Ok, I don't want to like shame, guilt trip, or take away from the message of the original post. But please brush your teeth before it is too late.
My mom got all of her teeth removed when she was 25 due to rot. My dad at 35. Neither of them brushed their teeth.
I always struggled with brushing my teeth. Mint makes me vomit, which didn't exactly help. I had my front teeth removed at age 22 due to rot. I have crowns now that cost $2000. I still struggle sometimes.
I know it's hard, but it is better to do whatever you can to avoid losing them. Rinse with mouthwash. Or water and baking soda. Floss. It doesn't matter of it's morning or night, once a week, just whenever you can.
I believe in you, I know self care can be hard sometimes. But you can do it!
it's never too late to start brushing your teeth again. i basically never brushed my teeth for a whole 10 years. a decade. A DECADE. i still struggle to brush my teeth once a week, but it all started with brushing my teeth once every few months. so i mean it when i say brushing your teeth once a week, a month, a year, or even a decade, is better than nothing.
and still, nothing is not shameful. it is not immoral to struggle with self care. and it is also not pointless to keep trying. anything you can do, even if its wiping plaque off with a towel, is enough. it is good to take care of yourself however you can, even if it's just trying to muster the will to. reading this post is good, too.
i believe in you and i am proud of you, even in the smallest of steps. it's okay. you can give yourself grace.
#i have to use kids extra sensitive strawberry flavored tootpaste and mouthwash#i still use apps like habitica to reward myself for basic shit like brushing#but trust me you dont want to go through the pain or financial blow of losing your teeth#depression#self care#dental hygiene

I've picked these up from various similar threads overtime:
* If it doesn't have Novamin, [Calcium sodium phosphosilicate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novamin), it won't repair teeth or as well as you'd expect. **EDIT** [List of products containing it](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NovaMin#Products_Containing_NovaMin)
* You brush too hard, really. You should pretend you're polishing a tomato as a judge of how hard to press.
* Electric toothbrushes are beneficial, but mainly because it's easier to instinctively brush lighter (see point#2).
* Floss, for god sake floss. No toothbrush, no matter how expensive or fancy can replicate what flossing does. **EDIT** if you don't want to floss, there are many other solutions - water pick, flossing sticks. Nobody has commented below with a good reason not to floss.
* Same goes for mouthwash. **EDIT** Was mainly a personal preference, but it seems that although it doesn't do anything bad, it's probably not as amazing as advertisements make it. I use it for fresh breath more than anything.
* Oral-B whitening strips are a brandname that works (approx $40). **EDIT** I forgot that this is called "Crest" in the US and other countries.
* Most whitening tootpaste, especially those without Novamin won't produce very noticable results. Novamin helps repair the teeth and adds natural whiteness.
**Final Edit** I don't work for Oral-B, Crest or any Novamin manufacturer.

6 for the music asks?
6. The kind of music you like to cook to
answered but i should mention that lately i’ve been listening to a lot of pink floyd while i cook. everybody’s heard dark side of the moon but i would really recommend the division bell. dragging your brain to ambient rock hell really gets the creative juices flowing.

I wonder what the tea tasted like. Was it something like ambrosia from pjo? Did it taste like home?
Did it taste like summer's cookies on a spring afternoon? Did it taste a little burnt like the first batch Yang made for her all those years ago? Did it taste like coffee with too much sugar and cream? Or did it taste like shitty beacon cafeteria food on a nothing happens kinda day where Ruby got to be Ruby with the people she loves most in the world?
What did the tea that Ruby drank to end everything taste like.
