the air hangs heavy with despondency, somberly quiet save for the occasional cough or groan that punctuates the stillness. while some patients lay in hushed resignation, others shift restlessly, their discomfort evident in the furrow of brows and clenched fists.

tethys helps where she can, gathering bandages and conversing with those in need of companionship. she sits at the bedside of a young boy, gently brushing back the tangled strands of hair from his fevered brow until the little one dozes off.

among the rows of worn faces and weary bodies, a young woman catches her eye. tethys takes note of her slender frame and delicate poise, and her gaze admiringly follows the stranger's crown of silken hair down her back. there's something familiar about the way this woman carries herself. her steps move with fluid grace, while her gestures seem to mirror a subtle rhythm, flowing with a natural cadence.

tethys is careful not to wake the child. she rises slowly, and delicately adjusts the blanket around him before stepping away. with a soft exhale, she makes her way across the room, her footsteps barely audible, until she stands before the blue-haired woman. tenderly, she extends a greeting, fingers lightly brushing the other woman's arm. "have you come to dance for them?" she asks, a warm smile gracing her lips. "i recognize a fellow dancer when i see one."
