⋯✧・♪♫♪・✧⋯ Sitriini Sinfonia is Prince Usva's Music Instructor but also the most famous musician Misterica has ever known - setting right up in the ranks with his mother Palava Tuli. His music is widely loved and cherished and commissioned by the church often but due to a wrist injury when he was 20, Sinfonia was forced to set down his violin far more than he cares for.

He plays very little in comparison to his youth and has turned to teaching Prince Usva in place of continuing his career as a musician. He was raised in the palace along side Lord Aurinko, as his mother Tuli is one of Aurinko's soul binds and taught the young king music herself. With Aurinko only being 3 years older than Aurinko, Sinfonia sees him more as his older brother than any form of authority figure.

He's a complicated man that is basically adoptive family to the Royal Family. The King being his brother and the prince's his nephews. So it was a well kept secret for many years when Sinfonia soul bound to Prince Usva to take his position as one of his instructors. It wasn't so much against the rules because he wasn't blood but still would have been highly frowned upon and Aurinko might have been accused of favoritism should it have spread too far by the wrong people.

The wrong people being Smaragdin Syksy who found out about this little secret and used it to blackmail Sinfonia into bending to her will. She also was one of Prince Usva's instructors and didn't care for the special treatment Prince Pilvi got as the Child of White. So she blackmailed Sinfonia into "conforming" to the disparaging ways of herself and her views towards how the princes should be handled, including that of their respective soul binds.

It created a rift between himself and his youngest nephew that he fears can't ever be repaired, even when his medical complications came to light after passing out in the palace halls one day due to his heart condition, but with so much going on, it all would come to a head eventually - wouldn't it?

Once Aqua Sielu became involved it seemed his life would change forever.

Excuses // Do they try to defend or excuse their past or current actions? What excuses do they bring up, if they do?

This man is the last person who is going to give you an excuse for his actions. It's too the point that he'll take the blame for things that AREN'T his fault.

His situation with Syksy made his whole life fucking complicated beyond belief.

This Situation.

Due to Sinfonia's blood line to the crown, by all rights he shouldn't have soul bound to Prince Usva but as he's not a direct member of the crowned family it didn't break any laws when he did so.

Context:

Lord Huippu = Aurinko's Dad || Lady Hiekkaa = Aurinko's Mother Aurinko = Kumo's Dad / Current King Hiekkaa = Shokki's little sister Shokki = Sinfonia's Father || Tuli = Sinfonia's Mother Tuli = Aurinko's Soul Bind / Music Teacher AKA in a less confusion way. Heikka - Sinfonia's Aunt -> married into the royal family. So Sinfonia is technically royal in truth he's Aurinko's cousin.

This is where the problem happens. Aurinko is 3 years older than Sinfonia, and Sinfonia was born in the palace, so as far as Aurinko is concerned - that's his little brother as they were raised at each other's sides and always together. Baby Aurinko used to even come steal baby Sinfonia and carry him around because "you made him just for me. He's mine."

So in Aurinko and Sinfonia's heads - they're brothers.

And quite frankly no one in the palace was willing to correct them. Just let them be. They weren't causing any harm and if they see each other as brothers so be it.

So the problem is, in the context of Sinfonia being Aurinko's baby brother - he really shouldn't have bound to Usva (his nephew). But he did it anyway. Aurinko (now king) let him do it anyway. If that context held truth by blood then they both would have been breaking the law.

Knowingly.

But they both are aware the brother status is 'adoptive' so they just went with it. They really weren't hurting anything by having Sinfonia teach Usva music, even more so since Sinfonia was forced into early retirement after injuring his wrists from overuse and being near unable to play his violin anymore.

However Syksy - Usva's Government Teacher / Sinfonia's Co-Bind - got her hands on the "they're brothers" information despite the palace doing their best to keep that hush hush and she took it very literal and decided to blackmail Sinfonia with it.

Oh and it worked. Sinfonia struggles with any information involving contracts and politics and the government, so she basically blindsided him with half lies and backed him into a corner to make him believe that if anything happened to the royal family, it would be all his fault for breaking the law for his "own selfish gains".

So she manipulated him for literally over a decade with this. Bullied and harassed him. Orchestrated a plot with Liekki (Usva's medical teacher / Sinfonia's Co-Bind & doctor) and the two of them tried to kill Sinfonia. Both of them were extremely abusive to him, and forced him to do and say things he never would have for any reason otherwise but they had him convinced that if he didn't comply the royal family would be hurt and it'd be all his fault.

And when Sielu finally found out about all this - Sinfonia apologized to him about it. He took and has always taken full responsibility for his actions and the things he's said and the damage he's caused. Even before Sielu knew that he had his hands metaphorically tied behind his back. That he was an asshole by force not choice.

Sinfonia never stopped apologizing and when things went wrong again, he apologized for that too. He will not defend the shit he did when Syksy was blackmailing him and he holds himself 100% responsible for it. He's more likely to tell you he's fine when he's absolutely not.

"It pains me to say how clueless I was but I didn't have an idea they were torturing him to such a degree. I know that Liekki and Sinfonia had their own fair share of problems but I didn't realize the fallout was near deadly. I - have not seen the damage with my own eyes but I have been told that both of them have put hands on the man - on my Setä and that when they did so that it was because he is my Seta.

I can't forgive them for it. He's not even here for me to check on him right now and I'm afraid to call him with the way I snapped at him the last time we spoke. Palo said there has been multiple occurrences that looked like someone put their hands on him. Father said that Sielu said he's found him setting in broken glass and a messy classroom as the aftermath of what I can only assume was a fight.

Setä Sinfonia isn't built for fighting. He has a heart condition. He shouldn't be fighting. Even more so in his own home. I can't believe they would betray us like this. They didn't just betray him, but they betrayed me. I feel like they used me just to get closer to the crown. They used me just to get into a position of power and I - "

"Ugh." She scoffs "Listen to yourself. No one said anything about controlling Sitriini and I don't know where you even got that idea in the first place. Sinfonia is a complicated man and one with a nasty attitude on top of it all. He barks more than bites though and its better if he's just left alone. I don't know how he got his position in the first place. He's certainly not cut out to give our liege what he needs and to help put him on the right path to be able to lead properly when the time comes. I don't know what you're on about but I steer clear of that man most days."

"I already didn't like her with the way she torments Aamunkoitto and Valo. Palo has plenty of nasty things to say about her and when I say torments Valo I mean getting him so riled that his conditions flare and he ends up in bed for the next few days. She's backwards in all of her thoughts and honestly I'm not surprised she's been pushing Orange boy around. She's a fuckin' bitch.

For as much as I despised her ass prior to this encounter, knowing what she's been up to all these years makes me sick. I can't imagine doing to someone what she did to Sinfonia and I'm sure I don't even know the whole story. I know enough and I hope Aurinko rips her bind in half because of it. She doesn't deserve to be bound to Usva with the way she's been acting."

Smaragdin Syksy was Prince Usva's History and Government teacher. She was the fourth bind in his set of supporters, coming into the fold after Opaali Liekki. She bonded well with the prince and had decent relations with his other binds, choosing to favor her company to Liekki and Timantti more often than not.

Her opinions about the state of the government have put her at odds with Nousi Aamunkoitto and Tähtien Valo - and in all honesty most of Prince Pilvi's binds for that matter. She thinks she's protecting Prince Usva by making unwarranted comments about Prince Pilvi's progress and his status as Lady Tiamat's chosen vessel because of this not one of Pilvi's binds care for her and the prince himself has been instructed to stay away from her if he's able.

Within the ranks of her own binds she has a tolerable at best relationship with Sitriini Sinfonia, as she was quick to find out the truth of his relations to the princes and frowns on him heavily for it. She still, however, kept this information to herself. Often pulling it on him in the form of blackmail when he would speak against her in concerns to how they should be interacting with both the princes. She was never above encouraging him to conform lest private information got leaked to the rest of the palace.
