Was going through your tags and saw the discussion on Taylor and more heavily branded clothing; as someone who used to be in her fandom (but saw the light, which is why I come here), even just last year she would mix in a lot more accessible brands or thrifted/vintage pieces that relatively anyone could’ve come across. She was known for wearing free people a lot, like a 40 dollar corset top last june that people sold out and begged for so much that they brought it back. Other brands too like Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Reformation, Topshop, Brandy Melville. Even the more inexpensive options at places like Ralph Lauren (ofc this would be mixed in with a designer bag or shoes etc). Her luxe pieces also weren’t logo heavy or easily identifiable. However, since she entered her WAG era, her street style itself has started including head to TOE mixed match designer, fully monogrammed fits, and 70,000 ancient jewelry (?). This was actually such an apparent and dramatic switch that TaylorSwiftStyle, who’s been blogging Taylor’s fashion for a decade, pointed it out, which lead to her cancellation in the fandom because they claim she is “insulting Taylor while profiting off of her” and “being racist” because her assessment that logos may come from sports culture must equal saying it comes from the black community/travis’s friends (?). Which is funny that swifties care more about “racism” if it may be directed at travis’s friends than Travis’s objectively racist comments himself, making fun of people who don’t speak English just last year! The whole thing is very desperate - they just can’t admit her greed is at an all time high, and don’t believe her when she herself sang “I can change everything about me to fit in.” When people tell you who they are, believe them.
100%! I didn't know that about TaylorSwiftStyle.

PHOTOSHOOT: KISS MAGAZINE
Marina covered the January 2013 issue of Ireland's Kiss Magazine! The colorful editorial was shot by Naomi Gaffey and styled by her sister Naomi Gaffey who made sure to include a handful of Irish and other British labels!
Hair and makeup by Billy Orf, respectively.
Tumblr media
For the cover photo, she looked stellar in the Fall/Winter 2012 star print stretch silk cocktail dress with long bat sleeves (€410.00 - sold out) by up-and-coming Irish designer NATALIEBCOLEMAN.
Tumblr media
Look n. 2 shows Marina wearing a Reiss ivory knit sweater featuring ribbed sleeves and a round neck (€155.00 - sold out). I couldn’t find her exact one but I've pictured a similar one for you above!
Another emerging Irish designer featured in the editorial is Emma Manley and her brand Manley Studio. This rose-gold metallic leather skirt with micro-scalloped hem (€385.00 - sold out) was created for her Spring/Summer 2013 collection!
Tumblr media
Chunky necklaces were the rave back in 2012 (along with peplums and neon colors). But I wouldn't mind wearing this ZARA chain necklace with diamanté leopard head (€19.95 - sold out) even today!
Tumblr media
Marina's very girly look was completed with these whimsy Office tiger pointed-toe pumps with multicolored gems at the front (€89.00 - sold out).
Tumblr media
Both Marina's Stolen Moment pink velvet skater dress (€85.00 - sold out) and studded leather biker jacket (€293.00 - sold out) are from the MINKPINK x Urban Outfitters collection.
In some other photos, she added the Topshop "Geek" print blue tee (€27.00 - sold out)...
Tumblr media
...and her Fam Irvoll round blue acetate sunglasses, which she absolutely loved back then!
Tumblr media
She also wears Accessorize "I 🩷 U" comic bubble necklace (€9.00 - sold out) and black suede platform pumps by Office (€80.00 - sold out).
Tumblr media
Then, Marina brought the party in this ASOS cross-back party dress in multi sequin featuring a sleeveless cut and round neck ($55.95 - sold out).
Tumblr media
Marina's jewelry here included this River Island "Pow!" comic enamel necklace, and a set of rings from New Look.
Tumblr media
My favorite look from this editorial comprises an American Apparel black tank crop top (€24.00 - sold out), and a Topshop black pencil skirt (€61.00 - sold out), entirely covered in rhinestones!
Tumblr media
"This is how to be a heartbreaker" 💔
Marina dons the Joanne Hynes Spring/Summer 2013 "My Black Heart" leather and crystal statement necklace. (€220.00 - sold out).
Tumblr media
I'm head over heels for these Office black patent platform pumps with plexi heel (€91.00 - sold out).
Tumblr media
This look is completely vintage! Her colorful houndstooth mohair sweater is vintage 1980s Rafaella (embellished with an Accessorize M letter brooch) while her black leather skirt is a vintage find from Folkster.

PHOTOSHOOT: INSTYLE MAGAZINE
Back in 2010, Marina graced the pages of InStyle Magazine. The editorial, which showcased some of the best Fall/Winter 2010 collections, was lensed by Christophe Rihet.
Styling by Amanda Bellan and Frankie Read, hair by Paul Percival, makeup by Cassie Jones and nails by Julie Luong.
Tumblr media
We're starting off strong with Marina dressed in a Dior chunky ivory wool knit cardigan with baby-blue silk ribbons and white fur trimming (£1,650.00) which she teamed up with Dolce & Gabbana burgundy velvet wrap bustier dress with draping and jewel brooches (£1,300.00).
Tumblr media
Her jewelry here includes a Topshop metal chain necklace with a Pebble London 22ct gold, blue aventurine and silk necklace (£240.00 - similar pictured).
On her hands, she wore a Dorothy Perkins black leather ring (£12,50) and a Sarah Ho London 18ct gold, quartz and tsavorite ring (£2,150.00).
Tumblr media
Look n. 2 displays Marina wearing her favorite designer, Vivienne Westwood! She chose one of the final numbers from the Gold Label's F/W10 runway - a lilac silk taffeta dress with exploding black organza skirt.
As in accessories, she wore two studded leather cuffs by Felder Felder (£200.00 each), a feather and 18ct gold headdress by English jewellers Wright & Teague...
Tumblr media
...which she then swapped for a Sonia Rykiel beige ostrich feather pom-pom headband (£350.00).
Tumblr media
One element I've noticed about this shoot: there's just never enough when it comes to jewelry! Layering chunky necklaces is such an early 2010s thing and this shoot definitely showed how to do it back then.
Marina combined a Djurdja Watson black jet necklace with Swarovski crystals (£476.00) with a Topshop metal multi-strand watch necklace in silver (£50.00)
Tumblr media
M further accessorized her look with a Chanel metal open-work, enamel, resin and gripoix cuff (£1,724.00)...
Tumblr media
...and Pebble London mother-of-pearl oval bezel ring (£165.00 - similar pictured) and gold-plated & pink aventurine ring (£145.00).
Tumblr media
The HOT Steampunk-inspired metallic gold and black patent leather sandals (£635.00) are signed by Rupert Sanderson.
Tumblr media
For the third look of this editorial, the singer wore a white tulle dress with fraying and ruffles from Chanel's collection, which was inspired by Winter wonderland.
Tumblr media
Marina's jewelry here included a Tom Binns Design Punk Chic metal necklace (£895.00), a Djurdja Watson gold-plated silver and brass necklace with Swarovski crystals (£389.00), and a Hoss Intropia silk and crystal cuff (£79.50).
Tumblr media
Next, she accentuated the waist of her dress by rocking a Hollywood Trading Company studded black leather belt (£205.00).
Tumblr media
The look was completed with these black eel skin peep-toe platform pumps (£585.00) from Rupert Sanderson.
Tumblr media
Here, Marina wore the Lolita bodysuit (£439.00) from Bebaroque's "Matador" collection with embroidery inspired by Spanish traditional matador costumes and historical embroidery.
She layered a L'Agence cotton skirt (£170.00) with a Topshop tulle and diamanté maxi skirt (£70.00).
Tumblr media
Her jewelry starts off with this beautiful Chanel Pre-Fall 2010 "Paris-Shanghai" collection gold metal, enamel and silk tassel necklace (£2,285.00).
She also wore Tom Binns Design crystal earrings (£120.00), the Felder Felder studded leather cuffs (£200.00 each), Pebble London gold-plated, onyx and coral ring (£165.00) and Sarah Ho London 18ct white-gold, topaz and diamond ring (£4,760.00).
Lastly, her black leather biker boots (£160.00) are Hudson London.
Tumblr media
For the penultimate look, Marina sports this intricate folded black lambskin leather sleeveless coat (£2,795.00) by John Rocha!
Tumblr media
Last but definitely not least, Marina poses in this Emilio Pucci Fall/Winter 2010 mustard-yellow ostrich feather jacket (£4,865.00), which I promise, would go missing if it was near me.
