TW: Graphic descriptions of blood (coughing blood), graphic imagery of crushing a heart (doesn't happen, just explained) CW: difficult father-daughter dynamics. Taglist: @thatcatladywrites @smikys-stuff @kimberlyfletcher @dawnwriterimagines Masterlist Word Count: 1951. Summary: One argument led to another– the foundation of your family was built upon suffering and sacrifice. Secrets were unveiled, revealing the true intentions of your father, the lingering wounds of the past stinging harder than any cut has ever. With tension reaching a breaking point, what happens when you confront your father, searching for the harsh truth, even if it leads to a devastating decision– you will never be the same again. He will never be the same again.
——————————————————————————————————
Toshinori’s chest rose and fell.
“You don’t mean that…”
A pang struck through your heart as your father’s laboured breaths increased, tailing off in steady wheezes that only grew louder.
“Dad…” you whispered, closing your eyes. “Dad, I didn’t m-”
Your voice cracked, succumbing to the hot tears which burned against your cheeks. Emotions flooded your head, as though they had been waiting to escape from the dam of truth that you had to silence to protect the peace in your family. The pressure had built up and that dam had finally broken in the most irreparable way possible.
Shame hammered your mind, delivering blunt throbs as you watched your dad clutching his frail chest in agony.
Guilt drilled poison into your veins as your father struggled to stand up– his sickly body unable to bear this pressure. His airways had been restricted, thus his once strong and proud chest had nothing to show but a vacant cavity, struggling to hold itself up.
This living room had always been small– enough space just for the two of you. Dad and his little hero. It had always been you two, but today, this room was longer and narrower, as though mocking your sanity which had become a battlefield.
Would you protect your father and carry on living in this dollhouse family, of which the foundations were built off of your suffering.
Or would you protect yourself and destroy your relationship with the only family that you ever had.
The struggle had refused to forsake– silence had become your greatest enemy. It had left you alone with your screaming thoughts of doubt that deafened your conviction, leaving you straggled, naked, and vulnerable in the vast depths of your fears because what if.
What if Midoriya truly was better than you?
What if you truly were not worth it?
What if you had lost your rights to call yourself his daughter.
Forever.
You had lost everything to the ravenous beast which ruined everything you touched, and it wanted more. It wanted more, so it began making more noise, howling over the whispers of the wind, it howled over the ticking of the clock. It howled until nothing could be heard.
Silence.
Silence.
Silence.
It had become silent.
As though you were the only person in the room.
A sudden thud drew your attention to the floor.
Toshinori collapsed on the ground, and his eyes had gone blank, jaw slack. His ribs stuck out from under his skin, showing through his thin white t-shirt as his brassy cough filled his mouth with blood.
He urgently covered his mouth with his hands, forcing it shut but to no avail. It had already slipped past his hold, travelling down his neck, staining his shirt. A constant offender.
Your father began developing bloody coughs over three years ago. Yet every time you saw his chest heave and bleed, surges of nausea would creep up your veins, forcing you to leave.
“Dad!”
This was too much blood. It wasn’t meant to be like this… The doctor said a few drops or so, maybe a teaspoon, but that was ‘highly unlikely’. You watched as his white shirt became saturated, dizziness threatening to blur your vision.
But you could not see him like this. You didn’t think twice before rushing to help him– but you were stopped.
Toshinori raised his shaking hand immediately. You were halted, frozen in disbelief.
He put his hand back on the floor, taking a few breaths before pushing himself, warranting another step forward from you, another cry, but he just stopped you again. You could only watch as your father relied on his bony wrists to push himself up.
You could hear his shallow gasps for air, and his repressed coughs– and all you could do was watch your father’s face contort in fatigue and ache. Toshinori had finally gotten up, but that look had not left his face as he pushed past you. You watched the limp in his leg as he hobbled towards the couch, slowly lowering himself onto the cushioned couch. His head slumped onto the head rest, limbs unfurling in exhaustion.
You were suspended in your head, unable to move past the questions which rung bright sirens.
You shouldn’t have raised your voice at your own father– the doctor had told you. He’s injured, he’s getting older. He can’t process such shocks like this anymore.
What was wrong with you?
But it couldn’t have been just your fault… right? But then he pushed you– maybe he didn’t just notice– but what if he did it on pur-
“Y/N”, your father had called for your name, but his eyes did not meet yours.
Instead, they looked past you.
Toshinori Yagi adopted Toshinori Y/N when she was five years old.
A decade after the first quirk was discovered, many adoption agencies in Musutafu began sorting children based off of a ‘ranking system’.
Official documents stated that this case was first brought up in the Supreme Court due to an incident that had occurred in an orphanage near Musutafu, 26 years ago. It was a heartbreaking case of manslaughter that had taken place when six year old Chihiro Onodera– Quirk: Lava, accidentally murdered eight year old Honoka Sugo– Quirk: Bubbles, during lunch time as they were play-fighting.
It did not take much convincing as this case had reached international news, thus the court immediately passed a bill on the separation of quirks preliminary based off of their strength and danger levels, which were to be evaluated on a scale of 1 to 5.
Nevertheless, this bill had struck a controversial match, becoming the largest contemporary topic that was disputed over in the past years.
Demonstrations, protests and violent public outrage reached its peak when leaked intel revealed that a lot of children began to go missing from Adoption Agencies under the radar– they no longer had papers, as if their identities had been erased off of the face of this Earth.
Nanami Tomoda, Sae Ojima, Makoto Kanezaki– these were some of the household names that had garnered petrifying national and international headlines:
Heartbreaking Tragedy Strikes Japan: Devastating Attack Leaves Communities Reeling
Japan in Shock: Deadly Assault Rocks Nation's Sense of Security
Aftermath of Brutal Assault Leaves Nation Grieving Chaos and Carnage
Not much was known about these young adults.
Apart from two things.
First.
They were not independent contractors. All of them could be traced back to some of the very few established, powerful, underground organisations.
And second.
They were all orphans, rated 5, who had been declared missing for ten or more years.
Toshinori Yagi adopted Toshinori Y/N when she was rated 5.
Toshinori Y/N lost her quirk at age ten.
You are rated 0.
Zero.
Toshinori took a deep breath before he spoke.
“I have raised you since you were five years old.” He still did not meet your eyes. “I raised you in hopes that you would become a strong, and powerful young lady.”
He drew a breath in– it was laced in disappointment.
“But why does it feel, as though it has had no influence on you?”
Toshinori shifted both of his arms onto the couch rests, sitting tall.
“One does not become a hero by winning every fight. Not everything is about a hero’s physical strength. A hero is made when they understand that retaliation only makes them the real villain.”
Your father’s voice had deepened, and so did the dreadful pit in your stomach that sunk your resolve.
“A true hero understands that strength lies in the ability to rise above the pain. Because those who focus on what has been lost”, he continued, lips twitching, as a faint, uncontrollable tremor laced his words in indisputable venomous contempt, “are either insane, or desperate for attention they know they will never get.”
Small muscles in your face began to twitch despite the heaviness that had been pulsed through your body, holding it in place, as you just stood there. Your eyes, once red and exposed, had no inhabitant, no focus.
A ghost town.
“A true hero is grateful. And recognises every bit of effort someone else put in order to get them to where they are now.”
His gaunt eyes found yours, casting an unfamiliar chill in your body. They were sunken in, casting his gaze in dark shadows– an abyss impenetrable by light.
“You got your quirk stolen, Y/N. But you cannot get that back anymore. But it’s been years, I expect at least some gratitude considering I did you a favour by adopting you.”
He had left a clot that blocked your heart.
“Because no one else would have wanted you.”
It is always the one closest to you that hurts you the most.
The man you called your father had waited until the last second to take the satisfaction of crushing your heart, flesh against flesh.
Humans evolved to gain resistance and immunity against everything that threatens their survival.
Therefore, living with this man only meant that you had to gain immunity against pain and humiliation, because that was the only thing that could guarantee your survival.
So when you shook off the heaviness in your lid and focused onto your father’s face, you could only lift the corners of your lip.
“If you didn’t want me. Someone else would have adopted me instead. Like you did. No papers, no nothing– I’d slip under the radar, at least I’d still have my quirk, and end up on those headlines.”
“How dare you?” he uttered, face contorted in malice.
“I was five. That’s why you adopted me. Don’t deny it”
Toshinori stiffened, his Adam’s apple bobbed up and down. His shoulders, broad and hubris, had become small and meek. You watched him contemplate: his eyes, vindictive and daring, were cast down, hiding amongst the Tatami flooring.
“My child…” he began, his voice softer. “After your quirk had been stolen, I could not risk making you the target again. That’s the reason I don’t come to your events. It’s because you’ll become the target everyone goes for because they know you’re my daughter”.
“They’ll know?” your lips had pressed into a thin line. “Like how Midoriya knew I was your daughter? Like how the media knows?”
In the stifling air, your dry laughter bounced off of the discomfort.
“Don’t act like you aren’t ashamed of me.”
Your face had settled into a stone.
“It’s not about me being a target. It’s about protecting your image.”
“My daughter-”
“You have lost the right to call me your daughter. If I was such a disappointment after my quirk was ripped away from me, why did you keep me? You could have sent me back. Why did you keep me, dad, why did you keep me!”
Those closest to you, leave irreparable wounds.
But there was a reason they were close to you. A reason that subsided in love, care, and hope.
Your crushed heart was surviving on its last breath, waiting to hear something that could revive it.
Toshinori lifted his head again, his eyes flickering behind you.
It locked onto an object that somehow gained more attention than you ever had in your entire life. You risked a look over your shoulder, only to see the picture of your father and Midoriya, smiling–almost mockingly– back at you.
You knew what the answer was going to be.
“I’m beginning to question the same thing.”
A flat-line.
“Well if that’s how you really feel, I have no obligation to stay here anymore.”
You drew your breath in, words suspended at the tip of your tongue.
“I wish you and your student the best of luck, All Might.”

Dad (All Might Headcanon)
Requested: No Idea: What Toshinori would be like as your dad!
He's the softest sweetest dad!
He just wants to keep you happy and safe
He also wants to make you super proud!
He's absolutely wound around your little finger....what ever his baby wants, his baby gets! "Daddy, I wanna go to the zoo!" Toshinori having just sat down after an exhausting day of fighting crime "Of course dear, get dressed and lets go!" "I want that big bear plushy!" "okay!" he smiles reaching for his wallet.
He'll let you style his hair all you want. The mountain of a man will sit in front of the couch while you climb his back like a jungle gym, putting in cute hair clips and braiding it! "Daddy what do you think?" you cheerfully ask giving him a little hand held mirror. "I look fantastic, you should be my stylist, pumpkin!" He grins proudly, flipping his loose hair.
He'll absolutely play pretend and take part in tea parties, tiara and all... tho he had to have the chairs be made sturdier so he didn't flatten them with the power of them cheeks.
Lets you use his capes as blankets.
He always makes you walk towards the inside of the sidewalk. Tho when you're really young, he wont even let you walk at all and carries you around.
He would hold your hand at every doctors appointment! Knowing that you hate the hospital issued bandages because their industrial strength-, skin removing-, soul ripping-glue, he brings his own to make for a less fussy appointment.
He also does a full monster check in the house before putting you to bed. "Yep, no monsters there!" he says getting up from the floor after looking under you bed. "What about in there?" you ask pointing at the slightly open closet, hiding under your blanket. "Nothing in here either!" he smiles, after shuffling some clothes and looking around. He closes the door.
He'll read you bedtime stories and tucks you in. And yes, he gives all the characters voices.
Absolutely will let you sleep in his bed if you have a nightmare ("don't fear, why? Because I am here!" he says groggily with a smile), or even if you're just super fussy about going to bed.
He'll spoil you without making you a brat. He explains to you that not everyone can afford everything you two have. It absolutely warms his heart when you want to donate a bunch of toys to the less fortunate!
He doesn't expect you to ever become a hero, he just wants you to do whatever you love doing. Plus he doesn't want you to put yourself in unnecessary danger.
Kinda gives him a heart attack when you come home from school telling him that you want to be a hero like him. He won't try to change your mind (too hard) tho. He might try to sway you a bit, but gives up when he realizes that you're just as stubborn as him.
If you get hurt, that man is there with a first aid kit before you even realize you got hurt in the first place. "dad it's just a scratch." your roll your eyes as the large man cleans and puts an obnoxious bandage on your wound.
When you get older (teenager and so on) ya'll will absolutely have dinner/movie nights. Toshi loves spending any time with you that he can, especially when he can no longer be in his larger form
He thinks he isn't the cool dad anymore, but you constantly have to remind him that he's the best dad you could've ever ask for, plus now he doesn't take up 90% of the couch, so honestly you prefer it.
You're the light of his life and you'll never know how much your good ol' dad truly loves you.
Masterlist
Ask
With love,
-K

I hate how they portray allmight as a father
in EVERY all might x daughter fanfic i've ever read, all might almost always neglects his daughter and it's almost always angst no fluff and i don't like that, I mean if you like it, sure go head and read it but I think all might would never do that. if anything, all might would desperately try to include her in everything. izuku's training?you're helping him bandage the mf up. hero galas? a date? nah man, hes taking you only to show you off. even when you're a child, he will attend all your school events, serve tea at all your princess tea parties, even when he's tired he will at least make sure to read you a bedtime story. all might once mentioned seeing nana shimura as a mother and I think he would try to be an equally if not better parent then her. wanting to take care of you and prove himself not only a worthy successor and hero but also as a worthy father.

Finding A Family
So what if we took the 'can we keep it' trope and threw All Might and his daughter into the mix?
Word count - 1727
Toshinori unlocked the door and pushed down the handle, slipping into the apartment just as a strong gust of wind brought with it icy snowflakes.
“I’m home!” he called into the apartment.
The lights were off, strange. You should have been home by now.
Granted, the sun set at 16:30 during the winter months, so it was still technically really early, but you didn’t have any after school activities today. And you would have called if you were meeting friends.
Maybe you were home, staying concealed in the cold darkness. He wouldn’t put it past you, you did have impeccable eyesight in the dark, an assumed advantage because of your quirk.
“Y/n?” he called out, removing his coat and shaking off some snow.
Still no reply.
Toeing off his shoes, Toshinori flicked on the lights and made his way into the apartment. Everything was as it was left this morning.
Venturing to the bedrooms, he did not find you there either.
He frowned, pulling out his phone and texting you. He wasn’t worried, of course not. You were a teenager, you could take care of yourself. But, just to be sure, he wanted to know where you were.
He’s a dad, he worries. Sue him.
On his way to the text app, his finger hovered over the tracker app.
No, he needed to be respectful. It was your privacy.
He’d give you 20 minutes then he’d check.
Once he was sure the text had gone through, he moved back through the apartment to the kitchen.
Might as well start on dinner, something to keep him somewhat distracted as his mind spiraled into worst case scenarios as to why you weren’t home.
He had affectively managed to get himself so stressed out that he was ready to track you down when he heard the doorknob turn. He’d relocated to the living room now, looking out the window to see if he could spot you on the street, but the snow and poorly lit streetlamps did little to provide him an answer.
Finally.
What should he do? He didn’t want to charge right at you and make it feel like an interrogation, but he also didn’t want you to think you could get away with this kind of behavior.
Maybe he should wait for dinner to have the talk, when you’re both seated and relaxed.
He heard you struggle with your shoes, before something thudded, presumably your school bag. He turned, folding his arms and preparing to face you.
You froze when you spotted him, and actually looked horrified to see him.
“You’re not at work.” you stated, taking a suspicious side step, as if blocking someone from view.
“Where were you?”
Well there went to the ‘not interrogation’ tactic.
“Why aren’t you at work?”
And it was true, he was home especially early today. That didn’t excuse why you weren’t where you should have been.
You shivered, your entire body convulsing violently. He noticed your blue lips then, and how you were hugging yourself. Your shirt was wet, which it shouldn’t have been if the coat you were supposed to be wearing was catching the snow rather than your bare skin.
“Where’s your coat?” he asked.
“Uhh…” you trailed off, turning back to the apartment entrance. “In use?”
Well that was entirely convincing.
Something wasn’t right, he could feel it.
He was about to open his mouth when movement behind you caught his eye. It was a dog, German Shepard it seemed.
Well, that was what it was supposed to be, except it was so covered in snow and ice it looked more like a Samoyed.
“Where did you get that?”
You tensed, and looked down to realize the dog was no longer behind you, but rather at your side.
“It’s a funny story.” you started, smiling like it pained you.
Toshinori hummed in agreement as he crossed his arms, encouraging you to continue.
“Soo, I met this woman, on the street. And she, uhh, asked if I wanted a dog. ‘Cause she was getting rid of her. And I said ‘Yeah’. So that’s, that’s the story.”
And throughout the painful experience of watching you attempt to lie on the spot, he noticed you looked everywhere in the room but him.
“Great, now say that exact same sentence looking at me.”
Your mouth opened and closed like a fish, cheeks getting redder than they already were from the cold.
“How’d you know?” you mumbled, looking at your socks.
“I’m your father.”
Good point, honestly. You remained stubbornly silent, resisting him. He continued to look at you pointedly, knowing you’d break.
“Fine.” you huffed, moving your head so you could look your father in his eyes.
“Everyday on my walk to school I pass a house, and they have her.” you gestured to the dog, who was watching Toshinori with the best damn ‘puppy dog eyes’ he’d ever seen in his life.
“They don’t give her water, and she always looks starving, malnourished. And she’s never allowed inside the house, no matter what weather. I usually give her my lunch and get her water, but with the blizzard coming tomorrow, I couldn’t stand by and let her freeze to death.”
Toshinori sighed, he knew where this was going. You’d been asking since you could talk to get a dog, and always wanted it to be a German Shepard.
How was it supposed to live in this tiny apartment anyway?
“So, I used my quirk and jumped the fence.” You added, piercing your lips as you watched your father for a reaction.
It took a him a moment to comprehend your words, repeating them to himself a few times to make sure he’d heard it properly.
“You did what?”
“They were gonna let her die.” you defended yourself, crouching down to wrap an arm around the shivering creature.
“I’m 99% sure what you did is illegal.” Your dad shot back, sitting heavily onto the arm chair behind him and dropping his head, hands coming up to massage his temples
“Only 99%? I thought you were a hero?”
Now wasn’t the best time for sarcasm.
“Y/n, you can’t just steal a dog.”
“They were neglecting her. It’s not stealing, it’s saving.”
“What are we gonna do with her? We can’t keep her in here.”
“We won’t. Just until the blizzard is over, then we find her a good home.” you pleaded to his right.
He sighed. Why did you have to have such a big heart?
Don’t get him wrong, he loved you for it, and he felt pride every time you went out of your way to help another, but stealing a dog? This was something new.
He felt a nudge by his foot, before something cold and wiggly was pressed against his slipper. He opened one eye and glanced down at the movement, expecting a full-grown dog staring up at him. Instead, he was met with a whining black mass so tiny it could fit in his palm.
“What the hell is that?”
“Oh, uhh, did I mention she has puppies?”
Toshinori clenched his jaw, shutting his eyes.
Of course, of course his daughter finds a dog with puppies and decides, “Hey, you’re coming home with me!” expecting there won’t be any issues from him.
And goddammit you were right.
He knew his answer had been ‘yes’ the moment he laid eyes on the mother, and the reveal of puppies did not change that.
He raised his head in time to see you walking towards him, four more black wiggles wrapped up in your coat. Well that at least answered one of his many questions.
You wordlessly handed the bundle over to him and he took it without hesitation, reaching down to grab the puppy squirming on the floor and adding it to the pile.
The puppies seemed barely 2 weeks old, eyes and ears still shut and limbs uncoordinated. He looked over at the mother, who watched him closely as he held her shivering babies close to his chest, and then looked over to his own baby who watched him just as closely, shivering.
“Go shower and get dressed warm.” he started, ignoring the smile that blossomed on your face. “Then you are going to find a vet that does house calls.”
“Yes! Thank you Dad.”
“You will be responsible for taking her out to do business, no matter the weather, and whatever monitoring needs to be done with the puppies!”
But you were already halfway to the bathroom, throwing an “Ok!” over your shoulder, despite not hearing a word he said.
He looked down at the mother dog, and she looked up at him.
“Kids.” he said, huffing in amusement when it seemed the dog rolled her eyes as well.
Toshinori moved then, making space on the floor closest to the warmest central heating panel and left the puppies to defrost, fetching an old towel to begin drying them and the mom, who’s ice covered fur was now melting.
Once they were all relatively dry, mommy dog lay down and the puppies immediately began the mad scramble to try reach her to feed.
It was at this time you had finished warming yourself and were heading to the front door to go find a vet and get supplies.
“Put a jacket on! It’s cold out there!” he yelled, standing up and rushing after you.
You smiled at him when he got to you, shrugging on one of his coats. “I’ll be back soon.” you reported, before taking a deep breath and braving it into the cold outside.
-----
It had been an hour by now, soup was made and waiting for you, and mommy dog was cleaning her puppies lazily while Toshinori watched on.
If someone had told him this was where his evening was heading, he would have believed them, and then joked about how he was surprised it wasn’t a horse.
“Guess what?” you shouted as you stormed into the apartment, shoes haphazardly taken off, judging by the loud thumps.
The female dog looked up and began wagging her tail.
He turned to look at you and his entire body sagged.
A woman in a white doctor’s coat stood behind you, removing her shoes. And at your side...
“I found the dad!”
Toshinori sighed, resting his head back against the chair.
Of course you had.

Izuku Midoriya x AFO's Daughter PT3
— ¡No te acerques!

A Chance
Fandom: My Hero Academia
Relationship: Toshinori Yagi/All Might X Female Reader
AN: With my love of BNHA coming back, so too does my undying love for Toshi rise from the depths to inconvenience everyone who tries to have a conversation with me lasting longer than 5 minutes. This drabble was inspired by the following mood board as part of a challenge prompt in the discord server I’m in!
Tags: Fluff, Knight!Toshinori, References to past sexy times but nothing explicit
Summary: You are given the chance to pursue your own happiness with the one you love.
Read it on AO3!
“It really is unconventional my dear.” Your mother clucked her tongue at you before blowing on her steaming tea and taking a careful sip. You took a deep breath to keep your composure. It took nearly all your courage just to speak the words you had been sitting on for months at this point, and you had been prepared for a far harsher response. You gently swirled your spoon in your own tea cup, watching as the sugar cube melted away. You hated this blend, but it was Mother’s favorite and you needed any help to get her in a good mood.
Your father says nothing, simply watching you with a stoic expression. His tea cup sits full and untouched.
“I am…aware, of how odd it is-” Mother scoffs at your words.
“If you are so aware, why even entertain the idea? Honestly child.” She rolls her eyes at you. You bite your tongue, and take another deep breath.
“I simply think after all he’s done for us, for me, that he would be a good choice,” Another scoff. “And that he would…” make me happy, you want to say but don’t. Mother didn’t care about things like happiness in marriage. Marriage was a tool in a royal’s arsenal, like anything else.
“Oh yes, everything he’s done for us, and every neighboring kingdom from here to the coast! The man has no loyalty! He would sooner give up the crown to an invader than fight them! He has too many ties to too many people.”
“That isn’t true!” Mother narrows her eyes at your raised voice. You stiffen and look to your lap in a show of submission. “I-I am sorry. I just…”
“It is a foolish idea.” Mother takes another sip of her tea, opening her mouth to further admonish you for your proposal, but your father speaks.
“I disagree.” He rumbles. Mother closes her mouth with a sharp ‘click’. Your father may be content to let her rule the castle, the staff, and you as she sees fit, but every once in a small while he steps in. Those few times are almost enough to convince you he may care for you in some way.
“Father?” You prompt.
“He was born here. He trained here under my own father’s best knights. He has helped our neighbors as his warrior spirit demanded, but never to our detriment. Now that he can no longer fight the same way, why not reward him for his servitude?” Father blinks passively at Mother, the wisdom of many years of leadership in his eyes. Mother looks at him in shock, her own protests sounding weak now that she doesn’t have his support.
“Bu-I-! He is-! Why, he is too old now my lord husband! He-”
“He is as old as I am, and that brings wisdom and experience.”
“Wh-what of heirs!? He could never-with our daughter-!”
“Men older than us both have produced children before. It will be fine.”
Mother looks like she wants to protest further still, but you don’t pay her stuttered words any more mind. You stare at your father, a man you have spent most of your life fearing in some capacity. Fear of failure and disappointment, fear of losing him and leaving your home in disarray with no king to lead them.
Fear of being married off to some horrible man that would decide your fate, who would crush and break you under the weight of unwanted motherhood and wifely duties you would have no choice but to complete. Of one day suffering the quiet shame of having a husband who brings strangers to bed, of being an object meant to look pretty and nothing more.
And within this moment you dare hope that your life will not be as sad and grey.
Father looks at you and nods his head. You stand, your fingers twitching with the effort to hold back your excitement. Never before have you so badly wanted to hug Father, but you refrain. It would be improper, Mother has always said. You bow low instead to show your gratitude.
“Th-thank you Father. Mother. I must-...I need to step out for a moment, please excuse me.” And with that you rush out the door to the private study and nearly collapse against the stone wall opposite you. The cool, rough texture against your palms and catching the fabric of your gown helps ground you.
This is real.
You can-you can marry the man you love. Bring him into a life of luxury and happiness you’ve wanted to give him for so long-
The click of the door behind you opening and closing echoes in your pounding head. With hazy eyes you look to see Father standing behind you, proud and tall as ever. He is smiling softly at you, a gentleness you didn’t think he possessed. It's an odd but not unpleasant expression to see on his face.
“I…” He starts, lifting a hand into the air and holding it there, fingers pinched. With a sigh he drops his hand back to his side, looking to the floor.
“With age comes wisdom.” He begins. “I regret many things when it comes to how you were raised.” You blink in shock at his words. You can see in his face…a quiet longing you hadn’t noticed before. It makes something in your heart squeeze.
“I wish…I wish I had been…” He sighs, his shoulders slumping as he looks to you. “I had you trained and molded to take charge of the kingdom after my passing, consort or no. I made sure you knew every battle tactic, every political game, every form of self defense I could cram into you to make sure you could be safe. I just wish I could have taken the time to…let you be you. To be my daughter, not just my heir. I wish I could have gotten to know you.”
The back of your eyes burn. You swallow and blink. You cannot show such clear emotion, not to anyone.
Well…to one person and one person only.
That person is not Father.
“I married your mother because of the things she could teach you, the benefits she brought to our home.” Father steps closer to you. His arms lift, as if to reach for you. He freezes, hands shaking before he forces them down to his sides again. “I wish to give you a chance to be happy. If only in some small way. A way I never got to experience. Go to him, and you will be happy with him, I’m sure.”
Father has taken time out of his day to meet with you, to hear your proposal. He agreed to your proposal and gave you his blessing for the man you chose. He is standing before you and restraining himself from giving you a hug.
You take the final step to close the distance between you both, and your stiff arms wrap around his even stiffer form. You feel his hands slowly and carefully come to your back and rest there.
It is awkward and stiff and slightly uncomfortable.
It is the first hug you’ve ever received from Father.
You will cherish its memory for the rest of your life. He has made you happier on this day than you have ever felt.
Well, perhaps not happier than the day you met your fearsome and brave knight. It is close, however.
“Thank you Father. If it is acceptable, I wish to go see him.” Father’s arms drop from you as you step back, and he nods his head. You turn and rush down the hall.
~~~~~~~
You ignore the whispers that trail after you as you hunt through the castle hallways.
“Ah, her royal highness the cold fish. Wonder what has her in such a hurry.”
“Her highness is moving rather fast, do you think something’s happened? She’s normally so stoic and cold.”
“Just like her father, that one. Unfeeling and scary.”
Their words sting, but you hold your head high. You had thought you had been getting better at interacting with the staff, but apparently not if they still gossip in such ways about you. Your knight had been trying to help you be more approachable and open to others, considering he shined with charm and charisma like a beacon, but apparently you needed more work.
It didn't matter right now, in any case. You have more important news to share with him.
A tall figure, a flash of blonde, catches your eye down the corridor. You race after it and round the corner to see your knight and his young charge walking away.
“Toshinori!” You call, and the two figures freeze, turning to look back at you. You rush closer, breathless and excited. Neither of them are in their full set of armor, only wearing the thickly padded tunic that has your kingdom's blazon proudly on display. You take a moment to admire the way your knight’s cloak drapes over his broad shoulders.
He may not be as strong as he was when younger, but that thin, tall frame holds strength and resilience you can't help but love.
“G-good morning to you both. I apologize for the interruption-” You start, nodding at Izuku who stares up at you with shining eyes. Toshinori straightens up, his smile professional and calm as he addresses you.
“No trouble at all, your highness.” He bows low to you, and for a moment his hand twitches as if to reach for you, but he forces it still. Izuku jolts as if shocked, quickly blowing low as well with a muttered ‘good morning’ of his own. He's still learning proper protocol, Toshinori had told you. The boy shows great promise as a knight and you know Toshinori is more proud of this boy than he is about any other accomplishment he has in his long career.
“If I may, Ser Knight, I would like to speak to you about something…” Your eyes dart to the boy at his side. “Urgent.” Toshinori catches on, his eyebrows raising in surprise and slight concern before he turns to his student.
“Young Midoriya, make your way to the stables and complete your usual duties. I will find you later.” Toshinori smiles at the boy with a tenderness that makes your heart squeeze in your chest. The urge to kiss the laugh lines on his cheeks is nearly overwhelming, and you barely stop yourself from doing so. You need to talk to him first.
Izuku hurries down the hallway with an eager stride, no doubt wanting to impress his teacher when they meet back up. With your own barely restrained enthusiasm you grab Toshinori's hand in your own and drag him to the closest private spot you know of. He stumbles for a moment as you pull him, letting out a choked noise of surprise. You can feel calluses from years of hard labor under the pads of your fingers, rough skin and scars that make your heart flutter with excitement. You've had those hands on you so many times, and now you know for certain you can feel them again for the rest of your life.
If he wants such a thing, that is.
“Y-your highness-! What is-” You ignore his questions, making a beeline for the nearest hidden alcove you can think of. It's a hidden spot right outside the entrance to the gardens, one you and Toshinori are very familiar with. Memories of his fingers, long and thick as they brought you to completion over and over while pressed against his chest flash through your mind as you pull him closer. It seems the same thoughts are on his mind as well, judging by the growing pink blush spreading over the bridge of his nose.
The sunlight bleeds through the leaves of the many trees planted, flowering blooms bright and colorful as fat bees buzz to and fro across them to collect nectar. A slight breeze picks up and you watch, mesmerized, as the golden hair of your knight seems to shine as it’s ruffled.
To think, you’ll be able to see him like this everyday for the rest of your life…if he accepts that is.
His voice startles you despite it being a whisper.
“My love, what is wrong? Did something happen…?” Despite the concern you see in his eyes, his mouth pulls up in a shy smile. “Or were you looking to…” One of his hands cups your cheek, his thumb brushing against your cheekbone in such a tender way it makes your very soul ache. Your eyes flutter shut as you turn into his palm, pressing a kiss against the rough skin. His blush deepens.
“I am flattered darling but is this really what you would consider ‘urgent’? You had me worried for a moment!” He chuckles, a deep soothing sound that sends shivers down your spine. You squeeze your thighs closed at the sudden rush of heat you feel at the sound. You manage to find your voice and speak.
“N-not entirely, beloved…” Your voice comes out as soft as his, a whisper to be carried away on the wind. Toshinori pulls you closer, his free arm wrapping around your waist to settle on the small of your back, his long fingers spreading to grip the meat of your ass. You squeak at the feeling, your hips pushing closer to his where you can feel his cock hardening under his tunic. He hums in interest at your words as he buries his nose into your hair.
“I was speaking with-...with Mother and Father today-” You feel him stiffen against you, and not because of arousal. He pulls back to look you in the eye, but his arms stay wrapped snugly around you. Toshinori’s brow is furrowed with concern as he looks at you.
“Are you alright? I know talks with Her Majesty can be…difficult for you. Is that why you came to me?” His eyes widened in panic. “A-and here I am trying to-! I am sorry love, you must be upset and I’m just-” You can feel his arms loosening from where they hold you tight, pulling away to give you space you most definitely did not want at the moment. You grip his wrists, tugging his hands back into their rightful place on you.
“No! No, I’m not upset please! Please-” You nuzzle into the hollow of his throat, “please hold me. I want to be held.” Your lips brush against his skin as you whisper and you hear him choke. Those strong arms wrap around you once more.
“Ah, a-as you wish…” Toshinori’s voice comes out breathless, and you feel him press a kiss to the crown of your head.
“It was a good talk. I was…” You pause, trying to think of the best way to phrase your question. “I was granted permission to…to court whomever I wish…”
You feel him suck in a sharp breath, his shoulders tensing under where your hands grip him to hold him close. You can hear the sound of his heartbeat where your head rests against his chest, and you know under your cheek is the very spot where his scar resides. You want to spend eternity like this, just being held by your knight like you’re something precious for once.
“...Truly? That's-that's fantastic my love…” You hear Toshinori gulp above you, his arms tightening their hold even further.
“I think so too. I wanted to ask…” You pause and breathe deeply, grounding yourself. He wouldn't say no, there was no reason to say no. “I wanted to ask if you would consider…allowing me to court you, Ser Knight? And to one day be my King Consort.” You press a kiss to his cloth covered chest, right above his heart.
“My love…” You feel his hand, rough with callouses, cup your jaw and angle your head up to look at him. Piercing blue eyes that glow with resilience and determination stare into your own. “There is nothing I would love more, than to be by your side.”
And he seals this promise with a kiss.
My Baby(All Might/Toshinori Yagi x Fem!Reader)
warnings: mentions of pregnancy, baby, crying, Toshinori being emotional, fluff word count: 0.9k pairings: Toshinori Yagi x Fem!Reader summary: the cry of your little baby wakes you, but it's Toshinori that goes to check on her. a sweet little moment between father and daughter! a/n: my first Toshinori fic that I ever wrote a month ago!!!!! dividers by @adornedwithlight
It’s the sound of your baby girl wailing that rouses you from your shallow slumber. You sit up, still a bit groggy. You’re just about to get out of the bed when a hand stops you from your movements. Toshinori rolls over, looking at you. He sees the bags under your eyes from so many sleepless nights. You look even more tired tonight than you have in the last few days.
“Please rest, my love. I can handle this.”
Your heart swells with love. You trust your husband to do anything for you. If he could, he’d give you the moon and the stars. With your eyes half-closed, you manage to see him leaving the room. He closes the door behind him after checking in with you for a split second.
Toshinori panicked when you first mentioned you were pregnant. Not that he had been careful; it had been so tough to do so. You drew him in with your kind heart, your sweet smile and your softness. He adored you from the moment he laid eyes on you.
But fatherhood…no, he couldn’t do it. That’s what he thought at first. The thought of everyone knowing that you were having his baby, it was way too worrisome.
And yet, he failed to leave you. He was with you every step of the way. Every doctor’s appointment. Every ultrasound. Even the silly parenting classes you had signed you both up for. Toshinori wasn’t going to abandon you. Even as your belly swelled, he still placed a ring on your finger and you were his forever.
He steps into the room, approaching the crib. The sounds of his daughter’s cries always hit him so deep in the heart. He knows it’s normal for a baby to cry, but that’s his baby. His sense of protection and the need to make sure everyone is safe makes it extra hard for him to hear her cries.
Gently, he picks her up and brings her to his chest. He looks down at the tiny babe. She’s very small in his arms.
“Shhh…don’t worry, everything’s alright. Daddy’s here.”
She immediately begins to calm down even at just the sound of his voice. Her bottom lip trembles a little until she’s completely still. Then her eyes look into his. The way she has the same eyes as him, it’s a gift from the heavens he thinks. She looks a lot like you, but he still sees so much of himself in her. She will be a strong little lady, this he knows for sure. There’s no doubt that his little daughter will grow up to have a very just and pure heart and the strength to push through even the worst days.
“My sweet girl,” he brings her up to his face, kissing her cheek. “Daddy’s here.”
He checks to see if she needs to be changed. When he gets that taken care of, he brings her into the kitchen so he can make her a bottle. It’s not easy to be a father, but when he sees everything you’ve sacrificed to become a mother, he knows he can do it. He’s seen everything you’ve done so far and he pushes himself to always be your biggest supporter and the best father he can be.
With the little baby in the bassinet, Toshinori works on making her a proper bottle. He’s been tiptoeing around as well, making sure not to make too much noise. The last thing he wants is for both of his best girls not to be able to sleep. Once the bottle is ready, he takes it and the baby back into her bedroom. He’s ready to give her some food so that she can sleep well.
In the comfortable rocking chair in the corner, he sits with his sweet daughter in his arms. He feels his chest growing so heavy. Tears prick his eyes as he watches her feed. She’s growing so fast, and he swears the time is moving much too fast for his own liking.
Soon, he’s burping her and then she’s falling asleep in his arms. The way her eyes keep closing and then reopening to check if he’s still there, it’s tugging on his heartstrings. He places her back in her crib and he takes a moment to admire her.
“She’s beautiful, isn’t she?” you ask as you approach him.
Toshinori wipes away his tears, “She’s so perfect. I can’t believe…I can’t believe we made her,”
You wrap an arm around him, pulling him so close to you. He nuzzles his face in the crook of your neck, shuddering as he allows his emotions to get the best of him. Then you lead him back to your bedroom once you’re sure that your baby is fine.
Once under the sheets once more, Toshinori clings to you. He holds you so close, and you find it comical because of his large form. Even if he is in his true form, he’s still so much larger than you. He sniffles as he tries to calm himself.
“Who would have thought I’d be taking care of two babies?” you joke softly as you kiss his temple.
“I can’t help it,” he wipes away his tears again. “I’m just so happy.”
You cup his cheek and kiss him softly. He’s always been very forthcoming with his emotions, but this was so sweet. Your heart was so full of love right now. You hold him close, allowing him to rest his head on your chest. As you play with his hair, Toshinori has no problem drifting off to sleep.
His mind filled with happy thoughts of his little family…
hi! do you think you could do a iida x f!reader where they’re the daughter of sir nighteye, and when he eventually dies they go after chisaki for revenge but iida talks them out of it, and uses his experience with stain to convince them.
sorry if this is too specific, i just really like ur writing, especially the iida ones!
[ Hello dear anon. Apologies that this took longer than anticipated. I ended up having to split this into two parts. So no worries, the second part will be published as soon as I am able. But I hope you enjoy this. I like the aspect of Sir Nighteye having a daughter and her having to deal with his passing. ]
He took EVERYTHING from you and left only an empty void where your heart once resided. It felt like a violent storm drowned you in a suffocating ocean of sadness after your father, Sir Nighteye, died. But this wasn’t as bad as the suffocating worry that your friends surrounded you with.
Since Toshinori had a personal history with your father, he tried to comfort you after this unfortunate event, but you chose to isolate yourself instead. Despite your father’s passing, you knew he would be disappointed that you distanced yourself from everyone, including the man he idolized.
If you got around to cleaning the countless All Might items, he had accumulated over the years, it would be a nightmare. It was bad enough that you had to attend and deliver a eulogy at his funeral. During your speech, you choked on your words and sobbed in front of everyone until Tenya, your closest friend, politely ended it.
After that, he guided you to a private location where you cried into his chest for what seemed like hours. It’s hard to recall if you thanked him for that, but the whole event was a blur. With time, the tragic feeling of sadness gradually changed into anger as you got used to living without your father.
Wait…no that’s not quite right. Anger wasn’t the right word to describe it. The bloodthirsty need for vengeance was more accurate. Yup. You may ask, against whom? Overhaul, otherwise known as Kai Chisaki, caused your father’s demise.
And in your vengeful mindset, you laid out a plan that would, hopefully, confront him and avenge your father’s death. Once you did, you believed it would honor his memory because it would rewrite how he died in vain.
It was evident that your dark cloud of thought followed you to school the following morning, since your classmates’ raised eyebrows, and looked shocked, or just plain concerned when they saw you or passed you in the hallway.
“Ribbit, I know Y/n is still upset over what happened. But she hasn’t talked to anyone about it since,” Tsuyu said, and Eijirou nodded. “Yeah,” he replied, crossing his arms. “I’m worried about her. She’s giving off an aura scarier than Bakugou right now,” the angry blond growled.
“What the hell did you just say!?” He demanded, rising from his seat before grabbing Eijirou by the front of his uniform. Tsuyu ignored them, while Tenya tried to get their attention. “I insist you refrain from engaging in physical aggravation during class hours!” He snapped, chopping his hand through the air.
“Class hasn’t even started yet, damn four-eyes!” Katsuki snapped in response, making Tenya sigh. He believed that Katsuki was certainly rude, and it was unlikely that he’d ever gain the patience to practice proper social manners.
He pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to calm his frustration when Tsuyu spoke again. “Maybe you should talk to her Iida,” she suggested. “You’re her closest friend, right?” Her question was followed by a look of curiosity, and he returned that curious expression while clasping his chin, contemplating.
“I suppose that is correct,” he replied before looking your way. You were slumped over at your desk with your arms resting against its surface. “I am afraid that while I have been attempting to provide comfort for Y/n over the weeks since the death of her father, I have been rather unsuccessful.” He hated admitting that.
“I assumed that she required space and time so as to not further aggravate her emotional state,” he explained before taking a deep breath. “But perhaps a direct approach is needed,” he looked at Tsuyu and walked past Katsuki and Eijirou who paused and observed where he was heading.
“He’s going to talk to Y/n?” Eijirou asked, looking at Tsuyu and Katsuki huffed before dropping his hands to his sides. “Just what the hell does four-eyes think he’ll accomplish by doing that?” he questioned, crossing his arms as he continued to watch.
As Tenya approached, he noticed you mumbling to yourself. Your words, however, were indistinguishable. He stood there for a moment, curious if you noticed him. However, you seemed rather oblivious, so he cleared his throat, hoping to catch your attention.
This didn’t work. “Very well,” he stated, “pardon my reach.” He laid his hand on your shoulder and proceeded to shake you. “Hm?!” Your eyes widened, and your muttering stopped. You clenched your jaw, and turned your head, prepared to snap at whoever was disturbing your not murderous and vengeful thoughts about Chisaki.
However, you latched onto your lip when you saw who it was. “Oh,” a small wave of panic washed over you. Had he heard what you were muttering? If that was the case, you needed to play it cool or dumb. However, it wasn’t easy to fool Tenya, especially since his incident with Mei at the Sports Festival.
You glanced away while rubbing your neck. Here goes nothing. “Oh hey, Iida,” you replied, ignoring how your stomach churned and twisted into knots. As a hero student, you hated feeling nervous, although, given the negative emotions you had been experiencing lately, this feeling was more than welcome.
You frowned and focused on Tenya again. It was scary, in a way, to think that he probably knew more about how you felt than anyone else. Yes, you pushed everyone who attempted to comfort you away and although your actions were justified due to the recent tragedy that occurred, Tenya was persistent.
It was a wonder what he’d think if you told him that the tiny voice of reason in your head seemed to vanish whenever your thoughts switched to Chisaki, and hatred engulfed your heart. He narrowed his eyes, gazing at you with concern.
“Are you…well?” He asked. “Well?” You repeated, your eyes glossing over and your gaze turning toward the front of the classroom. “Yes…I am well,” you replied, but your voice lacked emotion, and that alarmed him even more.
He had been rather concerned about your well-being and state of mind after your father’s death. When Tensei was greatly injured, he experienced such emotional turmoil that he almost lost his sense of heroism and logic.
He would hate to see you go down the same path, even though you claimed to be fine. Yet, when you turned to look at him, he noticed something in your eyes, and it made his stomach turn. He swallowed heavily but decided to address it later.
“I see,” he took a step back and pressed a hand against his chest. “Are you…certain you are feeling well?” He questioned, his eyes narrowing with suspicion. He did not want to believe that you would lie to him. However, he also knew there was a chance that you didn’t even know how you were feeling now.
Emotions were quite hard to explain at times and traumatic events tended to cause one to feel “numb” and as such, a lack of emotion followed, and made it difficult for one to truly grasp just how they felt. He supposed you were also going through the various stages of grief, which too was understandable.
Your whole life changed overnight, and yet the world continued to turn. Forcing you to abide by its rules when all you desired was a break, a mere moment to recollect yourself. Yet, this did not happen. He knew how frustrating that was.
Perhaps that is why his words were of no use to you now and he was better suited to continue to play the role of support. That was quite efficient in most cases because it allowed the individual the space they so required while at the same time, knowing that there was someone there to reach out to when needed.
“Yes,” you replied. Once again, your voice was barely audible. It was almost as though someone was pulling a string and speaking for you. A single recorded phrase that meant nothing and although he did not like it, he had to accept it. At least for the moment.
He nodded. “Very well, I am certain you already know that I will always be present if you require any assistance or perhaps…someone to lend an ear and discuss the ailments you are experiencing,” he stated, chopping his hand rhythmically through the air.
“Yes,” you replied, staring blankly at the front of the classroom again. He curled his lips and shook his head in uncertainty. Nevertheless, he turned around and walked back to Tsuyu and Eijirou, who were now joined by Shoto and Izuku.
“H-hey Iida,” Izuku greeted cheerfully. “Hello,” he replied, grasping his chin, and tapping it with his finger. Tenya ignored how they exchanged glances and the silence that filled the air was broken when Eijirou snapped, “Well!?” Izuku was startled by his outburst while Shoto raised his eyebrow.
Tenya glanced at him. “What happened with Y/n!? Is she okay?!” He urged, and Shoto turned to Izuku. “Y/n?” he questioned, and Izuku shrugged, uncertain of the conversation taking place. Tsuyu walked over and laid her hand on Eijirou’s back, making him recoil before looking at her from over his shoulder.
“Oh heh, sorry,” he replied. He got emotional and sometimes let it go to his head. “We’re all concerned about Y/n,” she explained, glancing at Izuku and Shoto. “It’s going to be a while before she’s okay again. I know she must miss Sir Nighteye.” All of them did.
“Ribbit, but I’ve noticed something off-putting about Y/n lately too,” something that wasn’t sadness nor anger, but an entirely different emotion she couldn’t quite put her finger on. “Hm,” she tapped her lips before looking at Tenya.
“Actually…” she said. Maybe she could describe the emotion she saw in you after all. “The way she’s acting reminds me of Iida,” she commented. “Pardon?” Tenya replied, perhaps the most confused among his friends. “Don’t you remember, Iida?” she asked. “After your brother was injured,” she clarified.
Izuku frowned. “Y-yeah, I remember that T-Todoroki-kun and I w-went after you,” or rather it was a matter of lucky circumstance that they happened to be in the same area as Tenya at the time. “We…defeated The H-Hero Killer together…” he continued, “and a-after…Iida admitted that…” His hands curled into fists.
He had a hard time remembering the emotional impact of that day. Shoto, noticing his friend’s distressed state, placed a hand on his shoulder. He wasn’t much for physical affection, but since making friends at Yuuei, he learned how to provide comfort.
Izuku turned to him, but Shoto’s eyes shifted to Tenya. “Iida went after Stain like a fool,” he said, never one to sugarcoat anything. Although he seemed unaware of the awkward tension he had created. “You let your anger cloud your judgment…I let it cloud my judgment too,” he admitted.
Thinking back to how he used to be, so angry and closed off to the world. He was truly thankful to his friends for helping him escape his shell. Eijirou’s jaw dropped, and his eyes widened as if he had seen the most horrific sight. “Wait…” He paused, making sure he understood everything.
“Are you suggesting that Y/n might…” he shuttered to think about it, but nobody expected someone as rational as Tenya to do what he did either. All eyes turned to him, and quite frankly, he was at a loss for words. “Well, I…” he straightened his posture and pushed his glasses up, looking in your direction perplexed.
“I am not certain…” although given your insistence that you were fine, you may still be in denial about what happened or hiding your true emotions just as he did. “Talking to her hadn’t helped provide you with a clue?” Shoto asked, now making everyone look at him.
Eijirou chuckled and laid his hand on Shoto’s shoulder. This made him tremble in response and look at the redhead as if he insulted his ancestry. “I think you’re being too blunt,” he stated, making Shoto knit his eyebrows. “Blunt?” He repeated but Tsuyu spoke up. “Todoroki-kun makes a good point,” she said.
“Then again, nobody knew what Iida wanted to do until it was too late,” she tapped her chin a few times, letting her eyes linger on you. “Maybe we need to observe her,” she suggested, making Eijirou raise his eyebrow. “Observe her? What do you mean, like keep an eye on her?” she nodded.
“What do you think Iida?” She asked, noticing he was frowning. “I am not certain that is the best strategy as it may invade the barriers of privacy,” he stated, chopping his hand lightly through the air. “However, perhaps that is the only option we have left…” he concluded.
“S-so how can w-we do it?” Izuku peeped up. Eijirou grinned. “Yeah! We have to be stealthy, right?” He asked, turning to Shoto who wore a blank expression as he thought. “I don’t think we need to spy,” he said a minute later. “Just keep an eye on her like Tsuyu suggested,” he noted.
“It doesn’t mean we need to watch her all the time. We just need to make sure she doesn’t hurt herself or wander somewhere alone,” he clarified. “Oh, okay,” Eijirou said. “So, give her space but talk to her when we think she’s doing something suspicious?” In a way, it still seemed dishonest.
“Perhaps that is best,” Tenya said, but in the back of his mind he couldn’t help but wonder if, like him, there was a chance you’d wander off when you suspected no one was watching you. Regardless, it was his job along with your mutual friends to prevent you from walking down a dark path from which there was no return.
“All right, everyone in your seats,” Shota stated as he walked through the door. “Yes sir!” Tenya immediately said, scrambling to get to his seat just as his friends did. While he normally paid attention in class, he found his gaze drifting to you.
You looked intensely focused on your thoughts instead of the lesson Mr. Aizawa was currently teaching. He might be pleased to know he was right. Within your mind, you devised several plans to confront Chisaki. These were the ideas you scribbled down in your notebook.
You assumed that nobody would look at it especially given your unique situation. Yuuei insisted you have sessions with the lifestyle guidance counselor, Ryo Inui also known as the Hunting Dog Hero: Hound Dog. Usually, these sessions are one hour long on selected days of the week. Today was one of those days.
As to not disturb your afternoon hero training too much, the sessions took place during lunch. Ryo usually kept quiet, to your surprise, during the first 25 minutes of the session to give you time to eat. The remaining time was used to talk about how you were feeling, and how you were dealing with the loss of your father.
But you told him what you told everyone else: that you were fine. Of course, he didn’t buy that. “One day you’ll have to face how you feel!” He growled at you. Oh, if only he knew what you were about to do. “If you can’t handle that, come to us!” You hated it when he gave this speech, even if he had a valid point to make.
“You rely on us heroes to protect you even from yourselves!” You knew he meant well but letting someone else handle your demons just seemed wrong. Although that could be your stubborn and determined attitude speaking. Your father taught you how to be cold and calculated in a sense, and to do nothing short of your best.
Yet maybe that played into your naive plan regarding what you wished to do to Chisaki. Nevertheless, the session ended without you learning or improving. Your rushed footsteps echoed down the hallway as you exited your classroom and headed to Gym Gamma.
You had some regret not taking your hero costume with you to your session with Ryo, but it didn’t matter now. You carried it with one hand while your other was wrapped around the strap of your backpack which hung off your shoulder. As you turned the hallway corner, you stumbled back and fell to the floor with a thud.
The suitcase containing your hero costume flew and bounced on the floor a few times. It then hit the opposite wall near an empty classroom. Your backpack contents spilled out, littering the floor. You sat up, hissing softly.
“Ouch…” you muttered before someone stepped in front of you. “Apologies,” when you looked up, Tenya stared back at you. He was dressed in his hero suit, apart from the helmet that normally concealed his face.
“Hm?” When he realized he had run into you, he leaned onto one knee and glanced at you from head to toe. “Are you injured? Forgive me, I was not anticipating someone coming around the corner at the accelerated speed you were going,” he explained.
“Yeah well…” You glanced away, irritated. “I’m not injured…” you muttered. “Then may I assist you in gathering your things?” He asked, referring to the contents of your backpack. You sighed and slowly sat on your knees.
“Yeah, I guess,” you replied, picking up the first few items within reach. Tenya walked around and picked up one of the textbooks. He handed it to you before grabbing the notebook you were writing in earlier that morning.
After placing the textbook in your backpack, you grabbed said notebook. However, it slipped between your fingers when Tenya handed it to you and landed on the floor again. Your vengeful ideas were scribbled across its pages and were now laid open for the world to see.
You cursed yourself for hesitating because that allowed Tenya to pick up the notebook and curiously look at what you had written down. Your heart pounded and you could only helplessly watch his eyebrows knit together.
“Pardon but-” You jumped to your feet and snatched it from him. He looked shocked by your behavior. “W-what are you even doing here!?” You demanded, clenching the notebook to your chest, and glaring at him. He blinked a few times, and you noticed a suspicious look in his eye.
“I…was merely assisting an injured classmate to Recovery Girl,” he replied. You huffed “Good for you,” in response before frantically picking up the rest of your things. You shoved them into your backpack and grabbed the metal suitcase containing your hero suit.
“Y/n?” Tenya asked, watching the spectacle with serious concern. However, he remained silent as you raced down the hallway. This was despite his urge to exclaim that running in hallways was prohibited. Little did he know your cheeks burned red.
‘Stupid, stupid, stupid!’ Out of all the things he could have seen. Well, maybe you could just…make some excuse if he asked about them. Something along the lines of getting your emotions out on paper. Yeah, that sounded fine. Writing was a form of coping, right?
Although you weren’t certain how much of that Tenya would buy, the way he looked at you the rest of the day only indicated that his suspicions were high. You tried to ignore it to the best of your ability and avoided him when you could.
You knew that might come back to bite you, but you didn’t care because there were more important things to do. Like conducting research regarding Chisaki’s whereabouts. Luckily, it was easy to fool Principal Nezu and the rest of your teachers.
Simply, you told them that you needed time for yourself and felt overwhelmed by your emotions. You couldn’t be disturbed while doing research. Although you felt some remorse for using your father’s death as an excuse to do your vengeful research, it would be worth it.
They granted you a week off without consequence. The only condition was that you had to stay within Yuuei student housing grounds and continue your regularly scheduled sessions with Hound Dog. A small price to pay, not that you were going anywhere, not yet at least.
Although the student dorm was a bit eerie during the day because of the dead silence with the occasional creaks and cracks of the building settling, you tried not to let this disturb you as you started your week-long research. Of course, your friends were concerned when they noticed you were absent from class.
In addition, you rarely left your room during the evening. However, none were more concerned than Tenya. Frankly, he couldn’t help but think back to the strange writing you had in your notebook. It wasn’t that hard to figure out that those writings and your current behavior were connected.
“A-are you sure about this I-Iida?” Izuku asked. “Yeah, I mean she could just be trying to express herself. Nothing’s more manly than taking control of your emotions!” Eijirou declared with a smile while Tsuyu thought quietly.
“I’m most certain the writing within her notebook was not merely a method to cope with her emotions,” he replied sternly. “Are you sure?” Eijirou asked before Tsuyu spoke up. “Ribbit, well if Iida is right then Y/n needs our help,” she concluded.
“Well, if there’s something wrong and she’s going to go through with what she wrote, I agree,” Eijirou said. Izuku clenched his jaw, his features twisted with uncertainty. “B-but we…we can’t just f-force help onto h-her…” he stated before glancing away, trying to devise a reasonable solution in his head.
“W-what if they try to…l-leave? They haven’t even b-been in class lately a-and…” he frowned. He hated thinking you would do something sneaky like him, Shoto, Tenya, Eijirou, and Momo had when The League kidnapped Katsuki.
Leaving in the middle of the night without telling anyone and running around the city in disguises wasn’t the nicest or smartest thing they could have done. Not to mention how they neglected Tsuyu’s feelings on the matter. However, at least they patched things up and Eijirou and her were closer than ever.
All eyes seemed to linger on the ground. More than likely, they were all thinking the same thing Izuku was. “Maybe…we can ask Yaoyorozu for help?” Tsuyu suggested, naturally catching everyone’s attention. “May I ask you to elaborate on your suggestion?” Tenya replied, and Eijirou nodded.
“Yeah, why ask Yaoyorozu for help?” he asked. “I’m sure she can figure out a way to keep track of Y/n without us interfering,” she explained. “Huh…” Eijirou thought about her words, glancing at Izuku who seemed concerned about the idea of asking Momo for help while Tenya sighed.
“Perhaps it would be beneficial to use alternative methods to ensure we don’t worsen Y/n’s already fragile condition,” he said before looking at Tsuyu. “Do you believe Momo could provide such a solution?” Tsuyu smiled, the tip of her tongue sticking out from between her lips.
She nodded in response to Tenya’s question and with some hesitance, the four of them sought her out. “I’m honored that you’d ask for my help,” Yaoyorozu said, placing a hand on her chest. “But I don’t know what I can do,” she said, tapping her lips a few times.
“Y/n is entitled to a little privacy and time alone to sort out her feelings. I can’t imagine what she’s going through,” she said with a frown. “That’s exactly why we need your help!” Eijirou exclaimed, curling his hands into fists.
Yaoyorozu looked at him, her eyebrow raised. “Come on, there must be something you can do,” he said while Tsuyu laid a comforting hand on his back. “Iida is mostly concerned about what he found in Y/n’s notebook,” she explained. “Her notebook?” She asked, looking at Tenya perplexed.
“I’m not certain if the writings found in her notebook were a coping mechanism that assisted her in organizing her complex array of emotions or perhaps…plans she wishes to enact,” he explained. Silence lingered in the air shortly after. Eijirou looked at Izuku before walking toward Yaoyorozu.
“Whatever it is, Iida is right to be concerned. We all are!” He stated, determination shining in his eyes before grabbing Yaoyorozu’s hands. She looked shocked by this action, almost as if it were foreign. He leaned forward, locking eyes with her.
“He’s doing the right thing by bringing this to our attention. Even if Y/n doesn’t want our help, we need to prevent her from making a big mistake,” he said, tightening his grip on her hands. “So please,” he brought her hands against his chest where his heart pounded erratically.
“Will you help us?” He asked. “Mm…” she glanced away, thinking for a moment. “Alright,” she said, standing up. “I think I have a solution,” extending her arm, it glowed a faint blue hue before several oval-shaped devices fell onto the floor, each one clinking as they piled on top of one another.
“Huh?” Eijirou looked at the devices, clearly confused about what they were while Tenya picked one up, examining it closely. “These are motion devices,” Yaoyorozu explained before a larger, more rectangular device manifested from her arm. She quickly grasped it before it hit the floor.
“Here,” she said, holding it out to Tenya. He looked perplexed but took it, nonetheless. She smiled proudly and placed a hand on her hip. “That will alert you when the motion sensors are set off, but it may be impossible to tell what sets them off,” she explained.
“Still, I know it will help with your request,” Tenya enclosed his hand around the device. “Thank you very much for your assistance. I am most certain this will help indeed,” he replied, smiling at Yaoyorozu. She returned it and looked at Eijirou, Tsuyu, and Izuku.
“I believe we should find appropriate locations for these motion devices,” Tenya said, kneeling to gather them in his hand. “R-right!” Izuku replied, helping him pick them up while Eijirou laid his hand on Yaoyorozu’s shoulder.
“Yeah, thanks! We owe you one!” He grinned like a madman showing off his pointy-shark-like teeth and while that may unsettle some, she nodded. “Glad I could help,” she said, “especially if Y/n needs it.” A frown came to her face. “I hope they’re alright.” It was evident she was just as worried as everyone else.
Following this, Tenya carefully considered the proper locations for the motion devices. He believed the most beneficial locations were the front steps of the Class A dormitory, the entrance to the nearby forest, and along the road to Yuuei High. Yes, these particular spots would also be triggered throughout the day.
However, there was more likelihood that, if by chance you would leave, you’d do it at night. The days following were some of Tenya’s most emotionally heightened. He was constantly on edge, waiting for something to happen.
When night came, he always woke up to the sound of the motion devices going off. However, every time he hurried outside, he found that something else triggered it. Like an animal curiously passing by in the dead of night.
While his friends lost hope or doubted that the writings Tenya described in your notebook were malicious, something told him that was not the case. Perhaps one could call it intuition, but he could not accept that those writings were merely emotional expressions.
He believed they were motives. Plans you wished to take into action, and he would not rest until he caught you in the act or prevented you from doing it. So, he continued to wait, and the following night, he was jolted out of his sleep when the device went off as it had done many times before.
He hitched his breath, immediately grabbing his glasses. Despite being in his sleepwear, he slipped on a light jacket, put on his jogging shoes, and left his sleeping cap on his bed. The last thing he grabbed was the device that had jolted him awake and went to your room.
He noticed that your door was left ajar. “Mm…” Despite respecting the inner sanctum of another’s living space, he placed his hand on the doorframe and peered into your room. Even with the lights shut off, he noticed that your bed was undone, and you were nowhere to be found.
He also noticed that the dresser drawers were open, almost as if you rushed to gather clothing before disappearing. His grip tightened on the doorframe, his nails digging into it briefly before he ran down the hallway. He knew his frantic steps might alert his classmates and wake them from their sleep.
However, he did not care, there was a more pressing matter at hand. This was, of course, finding you and possibly stopping whatever horrific act you wished to commit. He had to find you before it was too late. He had to save you.
He pushed past the front door of the student dorm and hurried down the stairs as the cool night air evaporated his breath. He looked back and forth along the road that surrounded the student campus, and his heart sank when he realized you were nowhere in sight.
Silence fell over him, accompanied by the cries of owls and the chirping of insects in the distance. Then he extended one leg out in front of him, bending it at the knee and extending the opposite leg behind him. His calves shifted and six small engines appeared that sparked to life with a loud rumble.
A deafening silence fell over the world around him as his eyes focused forward. He was about to take off to search the surrounding areas where he had placed the motion devices as he had done countless times before. The only difference was that he was certain you had left the premises this time.
While it could have been easy enough to assume you had merely woken up in the middle of the night to have a snack or use the restroom, it appeared you had taken provisions. This was enough to convince him you were out here.
His engines backfired temporarily when a hand grabbed his shoulder, surprising him and breaking his concentration. “Wow, heh, sorry Iida,” Eijirou said, flashing him a smile. “We were wondering if you’d be out here,” Tsuyu chimed in, coming to stand next to Eijirou. Tenya knit his eyebrows.
“Well, heh,” Eijirou rubbed the back of his head, “you kind of woke everyone up with your rushed footsteps…and Izuku wanted to know what happened,” he explained, nervously. Tsuyu nodded. “When he noticed you weren’t in your room, he searched the dorm, ribbit.”
She then shrugged. “I figured you’d gone after Y/n or something else that triggered the motion sensors,” she explained, pressing one finger to her chin. “Yeah, but we didn’t want you to search alone anymore or go after Y/n by yourself, considering how determined you can get sometimes,” Eijirou said before looking around.
“I was just preparing to track her down,” Tenya explained, almost sounding irritated that he had been interrupted despite knowing his friends meant well. “We’ll help then!” He declared and ignored Tenya’s raised eyebrow.
“I am not certain that is the most beneficial-” Eijirou grabbed onto his shoulders, shaking him. “Which way do you want us to go?!” He asked frantically, and yet again Tenya looked at him with a raised eyebrow before a sigh passed his lips. He felt annoyed but knew that, perhaps, the more help he got the better.
Then again, this was a delicate situation and if more than one person approached you, there was a chance you’d become hostile. That is why he needed to ensure that he found you first. But regardless, he nodded. “Very well,” he said, clasping his chin in thought.
“Perhaps Tsuyu can provide assistance in searching behind the campus. I will search the area up ahead,” he stated, motioning with his hand. “Right, I’ll go this way!” Eijirou exclaimed before running in the opposite direction. In Tenya’s mind, he wondered if they’d get in trouble.
The teachers keep a close eye on the student housing, but surely, they’d understand this situation if Tenya explained it to them. “Good luck on your search Iida,” Tsuyu said before hopping off the ground at a great distance. He watched her soar through the air and turned to see Eijirou looking back and forth a long way down the path.
He trusted that they would do the right thing if they happened upon you but now wasn’t the time to sit and contemplate that. Once again, he got into position, and without delay he was gone in a flash, leaving nothing but lingering gray smoke behind.
The world blurred around him as he sped by, yet it all seemed to be happening in slow motion. The piercing wind against his body felt like a thousand tiny cuts across his exposed flesh, but he didn’t care. Like a true hero, the only thing he focused on in this moment was you.
Near the wooded area, opposite the student dormitory, he slowed his pace and leaned over. Placing his hands on his knees, he panted softly and wiped the sweat from his face. His chest felt heavy, and perhaps that was the weight of responsibility he felt.
He needed to find you, but how? There were endless possibilities as to which direction and path you had taken. Even with his friends searching the area, what was the likelihood that they’d find you before the sun rose? His soft panting continued, and the cool air around him made his moistened skin sting.
The feeling of doubt was beginning to linger in the back of his mind when he felt something vibrate in his pocket. “Hm,” he paused and leaned up before pulling out the device. He looked at it perplexed as it continued to vibrate in his hand.
He pondered for a moment if this was merely another false alarm and that an animal had triggered one of the many motion sensors that were scattered about the area. However, as he lifted his head and glanced into the distance, he noted the trees that made up the nearby forest.
He couldn’t recall at this moment if he had placed a motion sensor in the location he was currently in, but perhaps this was a sign. He swallowed thickly and placed the device back into his pocket before his engines reeved again and he took off for the forest.
The ground underneath him seemed to change in density, its surface turning thicker and more slippery. Perhaps that was due to the mud that accumulated in the area, and he had to slow his pace the closer he got to the entrance of the forest to not slip and fall. He would despise being covered in mud.
Taking a deep breath, he ignored the pounding of his heart in his chest as he cautiously walked up to the first set of trees and noticed a small square device resting against the base of one of the said trees. When he got closer, the device in his pocket vibrated once more.
“Hm,” he clasped his chin and looked at the ground. Although it was dark, the moon allowed him just enough light to be able to make out footprints that led into the forest. “Mm,” he frowned and slowly kneeled to examine them closer.
It was impossible to tell if these were your footprints or perhaps someone else’s, but either way time was ticking away, and seconds were precious now. It was evident that there was a chance you had deviated from the path and instead, took refuge in the forest.
If that were true, then not only were you in danger of getting lost but potential animals could cause harm to you as well. Regardless, if there was a sliver of a chance that you had attempted to hide yourself in the greenery, he needed to take it.
With that in mind, he headed to the forest. He cautiously glanced around and despite the darkened sky looming above him, the small amount of light provided by the moon helped outline the trees and the path that nestled between them.
The Chronicles of A Hero's Daughter (Father!All Might and Daughter!Reader Angst Oneshot)
A/N: Anon, I’m not going to lie, when I first read this request, I was like ehh… idk if I’ll enjoy writing that. And then I actually sit down and write it, and I’m like, WHAT IN THE WORLD, WHY AM I SO INVESTED IN THIS. So anon, you are a genius and you made my day with this request <3. I hope you have as much fun reading this as I had writing it. TW: Mentions of blood. Masterlist Edit: Part 2 Word Count: 3548. Summary: Adopted by All Might at the age of five, Toshinori Y/N was being trained to become the ninth user of One For All. With the quirk Element which gave you the ability to control all four classical elements: Air, Water, Fire, and Earth, you were set for victory in the hero-society. However, after your quirk was stolen, your path led astray, the clear neglect was getting obvious, day by day, as your father found a new student to mentor.
——————————————————————————————————
The phone didn’t even ring for a second and he had already picked it up.
“Y/N, my child, could you get the door? Midoriya-Shounen has come to visit.”
Silently, you obeyed your father as you promptly left your work.
Midoriya Izuku. It was a popular name in the Toshinori household. His name managed to sneak into every dinner conversation, and every evening walk.
And now, he was just outside the door, seconds away from intruding your peace.
You released a breath, fingers on the door handle. Your shoulders dropped down low and you straightened your spine, standing an inch or two taller.
It was finally time to meet him.
So with your best rehearsed smile that still didn’t reach your eyes, and your well rehearsed speech playing continuously in your suffocating mind, you opened the door.
A bouquet of flowers and an earnest grin– this was the first time you met Midoriya Izuku.
A few seconds passed as both of you stood still, your throat running slightly dry as you saw confusion build up in the young man’s face.
“Um”, he took a gulp and stepped back. “I’m looking for the Toshinori household…?”
You blinked at him before clearing your throat.
“Yeah, you’re at th- um, yeah this is- I mean, I am-”
“Midoriya-Shounen!”
A loud and hearty voice greeted the young boy with a warm hug, apron on, spatula in one hand. You winced as you rubbed the shoulder your father swiftly brushed past.
You pressed your lips together as you stood beside the embracing pair, hands behind your back as you hid them further into your sweater.
“Five minutes early as always, my boy! Come on in!”
With an excited nod, the boy stepped inside the house, slipping his shoes off into the side of the genkan before following your father into the living room.
Unspoken words remained discarded in your mouth.
And they led, and you followed.
“You have a lovely house, All Might! I was really afraid I was going to run late. I had a bit of a heart attack when someone else opened the door… I thought I took down the wrong address, my mother told me it would happen but I was so surprised that I didn’t even think to confirm it beforehand or anything and it was so-”
“Midoriya-Shounen, please. Relax,” Toshinori chuckled, resting his hand on the worried boy’s shoulders. “You are here now. Please, sit down.”
Midoriya ran his hand to the back of his hair, sheepishly rubbing it as he took a seat across from you. His cheeks became flushed as his fingers adjusted the neck of his sweater.
Toshinori rushed into the kitchen without another word, grabbing a plate of meticulously placed mochi in one hand, and a tray with two glasses and a pitcher of water in the other.
Midoriya immediately got up as he saw his mentor struggle through the narrow doorway, extending his arms to take the tray from him.
They set the delicacies on the glass table, and without being told, Midoriya placed three coasters that were piled on the side of the table. His nimble hands made quick work of removing the glasses and pitcher from the tray.
“Always a step ahead, my son!” Toshinori commended with a proud grin that stretched across his tired face.
You moved to the side to make space for your father, tensing your legs so you could cramp yourself in the tiny corner of your tiny sofa.
‘My son’.
You watched as your father approached you, a glass of water in hand. Your eyes brightened.
But your fingers barely brushed the cold glass before your father walked past you.
The loud shut of the door shut the sparkle in your gaze and your jaw seized as you observed Midoriya, who moved to the side for your father who sat in the remaining space.
Your hands immediately guarded the sliver of your exposed neck, the pads of your finger rubbing against your collarbone.
Their lengthy conversation bled into a distance, and like a required prop, you just sat in the corner, spacing out onto the clear surface of the table that stood in between, dividing the pride and the disappointment.
Your lips became dry as the shallow inhales and exhales latched onto the chapped skin of your lips.
Water.
You needed water.
But the only glasses in the room glared back at you, half-empty.
“Oh, I’m sorry… Did I take your glass by mistake?”
Midoriya caught on quickly, his eyebrows furrowing apologetically.
You opened your mouth, drawing a breath in until-
“Fret not Midoriya-Shounen, the glass was yours. I must have forgotten to bring the third glass, there wasn’t enough space on the tray, you see.”
Your father had responded once again. And your unspoken words were discarded before they could even be said.
“Y/N, go get yourself a glass, if you please. And on your way, maybe refill the jug too?”
Midoriya stood up with the jug in his hand, “allow me to help you Toshinori-san!”
“Ah nonsense, she can do it herself, my son.”
Placing a hand on his shoulder, your father sat Midoriya back down. “We don’t need to ruin the flow of our conversation, young man! We have much to speak about.”
Midoriya tensed his brows as his gaze lowered. But in the end, with a curt nod, he settled into the comfort of his seat and the jug was placed back on the coaster.
Hours passed. Evening twilight wound into night darkness. The bags under Toshinori’s eyes held greater weight, yet his dark vacant eyes held the reflection of the green-haired man in front of him, gleaming in a halo of pride.
It wasn’t until Toshinori’s lungs gave way to a bloody cough that the pair realised that the jug was empty.
It wasn’t until the pair halted their conversation, glasses in hand, that they realised that the sofa in front of them was empty.
-
After the last few finishing touches, you stepped back with a breath of relief; your aching hips required some support from your hands, but the corners of your mouth twitched.
An infectious pride was blooming in the depths of your chest, painting a ray of sunshine onto your cloudy face. The apples of your cheeks, full and bare; the crinkle of your eye, unfamiliar but genuine. You held your chin up high with your sleeves rolled to your elbows.
“It looks amazing, Y/N-chan!”
You basked in the sonorous sound of your supervisor, who had just stepped besides you.
“This is revolutionary, Y/N-chan, it truly is… I expected one or two sketch designs, but you… I have no words for how proud I am…”
Your lips turned upwards as you met your supervisor’s eyes, beaming her a wide grin before turning back to your exhibition where before you, set delicately, was the accumulation of two years of hard work.
Five scaled down prototypes of iron suits were set on display– standing tall and noble. Each suit was paired with leaflets in their respective stands, with a bold font printed across the face: ‘The Iron Suit and the Quirkless Hero’.
“I couldn’t afford any mistakes sensei… I just couldn’t. This was my dream. It’s been my dream since I was a child...”
And your inner child couldn’t let it go.
So you grabbed her tiny hand, and pulled her far away from her sorrows, protecting her, nourishing her.
The manifestation of the first quirk was regarded as a mystical phenomena; straight out of a sci-fi movie. But as time passed, quirk manifestations spread into common reality. ‘Professional Heroes’– a profession that would have garnered snickers and laughs a century ago, became the most sought after job globally. As the occurrence of a quirk grew, the government instilled quirk academies to scout the best and strongest quirk. Businesses began funding them when the first few heroes were churned out, and so the race to become the number one hero began from age five for many families.
Like all races, it was a test of strength, endurance, and resilience. It wasn’t for the faint of heart, and only the most courageous could join it.
But there were some who just couldn’t join the race? Not because they didn’t want to, no. But because they didn’t even have the legs to reach the starting line.
Toshinori Y/N was adopted by Toshinori Yagi at the age of five. And already, by such a young age, you were sprinting far far ahead.
Your quirk was Element– the ability to control all four classical elements: Air, Water, Fire, and Earth. Your father watched as he created the most powerful vessel for his ultimate goal: to turn his daughter into the ninth user of One For All.
You had the motivation, you had the strength.
You were thrown head-first into the twisted fate of hero society where nothing could bring greater joy than breaking yourself in the name of progress.
Hero society was a place where the pain of training was the sweetness of improvement, and the scars and fractures were the evidence of determination.
So one fateful day as all good things came to an end, you were walking back home, hair pulled back in two pigtails with a kitty lunchbox in one hand. A bag way too big hung on your ten-year-old shoulders, and your quirk was ripped away, gone forever.
The planes of the neighbourhood harboured pained screams of a disturbed soul that haunted every passing parent for the next two months.
Your legs were torn away in the middle of the race. And all you could do was stare at the passersby who mocked you as you tried to contain your spilling blood in order to survive.
Your smile faded and the storm had returned. Your memories were a recurring nightmare.
And you couldn’t wake up from them.
“Your father will be so, so proud of you, Toshinori-san.”
“Mmm…”
You pressed your lips together, lowering your eyes.
“I know he’ll be proud of you.”
You felt her comforting hand squeeze yours.
“Yes, sensei. He will be.”
-
Hours went past since your exhibition started. Countless people and countless pats on the back. It was a haze.
“Your call has been forwarded to the automated messaging sys-”
“For god’s sake.”
You cut the phone.
The lines on your forehead deepened as the number of missed calls grew.
Where was he?
Mentally, you replayed this morning’s conversation with your father. You had vividly remembered that you told him three times: “my exhibition is at five, dad. Please don’t be late.”
You had set alarms on his phone with small reminders attached to them: one at 4:00 PM, one at 4:15 PM, and one at 4:30 PM.
Where was he?
Your heart beat a bitter drum as you watched some fathers with roses in one hand whilst the other was pressed against their hips as they gasped for air.
“I couldn’t be late for my angel’s exhibition now could I?”
It was 9:00 PM.
The crowd had died down and you watched as they drained out: proud fathers holding their daughter’s hand, embracing them in unconditional love. Your once eager eyes were tired, exhausted from searching and scanning for the only face you had internally begged for.
Had you not expected it, you would have cried.
Your thumb hovered over your father’s name on your phone, hesitant.
But there was no point. You switched your phone off.
“Hana,” you asked the few friends that were left, “can you help me pack my things please?”
-
The pitch black darkness dragged the walk back to the nearest bus station. With your hands occupied with bags that contained the remains of your exhibition, periodically, you peered at the dimly-lit empty street behind you.
The street lights flickered sporadically, teasing your lone steps that were getting faster and faster.
The bus ride home was fine. You met a few friends waiting at the stop with their parents. Although when alone on the outer seat, hood still up, your eyes may have lingered too long at the napping daughters resting their head on their smiling fathers’ shoulders.
Your stop approached in forty-five minutes.
It was 10:36 PM when you got off the bus. The usual hustle of your neighbourhood had settled, so it wasn’t too hard to spot a head with green, curly hair leisurely walking towards your bus stop.
“Midoriya-kun?”
The young boy lifted his head from his phone to look around.
You gave him a hesitant wave, receiving a warm smile in return.
“Toshinori-san?” he asked, taking off his earphones.
“Uh, yeah, it’s me.”
You shoved your hands in your pockets.
“Wha- what are you doing here?” you blurted, staring at the ground.
The abrasive nature of your words caused Midoriya to stand straighter. He blinked a few times before answering.
“Oh um, All Might called me over for a chat. He told me you weren’t home so he said it would be a good chance to discuss more… things?”
The young boy ended his sentence with a wavering voice, getting quieter as he saw your body stiffen.
In the moments of your wordless exchange, a warm ache began to develop in the walls of your skull.
Midoriya’s gaze, which was travelling to and fro, fixed upon the bags hanging from your wrists.
“How about you? Um… Where did you come back from?”
Your mind tried to console your heart, hushing the bubbling feelings of resentment towards the boy in front of you.
You let out a sigh, letting your shoulders drop low.
You were tired.
“I came back from an exhibition.”
“Oh really? Were you presenting? Is that what the bags are for?”
Your lips found themselves smiling at Midoriya’s observation.
“Yeah,” you nodded, “they have my exhibition prototypes in them.”
Your ears perked up at the approaching sounds of relaxed footsteps.
“May I see them please?” Midoriya asked.
Finally, you lifted your head to meet his eyes.
You mumbled, passing him the bag with your prototype inside. “Yeah… sure.”
Minutes passed in complete silence. Timid glances found themselves analysing the look on Midoriya’s face, who was carefully reading the contents of your pamphlet, cross-checking it with your prototype. You felt a warm flush on your cheeks as the boy looked up at you, eyes wide and bright.
“You made this? By yourself?”
He was baffled: eyebrows raised, eyes twinkling. You pressed your lips together in attempts to hide your grin as you nodded.
“It took me two years.”
Midoriya carefully placed your prototypes back into their respective boxes, passing the bag back into your hands.
“I didn’t expect this at all- I mean, of course, you’re All Might’s daughter but just, being quirkless and everything? I just-” his expressive face comforted yours.
“You’re so cool, Toshinori-san. You’re so cool!”
The swells of your cheeks began hurting as you stared at Midoriya, your waterline becoming annoyingly emotional.
“Thank you, Midoriya-kun…”
“Please,” he chimed, “call me Izuku.”
You let out a chuckle just this once, sneaking a swipe to wipe the corner of your eyes.
“In that case, please call me Y/N.”
Izuku’s wide grin ignited a mellow flame in your disappointed heart. You cursed your heart for every ill thought that crossed your mind about the boy that stood in front of you.
“I am honoured to meet a brilliant mind like yours Y/N-san… The amount of lives this can save… The amount of innocent lives this can protect from harassment… You’re amazing Y/N-san,” he repeated, bowing down.
You blushed, your hands immediately reaching out towards the young boy to lift him up, “oh, Izuku-kun, please don’t bow…”
“My younger self thanks you Y/N-kun…” he whispered.
There was a small crack in his soft voice.
Your eyebrows twitched and the cold air travelled through the small opening in your mouth.
“What do you mean, ‘younger self’...?”
Midoriya’s big green eyes were frosted on the surface. He straightened his back, staring off into the distance.
“I’m sure your father told you, Y/N-san”, he cleared his throat.
“I was born quirkless.”
Your fingers felt cold.
“Quirkless…?”
“Yes. I was born quirkless. The doctors didn’t know what caused it. My parents had a quirk. My mother can float small objects towards her. And my father has a powerful quirk: fire breathing.”
His voice began quivering and the young boy had to take a pause.
“All I wanted as a young child was to become All Might. I still do, to be honest. I had a little All Might onesie. And my mother bought me all the All Might action figures. I would play hero with her. She used to act like a citizen in distress and for that short amount of time, I was her hero. And that led to me wanting to become everyone’s hero.”
His tears reflected the moonlight waning in the sombre sky.
“I was five years old when I was told my dreams were basically worthless. That I should give up… and become a police officer.”
You bit the inside of your cheeks, hiding your hands inside your pockets.
“I didn’t eat for three days. I couldn’t stomach anything, so at some point, I-I guess I ended up fainting, and my mom had to rush me into the ER.”
Two bodies stood underneath the cold, clinical street light, incredibly still.
But the loud noises pinched you to disturb the silence.
You had to know.
“But… what about your quirk now?”
-
The door creaked open into a fully-lit living room. Toshinori was sitting in front of the television, phone in hand, swiping through his texts.
Trays and glasses– two glasses exactly– were lazing on the table with cubes of melting ice piled up on the bottom. The cushions were moved to the side, and the couch covers relaxed comfortably with deep wrinkles.
An unnoticed figure slipped inside the house and Toshinori felt two eyes settle onto him.
“Y/N, when did you come back?”
Nothing.
“My child,” he stood up, reaching towards your shoulder.
You shrugged his hand off as soon as it touched you, lost in the voices consuming your mind.
“Y/N! What is the meaning of this?”
“It’s eleven.”
“What do you-”
“It’s eleven!”
Your father’s body tensed as he stepped back, his brows knitted in pain and confusion.
Your throat, strained and dry, struggled to find words as it battled against the bitter rise of bile.
Your jaw trembled as your eyes burnt with unshed tears in the now blurring room. The cries of betrayal felt so weak. What should have been anger– a hellflame spreading throughout your house, came out a sniffle and singular tear. Anger that should have engulfed the sounds in the room and overpowered the drone of the television and the tick of the passing time was nothing but suppressed by the overbearing eyes that scrunched in concern.
“What do I have to do to get you to pay attention to me, dad? What do I have to do…” you weeped, your hands consoling your own body because no one else present could.
The cries of betrayal felt so weak because it was someone else’s incompetency, someone else’s fault that pained your wailing heart. And the cries of a wailing heart begging to be loved was a silent sound that overpowered all sense of self.
“What does he have that I don’t, dad? What did he do that I failed to do?”
You broke down into his arms. You found refuge despite his false embrace; it repulsed you because you knew it was going to be short-lived.
It was a fake.
“Why did I have to find out that my father was quirkless from someone else’s mouth?”
You felt his chest fall as your father squeezed you tighter.
“Why didn’t you tell me, dad?” you whispered.
“I’m sorry Y/N, I’m so sorry…”
“Am I not worthy enough… Was I not worthy enough to find out?”
Your ears preened, begging for reassurance, begging to hear: ‘that’s not true my child’.
But it never came.
“I’m sorry for not being strong enough, dad… I’m sorry for letting him steal my quirk, dad.”
You tore away from his chest, sniffling away your tears for the last time.
“But why didn’t you tell me that One For All could work with quirkless too?”
Toshinori crossed his hands in front of him as he averted his gaze from yours.
“Why can’t you talk to me? Was I not good enough! Am I so weak without my quirk? That you blindly gave your power away to a boy you met a day ago! Dad, look at me!” you screamed, far too lost to control yourself. “Why couldn’t you give it to me, your own goddamn daughter? What did I not do dad, what did I not do!”
Why did All Might extend his hand to save Midoriya, when his daughter gave up her whole life to burn for his dreams?
His silence spoke a thousand words, so it was about time you spoke your final words.
“You’re a great hero, dad. But that’s all you’ll ever be… you’ve been a great hero but you’ll never be a great dad.”
What would make All Might give OFA to his daughter?
I don't think so.
THINK ABOUT IT THINK ABOUT IT.
all might went through pure TORTURE to master it, and is he gonna let his sweet baby girl go through the same pain AND be hunted down by AFO like shimura and the rest of the weilders of OFA were?
NO. NEVER. NOT IN A THOUSAND YEARS
but Izuku might if you ask him nicely.
and I know that Toshinori is trying to hide it as best as he can.
but one night when you were 8, he came home in his (big? muscular? weird neck ?) form and dear lord, you screamed so loud I'm pretty sure you broke a glass.
anyway, you threw your princess tiara at him RIGHT IN THE STOMACH WHERE HIS INJURY IS.
so now AM is groaning in pain in the front door, the neighbors are considering filing for child abuse, You are calling Tsukauchi back at the police department (because of course AM told you to call him) crying over the phone because someone that looks like daddy but isn't and now has your princess tiara and has the necklace you made him for fathers day, and Tsukauchi CALLS ALL MIGHT TO TAKE CARE OF THE SITUATION AND IT"S JUST ONE BIG WHEEL OF STUPIDITY.
so Tsukauchi gets to your house and finally understands what happened and took all might to the hospital and while he's there he explains one for all and once all might gets there hes just met with this tiny menace of a reader who's all pouty and refused to talk to him since he kept a very BIG secret from her, and at this point he's on his KNEES begging for forgiveness.
thank you for sending in a request, this is my 3rd time writing from an ask!
Take A Break
Toshinori knows how to deal with exam stress
Word Count - 2056
“When was the last time you ate something?”
You jumped at his voice and spun to face the doorway.
Toshi felt bad, he thought you’d heard him talking to Mina in the hallway. Your door had been open, he hadn’t thought about knocking beforehand.
Your shocked expression melted when you realized it was him and you turned back to your books. “Uhh, breakfast. Why?”
“Because it is dinner in an hour.”
You merely hummed in reply, continuing to write notes from the passage you were reading.
Toshi sighed, moving further into your room and looking down at your desk. “Heroics 101” lay open on your table, surrounded by pages of your notes that seemed to have no order to them.
“Be completely honest with me, are you ok?”
“I’m fine Dad.” you drawled distractedly, flipping a page in the textbook, your eyes scanning across the page faster than he imaged you actually managing to take in the words.
Toshi watched you closely for a moment. Your hair was in a half-hearted bun, the one you did when your hair was annoying you but you didn’t have the patience to do up properly. The strands that hung around it showed it had been redone over and over when you became frustrated and yanked the hair tie out viciously as a way to physically express the rage. Your eyes were bloodshot, and darker than normal purple bags hung under them.
Your water bottle sat empty on the desk, looking like it had been empty a while. Toshi took it wordlessly and entered your bathroom to refill it.
He placed it down on the desk and it barely stayed there a second before you scooped it up and finished the bottle in half a minute, thanking him when you were done.
“You’re a horrible liar.” Toshi started, taking the now again empty bottle and refilling it.
“How you know I’m lying?” You shot back, reaching up a hand to fist your hair for a moment, before continuing your notes.
So that meant you had a headache as well.
“I’m your dad, I know you better than anyone.” He placed the bottle down, then crossed his arms and lent against your desk expectantly.
You ignored him, continuing with your work.
Sighing again, he moved over and flipped your textbook shut.
“Hey!” You turned to face him as he knelt on him knees, now eye-level with you.
He reached over and spun your chair, forcing your body to face his. He looked at you, and you scowled back.
“Talk to me.” he pleaded, brows scrunching in worry when he took in how exhausted you were.
You tried to keep the stubbornness for a few moments, but like he said, he’s your dad and your stubbornness became useless when confronted by the man you inherited the stubbornness from.
“I guess I haven’t been very good lately.” you gave in after a sigh, looking down at your lap and playing with your shirts hem.
This is what Toshi hated about everybody being moved to the dorms, he never got to see you outside of classes anymore. Before, back when you lived in the apartment, dinners would be spent discussing each other’s days, even if it was over the phone because he was on shift. The only exceptions were if he was on a case, which then meant he’d phone you just before bed to catch up.
Now, you woke up in your dorm and he in his, got ready for school/work respectively and would only see one another in the halls or in class. Occasionally, when he didn’t have a staff meeting, you might have lunch together. Then, afterschool was filled with homework and grading papers, dinner was done as a class for you and he alone in his room, and then it was bedtime. Often so exhausted from your days, all that would be exchanged after dinner was a ‘goodnight’ text.
And now that end of term exams was here, weekends were spent either preparing for exams, in his case, or studying in yours. It was impacting your relationship, he could see now. He didn’t get the chance to just check-in on you, see how your day was.
He thought he was the only one suffering. You had been so excited to be able to live with all your friends in the beginning and selfishly he’d hated the idea.
You were his baby, he wasn’t ready to let you go live without him. He hated his quiet place, his one-person dinners, but he kept his mouth shut because that was his problem to deal with, not yours. Never yours.
Maybe he’d been so focused on his suffering, he hadn’t noticed you were needing him. Damnit, why did he have to be so single focused?
“What’s wrong, Little One?”
You took a shaky inhale, eyes glassing over. “I know I’m not perfect, but I do try my hardest.”
Toshi blinked. Woah, where did that come from? Not perfect?
“Exams.” You added, reaching up to wipe a tear. “Exams are coming up and… and you got top scores in all your classes. I need to-”
“No.” You flinched at his stern interruption, looking up at him.
He reached up to cup your cheeks, using his thumbs to wipe away the rolling tears. Oh his poor little girl? That was what was going on? You were stressing over living up to his legacy?
He knew this might’ve happened when he’d decided to move you from the States to come and do high school here at U.A, the expectations that you would live up to him, surpass him. He’d expected it from the other teachers, students who wanted to test your resolve, jealous classmates who felt you got special treatment, but from yourself? He had never intended for you feel as though you needed to be as good as him, to try surpass him. As long as you did your best, he was immeasurably proud.
No, he was already so proud you’d decided to become a hero, after all this line of work had taken from you, robbing you of a father at home and almost taking his life.
Granted, when you were younger he prayed you would not follow in footsteps, and when you announced you wanted to become a hero, he’ll admit he’d needed to take a walk to cool his burning desire to shut down your plans.
He was proud of you, even if you dropped out today and decided to become anything else, he’d be proud of you.
“You do not need to do anything like that.” He started, wiping another tear.
“But-”
“I am proud of you.”
You smiled, a forced one. More tears gathered. “But what if I fail?”
Toshi reached out, taking you into his arms and cradling you close. “I want you to know, I’ll always be proud of you. No matter what. You are perfect.”
You sniffed, wrapping your arms around Toshi and letting a few more tears fall.
Holding you like this always reminded Toshi of the first time he got to hold you. You had been so small, and not just because he was giant, you had been born so early. No one had known if you’d make it, but you did, showed the world even then that you were a fighter. Once you had finally been released from the NICU after 3 weeks, he could hold you. You fit in just one hand, and he’d held you so close to his chest, cried at your tiny form looking up at him with identical blue eyes to his own.
You were, still are, his perfect daughter. He’d been a hero for years, knew what it meant to want to protect people, but in that moment he understood what it meant to want to devote the rest of his life to the well-being of a single soul. He knew he’d fight anyone and anything to keep you safe, do anything you wanted to keep that smile on your face, throw all dignity out the window to make you laugh. The only thing that had changed since that day and this moment was that he was little smaller and you a lot bigger, but still not too big as to be able to not fit into his arms.
He wished he could take these exams away from you, take all those expectant eyes off your back and let you just be. But, as Aizawa kept reminding him, you were going to face this criticism no matter where you went, and you needed to learn to handle it yourself, because Daddy running in to save you would just prove the hater’s points.
But this, you attacking yourself, this he could and will fight. Afterall, you were still his baby.
He stroked your back till your tears stopped flowing and you began fidgeting in his embrace. He released you, standing slowly. Curse these old, creaking knees.
“I think you should take a break from your studies. Let’s go for a walk.”
“But-” You tried to argue back, but then he shot you his ‘sad face’ and you stopped.
“We haven’t been spending a lot of time together, let’s change that.”
You glanced at your closed textbook, then back at your dad.
“Guess I could use a break.”
Toshi smiled, leading the way out your room, down the hall and out the dorm building. And couldn’t stop smiling the whole walk as you left your stress behind you and talked like old times.
------
I bit my lip so hard I half expected the taste of blood to follow. My leg bounced so badly it shook my entire body.
God this was worse than writing the damn exams. Why did we have to wait a full week for the results? Couldn’t we get them before going on break?
I mean, I know the teachers need a chance to mark but really? What am I supposed to do all week waiting?
My future, the legacy of my father was relying on these results.
I could hear some talking from my classmates in the hallways, saying goodbye to those who had managed to get the school let them go home for the break. We weren’t supposed to, but if your parents wrote saying that a family vacation was booked, then the school kinda had to let you leave.
It wasn’t going to be too bad of a holiday. Us remaining could find stuff to do, maybe get permission to go into the city one day.
My dad was probably gonna be busy marking or doing whatever teacher stuff he had to. Maybe he’d head over to the Might Tower for a few days and sort stuff out there.
Things had been better since that walk during exams. We were both trying to make an effort to talk now, even if it was a few minutes a day. He checked in on me.
Maybe I should call him quick, see if he could distract me?
“You up for a long drive?”
I looked up from my phone to see the man in question standing at my door. This parent telepathy was freaky.
“Always. Any place in mind?”
He smiled, pushing off the door frame.
“Pack for a few days.”
And then he was gone. Last time we’d gone on vacation was when he’d gotten some days off 3 years ago and we’d driven to the Grand Canyon.
A cross-country trip of Japan? Count me in!
Leaping from my bed, I frantically packed what I thought I’d need into a duffle and then raced down to the first floor, shouting a goodbye to the classmates that were in the common area as I went.
Dad was already outside, his own bag at his side. The walk to the car was spent with me trying to guess where we were going, which wielded no other answer but, “That’s the point of a secret.”
Well, wherever we went, having a few days of just Dad and me, and the open road was all I ever needed.
Throwing our bags in the back, I hopped into the cab and connected the aux, shuffling our joint playlist.
“To undisclosed location we go!” I declared, and we drove out of the gates of U.A and into the adventure beyond.
izuku Midoriya x AFO's Daughter PT1
La niña de AFO, la preciosa heredera del rey demonio ahora estaba frente suyo, Toshinori no sabía que hacer.La sobrina del primer vestigio gateaba en el suelo felizmente, tenía el cabello y los ojos de su padre, definitivamente una copia de él. Pobre de la madre que fue usada y asesinada. Suspiró, ahora le tocaba hacerce cargo de una niña que no era suya, pero que no podía dejar a la ligera. Siendo hija de AFO, estaría bajo supervisión de All Might. La niña era tan dulce, quizás salió a su madre, All might no pudo evitar encariñarse con los años. La niña encontró algo fascinante en All Might, su pequeño secreto. Era bien sabido que poseía el mismo quirk que su padre, por lo cual, tenía su conexión con One For All. Sentía una cercanía, un calor en Toshinori no solo como su padre, si no como algo más, había algo más.
A ella le encanta tomar siestas sobre Toshinori, su esquelética forma no le asusta en lo absoluto, le encanta cuando sonríe con esa forma delgada. Es en una de esas siestas que despierta en un lugar blanco, ella siente algo distinto y le produce miedo. Sabe que su padre no está allí con ella aún si hace poco ella dormida junto a él. La ansiedad se junta en su pequeño ser y las lágrimas fluyen con libertad. Tiene miedo de hacer ruido y llamar la atención de algo desconocido. No es hasta que un hombre muy grande se cierne sobre ella, está estupefacta, aterrada. Este hombre parece confuso sobre lo que hace una niña aquí hasta que sus ojos se abren en su descubrimiento.
Cielos, la niña de All Might.
La hija de All For One.
Frunce el ceño nervioso, está niña entró en el One for all sin restricciones, ¿Porque?
Los demás portadores se reúnen a su alrededor, Nana golpea al hombre más grande por asustar a una niña. Por que eso es lo que era, una niña asustada. No había maldad.
Nana intenta acercarse amablemente, una sonrisa maternal en su rostro. La niña solo se aleja.
— Mi papá dice que no me acerque a extraños. —Continua llorando, y eso es hasta que un hombre con cabello blanco se inclina frente a ella.
Sus ojos rojos se abren ante este hombre, él era..este hombre era aquello que se encontraba en All Might.
— Toshinori te enseño bien, querida. —Murmura con cariño, sus ojos verdes sonríen genuinamente.
Ella lo sabe, sabe que este hombre es familia y se lanza a abrazarlo, es lo que ella estuvo sintiendo desde que era mas pequeña dentro de su padre adoptivo.
Y es simplemente como si él siempre la estuviese llamando, con su instinto de instruirla en cambio de su hermano. Desde entonces suele visitar a los vestigios frecuentemente. All might no sabe cómo está niña sabe siquiera lanzar un golpe, otro pequeño secreto, Nana le instruye defensa personal. Le gusta jugar juegos de rompecabezas cuando Tsukauchi los visita y vestir trajes de dinosaurio mientras Toshinori la lleva a los parques de diversiones.
La vida junto a Toshinori es la más divertida, ¡Héroe de día y padre de noche, es mucho mejor que Batman! Si alguien le preguntará quién es su héroe, ella no responderá que All Might, ella dirá cálidamente.
— ¡Mi papi Toshinori!
Lo que hace que el corazón del rubio explote, ella no quiere la imagen que construyó durante años, ella lo quiere a él, al verdadero él. Sí, tener hijos no es tan malo, es increíble. Y la diversión acaba en el incidente donde All Might casi pierde la vida, su estómago fue vaciado y le consiguieron los mejores médicos para mantenerlo estable. All Might hubiese preferido perder la vida en ese instante cuando Night Eye le contó que su hija adoptiva fue secuestrada. Rápidamente desconecta todos los cables que tiene en el cuerpo e intenta salir de la cama, es tan débil que su compañero lo obliga a estar en la cama y obedecer a los médicos. No puede evitar pensar en donde puede estar su niña, que está haciendo, quién la tiene y si está bien. Sí, esto es culpa de All For One, todo es culpa de ese hombre.
Saliendo del hospital no puede evitar buscar en todos lados, en todo el mundo, no puede evitar pensar en que su niña ahora podría estar siendo moldeada en el siguiente simbolo del mal en contra de su voluntad, es una niña tan dulce.. su cabeza da mil vueltas todo el día. All Might no culpa a Sir night eye, sabe que All For One es más poderoso que cualquiera, que aún teniendo previsión la maldad de ese hombre supera todos los aspectos, realmente no lo culpa. Aún si se separaron, Sir night eye lo notificará de la búsqueda de su hija, no dejará de investigar por All Might y por la culpa que siente, él debió prever ese escenario. Recuerda a la niña, sus lágrimas y sus gritos mientras sus pequeñas manos forcejeaban con los agresores.. y como él no pudo hacer nada. El fracaso no era una opción y sin embargo lo hizo de la peor manera.
La niña lloró con fuerza esperando ser escuchada por algún héroe después de que la niebla se la llevará y la dejará en esta bodega, el hombre no se mueve y conserva su distancia, lo que alivia a la niña en cierta forma, no la lastimaron y no sabe si lo harán. Pronto la puerta del lugar es abierta con fuerza y ella no puede evitar estremecerse, hay un hombre cubierto de sangre acercándose a ella, no puede discernir bien su rostro masacrado, es como una película de terror y ella no quiere ser la protagonista. La niña tiembla cuando el hombre coloca su mano ensangrentada en su mejilla y le dedica esa sonrisa tan aterradora.
— Bienvenida a casa, Cariño.
****
A lo lejos pudo notar a una chica, su cabello blanco bailando en el aire, sus ojos se posaron en él, no pudo evitar estremecerse. El aire se volvió tan pesado y helado que le costó respirar por un momento, su presencia es como la de AFO. Estaban lidiando con un ataque de villanos y ahora esto..¿Qué diablos estaba pasando?
Ella sonrió.
El peliverde podía verla avanzar hacia él en un salto y cuando la tuvo tan cerca, no se atrevió a atacarla.
— ¡Tío!
Izuku no sabía lo que pasaba hasta que la chica lo tomo de las mejillas, con una sonrisa aterradoramente calida, como si de un premio se tratará. Sintió terror, All For One alguna vez lo llamo hermano, como si Izuku fuera algún tipo de encarnación del primer portador y ahora está chica lo relacionaba con su tío. Izuku no sabía cómo procesarlo, se sorprendió aún más cuando OFA repelió a la chica, mandándola hacia atrás.
— ¿Porqué? ¿¡Porque diablos te la pasas rechazandome!? ¿A nosotros? —Exclamó con desesperación. — ¡Soy tu familia, siempre lo he sido, Tío!
Ella lloró frente a Izuku, una mano en su pecho apretando sus prendas.
— Solo te quiero cerca una vez más.. ¡Solo una vez más! — Murmuró antes de que Kurigiri llegará a su lado e intentará llevarla de regreso. — ¡No! ¡Mi tío está allá, y si mi padre y Tomura son tan cobardes yo lo tomaré!
Ella aparta la niebla tanto como puede para avanzar aunque sea un paso hacia Izuku.
— Princesa, la llevaré sea su deseo o no.
Y con eso desaparecieron ambos, dejando a Izuku con mil preguntas que esperaba All Might contestará luego.
Why them? (Omega! Legal Guardians! BNHA x Alpha! All Might Daughter! Reader, Dead! All Might) Intro
Long long ago, centuries before quirks there were as many alphas as there were omegas. Then a plague hit world killing off most alphas, leaving mostly infertile and angry alphas behind. It was decided then that alphas needed to be protected but also controlled. So alphas became property of omegas who took over the world.
As time passed though they changed from calling omegas alphas owners to legal guardians. Some came to protest even that was wrong and that alphas should be free to do what they wanted once they were adults. It gave hope to many young alphas who wished to free from oppression. However the government and most people stood firm in their decision that alphas could not live on their own.
When quirks came about it was further cemented that alphas could not take care of themselves as they didn't get quirks. They stayed the same without the special powers at 80% of the population gained. By 200 years post the first quirk alphas made up only a mere 3% of the population of the world and they had all pretty much lost hope of being free.
Y/n Yagi was one such alpha with no hope. She was born the daughter of the number 1 pro hero, All Might who was really named Yagi Toshinori. He used to be a great father to her, very loving and doting. Then when she was 12 he meet his successor, Midoriya Izuku who went by the nick name Deku, and things quickly went down hill.
For the next two years he spent all his time with Izuku. Then when Deku started at UA he got a teaching job there and once he had students it was like his alpha daughter completely didn't exist him beyond a quick hello or goodbye. Y/n grew to resent all her father's students that he had, especially Izuku. She had thought it would get better once Deku and his friends graduated from UA and became pro heroes. It did not.
Once they were graduated he began to visit all of them on a regular basis when he wasn't at the hospital. If he wasn't trying to prolong his life he was with a former student. This caused Y/n to resent them further and start to hate her father. Knowing that even though he was dying he didn't want to spend time with her was an eye opener.
Two years after Deku graduated and when Y/n was 18 All Might passed away. Y/n was numb all through the funeral and afterwards. She had known it was coming and while she was sad she had no tears for the father who treated her like she didn't exist for 6 years.
She expected to be taken to a alpha shelter or something by the government until they could find a 'guardian' for her but that had not happened. Instead she was taken to her father's will reading. She wasn't surprised he left almost everything to Deku. She was surprised when the lawyer got to the end started talking about her and custody. Her father had apparently decided who her guardian or guardians would be before hand for when he died. When the lawyer finally said the name(s) Y/n's first thought was, 'Why them? Anyone else is preferable. I don't want to go with...'
