Top surgery notes:

I was nauseous when I first came to, but it faded within an hour or so, and I was able to eat even though the nausea. I was so, so hungry and eating both helped and hurt.

A lot of people say that you’ll be stuck as a t-Rex, but I find that having my arms down (and slightly out) is most comfortable. Moving arms to the side hurts the most, I have to turn in the direction of whatever I’m doing, and bend from the hips if I really need to.

I am far more independent than I thought I would be, but I still can’t do much. For the first few hours I drifted between napping and walking around

My office chair is almost as comfortable as my wedge pillow nap zone, and on that note:

Arms are important. Arm chairs, pillows on the side, just. Try to rest your arms without cutting off the drains if you have them

FINALLY MADE A HEIGHT COMPARISON CHART FOR THE VILLAINS (& gene's squad).... it's been a long time since I've drawn most of them in color so I made some adjustments here and there (archie is still the gen 3/rainbow rocket version)

they weren't originally going to all be wearing the least amount that they'd be comfortable with but. I started looking at a bunch of references and had a ton of fun drawing some different body types,,,,

oh he would be so wonderful about this whole ordeal omg. i could see him mentioning this more casually, but instantly becoming much more serious when your eyes go wide with wonder.

wesker would be so, so thorough with learning this process, perhaps even bringing on the most skilled assistants to ensure absolutely everything is perfect for you. the most perfectly cut incisions deserve only the most artfully sewn stitches.

as someone who's been on the table just before going under for that procedure, seeing his face before falling asleep and knowing you're in the best hands and that it's someone who cares so much sounds like actual heaven.

and just thinking about him being there for aftercare is soooooo ;-;

him getting up with you to help tuck a nice soft fabric between the seams of the surgical binder and your skin when it becomes irritating. making sure you're getting all of your proper medicine, even throwing in the occasional benadryl to ensure you're not itchy from the healing and that you're also getting some sleep. he'll change your gauze and be so, so gentle with applying the proper ointment along your incisions and grafts.

he's so very proud of his flawless job on your chest, but it's the smile on your face that brings him both joy and pride in droves.

I don't get crushes or fall in love. instead, I become obsessed with people. I feel absolute loyalty and devotion to them. I'd do anything they ask without question. it's instinctive and automatic, I don't even think about it. I become their servant and follow them around like a puppy. every minimal attention from them gives me infinite joy.

this is always one sided and everyone eventually gets creeped out or annoyed and leaves. it breaks me every time. yet I can't stop it from happening. I try to hold back but it's almost impossible.

not that I would wish this on anybody, but please tell me I'm not the only one

In this hypothetical, the prosthetics are detachable, able to easily be modified or repaired, even customized for visual or fucntional preferences.

Getting them is about as safe as any other major surgery; certain amount of risk, yadda yadda. There's more details that would sway an answer, if this were something currently going on -- like the cost, can you sub out these prosthetics if they ever halt production, do you need medication to retain them, blah blah-- but, here? This is wish fulfillment. If you have something that hurts, or you wish you could just fix or swap out, you get to have it, just this once.
