5. MD/MS:

Both of them are a 3 years course for medical Graduates (MBBS) that deal with the branches which do not require surgical skills. MD is awarded in both non-clinical as well as clinical branches.
Likewise, the future prospects of MD and MS as medical courses in India are generally same. An individual who completes MS becomes a surgeon whereas the one who takes up MD is a physician. Finally, a surgeon can work in place of a physician with more study of medicine while a physician cannot be a surgeon. In contrast, financially, a surgeon can earn a lot more money than a physician, if he or she is skilled.
The Popular specializations in MS and MD are:
MD:
The obstetrics & Gynecology, Endocrinology, Orthopaedics, Neurology and the Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Paediatric, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Radio diagnosis and the Pathology.
MS:
Pediatric surgery, plastic surgery, cardio-thoracic surgery, Urology, Cardiac surgery, Cosmetic surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Gynecology, Obstetrics and the orthopedics.
So, usually it takes three years to complete the MD or MS but for s super specialization the student needs two years more after MD or MS.
Furthermore, some of the best Medical Courses in India & colleges offering post graduation in surgery/medicine are given below:
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi
Armed Forces Medical College(AFMC), Pune
Christian Medical College(CMC), Vellore
Maulana Azad Medical College(MAMC), Delhi
University College of Medical Sciences and GTB Hospital , Delhi
Sri Ramchandra Medical College and Research Institute(SRMC), Chennai
Seth G S Medical College, Mumbai
Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (AMU), Aligarh
Certainly, apart from them, there are few other medical courses in India which are also gaining popularity these days, some of them are:
Bachelor of Physiotherapy
Bachelor in Unani medicine and surgery

Most noteworthy, medical is a noble profession, no matter which course you opt, but study with full of interest and practice your profession with full honestly, because with medical degrees, you are asked not to work with objects, stationery but with Human body, the most precious wealth of one’s life.

hello, everyone! my name’s leonie and it’s so lovely to be here. this here is my precious little bean mariangel who is a highkey squish obsessed with all things glittery and pink who’s trying to be a #doctor. my discord is ( emeravdes#9932 ) if you’re interested in plotting stuff w/her or just swinging by to chat! i have to go to bed because it’s like... midnight but i’ll be around tomorrow. later today. anywho! here’s more on mariangel! --- @frostfordstart
Tumblr media
full name: mariangel itzel peña
nicknames: mari, mar, angel/angelito (mainly called this via her parents or her grandparents)
birthday: october 20th
current age: twenty two
sexuality: heterosexual, heteroromantic
personality (+): sweet, innocent, compassionate, brave, organized, cheerful, studios, hardworking, honest, grateful
personality (-): nosy, emotional, private, self-concious, assertive, gullible, passive
BRIEF FAM BAM BACKGROUND
mariangel is the youngest and fourth child of victor and marcella peña - both of which have lived in frostford for their entire lives. marcella’s family moved from tulum, mexico when marcella was still a baby and they spent a lot of time travelling around the US to different states before they found their way to frostford by pure change.
however, victor’s family had a bit of a longer story. mariangel’s grandfather - miguel angel - moved to the united states from oaxaca mexico in search of a better life for his family which consisted of his wife, Rosa, and their seven children. one of which was victor. after waiting almost five years for miguel angel to come back to mexico, rosa took matters into her own hands and chose to make the dangerous trip to the united states with her seven children in toe. thus came the peña family settling into frostford and branching out and establishing families of their own.
victor and marcella met while victor was in the army corps of engineers and eventually married and began to have their family. first came rafael and magdalena, followed by the adoption of their third son antonio and lastly the birth of mariangel. (names for her siblings are all placeholders since there’s a wanted connection out for them & calling them ‘my brother’ each time she mentions them would be... chaotic)
the peñas have a bit of a strange dynamic in the sense that some days they act closer than anything in the world whereas there are other days where they actually act like they hate each other. often times this makes mariangel feel like her siblings don’t like her - something she carries to this day.
THE EARLY YEARS, BAY-BEE
you know when a baby is born and they don’t really cry? just are a good baby who just wants to cuddle and be a ray of sunshine to their parents? that was the kind of baby mariangel was. the kind of child she was.
by the time that she was in kindergarten, she was the little girl who would go up to everyone she met and say hello, ask them how their day was going and then proceed to tell them about something she’d done during the day. the friendliest bean with the most infectious spirit.
was totally that little girl who followed around all her older siblings and cousins wanting to play or find out what they were doing. the nosiest nugget tbh.
however, when she turned 6, her parents told her that they were going to be moving and it was essentially something that crushed her heart at such an early age. she didn’t want to leave her friends behind and other people she’d come to know. she threw a whole ass fit the day they had set to move that victor had to find a way to get her tuckered out and asleep in order to get on the way.
little did she know that she’d be living in eight different states for the next ten years
more on that is over HERE.
over the course of the time she was away and bouncing from city to city, state to state, mariangel was actually very lonely? she spent a majority of her childhood without a single friend to call her own because she slowly began to realize that any time she got attached to people, they would soon be moving and she’d have to leave them behind again. so she figured, what was the point when nothing felt genuine? when nobody would even matter after six months to a years time? all she really could do was keep as much contact w/anyone from frostford that still wanted to be her friend.
to make up for the lack of friends, marcella actually chose to put mariangel into dance lessons and eventually into cheerleading so that her daughter would have something that would make her feel like it wasn’t all bad.
however, due to her more isolated nature, she developed a strong love for reading which brought her down the extensive path which made her the hopeless case that she is today. she dreams of things that she could never have, lives in a bubble of dreams never spoken and wants nothing more than to continue to live in that fantasy since sometimes it’s the most excitement she gets in the day.
100000% a hopeless romantic and she blames all the books that she read that made her think that all love was special. will 100% try to play matchmaker if you let her and she’s surprisingly very good at it.
ALONG CAME HIGH SCHOOL
it was when she was 13 and living in pennsyvlania that she had her first ever boyfriend and it was the same person that she dated up until she was about to turn 16 and was told by her father that they were finally moving back to frostford. for good. no more moving, no more fear of losing things.
naturally, mariangel was ECSTATIC.
things were a little hard in the beginning because she didn’t exactly feel like she could connect with any of her classmates who’d grown up together. this left her quiet and shy because she felt like an outsider for quite a long time until one day she had a talk with her mother and proceeded to change it around. she chose to be who she had grown to be and soon enough, the bubbly girl with charm and infectious spirit came to the surface as she lost herself in all the things she loved.
dance, cheerleading, all possible clubs that would work within a set schedule as well as signing up for anything in school that needed volunteers like blood drives, etc. all of this while maintaining her grades as high as possible.
because of all these things, she soon rose among the ranks of high school and earned herself popularity that made her pretty well known. this only became more well known when she chose to befriend people who were considered to be ‘lower on the food chain’ as they say in movies. more importantly, the fact that she was the girl who made it very clear that she wouldn’t hesitate to slap someone if she saw them picking on someone she knew.
actually, she’d do it to anyone who chose to bully people. she tried to avoid it by being stern while maintaining an innocent expression but when push comes to shove, slap goes smack against face!
NOW LETS TALK ‘BOUT BOIS
mariangel had a total of two relationships in high school and they all were kind of led into the ground by herself and not exactly knowing who to pick in terms of who she dated. she’d always go for people who were never as invested in the relationship as she was and didn’t want to put in any effort to see that it became something genuine.
ultimately, in both relationships she ended up breaking her own heart because she had this preconceived idea of what a relationship should be and whenever things started to feel different to that, she just didn’t know how to handle things. which basically made her think that she was just crap at having them.
by the end of high school, mariangel had become someone that was very well known and liked and like said earlier! she was a smart cookie through and through and she was in the top 10% of her graduating class, ranking at a humble spot of #5.
THE COLLEGE YEARS
she could have easily gone to a fancy school since she was offered several scholarships but ultimately, mariangel settled on going to the university of alabama tuscaloosa because she could NOT bring herself to go somewhere far away after essentially doing that all her life.
and it made it easy to go and visit family/friends since the drive wasn’t so horrible.
first thing she did when she got to college? make sure that her roommate was sane.
second thing that she did when she got to college? try out for the university of alabama spirit squad because cheer was very much her life and she wasn’t going to live through those years without being in a cheer uniform.
after all that was settled, mariangel did what any sensible girl that grew up obsessed with elle woods and barbie who wanted the full blown college experience would do; find a sorority that she felt would best work for her. and she did when she found kappa kappa gamma.
but despite being someone that always knew what she wanted to do, mariangel didn’t actually know what she wanted to study when she first got to college because initially, she had thought of making into a nursing program. her advisor told her that biology would be the best route since it fell in line with the medical profession which she was aiming for. within six months, mariangel had actually decided that she wanted to actually go to medical school after watching this documentary about doctors without borders.
after some googling different specialties in pediatrics, she figured at first the she would just be a general pediatrician until she found neonatology aka the doctors that take care and save newborn babies. which is ultimately where she wants to get to in her med school journey.
BUT ALL THAT STUFF ASIDE!
college was a very fun time for mariangel because she was able to do things that she would have never had the chance to do before. she’d always been a goodie two shoes in a sense and she somehow managed to stop caring so much about rules and just live her life.
10/10 spent a lot of time with frat boys and probs hooked up with her fair share until she met one guy who truly made her heart flutter. her one and only college boyfriend whom she dated for just about three years. Things didn’t necessarily end on a high note so it’s just something that mari thinks about to this day and blames herself for it going to hell even though it wasn’t.
PRESENT DAY
the smallest section lol cause there isn’t much to say here
mari is currently finishing her first year of medical school and spends a lot of her extra time studying because she doesn’t plan to put her summer to waste. it was suggested that she focus on remembering all that she has learned and she won’t forget those wise words.
she’s also working at custard’s last time. if she isn’t your favorite employee, then that’s a shame ‘cause then you’re not getting free toppings on her behalf.
she’s worked at custard’s since she was 16 and she thinks about the day where she has to leave to focus on school a lot ‘cause she thinks of olive as a second mom.
FUN FACTS
her name is combination of her mothers name and her grandfathers name - mar + i + angel = mariangel. her middle name itzel is taken from ancient mayan name for the goddess of the moon which also translates to ‘she is a rainbow’.
she has a pet ferret named blossom and she’s her pride and joy. if she doesn’t have blossom in a small loungefly backpack with her tiny head just sitting on her shoulder, blossom is probs being too feisty so she stayed home.
her favorite thing to do when she isn’t studying or hanging out with friends is watching paranomal videos on youtube since she wholeheartedly believes they’re real and nothing will change her mind.
her phone kind of lives on do not disturb since she got into med school and only has it set to put calls through from people she has in her favorites. so tbh if she ever answers your text within 10 minutes, you’re probably very special and she puts a lot of value into those conversations.
THE MOM FRIEND TO ALL TWENTY-SOMETHINGS WILLING TO HAVE ONE. will give you hardcore facts while also trying to wrap you in a blanket. and once she moms you? you’ll never get rid of her.
has a collection of disney themes precious moments figurines & loungefly backpacks. anything disney, she wants it.
you’ll almost always find her wearing some kind of bow or scrunchie in her hair. she quite literally has such a collection that she dedicates a whole drawer in her room just for her scrunchie collection.
she has a weird obsession with legally blonde. please don’t talk to her about that movie if you don’t want her to present a full blow ted talk about both films and the musical.
she is quite literally frostford’s number one source when it comes to tiktok dances and nobody can change my mind. like this girl knows literally every single dance on that app as well as the ones that are done by people just trying to vibe.
WANTED CONNECTIONS
i have a page set up over ( here ) but we’re gonna include some here while we’re at it!
HER SIBLINGS! they’re currently a wanted connection so pls come to me <3
best friends! people that were always there for her and she’s been there for through anything and everything.
high school exes!
that college ex!
people that don’t like her! mari tends to live anyone and everyone but maybe something happened and suddenly no more friendship.
family friends!

RHYS DUBOIS is a 32 year old PROFESSOR that teaches in CONSTITUTIONAL LAW & CONSTITUTIONAL CRIMINAL PROCEDURE. It has been stated that they are +WELL-SPOKEN && +CHARISMATIC, but they can also be -A WORKAHOLIC && -PESSIMISTIC. HE happens to be into MUTUAL MASTURBATION && VOYEURISM, but won’t do CG/L && MEDICAL PLAY. It just so happens that they look like PENN BADGLEY && are HETEROFLEXIBLE!!
Ohai! I’m Ruby, and here is one of my trash children, Rhys. Here’s the down and dirty you’ll need to know when approaching.
Rhys is a New Orleans boy, born and bred. He bleeds purple, green, and gold. Carnival Season is sacred. He wants a second line at his funeral. Jambalaya is a basic food group. He will fight you about the best snoball stand in the city. And it’s spelled “snoball,” not “snowball.” Words are better with -eaux instead of -o. Geaux Saints (who dat!). He’s a Saints fan until he dies.
His father was a pretty wealthy and well-known Louisiana Supreme Court justice. Rhys and his little sister, Rosalie, grew up not wanting for anything, living in the ultra expensive Audubon Park area.
But they had expectations on them. Rosalie was not into them. The little rebel. Rhys was.
Consequently, if someone would like to pick up Rosalie as a character, HMU. Dunno yet if I’ll put up a formal request for her, but yanno.
Rhys mainly has Daddy and Mommy issues. Daddy was never there, but Mommy wasn’t either. Hello nannies. And Rhys had this whole thing about being the man of the house, so it was important to him to protect Rosalie. Rosalie kept running away, getting into trouble, and he would be the one to bail her ass out.
Rhys went to Tulane for undregrad, double majoring in Political Science (general) and Sociology. He graduated with honors.
Rosalie, by the way, went to a year of college and dropped out to live with her shitty boyfriend, who Rhys hated. Rhys couldn’t prove it, but he was pretty sure those bruises on her wrists were not from too-heavy bangles.
Rhys continued on at Tulane for law school. He graduated in the top 10%, basically because he wanted to prove to his professors (substitutes for Mommy and Daddy, no doubt) that he could do it.
Oh. And there was that whole thing where he fell madly in love with his Obligations, and later Successions, professor.
She was pretty adamant about not acting on their mutual attraction, but he couldn’t help it. She was older (only slightly) and all too fucking gorgeous, smart as hell, and he wanted her.
So when Rhys graduated and passed the Louisiana bar shortly after, he returned to school and asked her out. They basically boned for twelve hours straight. After that, they were inseparable. Yay.
Rhys got a job with a well-known criminal defense firm and he was ultra-successful. He believed in the justice system: in order to defend the innocent, you had to defend everyone. Everyone is owed equal protection under the law. Be a fucking decent person and give people a fucking chance. All of that.
He was 27 when he proposed and they got married that year in a small courthouse ceremony.
I am going to put in a formal request for his ex-wife, but HMU if you’d like details. She’s older than him, but doesn’t have to be by much. He’s 32, I’d say she’d need to be 40-45 at the youngest.
Shortly thereafter came the biggest case of his career. He was defending an accused serial rapist and murderer. Only thing was... the guy was innocent. But the Prosecution was fierce (Rhys knew she would be... he went to law school with her after all), and evidently met her burden of proof. Rhys lost the case and his guy was put on death row.
Rhys appealed, but while it was in the process of going through the system, his client was killed by another inmate.
Rhys blamed himself and shit went downhill for him.
Believing that he could have done something, argued something differently, he punished himself by pulling away from everyone he cared about. That included Rosalie. It included his wife, who he’d loved for years. She finally asked him if he wanted a divorce. He said that he did, but even now, he doesn’t know if he meant it, or if he was just in pain.
Regardless, he needed to escape New Orleans. And he needed to escape practice. He found a job opening at a University in Florida. It was close enough to Louisiana that he could be home within a day’s drive if Rosalie needed anything, but it was away from everything else.
Even though he didn’t need to pass the bar to teach, he did take and pass the Florida bar. You know. Just in case.
And now, he’s here.
In private, Rhys is quiet. A little broody. He’s still working through some shit, yanno? When he’s teaching, however, or if out in public, he’s charming. Enthusiastic. He doesn’t want the next generation of attorneys to make the same mistakes that he made, so he was hella excited to bring these classes to the fray.
He’s not much into physical connection anymore, which is why he’s a total voyeur instead. He gets off on watching other people. He doesn’t really make eye contact when he fucks. Doesn’t really kiss people, unless kissed first. He’s the “wham bam thank you ma’am” sort.
He’s heteroflexible in the way that he’d have a threesome and be fine with it. He can watch other men fucking people and find it erotic. Rhys, also, has only been attracted to women and considers himself straight, but... he’s open. Anything is possible.
So HMU for plots or thoughts, or if you just want to screech about how hot Penn Badgley actually is. I’m here for it!

How Trader Joe’s Can Emerge from COVID-19 As The Greatest of All-Time (G.O.A.T.) Grocery Chain
The following post is not a paid promotion or endorsement.
Despite our changed COVID-19 reality, there’s one thing that remains constant…our need for food. While some may depend on takeout or even growing their food, there’s a high likelihood that you or someone in your household will be thinking about, planning for, or venturing out to do some grocery shopping in the near future. Last week, it was time for me to restock on groceries, so I put on my mask and ventured out to one of my favorite grocery store chains, Trader Joe’s. Founded in California in 1967 by a man named Joe, Trader Joe’s has earned a cult-like following over the last decade.
Why do I and so many others love Trader Joe’s so much? I’d say it’s a combination of their high quality one-of-a-kind products, crazy affordable prices that are generally 16% lower than other grocery stores, and customer service with a genuine personal touch. I’ve always been impressed with Trader Joe’s fundamental value proposition based on their products, people, and pricing, but seeing their COVID-19 safety measures during my most recent visit, made me realize that Trader Joe’s has the potential to earn the title of G.O.A.T., greatest grocer of all time.
While some may argue that Trader Joe’s has already reached G.O.A.T. status, I see some room for growth. Below, I go in depth into Trader Joe’s fundamental strengths (Product, People, and Pricing), their new COVID safety measures, and an opportunity for them to emerge from COVID-19 as the greatest grocery store of all time by expanding into minority communities .
Products
You can’t start a discussion about Trader Joe’s without talking about their products. In fact, if you’ve ever heard someone rant about how great Trader Joe’s is, they probably began by talking about an amazing specialty product that can only be purchased at Trader Joe’s. Whether it’s cookie butter (a delicious biscoff-cookie-flavored spread), or a 10-minute frozen bag meal that tastes like your favorite takeout restaurant at a fraction of the price and risk, Trader Joe’s products have become even more vital now that we’re spending so much time at home.
Here are some of my favorite products (Bonus: Click here to download a free Trader Joe’s shopping list I created):
Undeniably Delicious Frozen Foods: In my humble opinion, Trader Joe’s has some of the best frozen foods I’ve ever tasted, and they’re clearly cheaper than frozen items at other grocery stores. Frozen meals are a quick and easy way to make lunch or dinner in minutes with little prep and minimal cleanup. Some of my go-tos include:
Chinese take-out replacements: Mandarin orange chicken, BBQ chicken teriyaki, the mildly sweet and spicy beef and broccoli, and chicken fried rice. I typically serve the first three with minute rice and bam! Dinner or lunch is served.
Indian take-out replacements: Chicken Tikka Masala (just buy it and I promise you’ll thank me later), vegetable panang curry, and butter chicken with basmati rice
Italian take-out replacements: Mushroom and Black Truffle Flatbread (decadent but so damn delicious), roasted vegetable lasagna (a little pricier than other items but also feeds more people), fettuccine with mushrooms, and stacked eggplant parmesan
Hamburger Helpers: If you’re looking for some frozen meat patties to jazz up your ordinary burger, look no further than Trader Joe’s frozen food aisle. From the turkey burgers and chili lime chicken burgers, to the salmon burgers and mahi burgers (which I like to complement with my favorite seafood seasonings or marinades), their frozen burger patty options are the truth!
Desserts: So, I’ve hated chocolate my entire life (Yes, I know it’s weird…), so I haven’t truly been able to enjoy all the amazing frozen desserts Trader Joe’s offers. However, their macarons, which are also found in the frozen aisle, are one of my all-time favorites. They’re $4.99 for a dozen and allow you to imagine yourself enjoying each bite in a quaint little pastry shop an hour outside of Paris. Don’t we need more food like this in our lives right now? Oui. Oui.
Tasty Yet Budget Friendly Wine : I first discovered Trader Joe’s in college when I was introduced to Charles Shaw wine, or ‘2 buck chuck’. Yes, for just $1.99, you could have your pick of a regular sized bottle of decent red or white wine. While my wine taste has evolved since then, Trader Joe’s still has a large collection of inexpensive, yet tasty wines that I enjoy.
Crazy Affordable Organic Fresh Produce: Another area where Trader Joe’s shines is their fresh produce. Not only do they have a good variety of items, but their organic and non-organic fruits and vegetables are also typically cheaper than their competitors. While there are some who say Trader Joe’s produce doesn’t stay fresh as long as other grocers, that hasn’t been my experience to-date.
Snacks and Munchies: It would take multiple posts to describe the variety of chips, popcorns, and dips Trader Joe’s offers, but here are my top 5 absolute must-haves:
Speculoos Cookie Butter: Think about buying a jar of peanut butter only to find out that someone replaced the peanuts with those delicious biscoff cookies they give away on Delta Airline flights. There are so many different ways to enjoy this finger-licking good spread, but my favorite is dripped over apple slices, or fresh strawberries
Restaurant Style Tortilla chips: I’d put Trader Joe’s restaurant style tortilla chips head-to-head against any other grocery store’s tortilla chips. Heat them up in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds and you’d swear they came straight out of your favorite Mexican restaurant.
Roasted Plantain chips: Delicious and a great snack for little people; can easily be paired with guacamole, queso, or any of your favorite dips
Spinach and artichoke dip: While this is technically in the frozen food aisle, I placed it here because it epitomizes the very essence of an appetizer or snack. Warm the dip up in the microwave per instructions on packaging, and garnish with grated parmesan. Serve with pita chips, tortilla chips, or crackers. It’s crazy delicious. Nothing more to say.
Rhubarb and Strawberry soda: So this isn’t a snack per se, but I couldn’t end our product list without shouting out one of my fizzy indulgences and the perfect addition to any mocktail or cocktail. It’s great by itself, and can be used to create a simplified twist on the strawberry mojito. Bottoms up!
Pricing
Beyond products, what makes Trader Joe’s value proposition so compelling, particularly during this time, are its prices. At most grocers, you have to pay a premium for quality; however, at Trader Joe’s, that isn’t always the case. You can easily get quality, uniqueness, and affordability all in one place, and often from one item. Why is that, you ask? 80% of Trader Joe’s products are made for its private label, which means their supply chain costs are much lower, allowing them to pass these cost savings on to consumers.
People
While their products and pricing help Trader Joe’s stand out amongst their competition, many would argue that their strongest attribute is their people. As a proud customer, I would describe Trader Joe’s culture in one word, community. From their friendly cashiers to their crew members passing out samples with a smile, they seem like they’ve cracked the code on how to keep their employees engaged, productive, and seemingly satisfied, which is increasingly comforting and pretty inspiring during times like these.
Safety Precautions
Products, pricing, and people have always been integral to Trader Joe’s value proposition; however, I’ve been extremely impressed by how thoroughly Trader Joe’s has adapted to our “COVID-19 new normal” with updated safety precautions. While all businesses are taking additional precautions to help ensure safety amid the constant threat of COVID-19, Trader Joe’s was one of the few grocery stores that made me feel like they’re taking the precautions because they genuinely care, and not as a check-the-box license to operate. I’m not sure if it’s the fact they limit the number of shoppers inside the store, have a strict separation of clean and used grocery carts, or the sight of crew members walking the aisles wiping down items, but they’ve created a level of safety/security that I’ve rarely felt in public since COVID-19 became a reality.
Path to Greatness
While Trader’s Joe’s value proposition is defined by a combination of superior quality, uniqueness, community, and affordability, for its entire history, Trader Joe’s has been a luxury reserved for the educated, privileged, and disproportionately white subset of America that happens to live in one of the high-income areas where the company sets up shop. But, what if Trader Joe’s opened stores in underserved communities of color, helping to combat the countless food deserts across this country? Not only would this provide families in these communities with access to quality, healthy, and affordable food, it would also provide earners in these communities with practical training on customer-centric management, operations and service. While it may sound a little crazy, if done right and in combination with other policies in support of their crew members’ safety and the broader fight for a more just future, Trader Joe’s could send a powerful message and show that they believe in and stand for something far bigger than just paper and green ink.
I’d like to close on a note of gratitude and action...
Trader Joe’s, I appreciate you. I appreciate your products. I appreciate your crew members, and I appreciate the fact that you’re not charging me an arm, leg, and kidney for a bag of avocados. Most of all, during a time when community and public spaces have become synonymous with danger and illness, I appreciate the added safety, communal solidarity and consciousness I felt when I walked into your store.
So Trader Joe’s, consider this a call to action. I implore you to share your shopping experience of empathy and dignity and demonstration of community and love with people who need it most: people living in food deserts across this country who don’t have access to healthy yet inexpensive organic produce and quick meal options; people who would tremendously value and benefit the jobs, skills and employee experience you offer, and people who, just like you and I, want simply to feel their lives, basic needs, and futures matter. During a time of unprecedented uncertainty and fear, you have a transformative opportunity to model a much-needed form of social innovation that pushes us forward as a country and society by championing equality and community. While it may sound idealistic, I believe we can help create a clearer path for these underserved communities to achieve a more just and hopeful future, one grocery store, one policy, and one person at a time.
