The Bon-Ton has been torn up at the South Mall in Allentown. Giant will be opening a new supermarket there this year. Prior to yesterday, this building had the most well-preserved former 70's era Hess's department store facade. A number of these Hess's stores were preserved in their original condition by The Bon-Ton from the time Bon-Ton bought Hess's in 1994 until Bon-Ton went out of business in 2018. Since then, the Lehigh Valley has lost all of its old Hess's storefronts one by one.
The two best remaining examples of 70's Hess's stores are now at the Richland Plaza (formerly Richland Mall) in Quakertown and the Palmer Park Mall in Easton. Both of those former Hess's stores have been altered, but still have some distinct original design features left. A look at the exposed steel beams reveals a stamp that links the construction materials to Kramer Steel of Allentown, a company which no longer exists.

It has come to my attention- that I like the happy, cheerful characters x sad, repressed characters… ships a lot
I love when a character sees the other one as their sun, their light, something that brings them happiness or peace.

A handy little graph I made to explain why the Arcane soundtrack just fell flat for me. The songs are great on their own, but to me, they feel diminished by being included in the scenes they were used in for the most part.
A good song should add to the scene, and when you have lyrics that just narrate what's going on... to me that doesn't add anything to it and is just distracted and awkward.
And I also kept thinking to myself, wouldn't it be cool if the characters just started singing their feelings to each other? (Yes I know that wouldn't work for every single song they have but hey, the idea was still there.)

what are the best written sambastian fanworks
it’s been a minute since i delved into the sambastian ao3 but by FAR my favorite one was “Contrast & Color” by Mouse_213. it’s a college au where sam and seb are art students, and they end up in the same dorm as each other and shit starts going down from there.
it very much hit home for me as somebody currently in college in the arts (i’m in music but eh close enough), and it dealt with a lot of delicate topics really well. definitely my favorite sambastian fan work and honestly if it were a book it’d be one of my favorite books.
