I was going to make zaru soba noodles for dinner. Instead I was craving Raisin Bran cereal. Yes, cereal for dinner. It takes the breakfast for dinner thing to an entire different level, like the lower level :D

I tend to buy foods that I’ve never tried before, snacks especially. There’s been a few that I tried and I didn’t like. Good news! I don’t waste the snacks. I just take them into work, and they get eaten. Well, except for those nasty pretzels filled with peanut butter. But they still didn’t go to waste because they were used in one of our team building activities, “Who can pick up the most using chopsticks.” =:p

The forecast for this Friday is 108.

We’re having an employee appreciation event, and guess what day it’s going to be? Ya, on the 108 day. They had options. I voted for ax throwing because it’s an indoor activity. The picnic option won by a landslide. Are people insane? There’s no swimming pool at the park, just trees, grass, and stuff. It keeps getting better. The recruiting director arranged for 4 competitive activities, all of them, fully in the sun. Teams have been already selected. I’m sweating just thinking about it.

On the reading front, I just finished reading C.J. Box’s 13 book, Breaking Point, in the Joe Pickett series. It was a good read. So far, the series hasn’t disappointed. I’m looking forward to reading #14. You can count on a lot of suspense in these series where there’s always a murder or 2. Joe Pickett is a game warden, an honest guy that isn’t hung up on the politics of the bureaucrats and the corruption that run rampant in the government agencies, even at the local sheriffs department. Yet, trouble seems to always find Game Warden Pickett.

It’s my bedtime, folks. I know. You don’t want me to leave, but alas, I must.
