hello!!!! i was wondering if you have any fem-presenting aziraphale recs? :) i adore her very much and would love to read more fics about her!
Hi! We have a #female aziraphale tag, so do check that out. Here are more fics to add...
On Your Doorstep by miss_minnelli (E)
“Don’t you think it would be easier to already have a kid before you fall in love?” Crowley asked. “What?” “If you already had a kid, and then you started dating your ideal person, you wouldn’t have to worry about all the drama and hardship of having a kid together and that relationship wouldn’t be tainted.” Zira raised her eyebrows. “So you’re saying you’d rather have kids with someone that you’re not that romantically interested in and then what, break up with them for your dream person?” ... Zira and Crowley, friends since university, are the last two single people in their group of friends. Neither wants to be part of one of those couples whose kids destroy their relationships, so instead of waiting for their perfect matches, Zira and Crowley decide to platonically have a baby together.
Honeysuckle & Heat Waves by pilatesandpinot (E)
Ezera Fell has returned to the town where she’d spent her summers growing up – seaside Tadfield, where the slogan is “Everyday is a Holiday” and the perfect escape for a recent divorcee like herself. But she isn’t just here for holiday or to “get her groove back”; she’s inherited her late aunt Agnes Nutter's bed and breakfast and is determined to restore it to its former glory. She’s consulted the help of the best gardener in town, except there’s one issue: he’s Anthony Crowley, the same man she serendipitously had a one-night stand with while on holiday in Paris. Will the sparks fly now that they’ve been reunited, or fizzle out?
Against Expectations by Blue_Sparkle, summerofspock (E)
After being pressured by their families into a marriage neither of them want, Aziraphale and Crowley resign themselves to an unfulfilling life together. For Aziraphale that means trying to be the dutiful wife she was always taught to be and for Crowley it means hiding an important part of who he is.
Star of the Wooded Mountain by jamgrl (T)
Going back to camp shouldn’t have been hard. Yeah, okay, there was the gender-queer thing and the whole, uh, gendered cabin situation. And, yeah, being a counselor wasn’t going to be the same as being a camper. But Tony loved everything else about camp. Tony loved the woods and the creek and the s’mores. Mostly, though, Tony loved Azira. And they were afraid. That they would be a bad counselor, that Azira would stop liking them. Twelve weeks was a long time, and Tony didn’t know if their life was going to fall together or fall apart.
10,000 Hours by AnnaTheHank (E)
Rich playboy Anthony Crowley has finally broken the last straw. He's been disowned by his grandmother, and turned away by his family. With no money and no where to go, he heads to the old family cabin to lay low until it all blows over. Romance writer A.Z. Fell has been given use of her publisher's cabin to get away from the city and work on her newest book-her first erotica. Neither expected the other to be there, but there they both were. And AZ finds that Crowley's vast knowledge of sex may just make up for her own lacking knowledge when it comes to writing her book.
Within These Castle Walls by christi_writes (E)
Victorian AU. A celebration at an aristocrat’s castle turns deadly with a murder most foul. Paranormal encounters at every dark turn, humans going carnal left and right, and if that stupid Duke puts his hands on Aziraphale one more bloody time, Crowley was going to lose it. -Or- Circa 1880's Victorian Era. Crowley's just woken up from his century nap and the world has changed, including Aziraphale.

Chapter 7
Tumblr media
Warnings: None. (Will however be a 18+ reader book)
Copyright: I do not own any Marvel characters or locations. However, I do own a few OCs like Elizabeth, Katherine, Stacy, and Jessie. I do not condone any copying of this.
You drove in the car along the highway, making your way towards your H/T. You weren't entirely sure why you were going back home, but that was the direction that you were finding yourself driving in.
Your life hadn't been entirely difficult. Your mother and father had always been busy so you rarely saw them. You were mostly raised by teachers, your sports coach, and several summer camp counselors. And of course, they were all doing those jobs for the money.
You and your sister were used to having a rather uncaring life. It wasn't that your parents were directly mean to you. In fact, the few times that you guys actually did something as a family, it was quite fun. But your parents had never really wanted kids, just going along with Government rules.
Things only escalated once you'd entered junior year of High School. Your mother had passed away, which left your dad in a right state of devastation. You hoped you never found out how it felt for your soulmate to die. It was apparently the most painful thing you could ever feel. The only thing that could numb it was if you got lucky enough to have another soulmate.
Still, that was when your dad was around most, but also when you didn't want him to be around. That was when he started the drinking and the hitting. You were lucky, you were almost out of the house. You applied for college in New York and you moved.
Your sister on the other hand had only started High school, which would leave her in your father's care for four more years. That was how you'd ended up being her guardian now.
And now you were going back home with no idea as to why. Maybe to lay some flowers on your mother's grave. Maybe to just get away from this crazy world. You lived in a rather small, isolated town, a place that none of the superheroes had probably ever stepped foot into. Tony could probably buy up the town if he wanted to.
[If you don't live in America, you can use 'West Chester' as your H/T (home town)]
Your phone started to ring. You glanced over at it. It was Y/S/N.
You sighed. What were the possible chances that they already knew you were gone and were waiting for you to pick up the phone?
Probably high.
You pushed the button anyways. "Y/S/N, isn't it past your bed time?"
"Funny. Come home." Y/S/N said.
"I will." You said. "Just. . . went for a drive."
"How much longer do you think you'll be out?" Y/S/N asked with a sigh. You couldn't hear anyone else on the other side of the phone. Maybe you were wrong about the others listening in. Or maybe they didn't know you were gone yet and only she did.
"I don't know. I kind've need a break."
"If it makes you feel better, you misunderstood the conversation between Steve, Bucky, and Natasha. They were talking about a training incident and how everything was disastrous afterwards. When they said just the three of them, they were talking about them being the only trainers since they wouldn't get hurt easily if there was another incident."
You were silent for a moment. You knew your sister would never lie to you, so you really wanted to believe her.
"Thanks. It just. . . sometimes my head. . . I just jump to the worst case scenario, you know? Especially since. . ."
"Especially since they're all extremely famous superheroes that the world either absolutely loves or completely hates and we're just a couple of nobodies from a small town?" Y/S/N finished for you.
"Exactly. God, I don't. . . I don't know how to be worthy of them." You said, feelings crashing down on you. "I mean, I love all of them so much but. . . how do I. . ."
"You just be you sister." Y/S/N said encouragingly. "You're holding back your personality when you're with them. Just be yourself. You don't have to change yourself. Just be the one."
"Why can't you be the bigger sister?" You asked with a laugh.
"Because now I can gloat the fact that I'm smarter than you even though I'm younger." She laughed on the other side of the phone. "But please come home soon, okay? I really don't like the idea of you being out there by yourself again."
"Yeah, stupid me. I don't know what I'm doing anymore." You laughed. "I'll be home soon. Maybe bring donuts or something back. I'm craving sugar."
"You're always craving sugar, that's nothing new." Y/S/N said and you could practically picture her rolling her eyes. "See you soon."
"See you soon." You said, taking the off ramp so that you could turn around and head back to Avengers tower.
You sighed, going through a Dunkin' Donuts, before heading back to the Avengers Tower. You sat in the parking lot with the rest of Tony's fancy cars, tapping your fingers on the donut box. Finally, with another sigh, you climbed out of the car and headed up to the main part of the tower.
"Y/N!" Clint shouted, throwing his arms around you before you'd even gotten into the tower.
You hugged him back with one arm to keep from dropping the donut box. "Hey Clint."
"Maybe some warning next time before you leave." Loki said, stalking over to kiss the side of your head.
"Sorry. I just needed a breather." You said.
"Understandable. But try not doing the experiment of whether or not a God can have a heart attack." Loki continued.
You blushed a little his words.
"Hey." Steve said, looking slightly awkward, "Can I talk to you in private?"
You blushed, "Er- yeah." Clint snatched the box of donuts, "DONUTS!" He shouted, running for the vents like a little kid. Sam went running after him while you followed Steve into another room where Bucky was already waiting.
Bucky scooped you up into his arms, pressing a sweet kiss to your cheek. "Sorry doll."
"When we were talking in the hall-" Steve started but you shook your head.
"It's fine. I overreacted. It's not your fault or anything. Besides, my sister already filled me in about everything." You said. "I shouldn't have just left. It's. . . just a bit of a reflex. When things get tough I choose flight as my natural response. Sorry for worrying you guys."
Without putting you back down on the floor, Bucky passed you like a little kid to Steve who held you in his arms, his lips resting on the top of your head. "I love you Y/N." Steve said quietly.
"I love you too Stevie." You mumbled, before pressing your lips to his.
It was the first kiss you'd had with any of your soulmates and it was Earth-shattering. His lips were full, with force behind them as he kissed back with zero hesitation. His arms tightened on your body and you wrapped your arms around his neck to kiss him back.
Bucky cleared his throat jokingly behind you two. You pulled away first, gasping for air quietly while Steve chuckled, passing you back to Bucky.
"You alright doll?" Bucky asked, sounding amused.
"A little dizzy. Can I kiss you?" You mumbled.
Bucky pressed his lips to yours sweetly, though not as long as Steve did, but just as passionate.
"Am I missing something?" Sam's voice asked behind us as Bucky put you back on your feet. You turned to see Sam was holding your favorite flavor donut. He raised an eyebrow, a smirk curling on his face. "Want this? Come get it."
You stalked over to him, moving to grab the donut before he raised his hand way above your head. He smirked.
You reached up, grabbing his face to bring him down and kissed him. His entire body relaxed before he lowered both hands, one coming to rest in your hair. Then your hand snatched the donut out of his hand before you spun away, dancing away from him, biting into the donut.
"Delicious." You teased.
"You're a terrible tease." Sam pouted as you finished off the donut. "Alright, now you're getting tickles."
You squealed as he darted towards you. "Bucky!"
Bucky laughed. "You're on your own. I don't want to get on Sam's bad side."
You ran out the door, "Loki!"
Loki looked up as you raced out of the room. "Save me!" You squealed with Sam hot on your heels.
Before you could even reach Loki though, you found yourself falling through an orange portal and then landing in a pair of arms.
Stephen pulled you to his chest on his lap. Every time Sam tried getting close, he kept getting pushed back with a portal.
"Oh come on man!" Sam complained after the fourth time.
Stephen chuckled. You looked up at him. He looked a little tired. You snuggled into his shoulder as things started to calm down and everyone started to talk.
Eventually, Stephen rearranged your body so that your feet and legs were in Tony's lap. Tony's hands rubbed calming circles on your knees.
"I'm sorry for leaving." You mumbled so that only Stephen and Tony could hear you. "It was just. . . a bit much with the kidnapping and then the misunderstanding. It just got to my head. But I shouldn't have acted the way I did. Sorry."
"It's alright sweetheart." Tony said, half asleep on Stephen's shoulder. "We all react in ways we wish we didn't. We just move forward. Just make sure to text or let one of us know. Just want you to be sleep. I mean safe."
You giggled quietly as Stephen chuckled, putting an arm around Tony's shoulder to pull him closer to himself. "You can both go to sleep now."
You closed your eyes, resting your head on Stephen's shoulder again. You felt warmth settle around your shoulders and found that he'd gotten a blanket from somewhere to keep you warm. You smiled before you fell fast asleep.

I'm watching the Craig of The Creek movie rn, and oh my God, MY SCOUT BABIES IT'S THEM.
Spoilers for Craig Before The Creek below:
WHOSE THAT GURL WITH THEM IS SHE LIKE LIKE AN OLDER SISTER/MENTOR TO THEM. OKAY, SO SHE'S CLEARLY A FELLOW SCOUT AND WOULD BE LIKE A MENTOR TOWARDS THEM.
Based on how Boris held her hand and the way Jason smiled at her comment towards getting the friend group name correct, that could be to imply they were rather close to her. Especially Boris. I doubt they're related by blood or law. However, I do think they had a big sister bond with her when they became scouts. According to Google, you can be a scout as young as kindergarten to 5th grade, and the oldest you can be a scout is 18.
Tumblr media
My headcanon is that she is the reason why the scouts started going to the creek, and she would show them around it and guide them, I get a very strong older sister vibe from her. Much like Mari from Omori, let's hope she didn't play the piano...
I don't know how many years the movie takes place before the movie (at least not yet). However, I stirred up some guesses. Jason seems to be 10-11 in the show like Craig, so based on how young the scouts look, my guess will have to be that they are 6-7 years old (possibly 8 years old for Boris). So, 3-4 years before the show.
Imo, Jason seems to be happier in that scene, and in my opinion, Jason in the show isn't a very happy child if we exclude certain scenes. So, assuming the theory that Jason's mother is dead is true, we can assume the movie takes place before the tragedy.
In conclusion, this is what I stirred up for Jason (after the movie and before the show): I still have my headcanon that Jason's mother cheated on Jason's father, rooting their divorce. Jason's clearly upset by this as he begins seeing his mother a less, and his father is growing distant. However, he still had the girl we see in the movie for guidance and comfort. I do think that Jason was still pretty lonely in his childhood, so when his parents weren't around, he had her to act as an older sister for him.
But then, tragedy strikes, and Jason's mother is dead. Life begins to suck more for Jason, he now lives with just his dad and now he's straight up ignoring him and only remembers he exists in order to brag about Jason's achievements as a Forest Scout and to top it off he drags in Jason's step mother. And she clearly doesn't like him as much.
But at least he still has-
Oh, she's leaving too.
Jason's sister figure ages out of being a scout and leaves, leaving him to handle his new home situation.
I still think that Boris and the girl were the closest to each other and meant the most to each other. I think she loved them like little brothers and she loved showing around the new Forest Scouts and showing them the ropes. But Jason, Boris, and Tony stuck out to her THE MOST. She acted as an older sister to the younger scouts and maybe even stood up for them when the fellow older scouts were teasing them. She loved the scouts like little brothers, but time caught up with her, and she could no longer be a scout.
I love overanalyzing so much, you have no idea. I missed my scouts so much but now that they're back I can do SO MUCH WITH THEM NOW AHH
Also, do not think I didn't see the girl and (present) Tony having similar hats. Imma just go crazy with that and make the headcanon that she gave Tony that hat when she left. (I know her hat is a little different, but let me have fun).
And another thing, maybe she's the camp counselor we see in Camper On The Run. They have a lot of physical similarities, I need to see the episode again after watching the movie.
Edit:Just got done watching the movie, and the credits confirm that girl is the woman we see looking for Roxy in Camper On The Run and that she was indeed a fellow scout. Shannon is credited as Shannon the Scout rather than just Shannon. So, this could be a lead for my theory/headcanon being true. Someone on the COTC subreddit said that in the movie, Kelsey says she is in the second grade, and she is 9 in the show, so that would mean that the movie takes place 2 years before the show.
Now, let's get back to Shannon with this new information. The youngest to become a camp counselor is 16 and when I googled the age you can no longer be a scout I got multiple answers, but the most common one is 18. So we are safe to assume that Shannon left at 17-18 aka the estimate for when a Junior Forest Scout can no longer be a scout. I assume Shannon is 15-16 at the time of the movie and left at 17-18. So we can assume Shannon is probably 18-20 at the time of Camper On The Run.
Since she went to the creek, I wonder if she got to see Boris, Tony, and Jason again briefly. I NEED SOMEONE TO WRITE A FIC WITH ALL THEM PLEASE.

Editing The Lost Titans
I get asks about writing advice/craft/tips occasionally, and I always feel a little inadequate when I answer them. While I try to be very disciplined and methodical about my original writing, when it comes to fic, it's something I do for fun and for free, so my method is mainly slapping my hands on the keyboard like a seal until self-indulgence comes out. It's rare that I outline fic or make significant edits, so it's hard for me to point to specific examples.
However! While I was writing The Lost TItans, I did a bunch of major edits - throwing away entire scenes, revising large chunks, adding an entire chapter after the first draft was done. More importantly, all of those edits had really clear reasons they needed to be made, rather than me going "Eh...it's just not right," which means I can actually explain my thought process without just waving a hand vaguely in the direction of the vibes. So I thought I'd write about what edits I made and why, in case it's interesting or useful to anyone. (And if not, who doesn't like navel gazing?)
The original opening scene was entirely different. It served the same purpose - it was still a dream showing the Titans Red world - but instead of all the Titans fighting the HIVE, it was Jason having lunch on the Star City University campus with Toni and Grant. Then, just as in the finished fic, Jason wakes up at Roy's house and talks about the dream over breakfast.
Now don't get me wrong, I loved writing that original opening scene. I love Toni and Grant, I was already invested in this alternate timeline, so getting to play with these characters interacting was super fun for me.
But it wouldn't have been fun for anyone else. Most of my readers wouldn't know who Toni and Grant were, and literally no one would be invested in their relationships with Jason, because I was inventing those out of whole cloth. Also, because the other four members of the team weren't there, it was just tons of exposition of who these characters were, what their team history was, etc. etc. Rose's joke about Roy being like a cool camp counselor was originally from this scene, but because Rose isn't in the scene, it's a joke being exposited rather than told. There was nothing to engage a reader who wasn't me, and also a lot of what was being shown in the scene - that these characters attended the same college - wasn't necessary information (as you can tell by the fact that in the final fic, that isn't even true).
So I cut the scene entirely and replaced it with the opening fight scene. (And obviously made the necessary edits to the subsequent conversation with Roy.) It's much more high energy, and more importantly: it gets the whole team on the page, it shows that they are a team rather than just telling you, and hopefully the banter gets you invested in their dynamic. They're pals being goofy together! I sure hope these are real relationships and not Hank Hall's weird manipulative RPF!
2. The third scene, dinner at Ollie's, originally opened with Roy, Lian, and Jason arriving at Ollie's and all the different Arrowfamily members getting little bits of dialogue or whatever before it was supposed to cut to the flashback of Jason butting heads with Bruce in Gotham. I was actually in the middle of this scene and stalled out for a while before I realized I needed to a) scrap the opening scene like I mentioned above and b) scrap this one, too. Often when I find I'm just stuck and not going anywhere, it's for reasons like this - the scene I'm writing isn't the right one.
In this case, it was similar to the Grant and Toni scene above - I was having a great time writing the Arrowfam, but the scene wasn't actually contributing anything to the fic. The point of this entire sequence was to show Jason's fraught relationship with his own family, and hint that Connor was experiencing the same dreams as Jason. Random banter with Mia or whoever was just getting in the way of the crucial information. I cleared all of the Arrowfamily stuff out of the beginning of this sequence, jumped straight to Gotham, and then used the birthday cake scene to contrast Jason's relationship with the Bats to his relationship with the Arrows, as well as drop that Connor hint.
I want to be really clear here, because I feel like people get defensive about the idea of cutting scenes that "aren't doing anything" or "don't move the plot forward." I didn't cut these scenes because they were quiet or character-driven. Jason and Roy having breakfast is quiet and character-driven. The whole fic is character-driven. I cut the scenes that I cut because they literally served zero purpose except having various characters go "Hello, I exist and I have a relationship to Jason." I replaced them with scenes that did that, and also moved the plot forward, and also made you care about those relationships, and also were fun to read. Please don't feel bad for those scenes because they got cut; they are a collection of words and don't have feelings.
3. The scene where Rose rescues Jason and Connor from Sudden Death got I would say a medium level of revision, in that the beats are all the same but they weren't originally fighting Sudden Death. Initially I just had them dealing with two members from opposite sides of a gang war, and the scene was pretty terrible but it got me where I needed to be, so I left it and finished the first draft of the whole fic.
When I went back in revisions, I realized that in using the gang war hook, I was once again spending time on something - in this case, the intricacies of crime in Star City - that had nothing to do with the fic. This is an easy trap to fall into: I needed to introduce Rose in a fun, badass way, while Jason and Connor were already hanging out, so having her save them while they were on patrol was perfect. It didn't matter who they were fighting, so I put in some generic goons.
But then I had to justify why said goons required three superheroes (four, if you count Roy) to defeat them, and also set up why they were there in the first place, and it just became a long derailment from the story I was trying to tell, with nothing inherently entertaining about it to justify it.
Swapping the goons for Sudden Death meant I could significantly streamline the "why" of the scene: he's a supervillain doing supervillain shit, case closed (although there's still a nod to him working with Brick, a Star City crime lord, to explain why he's in town). His dumb surfer shtick is more entertaining to read than generic goon dialogue. And he's a Hawk and Dove villain, which meant the scene served three purposes now: giving Rose a grand entrance, humor, and foreshadowing. Boom.
4. The scene where Jason and Roy kiss got a pretty thorough second pass. This one is the least helpful one to talk about, I think, because it really was just honing the vibes. I wanted to increase the tension between them, that slow pull drawing them closer, so I put in more about their respective positioning in the room, the way the room looks and feels, little physical details of Roy. If I make the setting more palpable, I make the tension more palpable - or at least, that's the theory I'm working with here.
5. The climax got a MAJOR overhaul. Initially, Hank returned Roy and took him away again, Jason had the team attack him, and there was a whole thing with the team fruitlessly fighting against all these hypertime variants of Hank. Only then did Koryak suggest they stay in the Titans Red universe.
I'd written it that way because...well, it was a superhero fic, it felt like it needed some kind of physical confrontation at the end. But this version of Hank is so powerful that there wasn't actually anything the Titans could do, which made the fight not particularly engaging. It also didn't really make sense for him to be attacked by Koryak, Grant, and Eddie, who were kind of on his side, or Jason, who was torn.
Instead, I nixed the physical fight, and made the actual conflict between the team members, which is the conflict that really matters. I also made that fight much more painful. The argument was already there in the first draft, but the truly cruel lines - Koryak's comment about Rose's mom, what Grant says to Toni - came in the second pass. Because the stakes here aren't really whether they can beat Hank; it's their friendship, and the balance between what they give up by going home, and what they give up by staying in the dream. I needed that decision to hurt, and failing to punch Hank Hall in the face wouldn't accomplish that.
6. I essentially added an entire chapter in revisions. Originally the fic went: Eddie sacrifices himself -> quick paragraph sending everyone home -> Jason and Roy get together -> team reassembles to rescue Eddie. It felt rushed and completely unsatisfying. I had been focused on resolving the plot points directly involving Jason, because he's the POV character, but I'd spent so long on all of the various team relationships that I had to at least give each character a proper send-off.
So I added the scene at the JSA brownstone. I let Grant and Toni make up, gave Grant his happy ending, and hinted at Toni's. I gave Koryak and Rose exit lines, and hinted that Jason thinks of Connor as family and part of what "home" means. I added the Tim scene because I needed to balance the beginning of the fic, and because if Jason was making the choice to return to a world with a fraught family dynamic, I needed to show that dynamic on page. I was worried that it would feel like I was drawing out the end too long after the Big Bad was defeated, but I think all of those scenes feel necessary and (hopefully) healing.
Anyway, hopefully this was interesting and maybe helpful! I find craft super interesting but it can be hard to talk about in concrete ways, so I wanted to get all this down on (digital) paper as clear examples I could point to when people ask.

I am struggling to keep my eyes open. I am ridiculously tired. I did not get much sleep last night and was just a little tired all day. It was not a bad day though and was a good way to end the week.
When I woke up this morning after only sleeping 4 hours I didn't feel to horrible. At least when it came to being tired, actually feeling I was so wildly hot. 105 feels like heat. And I'm lucky to mostly be in the shade but it was so so stupidly hot.
Before it got to hot I would spend a half hour collecting berries to fill a jar. It was fun. I tried to remember the rule for foragers about leaving some for other. I also went for manly ones that I didn't think the campers would access. More off the beaten path ones. And they are always the most beautiful color.
I would hang in my hammock while I waited for my first group. It was a little damp from the rain and smelled a little musty but it was fine. I just wanted to cool down.
At 920 I went to sit inside to wait for my group. But they never came. I felt really annoyed after waiting 25 minutes I called their villager director and they gave me a weird attitude about checking.
Tony would come up at 1005 and let me know that the group was still coming and I laughed out loud. I would barely get through the instruction in that time! He agreed with me after seeing what the project was. And would tell the girls to not bother coming to arts and crafts. I felt bad but there was just no way I could make it work.
So I wouldn't have a group until 1030. And that group was great. Girls. Made the lizards. We're sweet. And I was just happy they were having fun.
Lunch was stressful. The SSCs were tubing so they weren't there to serve the meal. The ropes staff would jump right in. I would get permission to get mayo and would make an egg salad and potato chip sandwich. I ate out side and felt a little embarrassed when Aaron called me over and I was a little snippy (because I was so hot) but he was offering me some birthday cake. Which was really nice. I would have loved cake but my teeth were bring a little bit mainly I was worried it wouldn't make me feel nice. Though I would have loved the cake but I still said no.
Because I was on a mission. I had heard a rumor that came had gotten us swag. Specifically a fake Stanley style cup. There were multiple colors and I needed the light blue/purple one so bad.
So I got right to the office. Got a big hug from Heather. Who asked if I still work there after barely seeing me all week but I counted that every time I came by she was busy!!
Soon though Alexi would direct me to the gator next time the office or get my swag. A new fanny pack (that I'm giving to Jess), a fan, a note book, a flash light, and the cup! I got one of the last of the light blue/purple. I was so happy.
Ray, who was handing out the swag, had me sign off that I picked up my stuff. And then it was back to art to chill.
I had three more groups. Two day camp and the tipis kids. And it was fun. The day camp were very sweet and tired very hard. The one group was day camp two and I wasnt originally going to have them do bead lizards and was a little caught off guard when they wanted to do them.
And so with the help of the counselor we would get every little baby a bead lizard to take home. Apparently there has been some coveting over the project because of different patterns and colors. Pretty cool that they liked this product so much.
Finally it was tipis. They would be all over the place, in a good way. I had been finishing with day camp 2 when they got in and because tipis is great they just waiting inside and started working on stuff without me.
But I would get the little kids finished and sent off. And jumped into showing the ones who wanted to know how to make bead lizards and having cats with others. I had two girls learning how to make a lanyard out of gimp string. I set them up to watch a video and then would figure it would pretty quickly. I was very proud.
I would eat them go through my get rid of pile clothes. And they all helped clean up and pack up the materials. I was very happy.
I would spend the next half hour or so, after saying goodbye to the group, prepping for next week's project. Print making on 3 ways. I have high hopes because it's been so good in the past but you never know.
It was a really easy drive home after that. I would pack some snacks for the market tomorrow and my two bags. And would be home by 430.
I was already struggling to keep my eyes open on the road but I did it. And got home before I killed myself. I would check on all the animals. Cleaned some snails out of the frog tank. The two remaining frogs after the loss of one of the toast brothers.
After finishing some chores and taking showers, me and James would go for a walk when they got home. Over to CVS to see if they had a better wrist brace for me because I need something more specific. And then we went to the pizza place. Where I ordered manicotti and fries and James got a burger.
Walking home was though felt like death. It was so impossibly hot in the sun. The barely 10 walk was going to kill me.
When we got home I went to lay in our room. And James would bring food and it was good. But tasted almost like curry?? Confusing but not bad. The garlic bread tastes really good but a different texture then expected. The fries were excellent. And I got a strawberry Dr pepper that was ice cold and it was great.
I've spent the rest of this evening lounging and eating to many snacks and trying to fight your eyes to stay open .
But I think I will let myself sleep now. I have a big market tomorrow and I'm really excited but also really nervous. So wish me luck. I love you all. Goodnight!!

Girl Back There Valentine's Day Self-Rec List
I've been kind of going through it with my physical and mental health over the last several months. I haven't been doing a whole lot of creating as a result. I attempted to do something for Valentine's Day, a ficlet, a drabble, a moodboard, something, but I've been lacking the time and motivation.
While I'm working on not letting that get me down, I thought I would at least do a self-rec list to put out work that I have done in hopes that I will get back to my creating ways someday. I've only written one fic that is Valentine's Day themed, but I do have a few soft, squishy fics for you to enjoy the holiday with.
A Holiday More Meaningless than President’s Day (Bucky Barnes/Clint Barton, Rated M, 5k)
Clint has a minor problem. Despite seeing all the advertisements and heart decorations everywhere, Clint hasn’t thought about Valentine’s Day. Now he is wondering if the Russian spy/assassin/all-around-badass he has been secretly banging like a faulty screen door for the last few months wants to celebrate the holiday. Since Bucky wants to keep their thing a secret, does that mean he doesn't want to celebrate? Would Bucky be upset if Clint treated today as a normal Sunday? Does Clint want to treat today as a normal Sunday? And even if Bucky does acknowledge the holiday, how does one handle this day with a fuck-buddy? Clint is nowhere near psychologically mature enough to handle these things.
Sometime, anytime, sugar me sweet (Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers, Rated M, 6.2k)
Bucky doesn’t know how his mother managed to Jedi mind trick him into dropping off Becca at summer camp this year, but she somehow did it. Despite his grumpiness at the unreasonable hour in which he was wrenched from his nice and cozy bed, Bucky is glad for this time with his little sister. Becca spends their time talking about the activities she got to do last summer that she hopes will be back again this year, all of which was organized by Steve Rogers. After she came home from Camp Marvel last year, all Becca could talk about was Steve Rogers, one of the counselors for her team, The Howlies. Steve Rogers was an amazing artist. Steve Rogers participates in all of the competitions despite his asthma, scoliosis, heart arrhythmia, and various other medical issues. Steve Rogers totally drinks his respect women juice. Bucky would be worried about his sister may be developing a crush on this Steve guy, but after meeting him, Bucky is more preoccupied with the crush he's developing on Steve. So preoccupied in fact, he ends up signing on to be a camp counselor for the summer.
The Sunrises in Wakanda (Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers, Rated G, 2.8k)
The sunsets in Wakanda are unrivaled if you ask anyone lucky enough to see them and Bucky agrees. They are truly spectacular, but Bucky prefers the sunrises. The start of a new day in this life he managed to carve for himself since the fall of Hydra.
(More after the cut)
In a room full of art, I'd still stare at you (Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers, Rated E, 9.6k)
The blond grabs his chest and throws his head back, laughing with his whole body. Bucky can hear the sound from where he is across the gallery. The sound is far deeper than Bucky could have anticipated on a man that small. Bucky can feel the sides of his mouth curl upwards at hearing that laugh. As if his thoughts called out to him, the blond looks over and catches Bucky staring. Bucky should look away, he’s being rude and creepy, but he can’t. Those startling blue eyes have him snared.
Animal Husband(ry) (Steve Rogers/Tony Stark, Rated T, 1.2k)
Ear scratches, man, they are the best.
Vibe Check (Steve Rogers/Tony Stark, Rated T, 1.1k)
Harley and Peter worked too hard to get their dads together for Tony to forget to give Steve flowers.
Love You Latte (Clint Barton/Phil Coulson, Rated T, ≤1000)
Clint’s favorite customer strolls in at a quarter to eight. Exactly on time and looking as delicious as ever with the no tie, open collar look. It nearly leaves Clint tongue tied.
Coming Home (And Finding You) (Clint Barton/Phil Coulson, Rated T, 1.4k)
Phil has a rough mission. When he gets home, Clint has all of Phil’s favorites ready.
The Universe is Ridiculous (Clint Barton/Phil Coulson, Rated T, 1.3k)
Phil should know better and be careful about what he asks for. Or at least be very specific as to what he asks for. The Universe has a wicked sense of humor and will likely do exactly as wished.

Sunburns and Scraped Knees
frank iero x male reader
summary: after being signed up as a camp counselor against his will, he couldn't help but be angry. that was until he met Y/n.
genre: fluff?
inspired by: picture i found of a summer camp
word count: 2.6k
A/N: i have never been to summer camp. i refused to do research on this
Tumblr media
The counselors were supposed to be there a full week before the campers. He knew that much, as his mother had read the pamphlet to him at dinner one night. They were supposed to help set up for the campers, which he thought was incredibly stupid. Shouldn't the adults have already done that before anyone got there?
He had the right to be upset, sweat on his forehead gluing his hair to his skin, his shirt clinging to his body, all because he was walking oars to the lake. They weren't even that heavy; it was the sun. The sun beating down on him was causing him to heat up, slicking his body with sweat.
When he got to the lake, he dumped the oars on the ground and bent over, placing his hands on his knees. He needed to take a break. He picked his head up, searching for the guy who was in charge of the people helping fix up the lake equipment. What was his name? Something along the lines of Toby. Maybe Tony? Who knows.
When Frank's eyes landed on the male, he stood up and ran over to him. As soon as he reached him, the man stopped yelling at a guy in a Journey shirt who was near the canoes and gave him a toothy smile. Frank knew he wouldn't like the guy. He seemed to have a fake cheery attitude.
"Hey, Frank! What's up?"
"Could I get a break? I carried over all the oars in the shed."
He wasn't technically wrong. As much as he hated it, he had finished the job. The less they complained about him not doing his work, the sooner he could leave. Well, not true. He had to leave with all the counselors. But maybe the would go easy on him while he was there.
Toby/Tony looked over Frank (how annoying) to check if he was telling the truth. There was, in fact, a pile of oars.
"Yeah, alright. Go to your cabin if you want a real break. Lounge around, and someone's gonna ask you do to something. Go out to help when you've gotten the break you need."
"Thanks."
With that out of the way, he ran off to the path leading up the hill; back to camp. He got halfway up, and then heard a girl scream and he turned his head towards the noise. Taking his eyes off the path for even two seconds led to him tripping.
He pulled himself into sitting position. Checking himself over, he could see he scraped his knee. Bad enough the skin was gone in the spot and there were small beads of blood, but not bad enough to see the camp nurse. He could get some Neosporin to put on it and then slap on a band-aid.
He limped back to the cabins and looked around. They were all animal themed; what a stupid concept. They made the boys the more dangerous animals, and the girls the more gentle creatures. What bullshit. He hated how it was aimed for children, even though it was a camp for children. Whatever. Where was his cabin again? If he remembered correctly, he was in the eagle cabin. Taking a look at all the boy cabins, he spotted the badger cabin, and then the eagle cabin next to it.
Opening the door, he stepped in and closed it behind him. He walked over to the door that led to the counselor bedroom. He was right; he was in the eagle cabin. His belongings were both on the bench near the window and the top bunk. There were things that clearly belonged to another human on the bottom bunk, but no sign of anyone being in there.
Frank let out a sigh of relief for some alone time, before plopping down on the bench. He couldn't believe his luck. First day even being there, and his arms were sore and he messed up his knee.
He sat there for however long with his eyes closed, before he heard the door open. He opened his eyes, only to be met with a guy who seemed around his age. The boy stared back at him, seemingly startled by him being there.
"Oh, was I interrupting something? Sorry if I was. I'm guessing you're the other counselor for this cabin? The name's Y/n."
"Frank."
Y/n nodded and then stood there for a moment. He then awkwardly walked over to the bunk and rummaged through his stuff, before grabbing a book and flopping onto the bed. He started reading, and Frank just stared at him for a moment.
"Can I help you?"
"Excuse me?"
"You were staring at me?"
Frank cleared his throat and cast his eyes down to his knees.
"My bad. Must have spa-"
"Oh, are you okay? I didn't even notice."
Frank cast a confused glance to the boy who was suddenly standing up and crouching down in front of him. He sent up a look saying 'may I?' and proceeded to grab his knee when Frank nodded.
Frank let out a hiss, and Y/n stopped squeezing so hard. He then stood up, Frank's eyes following him.
"Do you want me to get the nurse, or should I check under the sink for band-aids?"
"Check under the sink. It's not serious enough for the nurse to get involved."
Y/n nodded and headed out of the room, walking into the campers' bedroom of the cabin. Y/n must take his job as counselor seriously.
When Y/n re-entered the room, Frank cast his eyes to the ground. When the former finished putting the band-aid on, Frank muttered a 'thank you', seemingly not being heard by the other boy.
Y/n walked back over to the bunk and got into his previous position, book in hand.
"So, if we're gonna be working together we might as well get to.. know each other."
The boy on the bed looked up and gave Frank a curious look.
"I mean, how old are you? You got a favorite color?"
"What are we, first graders? Don't ask baby questions like those, Frank."
That had the mentioned male raise his eyebrows.
"What?"
Y/n sat up, tucking the book back into his bag. He moved to sit on the edge of the bed and shot Frank a confused look.
"Asking me my favorite color, really? I'm sixteen. You?"
"Sixteen as well. I'll be seventeen in October."
"Cool. Do you actually listen to them, or is that your dads shirt?"
Frank looked down, trying to remember what shirt he was wearing. Huh. Misfits.
"Yes, I listen to them. Unlike you're suggestions, I'm not a first grader."
Y/n grinned at Frank, and the latter felt a weird feeling grace his stomach.
"Are they your favorite?"
"No, Black Flag takes that title. Love their stuff. You got a favorite band?"
"(insert favorite band). Like you said, love their stuff."
Before either of the boys knew it, they had spent a good chunk of the afternoon conversing about random things. Turns out Y/n wasn't really here on his own will either. He needs credits for school, and this would give him enough to graduate. As it also turns out, Frank kind of likes Y/n. He wasn't trying to pretend like life was perfectly fine.
Hearing shouting, they perked their heads up, looking out the window.
"They're calling for dinner. C'mon."
Frank stood up from the bench, limping over to the bed. Y/n stood, grabbing Frank's arm. The two walked out together, heading for the mess hall, where the meals were being held. When they got there, Y/n let go of Frank's arm and they headed inside. They walked up to the line, receiving their dinners.
They walked to the corner farthest from the line and sat down at the table. Hopefully nobody would join them. Just two normal guys trying to talk by themselves, not wanting to socialize. It'd be upsetting if someone talked to them.
"Hey guys! What cabin are you in?"
Oh, come on. Give them a break.
A boy with beach blonde hair dropped down next to Frank, being followed by two girls. One sat down next to the boy, and the other dropped down next to Y/n.
"Oh, we're the uh, the eagle cabin. Name's Y/n. You three?"
"I'm Aidan, I'm in the wolf cabin. This is my girlfriend, Taylor."
He gestured to the girl sitting beside him.
"We decided to volunteer at the same camp so we could spend the summer together, and we just love kids! But anyways, she's in the bunny cabin. That's Georgia. She's the other counselor in the bunny cabin.
Frank disliked them, all three of them. Aidan looked like a daddy's boy, Taylor looked like she's only there because Aidan suggested it, and Georgia seems like a 'pretty but dumb' girl.
"Nice to meet you three. Uh, this is Frank. He's also in the eagle cabin."
Frank turned to look at Y/n and then forced a smile. He hoped it looked fake, just so the three would leave.
"Nice to meet you too! So, where are you guys from?"
Throughout the whole conversation Frank and Y/n (mostly Y/n) had with the three intruders, it was obvious they were the popular rich kids at their school. Nobody in their right mind would wear a polo to carry wood around camp. But they acted as if everyone was their friend. Frank did not want to be their friend. He wished they would realize that, and leave them alone.
When Y/n finished his meal, probably cold, after talking the whole time, he shot Frank a pleading look. The latter's head perked up; he knew the feeling.
"Sorry guys, we've got to go. We'd want to sleep early, if we want to have energy to help out tomorrow."
Georgia nodded along to what Frank said, as if it made sense. Nobody goes to bed at 7PM. Airhead.
"Well, hopefully we'll catch you tomorrow."
"Yeah."
Y/n stood, Frank mimicking the action. They went and threw away their plates, walking out of the mess hall.
"Thanks. They were tiring me."
"Of course, any time."
When the two arrived at the cabin, they went their own ways. Frank climbed to the top bunk, pulling out his Walkman and headphones, while Y/n settled for reading one of the books he had packed.
~~~
Now that it was the last week of July, or, the last week of camp, Frank could tell you that Y/n was his best friend. They had grown close over the summer, and it was obvious. Frank being rude to everyone who approached him, still being sour over the fact he was forced to be there, turned to him smiling sweetly at Y/n whenever he walked over to him.
Perhaps he didn't feel completely platonic feelings for Y/n, but.. he would never say. If he could just stay in touch with the boy, he'd be fine. They could meet up anyways, Y/n only lived the next town over from Frank's mothers' house.
"Frank? Y/n? Charlie hid my toothbrush and won't tell me where it is!"
Oh, right. The kids. Frank didn't like a single one of them. They all wanted to run around, and were constantly yelling. Boy, was he glad this was their last day here. Then it was just the counselors, packing up until they were reassembling the camp next year.
He sighed, walking into the main room of the cabin. Luckily, most of the boys were ready and settled for chatting with the others. Kids like Charlie were the bane of Frank's existence.
"Charlie, give Ethan his toothbrush back."
The forementioned boy let out a whine, before retreating to the bathroom to bring Ethan back his toothbrush. Charlie then stuck his tongue out at the boy and ran off to the other side of the room, Ethan following.
Now that Frank thought about it, where was Y/n? He was always here to stick it out with Frank. Neither of them were very fond of kids, but they were still good at watching over them. You only needed to be competent to do it, so they were fine.
Frank made sure all of the boys made it to their activity, today being swimming in the lake. He made sure they all got sunscreen, before he lathered it on himself. He stood around with the boys, waiting for either a lifeguard or Y/n to show up. Camp rules, there needed to be at least two people watching over the kids at the lake. Couldn't have a real life Jason Vorhees, could they?
That was when Y/n showed up, jogging down the hill. He stopped next to Frank, catching his breath.
"Sorry, got caught up. The bunny cabin girls were having trouble with a sick one at breakfast. They asked me to take her to the nurse so that they could get the others to their activity."
Frank let out a hum that signified he heard his friends' response. He turned back to the boys after taking a peek at his watch.
"Alright, the sunscreen's absorbed into your skin. Go swim."
Noticing some boys not going into the lake, he sighed.
"Y/n some of them don't know how to swim. You wanna teach them or watch over the others?"
"I'll watch over the others. Have fun with that."
Before Frank could argue, not wanting to teach the kids how to swim, Y/n ran into the lake. He swam towards the boys who had already swam in, turning to stick his tongue out at Frank once he reached them. Frank sighed and then turned to the boys who were staring at him, ready to be taught.
"Alright, let's get this over with."
~~~
At dinner, Frank and Y/n sat in the corner, per usual. Aidan and Taylor had broken up halfway through summer, and now neither of them talked to the eagle counselors, although Georgia still chatted with Y/n. It was obvious she had a crush on him; take a look at how she looks at him, for example. Or how she talks with him. Or about him.
"So what are your plans for after camp?"
Y/n let out a groan and looked at his friend.
"Are you kidding? Staying up late and sleeping in, obviously. Lounging around, listening to non first grader music."
The two boys grinned at each other in a way it was obvious they were in love with each other. But nobody would think that! They're both heterosexual males... right?
"You're never going to let that go, are you?"
"Nope."
"Should have expected you to say no. Any favorite memories from camp?"
"Hm.. how about when you so kindly forgot to remind me to put on sunscreen this morning, and now I have sunburns all over my body?"
"Doesn't count, Mister Sarcasm."
Frank gave Y/n a cocky grin, earning a playful pout in return.
"Wow."
After dinner, the two walked the kids to the firepit, where all the older counselors would have fun with them for their last night. They also encouraged the teenage counselors to bond on their last night, but the eagle cabin boys had other ideas.
As soon as they were in the clear, they ran around the lake and got to the far side, and then dropped to the ground. They had brought Frank's Walkman and planned on blasting non first grader music.
As soon as he heard the sound of Misfits, Y/n let out a laugh.
"Are you trying to seem cool right now?"
Frank gave Y/n's shoulder a playful shove. All throughout the summer, they had referenced dumb things the other had said or done. For instance, when Frank ate mac n cheese to prove his best friend wrong, only to have stomachaches for the rest of the day. He said it was worth it, but every time Y/n brought it up, he started to doubt himself.
"Shut up. Now, this might come as a surprise, and we'll probably get in trouble, but it's the last day. We should totally do it."
"What? Are you gonna ask me to skinny dip with you, Iero? Because the answer's no."
"No? Why would you even suggest that?"
"It would get us in trouble?"
"Alright, stop talking. I meant this."
Frank reached into his pocket, pulling out a bag. It was getting dark, but Y/n could still tell what was inside.
"How did you even get that in? And do you have a dollar on you?"
~~~
The two boys giggled like maniacs, laying side by side. It was completely dark out, but they could still see the fire, so they knew they were fine.
"So, do you know the constellations?"
"No. Do You?"
"Hell yeah man, I loved the stars as a kid. Alright so..."
When Y/n sat up, Frank sat up as well. He started pointing to different parts of the sky, and rambled on about the different stars and different constellations, and it was so... lovely.
"Hey, Y/n?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I tell you something? Nobody else knows."
"Did you murder someone?"
"No. Y/n, I uh.. I found out I sorta liked you on the first day, when we met and I had scraped my knee and you helped me out. And then you were just so great as camp went on, and I fell for you. I'm in love with you, Y/n. You might not love me back, I'm not asking you to, but you deserve to know."
Y/n turned his head, staring straight into Frank's eyes with his lips slightly parted. The two sat there, staring at each other for a few seconds, holding their breaths. What does someone even say to that? Frank finally closed his eyes and got ready to get up, accepting embarrassment, before feeling someone grab his arm and pull him back down. The presence of Y/n's lips against Frank's were.. spectacular. He wished he had confessed sooner.
Pulling away, Frank felt his face heating up. With the moonlight making is so that they could still see, it wasn't hard to see the expressions on the others' face. Y/n's pink cheeks, parted lips, wide eyes.. he was beautiful. There was no mistaking that.
Y/n stood up, grabbing Frank's hand and pulling him up with him. He led them back towards camp, heading straight for their cabin. They didn't speak the whole way there, not interrupting the silence when they changed into their pajamas either.
As soon as Y/n pulled his shirt on, Frank popped up beside him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Still under the effects of the coke, Y/n let out a giggle, causing Frank to giggle as well.
"So.. what does this make us?"
"I would say boyfriends, but another thing I would say is a sunburned idiot and an idiot with a scraped knee."
"Oh, shut up."
Sammy's Swynwrimo: Swynlake & The Olympians AU
The Plot:
The life of a demigod has never been an easy one. Nearly every mortal knows the stories of the Greeks. Heracles and the Labors, Achilles and his heel, Orion the hunter, etc. Used as stories of where the world began or why things came to pass.
Stories, yes, but not simple fiction. These are legends and history, true to those who can see past the Mist thanks to godly blood in their veins.
But for every hero there must be a monster to oppose them, a great deal even. More than any one demigod could possibly handle without proper training.
Welcome to Camp Half-Blood, summer (and year round) camp for Greek demigods! Here you will embark on a journey of self-discovery and self-preservation! Thanks to your godly parentage you are a target for monsters near and far and you must be ready for the attack at a moment's notice.
The camp's borders have been magically protected but you cannot remain here forever.
Come find your place, (hopefully) get claimed by your godly parent, and make friends while you learn crafting skills, archery, and swordsmanship (just to name a few things)!
Sure the gods aren't the best parents and sure they should probably claim their children more often but what can you do? Fight back? Try to take over Olympus and replace them? Absurd! You'd need great power to do that! Someone like Kronos, maybe? Impossible... Or is it?
Name: Tony Rydinger Age: 19 Cabin/Godly Parent: Cabin 7: Apollo Magical Talents: Natural musician/singer, Charmspeak (through song only), advanced archery talent, can hear things at frequencies some can't, innately able to speak Italian (the language of music). Favorite Activity: Campfire Songs Biography: TW: Death Mention Leadership comes with sacrifice. Tony didn't understand that when he first arrived. Tony didn't start out as a Head Counselor in the Apollo cabin. No, he started his time at Camp Half-Blood in the Hermes cabin just like every other unclaimed demigod. He did his time there, months of it, before he finally got brave enough to lead the campfire song one night and Apollo's symbol finally hovered overhead to tell everyone there that Tony was his. Still, Tony didn't do exceptionally well helping tend to the injured campers and he was rather middle of the road when it came to his archery skills (compared to his siblings that is since being a son of Apollo certainly still had its perks). But there was one factor, grim as it was, that rose Tony to the tops of the ranks even with other campers appearing older than himself: Time was never on a demigod's side. Demigods didn't often live very long, being hunted from the age of typically 11 would do that to you, and so many of Tony's siblings never returned from their quests and Tony was soon the longest residing member of Cabin 7. That meant he had a responsibility to lead, whether that was in Capture the Flag or the Campfire Songs, or even addressing the wounded that did return even if he wasn't the best with healing. Leadership comes with sacrifice. Tony certainly knows a lot about that. Campers have been talking, as they so often do, but this time it has been different. It's not simple gossip or complaining, no. There's serious conversation on whether or not the gods' time ruling over Olympus is drawing to a close and who might be best suited to take their place. Leadership comes with sacrifice. The only things that the gods ever sacrifice are their children. Maybe it is time for some changes around here.
verses I have to add to my carrd:
Fear Street.
Toni being a camp counselor at camp nightwing from shadyside. She’s 18, grateful to get out of her uncle’s care, even if it were just for the summer. Much like canon her uncle doesn’t approve of her liking girls which causes a lot of tension in the household, that was about the time he started locking her out if she wasn’t home by 8.
Gossip girl Reboot
Toni got a scholarship to Constance Billard School St. Jude's School, causing her to uproot everything and head to New York city. She lives in a house that one of her friends, Veronica Lodge, has in New York City, as long as she keeps up on the cleaning and overall keeping it nice for when Veronica goes up to NYC. She’s made a couple of friends there, but she mostly stands out for the modifications she has done to the uniform (mostly her southside serpents jacket).
Can we all just agree that more stories with Tony being awesome with kids should exist I mean, c'mon, the man is basically a child himself, especially when it comes to Science. Tony absconding with middle schoolers who are at SI on a field trip and taking them down to R&D to play with robots and lasers (The teacher is panicked. Pepper just rolls her eyes and goes down there to drag them back, knowing that Tony will probably just do this again). Tony volunteering at a science camp for underprivileged kids (it's a poorly kept secret that he is the anonymous donor that kept the science and robotics programs running at several schools in New York). He takes DUM-E with him and the kids adore the robot. Tony quietly starting a foundation for kids who come from abusive homes, pouring his heart and soul into planning events for the kids to make them feel accepted and loved by the volunteers (he denies any involvement but Pepper and Rhodey know better). Just...Tony loving and supporting kids and trying to make sure that they grow up better than he did.
At Hacket’s Quarry summer camp, councilors Tony and Peter had met and sparks flew between them. Summer had been great, mentoring the kids, making friends with the other counselors, and occasionally sneaking off to make out in the woods. It was probably the best summer either of them could have asked for. But summer was coming to an end and once all the kids were finally sent home it was soon time for the councilors to leave as well. Happy to finally get their phones back but sad to leave and have to say goodbye, the pair wished they could have just a little longer with each other. Romance was easy when they got to see each other everyday, but come fall they would both be heading off to different colleges and didn’t know if they could make it work.
They soon thought they had their wish granted when the camp van wouldn’t start and Mr. Hacket told them they would have to stay another night. He seemed extremely stressed out about it but to Peter and Tony, one more night together and no pesky kids around sounded amazing. And it did start out that way. All the councilors gathered up what they could find for party supplies and the rest of the evening was spent drinking, playing games around the campfire, goofing off, and Tony and Peter getting mercilessly teased by their friends about being all over each other the whole summer.
But when a fellow councilor is attacked by something in the woods, their extra night on their own wasn’t seeming so great after all. What was meant to be a nice final send off to a fun summer was suddenly turning into a nightmare. Maybe there was a reason Mr. Hacket was so worried after all. With their friend badly injured, a vicious creature roaming the woods, and no signal to call for help, would they be able to survive the night?
Pairing: Stark!Peter x Blackcat!Reader
Status: Completed
When you met Peter Stark you were certain that you would hate him. He was your opposite, unbelievably wealthy, the epitome of privilege. Even worse than all that, he was Ironman’s son. It didn’t matter how sweet or innocent he seemed, you knew you couldn’t be trusted. Usually you kept people at a distance because you were a danger to them, but Peter was a danger to you, and that last thing you needed was to worry about when you already had Spiderman on your ass.
Do you have any genderqueer!Crowley or genderfluid!Crowley fic recs?
Here's a selection for you!
Stitch Me Up by Get_Wrexed [E], WIP
Dr. Aziraphale Fell is newly appointed as the Chief of the A&E (ER) at Celestial Harmonies Hospital in Lambeth, London. The crowd is a much different one than the patients that gathered at his previous place of work in the South Downs- and his coworkers are perhaps the oddest of all. Emergency physician Gabriel Winger seems to think Dr. Fell has robbed him of a position that was rightfully his. Beatrix Bealz, the trauma surgeon on call, doesn't look or act like a surgeon at all. And then there's that strange Head Nurse Crowley. So stand-offish with his coworkers. So sweet with the patients. A mystery, all together. Aziraphale can't help but want to solve that mystery- what physician can resist one?
Comes love (nothing can be done) by NaroMoreau, lookitsstevie [E], WIP
When the body of his informant appears at the docks, Detective Aziraphale will have to dig deeper to find someone else to help him bring down crime lord Lucien Morningstar. When he goes to his club, he doesn't expect to find someone who will shake his world and will make him hope for things he had given up long ago.
A Good Omens Noir AU.
Star of the Wooded Mountain by jamgrl [T], WIP
Going back to camp shouldn’t have been hard. Yeah, okay, there was the gender-queer thing and the whole, uh, gendered cabin situation. And, yeah, being a counselor wasn’t going to be the same as being a camper.
But Tony loved everything else about camp. Tony loved the woods and the creek and the s’mores. Mostly, though, Tony loved Azira.
And they were afraid. That they would be a bad counselor, that Azira would stop liking them. Twelve weeks was a long time, and Tony didn’t know if their life was going to fall together or fall apart.
Also I've created a tag search for you here
Camp Evergreen Master List
Be the One Master List
Taglist: Message Me or comment on this post!
        Nestled between the mountains and the lake, with ample space to roam and explore, Camp Evergreen is burrowed. A camp named for its canopy of greenery; Evergreen is preparing for its twenty-first summer. Twenty-one years shaping the minds and talent of aspiring actors, dancers, performers, artists, and writers. Elite talent from across the country will descend upon the Pacific Northwest haven, seeking guidance and direction.
       Camp Evergreen remains the foremost summer institute for burgeoning talent. Taught exclusively by professionals, campers spend their six weeks honing their skills. Six weeks studying, writing, performing, all in the hopes of getting into an acting program for college, landing a role in the latest Disney channel show, or making the leap from high school theatre-Jimmy Awards winner to Broadway. After a laborious addition and application process, campers are welcomed into a summer like nothing they could imagine.
       Preparing to welcome in the ego and id of 100 teenagers are PhDs in art history and English, industry rich writers, Broadway stars, authors and Emmy award winners, Tony awarded choreographers and set designers. Each instructor, a master in their field, has crafted their course to be rigorous, engaging, and meet requirements set by Camp’s Board of Directors. Giving up part of their summer is exchanged for a generous paycheck and nearly promised position for the following summer. It is an honor and a privilege to teach at Camp Evergreen, one that carries weight and prestige on every resume. Under their tutelage, a group of TA’s, college students dying to make it big after graduating, or at the very least, score a letter of recommendation from an esteemed professional.
       And under them, Cabin and Junior Counselors, in charge of the mental and physical wellbeing of the campers. They are also in charge of the inevitable drama that comes with a summer in the forest.
        It’s both heaven, and hell. Tears over who gets cast in the end of camp musical, joy and triumph of students who are selected for short films and one-act plays, all under the constant, pervasive, hormonal drive of being sixteen. Hearts will be broken, dreams will be fulfilled, and someone will break a bone trying to land a grand jete during the opening number of this summer’s musical: Footloose.
        While their students, and counselors, are falling in love, cheating, breaking hearts and experiencing every major first at Camp Evergreen, it’s the instructors that will be doing their best to hide their drama. Who is fucking who? Who is cheating on their spouse back home with their perpetual summer fling? Do rules apply when the Head Instructor wants to fulfill her long standing relationship with another teacher? Who will have a pregnancy scare and who will threaten to quit? More importantly, who will allow a group of teenagers to recreate a scene from To Kill a Mockingbird, races reversed?
        It’s all waiting to unfurl and unfold because this summer, everything comes to a head and it’s you who has to decide who and what are worth fighting for.
        Is it you and him?
        Is it your new position and status?
        Or is everything so messy and convoluted that you’re willing to throw it all away, uphold your position, and irrevocably shatter your hearts?
        Welcome to Camp Evergreen.
Next: You & Me, Me & You {1}
