onto Silver's leg and looking up at him with a smile. The background is the eastern exit of Cherrygrove City. Silver and Totodile are standing at the end of a tan path surrounded by grass. There are trees in the distance, as well as pink, purple, and orange flowers behind a white picket fence. End ID.]

SoulSilverShipping x Genshin Impact bc I missed drawing them and Genshin is my new fixation lol
Some brain dumping under the cut about like their weapons and constellations!!
[click for better quality]
I really debated over whether legendaries should dictate visions or starter/main pkmn should, and I’ve decided it’s up to the rule of cool lol. It’s a character by character basis xD
Originally Lyra had an Anemo vision and Silver had Pyro given by Lugia and Ho-oh, but I felt like with these two especially having their visions based off their starter Pokemon made the most sense? Since this game era focuses on having that strong relationship with your poke’s and Silver’s whole character arc is him coming to love his pkmn it seemed more right so I switched it last minute to be Pyro!Lyra and Hydro!Silver.
(Like I said above tho this au goes off the rule of cool so I’m thinking Dawn might have Cryo even tho no legendaries or starters would give her that but that’s beside the point rn ajdk)
ANYWAY some basic mechanics stuff for these two that is really basic bc I don’t think too much about game mechanics bc I mainly go off fav characters in Genshin rather then abilities aglhhs
Lyra
First of all: Lyra was made to be Genshin-ified. Like she’s already pretty close to Amber clothes wise so it was just really fun to play around and give her that Genshin feel!! She could absolutely be given more small details like Genshin loves to do but,,, small details are my weakness amdjsj
Weapon: Sword or Catalyst, tho I’m leaning sword bc she gives me Bennett energy play style wise!!
Constellation: Cyndaquill
Play style: I’m thinking, again, Lyra is versatile like Bennett where she can be built for either support or DPS, but her skills lean more DPS the more constellations you unlock to kind of emulate her becoming champion. Jokingly rn her Q is to hit a pokeball esq pyro sphere with her sword like a baseball bat to cause AoE pyro damage, but that may or may not stay LMAO
fun fact: her gloves are based off her Pokegear :>
Silver
Im not gonna lie. Silver was a pain.
and tbh I will probably change his design every time I draw it bc I am just. Not happy with it but also I have no idea what else to do ASJS his outfit is just so plain?? Like, wtf am I supposed to do with baggy pants and a jacket all the same color?? Lmao long story short I had the exact opposite experiencing designing silver then I did with Lyra lmao. Very in character xD
Weapon: Claymore, bc I feel like Silver wants to be a DPS Diluc so bad bc that’s like, the most powerful in his mind so ofc he’s gonna use a claymore to deal the most damage.
Constellation: Totodile
Play style: one things for sure: Silver is not Diluc, and at C0 he isn’t a good DPS at all and would actually be a good support or buff unit but he refuses to be bc that’s "weak" and he doesn’t travel with anyone so those abilities would be useless anyway lol. But as his constellation unlocks he DOES get better at DPS and his Q deals a lot of damage (bc it’s totodile line it’s gonna pack a punch) BUT it’s reliant on him buffing others with his E. I have no idea if that would actually work in game but story wise I like it a lot akdj
Fun fact: Earring :3

The pitch Ren can hear. She wonders, briefly, why Pecha is feeling so upset. Is it the rain? Something else? There’s sadly no time to ask, not with her about to catch her death in this cold.
“Come close!” Ren slips her rain jacket off, throwing it over Pecha to shield her from most of the rain. She throws her arm across her shoulders next, keeping her friend close. “Let’s run! Nile, this way!”
The Totodile is quick to follow their run into the rain, singing loudly as they go.
Open Starter for Mutuals
Tumblr media
It was raining. A harsh downpour that caused the street to turn into a makeshift river. The perfect kind of rain to watch when you're feeling miserable.
Pecha felt miserable. Of course on the day that was already going awful, she found herself in the middle of a storm on the walk home. Her dress was drenched, the skirt annoyingly clinging to her legs, and her hair stuck to her cheeks and neck. Her boots were soaked. Worst of all, her throat pinched uncomfortably which the tell-tale sign of a soon-to-be panic attack.
