Hear me out: a demigod who’s too used to their life as a god, far too accustomed to the insane strength they wield and the power coursing through their veins. A demigod who lived for eons to the point they forgot what it’s like to be mortal. They remember their past life, sure, but not the feeling of being weak.

And then one day, that power they’ve been holding for so long is finally, forcefully relinquished from them in some way, and they have to get it back. Suddenly, they don’t feel as strong as they used to. There are things they learned to do in godhood, things that they can’t do now that they’re mortal again. Suddenly, the demigod feels like their abilities are far more limited than they should be, that they won’t be able to fulfill their divine duties. Suddenly, they feel weak, in every sense of the word.

As if the demigod wasn’t humble already, that experience would humble them further.
