Post-It Notes From Toshinori

Thanks @kyucipher for the Art <3
Post-It Notes From Toshinori
It quickly became apparent to Sareen that Toshinori doesn’t always take care of himself the way he should. He was fantastic at looking out for everyone else. Not so much when it came to himself. This particular day she was feeling a bit cheeky, so she slipped a post-it note into Toshinori’s notebook. Drink some water, you workaholic.
It was discovered later that day, eliciting a chuckle from Toshinori. Thinking he should relay the impact of her note, he replied in kind, leaving the note for her on her desk.
The next day when Sareen arrived to school, she found the note and knew exactly who it was from. It read: I did. Are you Proud?
It was amazing how much joy this small note gave her and so, the ritual began. Post it notes with little messages to each other. Some would remind them to take care of themselves. Some would be smart retorts.
A note left for him on his desk read, “One more late night and I’m slapping “out of order” labels on all your paperwork.”
His response was found later that day stuck to the side of her purse. “Bold of you to assume you could outsmart me. :) “
“I can and I will.”
“Oooh I live in fear.”
She found herself waiting in anticipation for his responses, carrying around a pad of post it notes in her purse just so she would be ready at a moments notice. Then one day, she found a slightly different note waiting for her on her desk.
“Thanks. For always looking out for me.”
She smiled to herself, tucking that note away in her purse to keep.

Sunflower; Toshinori Yagi x Leiko (@kyucipher's oc)
Summary: Toshinori wants to create the perfect Valentine's Day experience for Leiko. Word Count: 1,089 A/N: For @kyucipher! I was your secret admirer for the Prominence Smash Valentine's Day event!
Toshinori had never had a Valentine before, but he knew Leiko deserved something special. They were perfect for him. In their time together, they’d brought him so much happiness. He wanted to do something romantic for them to express how much he loved them. It wasn’t going to be easy to do something that he felt was good enough for them. Then again, they always teased him for being too much of a perfectionist. Leiko would probably tell him anything he did would be wonderful. They would mean it, of course, but he wouldn’t believe it anyway. It was Toshinori’s best and worst quality: always striving to be better, but sometimes at the cost of himself.
He spent days thinking about what to do, and then he set to work on Valentine’s Day setting everything up. He had Izuku come over to help him set up a projector in the back yard to screen Leiko’s favorite movie. Then, he laid out a blanket with some soft pillows and cushions. Izuku helped him set up some fairy lights for some more ambience. He was so excited to see Leiko’s face when they came home and see what he had set up for them. It was so comfy they could fall asleep right here if they wanted to. He had a trail of rose petals leading from the front door to the back yard.
“I think Leiko will love this,” Izuku said encouragingly before leaving.
Toshinori knew what time Leiko would be home, and so he knew he had plenty of time to finish up his preparations. Everything had to be perfect for his Valentine.
⋆˙⟡ ♡⋆˙⟡ ♡⋆˙⟡ ♡
Leiko arrived home in a hurry, excited to see Toshinori. They’d always made fun of Valentine’s Day, that is until Toshinori came into their life and suddenly all the corny romance seemed fun. When they opened the door, they were greeted by low lights and rose petals. Leiko follows the path out the backdoor of the house into the back yard. There, amidst the golden glow of the fairy lights, stood Toshinori with a bundle of sunflowers in his hand. Leiko smiled, then revealed to the sunflower bouquet they’d gotten for him. They were almost identical.
“Great minds, huh?” Toshinori laughed softly.
“Something like that,” Leiko came to him and kissed his cheek softly. “You did all this?”
“Yeah! Well, Izuku came over to help.”
“I’m flattered,” Leiko grins.
They swap bouquets, each smiling and blushing like fools in love. Toshinori is especially flustered at having received flowers. It’s not often someone has ever given him a gift, at least not like this. Sure, fans gave All Might gifts. This was different. Leiko wasn’t just giving him flowers because he was the number one hero or even because he’s All Might. They were appreciating him, for better or worse. They saw past All Might and into the core of Toshinori Yagi, and still decided he was worthy of love and even flowers. He felt tears in his eyes. Leiko frowned at the sight, and then reached up to carefully wipe the tears away.
“And I’m always getting onto Midoriya for being a cry baby,” he chuckled nervously. “I’m just not used to getting flowers.”
“Sunflowers are my favorite,” Leiko smiled, “Because they remind me of you.”
Toshinori blushed again, “You’re too much.”
He leaned down to kiss Leiko, unable to contain the love he felt for them in this moment. He cradled their face gently in his hands. They returned his kiss with equal fervor. When they pulled away to breathe, both were smiling.
“Alright, so, show me the rest,” Leiko said.
“Right!”
Toshinori was flustered at first, but then he took their hand in his. He led them to the comfy pillow and blanket nest he’d made for them. Snacks and drinks were waiting on a tray. Then, he showed them the projector that was set up with their favorite movie ready to play. He watched carefully for their reaction, and was delighted to see how pleased they were with his efforts.
“This is great!” Leiko grinned. They sat down on the blankets, setting their bouquet down next to them. Then, they patted the spot beside them.
Toshinori happily joined Leiko on the blanket, and they arranged the pillows to get more cozy as he started the movie. As the movie started, Leiko snuggled up against Toshinori’s chest while he fed them snacks from the tray. It was peaceful, watching movies together under the nightsky.
Together, they snuggled up and watched the movie in a happy silence. It hadn’t taken long for their positions to change so they Toshinori was laying on their chest, clinging to them like he so often does.
Leiko was happily watching the movie when something wet hit their forehead. They frowned.
“Did you feel something?”
“Nope,” Toshinori answered and nuzzled his face against their tummy.
“It felt like—”
“Rain!” Toshinori groaned as the drops started coming down a little heavier. “Shit!”
They stumble to their feet as they start trying to gather everything up. Toshinori is regretting how many pillows he piled up. They each have to make a couple of trips with the pillows and blankets, then they have to run back outside for the projector equipment. The rain is coming down harder, making them slip and slide in the mud. He’d never felt more embarrassed. His romantic gestured turned into a muddy disaster before his very eyes.
By the time they get inside, they’re both shivering and soaked. Toshinori’s bangs fall in front of his face like limp tendrils. Leiko’s hair covers their eyes until they push it back. They laugh softly.
“Well, that was an adventure,” they said as they took off their wet jacket.
“I’m sorry, I should’ve checked the weather,” Toshinori pouted. “Such a rookie mistake.”
“Hey, hey, don’t beat yourself up,” Leiko nudged him gently. “It was a great date.”
“You don’t have to say that.”
“I know I don’t have to,” Leiko rolled their eyes. “But I meant it. Besides, now we have an excuse to top the night off with a hot bath!”
Toshinori’s cheeks flushed, “Together?”
Leiko grinned and stood on tiptoes to kiss Toshinori’s lips, “Yeah. Think you can handle that, All Might?”
“Absolutely, Rabbit Hole,” Toshinori playfully puffed up his chest, using a bit of energy to transform into his muscled form. He swooped Leiko up in his arms. “Do we want bubbles in our bath?”
“Do you even have to ask?”

|| save the last dance for me || holding out for the heroes au ||
Pairings: Toshinori Yagi x Reader
Description: The year is 2014 and Yua Hasegawa thought her life would go exactly as planned. That she would grow up to be a doctor or something within her families name. However, when her parents decide to enroll her in the hero field, she has no choice but to become a hero.
It's not at all what she wanted...but it is what it become of her. High school was supposed to be fun--not life threatening.
UA is filled with those who WANT to be heroes, people who really should be villains and...those like Yua who were forced to go on the hero path.
*Notes: This is an AU, it is not canon, please do not hurt me.*
Warnings: Language, Bullying, Mentions of Mental Illness and other things may be within this fiction. This is just a warning.
You have been warned.
There was not much for me to really go for in the beginning. I wanted to be a doctor. I wanted to grow up and save lives in a more structured, secure way. Not pull wedgies out of places tight leather and nylon shouldn’t be.
Nonetheless, sitting at the kitchen table, my father gave me that same look he would always give me when he was disappointed in me. My mother ignored it, her face buried in a glamour magazine, picking out her next medical makeover procedure.
I brushed stray hairs away from my face while trying to hide from whatever was coming my way.
“Yua…I believe you should go into the hero course.” My father spoke, his voice full of disdain.
“What? Why?” I pushed back.
"Well, it's just that you're always so timid and withdrawn, and you don't seem to have any passions or hobbies or anything of the type. So I thought that maybe being a hero would give you some direction, and help you find your passion" my father spoke, still showing some disgust in his voice.
"But I don't want to be a hero. I don't want to make a fool of myself or endanger myself or anyone else. And also, I don't even have a quirk to become a hero with!" I spoke with a pleading tone.
"Don't give me that crap. It's time you grew up and started taking things seriously. I already signed you up for the entrance exam this weekend, so you're going." My father said, his voice laced with annoyance. "But, dad, I don't want to…" I protested, my voice wavering. "You're going, and that's that. We're done discussing this." My father said, walking away from the table. "Fine…" I said, my voice trailing off. It looked like my father had made up his mind, and nothing could change his decision.
"Just don't expect me to do well, because I won't." I said, trying to be strong. I had never even thought about being a hero, and now I was being forced to just so he could get his ego boost. It wasn't fair. "I'm going to my room!" I blurted out, before stomping off to my room, slamming the door closed with a force that I had never exerted before. I suddenly heard the door open, and the sound of my mother's heels click, click, clicking on the floor. The bed sunk a bit as she sat down beside me. "Yua," she said, her voice soft, "Your father is just trying to do what he thinks is best. He wants you to succeed."
"He doesn't even care about me!" I cried angrily. "Of course he does," she responded, her tone soothing. "He just doesn't have any other way to show it." "That doesn't make it right." I grumbled. "I know sweetie," she cooed, patting my head, "But what can we do about it now."
I had calmed down a bit, and started to think rationally. "Mom, what if I'm not that strong or that fast?" I asked, sitting up, "What if my quirk isn't strong enough?" She looked into my eyes. "Yua, that won't happen," she said, "You aren't some weak girl. Do you remember how your father would always call you his little ninja assassin because you would always sneak up on people and scare them?" I laughed quietly at that memory.
"Yes, I do remember." I chuckled, "But I was always so shy, how am I going to be a hero?" "Yua, you have the power. You have been training for years, and you have improved so much. You won't be any worse than the others who are going," she said with confidence. "But what if I fail." I whispered softly.
"You won't" she said, her voice firm. "But…" I started to protest, but she shook her head. "No buts," she replied, "You will pass, just believe in yourself, and don't doubt yourself. I know you can do it."
I don't know if she's right, but I trust her. I will try my best. Maybe she's right, maybe I can surprise myself and pass.
---------------------
One moment, here I was in my room and the next I was standing at the large doors of UA High School. There was orientation to gain a better idea of how the entrance exam was going to go.
I was so nervous that I could feel my heart beating in my throat. I could barely concentrate because I was so worried about failing. I took a deep breath. It's not that big of a deal, just remember what mom said, just make sure to believe in myself. I looked at the other kids, they looked way stronger than I did, like they had been training for this their entire lives. Could I really beat them?
There must have been over a thousand students here in the auditorium, not seeing many seats there was hope when I spotted one next to a tall, lanky boy with blonde hair. I made my way up the steps in my uniform excusing myself through the aisle, sitting down. I held my card that told me which doors and group I would be in…I was lost in thought when the boy next to me cleared his throat.
"Toshinori Yagi…My name is Toshinori Yagi…" He said to me as he extended his hand out to me.
He had a small smile on his face, as he looked me straight in the eyes. "Nice to meet you," I said, trying to hide some of my anxiety. "Are you nervous about the exam too?" I asked him. "Mhm" he nodded, his eyes looking off somewhere above my head. I wondered what he could be thinking about. "So, what's your quirk?" I asked him after a momentary pause, breaking the silence.
I was curious, since mine was nothing special. I wouldn't be surprised if his quirk was something incredible. I looked at him, waiting for a response, but he just stared back at me with a blank expression. "You don't have to tell me," I said, noticing his hesitation, "I was just curious." "Sorry…it's just a bit of a sore subject…" he responded, glancing at the ground. I let out a small gasp, "It's ok, I'm sorry…" I tried to reassure him.
I didn't mean to make him uncomfortable, I was just trying to be friendly. I had to find a way to change the subject, but what? I looked at him, he seemed to be lost in thought, so I thought of something. "Uhm… what school did you go to?" I asked, trying to break the awkward silence. "Oh, well…" he started saying, his voice trailing off.
It seemed he was uncomfortable, and I wondered if he had heard me. He looked up, and I saw his eyes widen a bit. What is he thinking right now? I waited patiently, waiting for his answer, thinking it had something to do with his quirk that made him uncomfortable. I didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable, and I didn't want to push him. I tried to look friendly, and tried to look at him in a way that conveyed that I don't mind not knowing.
"I didn't go to a private school," he replied, his voice low. "I went to Aldera Junior High." Wow, he had a completely different experience than I did. I nodded, listening intently. "You went to a private school though, right?" he asked, his eyes meeting mine. Did he really think I was some snobby, rich girl? I could feel my irritation start to rise, but I held back.
I wasn't going to get angry at a guy I just met, especially since he was just asking a question. I just nodded, not wanting to show how I was really feeling.
"Yeah, I went to one of the top schools in the region," I replied, trying to keep a calm voice. I didn't want to get angry at him, but I also didn't want him to judge me.
It seemed he had noticed me staring at him. I was a bit embarrassed that I had been caught staring. I quickly looked away and pretended that I didn't see him looking.
"So, uhm…" I started to say before he interrupted me, "I think we should stick together during the exam," he whispered. My eyes widened as I looked up at him, "What?"
"You wanna be partners?" He asked again. I couldn't believe it, was he really asking me to be his partner for the exam? He must really need someone to help him during the exam. I thought, trying to hide my confusion, "Uh, I guess we could be. I mean, it would help you, right?"
This was so unexpected, but I guess I can't say no. His face lit up when I agreed to be his partner.
The teacher started giving us a more detailed explanation of the exam. My mind was still in a haze, as I was still trying to process what happened. I had gone from a lonely, insecure girl with confidence issues to a partner with a guy I just met. It was crazy. I felt a wave of relief wash over me as the teacher explained that the exam would be held in teams. But then it hit me, how am I going to handle this exam? I've never done anything like this.
What if I fail?
I started to feel a bit anxious, but then I looked over at my new partner, who was still smiling at me.
Somehow, just seeing him smile made me feel a lot more confident. I realized that I didn't have to worry about that, we were partners now, we would work together to pass this. I let out a sigh of relief and smiled back at him. I guess I can handle this after all.
We were soon given different colored cards and told to head to our respective test centers.
"I'll see you later" I said to my new partner as we headed to our separate rooms.
"Yeah, see you later," he replied, giving me a smile.
As I headed to the test center, I suddenly felt nervous again, unsure what to expect.
What a rollercoaster of a day this has been so far.
I looked up at the large doors before being ushered in, herded like cattle into a pen. The others around me were already ways ahead of me. They were already getting points, already so much better. I felt as if I should have given up at this moment. Yet, something told me to keep going.
"Hey! Keep up!" I heard someone call to me, seeing it was Toshinori from before I smiled. I couldn't help it. It was something about him that gave me some hope.

Can I get #13 with BIG MIGHT? 🫦
13. “You’re so in for it when we get home.”
“You’re so in for it when we get home.”
"Whatever have I done to upset you, my dear?" Orion hummed from where she'd been thrown over All Might's shoulder as the hero bounded from building to building. She couldn't see it, but she was certain that the Number One Hero was giving her a withering look right now. Orion merely smirked.
"You know exactly what you've done," she grumbled. "I'm talking about your costume."
"What, the bodysuit underneath? Darling, that's been part of my costume for decades," Orion countered, playing dumb.
"I know that! But it certainly wasn't - it was always white or black, not..." Toshinori faltered.
"Not your colors?" Orion purred.
Orion's ordinary hero costume consisted of a princely outfit that was largely made of ordinary fabrics- her back, with her crystal cluster growths on it, was her shield. It made no sense to cover up her shield with a worse shield. So, underneath that ordinary princely attire, Orion wore a backless bodysuit, made of far more durable fabric, and framing her clusters beautifully.
The "hype moment," as her fans called it, in most of her well documented fights was when Orion ripped off the scraps of her outer costume to reveal the bodysuit underneath. Which she'd done today, when she and All Might teamed up. Only this time, her normally sleek but plain bodysuit was a familiar blue, with white and red accents.
"Yes! When did you- why did you-?" Toshi stuttered, and Orion could just hear the blush on her face.
"Perhaps I simply wanted to match with you, darling," Orion replied airily. "Does it fluster you? To see me in a suit based on yours?"
Toshinori didn't answer, but she didn't need to. They both knew it already.
"I do hope you throwing me over your shoulder isn't your idea of 'punishing' me. I'm fairly certain every lesbian in Japan's fantasized about it at least once," Orion continued.
There was a significant pause before Toshinori asked, "Including you?"
"I'll leave that for you to ponder over, I think. Besides, why do I need to fantasize when you're right here, within reach?" Orion said, reaching down to grab and squeeze All Might's cute ass.
The Symbol of Peace proceeded to trip over her own feet, sending both her and Orion crashing onto a roof.
Orion wasn't quite as durable as her lover, so it took her a minute to reorient herself, while Toshi had immediately sat up and crawled over to make sure she was okay.
...Overeager as she was, this meant that All Might was effectively on top of her, concerned look on her face. Well- she might as well make the most of the situation.
Orion pulled Toshinori down into a searing kiss that the hero melted into; Orion greedily swallowed down the whimpers and sighs that Toshi let out as she tangled her hands in golden blonde hair.
"W-wait!" Toshinori said, seemingly regaining her senses as she broke the kiss. "We can't- not here, not somewhere so...public."
"Oh, I know. Little Miss Goody Two-Shoes would never," Orion cooed, smirk on her face. "I just want to rile you up a little bit more before we get home. You're so delightfully easy to tease, my dear."

commision for @inesmays
Toshinori Yagi x OC (Ines Mays)
Word Count: 2241 words
Genre: Fluff, implied smut at the end
He literally runs into her.
With his time as All Might so limited, Toshinori usually spends his time powered up rushing everywhere he needs to go. Every minute saved is a minute he can spend doing hero work, a minute that can make all the difference when it comes to saving someone’s life.
Suffice it to say, when he smacks right into the new school counsellor, he feels terrible. His first instinct is to look to the floor, because who can run into a seven foot two wall of muscle and stay standing?
Ines Mays, that’s who. She looks a little gobsmacked, but blinks up at him, stance steady.
“All Might!” she blurts out, in a perfect West Coast accent that makes nostalgia bonk Toshinori on the head.
“I’m so sorry-” they both begin to say at the same time, and he feels embarrassment creep up his neck at this terrible first meeting outside of the staff meeting that introduced her.
“Ah, Miss Mays,” he begins to say in English.
“I’m such a fan!” she says at the same time, and they both dissolve into awkward giggles and dear god, since when has All Might been awkward?
“It’s very nice to see you,” she says, delicately. She smiles up at him, and it’s so genuine that it warms him. It sends him into his usual over-the-top All Might act.
“Ms. Justice,” he booms out, giving her a blinding grin. “The pleasure is all mine! Stay strong, and go beyond! Plus Ultra!”
And he high-tails it out of there.
Ugh.
During his time at Yueii, he has learned to relax the All Might act around his colleagues. But old habits die hard, and meeting someone new makes him want to revert to his scripted overconfidence. Running to the staff room to poof down to his true form, he runs a hand through his hair, wondering at the shyness that comes with attempting authentic interactions with people,
He’s been All Might for far too long.
–
Toshinori is slow on the uptake.
A couple of days after he runs into her, he finds himself outside the counsellor’s office in All Might form, flexing his biceps to psych himself up.
“All Might-san,” says that perfectly polite, accented voice from behind him, and he almost jumps through the ceiling and out of the prefecture at being caught flexing to himself, of all things.
“Miss Mays!” he whips around, and don’t do the laugh, don’t do the laugh, don’t-
He does the laugh.
She doesn’t flinch, only widens her eyes and smiles.
“I can’t believe I’m hearing that laugh in person!” she exclaims, and looks so starry-eyed that he can’t help but congratulate his clearly stellar natural instincts. “It’s wonderful to see you again- I was just heading into my office, would you like to come in?”
“That would be wonderful,” he smiles, and mentally pulls up his reason for coming into her office like this.
A good ole chat about the States, naturally.
Toshinori is very, very sure that that’s his real reason for coming in, and he doesn’t realise how warm his face is while he talks to her about his time in California, or how delighted he is when she asks (shyly, trying to blink the stars out of her eyes) for an autograph.
“For my younger self,” she explains. “I think I was, what, thirteen or fourteen when you debuted? You were my first celebrity crush,” she laughs this part off as if the mere notion is ridiculous, and Toshinori is absolutely delighted.
When he has time to himself, he wonders how long that crush lasted, and how serious it was. He likes the idea of it, of Ines in her room clutching her pillows and staring up at an All Might poster. He likes the idea of her thinking about him, and doesn’t realise how much he’s started thinking about her.
Toshinori is slow on the uptake, but Mic and Midnight certainly aren’t.
Shortly after they move into the dorms, when the students are all (ostensibly) tucked into bed and fast asleep, Toshinori stays up in the teachers’ lounge, his bright red reading glasses perched on his nose while he squints at his grading. It’s the worst part of his job, really, but he absolutely cannot pass Young Mineta’s awful essay about the history of women’s costumes in heroics. He’s sighing over the section the boy wrote about Midnight when the woman herself appears at his side.
“Yagi-san~” she sings out, and Toshinori smells a rat immediately.
“Don’t look so alarmed,” she says, taking a seat beside him on the couch. “I just wanted to ask if you’re free for dinner tomorrow with Hizashi-kun, Shouta-kun, and I.”
“Oh!” Toshinori gives her a smile, a real one, warmth blooming in his chest. “I would love to come to dinner- is there an occasion?”
“Oh, no, just catching up between friends, really,” Midnight says airily. “You should invite your new friend. Our American colleague,” she winks, and is gone as swiftly as she had appeared.
Toshinori stares at the spot she just vacated, the warmth in his chest replaced by something very like dread.
It’s just a work event, he reasons to himself as he shuts his computer, wanting to get this over quick. It’s not like he’s asking her out to dinner with just him, this is…just a dinner with the people he now thinks of as his closest friends. Yeah, yes. A work thing, a friend thing, a date-
He’s at her door, in the slightly darkened corridor that leads to the non-homeroom teachers’ small campus apartments. He debates to himself about welling up into All Might for a brief second, for confidence, but decides he wants to do this unscripted. Like a real person, rather than his larger than life hero form.
So he knocks, and waits.
She opens the door in her pyjamas, bright turquoise eyes fixed on him in a way that makes him blank for a second.
“All Might-san?” she asks, with an adorable tilt of her head.
“Miss Mays,” he starts out, clearing his throat.
“Just Ines is fine,” she says, smiling. “Would you like to come in?”
“Oh, that’s fine! I was just- um- dinner?” he says, half in English, half in Japanese. Her brows arch, an amused smile playing on her lips. Before she can answer, he blurts out the details, wipes some blood off of his mouth, salutes her for some reason, and is out of there before you can say “Plus Ultra”.
At least he didn’t let it linger.
She’s far more coy when he’s in his true form, he notices. While almost everyone alters their behaviour between his two forms, he rather likes her boosted confidence when she interacts with him. It’s almost- dare he think it- flirty?
He shakes his head to physically get rid of the thought. What is with him? He doesn’t typically overthink his interactions like this. Well, perhaps he overthinks the ones with Aizawa-kun (he’s been hoping to graduate into calling him Shouta-kun, or perhaps even take the leap and call him Energy Saver Shou-chan like Mic sometimes does), but that’s always different. He finds himself thinking about the very words Ines uses, the lilt of her accent when she addresses him, every single look she gives him, like he’s trying to decipher a subtextual meaning and he doesn’t know what he hopes to find.
He’s terribly distracted training Young Midoriya the next day, really only snapping to attention when the boy mentions having an appointment with the school counsellor.
“You- are going to see Ines?” he says, eyes wide.
Midoriya nods, mentally noting his mentor's use of the counsellor’s first name and filing it away. Toshinori is oblivious to this, of course, not having yet caught up to the fact that Midoriya is as perceptive of him as a person as he is of All Might.
“Aizawa-sensei says they’re mandatory appointments,” he shrugs. “Kacchan went first, snarling and biting, you know, like he usually is, but he was terribly quiet when he came out. I wonder what she said to him.”
Something akin to guilt wells up in Toshinori’s heart as he puts a large hand on Midoriya’s relatively small shoulder.
“Let her take care of you,” he says, gently. “I trust she will do a good job.”
He knows what his commendation of a person means to Midoriya, and is glad when the boy gives him a relaxed smile.
—
Oh dear lord she’s stunning and when he sees her standing at the bar with Nemuri, laughing and positively glowing, Toshinori realises what subtext he’s been looking for.
“You like her,” Aizawa says matter-of-factly, and Toshinori is so resigned to the feeling that he doesn’t even spit up blood.
“Is it obvious?” he asks, all gloom and doom.
“Nemuri plans for Mic and I to leave early so you guys can have a date,” Aizawa says, looking for all the world like he doesn’t care, but Toshinori knows by now that his way of averting his eyes and frowning means he’s talking about something that’s important to him.
“We want you to be happy,” Aizawa concludes, scowling at Toshinori with a ferocity which from him is equivalent to a warm hug.
Toshinori smiles back faintly, heartened by his colleagues’- his friends’ - good intentions. But isn’t the road to ruin paved with good intentions?
He’s so awfully nervous when Ines and Nemuri join them at the table, and he notices every attempt by the other three to herd him and Ines into a conversation of their own. On her part, she looks flustered, shooting glares at Nemuri which the younger woman returns with mischievous grins.
“I’m taking a smoke break,” Aizawa announces, leaving the table. Mic and Midnight follow him, and the wink that Midnight sends Ines’s way has Toshinori convinced-
“They’re not coming back, are they,” says Ines, rolling her eyes. “Yagi-san, I apologise, this looks like a very obvious attempt to set us up,” she says, with a clarity that would make it seem she was unperturbed, although the faint blush on her cheeks gives her away.
“I’m so sorry-,” they both say at the same time, and both break off into awkward laughter.
“You shouldn’t apologise,” she says. “I’m sure you’re inundated with people who like you, and Nemuri-san was just very insistent that I- that we-” she breaks off, biting her lip.
“Why are you apologising?” Toshi asks, wide-eyed. “I should be the one- why, I sincerely hope I haven’t made you uncomfortable-”
“It’s me!” she says in reply, widening her own eyes. “I- I’m the one with the silly crush on you, I-”
“-I like you, but I would hate to make you uncomfortable-”
“-wait-”
“-you have a crush-”
“-you like me?”
They both blink awkwardly at each other, and then Toshi does the brave thing and reaches for her hand across the table.
“Are you certain?” he asks, and he puts the weight of everything on his mind into the question. It is unspoken that he is no longer the pillar he used to be. Unspoken that he still has enemies. Unspoken that any relationship to him comes with media attention, backlash, and an unfair amount of societal pressure.
So when she simply lifts his hand to her lips in reply, his shoulders slump in relief.
“I want to get out of here, Toshinori,” she whispers, and before he knows it, he’s tossed an obscene amount of cash on the table and is halfway to his car, her hand still in his.
Instinct makes him drive not to the dorms, but to his own Musutafu apartment, a penthouse in a heavily guarded private building, with a back entrance just in case.
“Tea?” he asks, as he lets them both in. She blinks at him like he’s an idiot, and pulls him to her by his jacket. “You,” she says, simply, kissing him as his arms wind around her waist.
She pulls back for a second, as if she’s nervous at her own forwardness, but he chases her lips, arms not leaving her waist as he nudges them towards the couch.
“Movie,” she suggests between kisses, and Toshinori agrees. Now if only he could stop kissing her for a second to put something on-
Her hands are on his chest, and he shivers against her touch. She pulls back a little as things get heated, and there’s an awkward beat before Toshinori sighs and pulls her to him, resting his head on top of hers. She melts into his arms, and he feels her laugh slightly against him.
“I’m on All Might’s couch,” she looks up at him, and that little starry gaze of her makes him heat up.
“You could be in All Might’s bed, if you wanted,” he says with a solemnity that belies his not-so-innocent meaning.
“My, you’re bold,” Ines replies, but she seems amused. Neither of them make a move, content to stay wrapped up in each other for a while.
“Movie?” he brings up in a while.
“As the youngins say, Netflix and chill,” she nods.
“I don’t think that phrase is as innocent as it would seem at first,” Toshinori frowns, but pecks her lips as he reaches for the TV remote.
And if they do end up Netflix and chilling in his bed rather than his couch in a while, that’s between them and television.

[Fluff] Toshinori Yagi X Falin Neoshima Beach Cuddles
The beach is a peaceful and relaxing place for a romantic getaway or something to cool off from the summer heat, so Toshinori decided to bring his girlfriend to get away from UA for some private time with her. “Well, it’s more empty than I expected.” He looked at Falin or Fae for short, giving her a small smile before looking for a nice spot for them to relax in and have the most shade for starters. Falin only nodded her head in agreement but had a smile on her face, being shy due to being in an open area that could be spotted easily by citizens.
“It’s nice to be away from the UA, I mean…” Falin tries to find the correct words to say, only hearing her boyfriend chuckle. “I know what you mean, and I’m glad that we could have a chance to spend time together.” Toshinori kisses her forehead softly, giving her some comfort since he knows how she feels about being in an area that could be filled with other couples or just citizens who are just enjoying the beach to relax or swim in the ocean. Taking her hand and leading her to a perfect place with a lot of shade, knowing that it would be a great place to relax.
Toshinori felt proud of himself for finding a spot for them to relax, letting go of his girlfriend’s hand so he could set up everything. People had given them weird stares while they were walking, but he shrugged off the feeling while giving Falin some comforting words. “Do you think this place is peaceful enough?” Falin asked softly since there were times that she became nervous around others while being with her boyfriend, however, she would shrug the feeling off when there were some lonesome moments with him. “Yes dear, let’s just relax for the day.” Toshinori chuckles softly.
Falin puffs up her cheeks a bit with a small blush on her face, shaking her head softly as she chuckles softly. “Fine, fine. We’ll relax on the beach today.” She couldn’t help but be lucky to have Toshinori as her boyfriend, although she does worry about his health and well-being with all the teaching and being a Hero. “We’ll leave before sunset and go home to have dinner together.” The older male couldn’t help but smile at his beloved, surely he doesn’t get much free time from work or being a hero, but he wasn’t complaining since he makes an effort to spend time with his girlfriend.
Both Toshinori and Falin sat on the blanket that Toshinori had brought for them to sit on, now wanting any sand on their pants or getting anything on their lunch. “Now, shall we eat our lunch and enjoy the day?” The blond hair male asked while grinning at his young girlfriend, who nodded her head and returned the smile. “Yes, can we cuddle after we’re done eating?” Falin asked with a curious tone, catching her boyfriend off guard. “Of course, we can, after all, this place could be for cuddling and vacation for couples.” Toshinori kissed her forehead with a smile on his face.
The couple removed the lunch that they had brought with them out of the basket, along with a few drinks for them to enjoy while eating their meal. It’s good to know that we have a good spot and a perfect view of the sun, plus we could cuddle during the sunset. Falin couldn’t help but think that she became lucky when she and Toshinori first started dating, grabbing a rice ball that she had made with Toshinori. The two of them started to chow down on their meal while watching the sun, sometimes she would think that villains don’t exist and there was peace but that wish wouldn't come true.
There was silence between the two of them as they ate the rice balls that they made together, along with some sugary donuts that were easy to make. Falin soon cuddles up against Toshinori once she has put away the plate that she used for her meal, having a small smile on her face and her eyes closed. “You were right, this is a perfect place for our getaway.” She couldn’t help but cuddle up against him once more, trying to become more comfortable which made him chuckle a bit. “I know, we should come here again sometime.” Toshinori holds her close to him and places his head on top of her.
Soon the sun started to set and the couple started to cuddle under the beautiful sky that was soon filled with different colors, such as orange, pink, purple, and even a bit of blue. “Can we stay here for a bit?” Falin asked while watching the sky closely as some clouds started to take some shape of animals or something else, of course, they weren’t in any rush to get back home, even though they’d have a late dinner. “Anything for you Fae.” Toshinori couldn’t say no to her, besides he wanted to enjoy this moment with her. Plus he wasn’t exactly ready to go home either, plus this was something that he wanted to enjoy with her, watching the beauty of the sunset.
Cuddling under the sunset was peaceful and very relaxing for the couple, even though it was getting late but that didn’t stop the couple from having a relaxing and calm day together. Soon both Falin and Toshinori had moved away from each other to pack their things up to leave the beach, picking up the leftovers of their lunch and putting lids off their drinks before putting them into the basket. Falin would soon help her boyfriend with the folding of the large blanket that they used to sit on top, placing it into the basket to cover everything else up with it, and looking around the empty beach.
“Shall we go home and make dinner?” Toshinori asked with a small grin on his face as he held the basket and his car keys, holding out his hand towards her. “Yes, let’s go home and have a peaceful dinner together.” Falin giggles happily as she takes her boyfriend’s hand. She couldn’t believe that they had one peaceful day together, she’s not complaining about it either, it’s a good thing for them to have a day off from the UA school and probably from the school. They started to head to the car parking lot while holding hands, both had smiles on their faces. ~~~~~~~~ This was requested by a friend of mine, Lynx Falin Neoshima Belongs to Lynxie

Day 7: Lounging, lazy time stuff
They like having little movie nights :>
I think Toshinori has a soft spot for pre-quirk romance movies (like Hallmark and stuff). Serena says she doesn't really get them, but she's secretly invested in the peach cobbler contest plotline
