Tony and Pepper Take Italy

Pepper breathed in deeply as they stepped out of the hotel. She had worked through the whole 12 hours of the flight, attempting to get everything in order so that she wouldn’t have to run around and make phone calls when they landed. Meetings were put on hold, security measures enforced at the Malibu house and all emails were set to bounce back if they had anything to do with business. Pepper wanted nothing more than to have a week with Tony where she didn’t have to think about the future of the company. Smiling in the glorious Italian sun, she tapped Tony on the arm and nodded up at the sign pointing them in the direction of the Colosseum. As herds of tourists jostled around them, Pepper instinctively reached for Tony’s hand, not wanting to get lost. “This way,” she called over the noise of the tourists, tugging on his hand. When they were clear of the crowd, she blushed, realizing that she was still clinging to his hand and hurriedly dropping it. “Sorry,” she mumbled.
