HOLD ON
where tommy cannot believe he has a daughter after returning from the war.
WARNINGS: mentions of the war, ptsd
——
1919
TOMMY stared down at the little girl who lay asleep in bed.
His little girl.
His blue gaze was unwavering in the depth of night. He hadn’t slept. He didn’t sleep. Even when the moonlight poured into his small room and smothered his daughter. Since returning from the war he studied her. Little Inara Shelby. The child whom he could not hold when she was born, or care for in her early years.
She was four years old.
Bloody four and only now he was around her, raising her as he promised Eden before the war. The war they all thought would not last. Just until Christmas, we’ll be back then. But they weren't and he could not forgive himself for the years that passed.
“Tom?” Eden’s voice crept into the room with the opening door. Tommy let out a hum of acknowledgement. The Shelby woman smiled fondly after shutting the door behind her. She wore her house coat as she took in the lovely sight. Father and daughter. “I used to do this. I still do,” she whispered. “She twitches in her sleep y’know? Like you do.”
Like I did, he wanted to say, as did she.
When he slept, he dreamt and there were never the nicest of dreams. He woke up yelling, shouting for the vivid visions to stop. It scared Eden.
And so he tried not to sleep, he poured his energy into anything else.
His daughter was one of those things.
“I never got to hold her,” he uttered as the silence passed.
Eden shuffled closer, “What?”
“When… as a baby. Was she heavy?” He didn’t look up to his wife when he asked. Instead, his mind tossed around various weights whilst he studied his daughter.
She was not a small child, but she wasn’t big either.
A fond smile tugged at Eden’s lips, before she spoke, “The heaviest, almost broke my arms off.”
“Ada was a heavy baby,” Tommy recalled, inhaling when he felt her nimble hand settle on his shoulder.
“Guess that made you strong,” she gently rubbed at his exposed skin.
“No. I didn’t know what strong was until I fought.”
“There are different types of strong love. You had to endure a type that no one should.” She trod carefully with her words. “Now you’re back.” Not all of you. “Now you get to hold your daughter.”
Tommy swallowed harshly, “I won’t stop.”
“I know.”
“No, Edie.” Tommy finally turned his head, adjusting his gaze to meet his wife’s worrisome one. Her soft grasp left his shoulder and reached to link with his callous hands. “I’ll make sure we make it out of here. Be the bright light through this fuckin’ bleakness eh?”
“I know Tommy. Shining through the fog of this murky city right?” Eden thoughtfully recalled the kind words her best friend once wrote. She carried them always. “With your razor blades and all.”
Still speaking quietly he replied with purpose, “If they protect who I love, then that’s all that matters.”
That’s all that will ever matter.

Stolen Wife - 6
Synopsis – Tommy Shelby is married to Grace, but he becomes obsessed with Y/N, wife of Reuben Fitch, Tommy’s business partner in the U.S. who is unaware of his actual “business”.
This blog supports Palestine. Zionists are not welcome here.

You could feel judgmental eyes of the bartender, it was not even 11 a.m. at the hotel bar downing tequila, vodka, whiskey, vermouth, and whatever bartender thought would appease you. You were drinking your weight in alcohol to numb the pain that senseless weirdo brought up so casually. The absurd and preposterous claim (totally correct & valid point) that you were running away from your husband’s memories. Thomas Shelby doesn’t know you, and the nerve of his mouth, the audacity of those haunting eyes of that man to tell you what you should do, after you barely met all those months ago, after you barely talked to him today, who does he think he is?
Tumblr media
The pretty bartender, Patty, as her badge indicated, kept bringing you some sort of snack to absorb that alcohol, which you were thankful for, she didn’t question much, and you really didn’t have the energy to answer. You were pretty hammered and past the point of even noticing that there was a new bartender serving you what seemed like endless amounts of drinks without you even asking. Had you been a little careful, a little vigilant you would have noticed that the new bartender slipped something in your drink. Had you not been drowning in the insurmountable grief of losing the love of your life, you would have noticed Tommy Shelby and his goons spread out near the bar, keeping an eye on you. Had you not been so damn oblivious you would have noticed the bartender stealing your phone before darkness took over, and you lost consciousness.

Tommy didn’t know kidnapping was going to be added to the long list of crimes he has committed, but love makes you do crazy things, so what’s one more crime to add to that list but getting you to Birmingham, now that was going to take some serious effort, but he knows how to grease a few hands and tell them to look away when it's needed…That’s how he has been able to infiltrate North American black markets.
Tumblr media
Flight from Vancouver to Birmingham was smooth, it had to be, the drug was effective for about 12 hours. It gave enough time for the Peaky Blinders to clean out your room, ditch your smartphone in some dumpster in other city before Rueben’s squad could even figure out what had happened.
You woke up in an unfamiliar room, your throat parched, your mind a bit disconnected, and you needed to pee badly, damn, how many drinks did you have…Wait a minute, did you sleep with someone, so many questions swirling around in your brain.
Tumblr media
The door opened, and you saw a sweet looking woman carrying a glass of water and a glass of orange juice. She offered them both to you, and you gulped down that water in one big gulp…
Tumblr media
“Thank you….Could you point me towards the washroom? I need to freshen up…” you mumbled
She directed you towards the door on the other side of the bed. You got up quickly, a little too quickly and felt a bit dizzy. After practically rushing towards the washroom and doing your business did you start to take the notice of things not feeling right…You did not remember anything except the mimosa you drank. Fuck…what had happened? Where the fuck were you? You needed to get the fuck out of whatever this place was, you needed your phone, you needed to call an uber…
It was then you realized you did not have your phone, your stomach dropped…Fuck fuckity fuck…You searched the bedroom but there was nothing there…You were in process of ripping off the bedsheets when you heard a familiar voice.
“Your phone is not here, Y/N”
Tumblr media
You turned around to face the devil with vibrant blue eyes; there was something sinister about them, something that you would learn rather quickly.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
As you continued to breastfeed Amaramias, you couldn't help but feel a sense of peace and contentment. Despite the challenges you had faced in your relationship with Tommy, your daughter brought you immense joy and reminded you of the love and beauty in your life.
As Amaramias suckled, you gently caressed her soft hair and admired her delicate features. The bond between a mother and her child was something truly special, and you cherished every moment spent with her. The love you felt for your daughter was unconditional, and you were determined to provide her with the best possible life.
While Tommy's actions had hurt you deeply, you had found strength within yourself to move forward and focus on being the best mother you could be. Your daughter was a symbol of hope and resilience, a reminder that love could triumph over pain. In that quiet moment, as Amaramias nursed and the world outside faded away, you couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the blessing of motherhood. Your daughter was a precious gift, and you vowed to protect and cherish her with all your heart.
As you continued to nurse Amaramias, you whispered soft words of love and reassurance to her, letting her know that she was safe, loved, and cherished. A soft hum vibrated in your mouth as you hummed a tune familiar to you. One that your own mother would hum daily. As lost in your own world you were you did not miss the sound of knocking on your front door. Gently lifting the infant you rose to your feet and grabbed a baby blanket to cover her and yourself.
Balancing Amaramias in one arm, you carefully draped the blanket over her to shield her from any drafts as you made your way toward the front door. The knocking persisted, growing louder with each passing moment, indicating an urgency that piqued your curiosity and concern.
As you approached the door, you peered through the peephole, trying to catch a glimpse of who might be on the other side. However, the view was obscured, leaving you with more questions than answers. With caution, you unlocked the door and opened it slightly, keeping the chain lock in place as a safety measure.
"Yes? Can I help you?" you asked, your voice gentle but tinged with a hint of caution. Standing before you was a short elderly woman, shaking from the cold outside. You recognized her somewhat as the one whose been seen a lot around town, seeming lost.
"Are you alright?" you asked with genuine concern, noticing the elderly woman's shivering form. "Please do come inside, it's freezing out there."
You closed the door anthem removed the chain and opened the door wider gesturing for her to step in. Once she was inside, you closed the door, making sure to lock it securely. You led her to the living room where there was a warm fireplace, offering her a seat on the couch. You didn't quite trust this old woman, but your parents raised you better than to let someone asking for help suffer. The old lady looked around as she held herself tightly “What a cozy little home you have.”
You offered a polite smile to her as you looked down at Ama, who was still feeding. "Here, let me get you a blanket, I have a baby so it will take a moment," you said, rushing to fetch a soft throw blanket from the nearby cupboard. Returning to the living room, you gently draped it over her shoulders.
“Thank you, darling.” She replied in a soft voice as she got more comfortable. “I’m sorry to trouble you so late at night young mother. I got lost and something drew me to this home. As if saying I would be safe here.”
As you looked closer at the older woman you could see that despite her worn-down appearance she seems quite well-groomed and well off. “I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve lost your way. Can I get you something warm? Tea? Maybe coffee?”
“Tea would be lovely, thank you," she replied with a small smile. You nodded and returned the smile before heading to the kitchen. As you started up your kettle Ama unlatched and began to fuss slightly. You removed the baby blanket and fixed your nightgown so your breast was away and then softly hushed your daughter as you pat her back. You comforted Amaramias, patting her back gently to soothe her fussiness, all the while keeping an eye on the kettle as it heated up. Once she settled down, you carefully placed her in a nearby crib, making sure she was safe and secure.
Returning to the kitchen, you prepared a cup of tea for the older woman, letting the warm water steep with the tea leaves. As you waited, you couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity about the stranger in your home. Her presence was unexpected, and there was something intriguing yet mysterious about her.
Once the tea was ready, you poured it into a delicate teacup and carried it back to the living room. Handing it to the woman, you took a seat across from her, ready to listen to her story.
As she sipped the tea, her gaze wandered around the room, lingering on the photographs and the small trinkets that adorned the shelves. After a moment of silence, she looked at you, her eyes filled with a mix of gratitude and sadness.
"I don't expect you to understand, young mother," she began, her voice gentle but tinged with a hint of melancholy. "But I've been on a long journey, both physically and metaphorically. I've lost much along the way, and my memory has become fragmented." You didn't say anything, only nodded to show you were listening and understood. “I have a husband who treats me well. Loves me to this very day, and 4 wonderful kids. Our youngest ran away from home after we refused to let her date a.. A commoner.”
The woman seem embarrassed as she mentioned the background of the man. “Now that we’ve been without her so long I can’t help but wish we were more understanding. She really loved that man and that man didn’t even know of her status, so we knew he wasn't using her. But we were stubborn and lost our child in the process.”
There was a pause before she continued once more. “I miss her every day, we all do, and to get away from my guilt I go on walks to clear my mind. However, this time I went on a walk despite not being in our regular home and got lost. As I wandered around I saw you and your daughter in the market and you looked so much like my own. I ended up losing sight of you and got even more lost. As it got darker I decided to swallow my pride and ask around for help, but door after door was slammed in my face. Just when I was about to give up I felt this tug, and I followed it here.”
Listening to the woman's story, you could feel the depth of her pain and regret. The complexity of family dynamics and the consequences of their actions weighed heavily on her. Your heart went out to her, understanding the profound loss and the longing to reunite with her estranged daughter.
"I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you," you said, your voice filled with empathy. "Losing a loved one, especially a child, is a tremendous burden to bear. It's clear that you deeply regret the choices that led to this separation."
The woman nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. "Yes, the weight of my regret is overwhelming. I've spent countless nights wishing I could turn back time, to be more understanding and accepting. But it seems I'm destined to carry this guilt with me."
She took a deep breath, her hands clutching the teacup tightly. "I came to realize that life is too short to let pride and stubbornness separate us from the ones we love. I want to find my daughter, to apologize and make amends. I want to rebuild what was lost and cherish the time we have left together."
“Maybe I could help. What’s her name? How old is she now?” You looked at the older woman with a sense of determination in your eyes, if something like this were to happen to you you would want a stranger to help.
The woman smiled warmly, touched by your willingness to assist. "Her name is Zelda, but she prefers to go by Liz. She's in her late forties now. It's been so long since I last saw her, and I can only hope she's doing well."
Your heart skipped a beat as you processed the information. Zelda, or Liz, was your mother's name. But maybe this was just a coincidence, standing to your feet you walked to the family portrait you treasured on the other side of the living room. You held it in your hands for a moment before walking back to the older woman. “Maybe it’s just a coincidence but my mother’s name is Zelda as well and is 47.”
You handed the elderly woman the picture frame where your family and Tommy’s stood together. It was from your wedding day. Even though Tommy broke your heart, the picture still meant a lot to you. Your mother stood next to you with such warmth and love in her eye as she and your father embraced you.
The older woman took the picture frame with trembling hands, her eyes locked on the image of your mother. Tears welled up in her eyes as she studied the photograph, comparing the face of the young woman in the picture to the memories she held deep within her heart.
"It's her," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion. "My dear Zelda, my daughter."
You could feel the weight of the moment, the convergence of past and present, the reunion of a long-lost mother and daughter. Emotions swirled within you – joy, sadness, hope, and a deep sense of connection to this woman who was your grandmother.
"I can't believe we've found each other after all these years," she said, her voice choked with tears. Finally, she couldn't hold then in anymore and began crying as she held the picture for dear life as if once it was gone so would be the chance to connect with her daughter. "I've missed so much time with her, and I regret every day I spent apart from her. My baby.. Oh my baby I miss you so much. We all miss you so much. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Please forgive your foolish mother."
Her sobs racked through her body as she clung to the frame. You couldn't help but worry she might harm herself with how hard she was crying. The sight of your new grandmother in such distress tore at your heart. You quickly moved to her side, gently taking the picture frame from her hands and setting it aside. Wrapping your arms around her, you held her close, offering comfort and reassurance. As a mother yourself you could imagine all the emotions she was going through. The relief, regret, guilt, happiness and so much more were probably crashing into her in full force. She clung to you, finding solace in your embrace. Her sobs gradually subsided as she allowed herself to be comforted. You stayed with her, offering a supportive presence, until she regained some composure.
"It's just…the weight of all those years without her," she managed to say between deep breaths. "The guilt, the longing…it became overwhelming in that moment. I’m so happy and yet ashamed. I wasn't there! If I was there I could’ve-”
“The worst poison you could give your mind is what ifs. What happened happened, we can’t change the past. But now you have the chance to tell her all that yourself.” You said softly as you bit your lip. This woman was your grandmother and the last thing you wanted to do was reveal yourself to your family. But this wasn't about you. It was strange for you. Being both sides of the coin at the same time. You understood the pain of feeling you failed your child. You feel like you failed Amaramias by not letting her have a connection with her family. But at the same time, you were the daughter that was doing what she felt was best for herself. So you did the right thing.
“Finish your tea… I’ll…. I’ll call my mother.”

Tumblr media
OMG DARLING! You don't know how much happiness you injected on me right now 😆 Thank you so much for the kind words 🤗 They are highly appreciated!
Unfortunately i don't see many Tommy x Fem! POC stories being posted here on tumblr 😔 I believe they are more popular on Wattpad but i can't tell you for sure because i don't roam there 😅 The stories i was able to collect all feature a x Black Reader. I would love to read other ethnicities being featured but until this day i wasn't able to find it. If any of my mutuals see or knows about x Fem! POC stories, please feel free to share them 🤗
❣ Tell Me by @blackwomanwriter - I was blown away when i first read it! Tommy is portrayed so accurately, with all his quircks and the way he views love and relationships, that is wonderfully engaging and Y/N is so three dimensional and full of life. Their dynamic is something truly special and i feasted in all of their angst! The one-shot is followed by a part 2 called Promises.
❣ Maybe I'll Stay by @runnning-outof-time - Y/N in this one is Isaiah's sister and they have a super fun sibling banter (i'm giggling just thinking about it 😁) but what shines in the story, imo, is the sexy interactions between Tommy and Y/N! It has one of the most naughty scenes that my friend K has ever written and i swoon ever time i remember it 🤭
❣ Runaway Bride by @chocolate-milk-fanfics - I didn't have the time to check this story yet but i'm eager to! All the angst that the premise promises is right up my alley 😊
Once again, thank you so much for showing your support darling 🤗 It made my day 🥰

Relays Of Information | Shelby!Daughter
Tumblr media
Summary: Tommy founds out he has a daughter he never knew about. Or The long lost Shelby daughter raised as a widow comes face to face with her father.
Request: Nah
Warning: description of violence
Walking into the club in downtown London, Tomas Shelby let his eyes scan the crowded establishment in search for the young woman he had seen earlier that day.
Flashback:
"Mr. Shelby," Devlin called as her entered the office. "Your next meeting is here." He informed.
"Alright, send 'em in Devlin." Tommy replied putting away the paperwork her was been working on in her time between meetings.
Entering the office once again, this time with a woman following close behind. "Ms. Kitty Jurossi." He introduced causing Tommy to halt in his movement for a moment before looking up at the woman.
"Thank you Devlin." Tommy says continuing to put the papers away.
Once the two were alone they sat in silence for a few moment, through it felt equally as eternal for them both.
"Hello Tommy." Kitty greeted the man nervously. "Or do you prefer Mr. Shelby now?" She asked with a slight chuckle.
"Tommy is fine, Kitty." He answered with a close lipped smile. "Please have a seat, feel free to have some tea." He offered gesturing to the seat at the end of the table with a fresh pot of tea sat in front of it.
"Thank you." She replied shuffling over and taking a seat in the wooden chair. "It's been a long time, how have you been?"
"I've been fine Kitty and yourself." Tommy asked squinting his eyes at the sister of his former lover, a sense of unease creeping in.
"I've been fine as well Tommy," She replied. "It took me awhile after Greta passed on and I think I can just about put it behind me and move on. Which is why I've come here."
Remaining silent Tommy sustained his gaze in the woman allowing her to continue with her story.
"I've wronged you Tommy a great deal, before  you left for the war Greta confided in me that she was pregnant." Kitty revealed. "She didn't have the heart to tell you knowing you may not have made it home to meet your child. She knew she was sick and that she most likely wouldn't have that chance either. She asked that when she died I take care of the child and if you returned that the child should be with their father." she continued tears began filling her eyes.
"But that didn't happen."
"No that didn't happen, Tom." She confirmed. "It was hard after Greta passed, I had just lost my sister, I had this baby I had no idea how to raise and no one knew how long the war would last or if you'd even make it back." Tears falling down her cheeks.
"I have no idea how they knew about the babe or why but about a month after it was born some people came to me, they said they would pay me a lot of money to let them have the baby, they said they would give it a good home a good family." She explained wiping the tears from her face. "I was skint and couldn't provide for it, so I said yes and I took the money."
"I have a child." Tommy stated.
"After I heard that you had returned from war it was too late, the child was already gone and I felt that it would do no good for you to know about it seeing as Greta had passed on, knowing you had also lost a child might have broken you."
"But I didn't loose a child did I Kitty?" Tommy asked shaking his head. "You sold 'em."
"I know I've done an awful think Tommy, its been eating me alive all these years." Kitty said now sobbing quietly in her seat. "Which is why I've come here today, to confess, I only hope that one day you... and Greta, may she rest in peace, can find it in your heart to forgive me."
"where is he now?"
"I don't know Tom, But I heard of you, I know you have money, connections things that would make it a hell of a lot easier for you to find them." She answered. "I know most men have no interest with raising a child and I'm not asking you to, I have myself together now, a job and house and they deserve to know about their family about Greta. I can raise 'em take care of 'em now, I just need your help to find the child Tommy, please."
For a while Tommy sat simply staring at the crying woman in his office, a woman who he would have once been his sister-in-law but had sold his child, a living breathing legacy of her sister, her own blood.
"Alright Kitty." Tommy finally spoke breaking the silence. "I'll look for the my child and I will find 'em"
"Thank yo-,"
"And you'll not come anywhere near him." Tommy interrupts. "This will be you first and final warning Kitty, I'll let you walk now, but if you ever come near my family again. I will kill you."
Hanging her head Kitty Jurossi gave a slight nod before standing from her seat heading to the door. "Tommy," Kitty called as she opened the door turning to face him once again. "You should know, the baby...it was a girl. You have a daughter."
It took longer to find her than Tommy would like to admit, but there was obviously no paper trail for the deal Kitty Jurossi had made. Tommy sent men out to search hospitals on any record of Greta giving birth, one came back the all records of the birth and the child itself was taken by a man claiming he was from a home for orphaned girl in London, though he spoke with a Russian accent.
More digging and with the help of his friends (Alfie) in Camden, Tommy found the was one girls home that received many shipments to and from Russia.
‘The Red Room Home For Orphaned Girls.’
Four days Tommy waited outside the home, watching, waiting but for what he didn't know. Yet on the forth day all his waiting paid off as he spots a young woman walking down the street, his breath caught in his throat as he stared at an almost exact replica of Greta Jurossi. She shared nearly every feature with her late mother save a few her and there, but the one thing that wiped away any doubt was her eyes, even from across the street Tommy could see the deep blue color of them. His eyes.
With confident strides she walks up the stairs of the building before entering the door.
"Where have you been for four days?" Tommy muttered to himself never taking his eyes off of the building as he reaches into his breast pocket pulling out a cigarette. What also caught his attention even more was that an hour later she was once again walking through the door and heading off down the street. "What the hell kind of girls home is this?"
With a quick honk of his horn Tommy caught the attention of the blinder down the street, nodding in the direction of the girl, a second later the man began following the unknown Shelby down the street.

Irina sat in the club, small smile on her face, enjoying a glass of champagne as she watched the people around her dance, do drug, have sex and more.
She casually scanned the crowd waiting for her eyes to lock on the man she had followed here. Paul Lipton, he was in the middle of the dance floor, dancing with a pretty blonde women that most definitely not his wife. She knew that for a fact because that was the exact reason she was here, turned out Mrs. Lipton wasn't the type of woman to just set back and let her husband cheat on her.
Downing the rest of her drink Irina stood from her seat heading straight for the dance floor, Spinning and twirling as she attempted to blend into the crowd, making her way toward the unfaithful man she reached for the knife that was strapped to her upper thigh. Getting closer and closer to Paul she raised her arms, doing once final spin as she passed the man quickly dragging the knife across his throat.
It took Paul a few second to realize what was happening to him, she watched as the smiles slowly slipped from his face before his hands shot up to his throat in an attempt to stop his blood from spilling out of his wound. It wasn't until he fell to his knees that his partner noticed that something was terribly wrong. Seeing the red spill from his neck and down the front of his suit drew a scream from the blonde that pierced the ears of nearly everyone in the club.
In an instant the panic started as everyone began to scramble in all directions to what they hope would be safely.
Getting the feeling she was being watched Irina once again scanned the, now panicking, crowd. She had to admit she didn't expect to lock eyes with a man standing on the other side of the club dressed on a long black trench coat, blue eyes nearly completely covered my the peaky cap sat on his head.
After a few seconds of eye contact she took a step back disappearing into the crowd.
[<_>]
Pulling up to the large house 'Arrow' as it was called, Irina took note of the men standing causally outside. Guards, though not very good ones she would say.
"Ne nuzhno derzhat' mashinu v rabochem sostoyanii, ya chuvstvuyu, chto eto zaymet nekotoroye vremya." She said to the driver as he opened the door for her to exit the vehicle.['No need to keep the car running, I have a feeling this will take awhile.']
As she approached the door one of the men broke from the group stepping in between her and the door.
"Can I help you ma'am?" He asked looking down at her.
"No, I don't think you can." She replied rolling her eyes as he blows smoke in her face. "I have a meeting with a Mr. Shelby." She informed trying her best not to punch the man in the throat.
Looking over to one of the other men a bit away her nods his head in the direction of the door before turning back to her as the other walks inside. The man in front of her stares at her for awhile scanning her body ever once and a while.
"You know if your going to see Mr. Shelby, I'm afraid I'll have to search you for weapons." He smirked at her flicking his finished cigarette away.
"Touch me and it will be the last thing you do." She smirked back at the man already prepared to take him out. Her smile only grew as the man took a step forward.
"Mr. Shelby will see you now." The man from before announced sticking his head outside the door.
"Oh lucky me." She says sarcastically, side stepping the man in front of her, coming shoulder to shoulder with him she stops. "And extremely lucky for you." She states before walking up the steps and entering the home.
"Right this way ma'am." An older women in the other side of the door directed her though a hall that came to a large door way. On the other side was a dining room with a large table occupied by a approximately 13 people.
"Mr. Shelby, your guest has arrived." The woman says gesturing over to you. "Shall I take your coat?" She asked causing you to shrug it off allowing her to take it as she exits.
"Irina," The man sat at the head of the table greeted. "Thank you for coming, please have a seat."
Walking over to the table she approaches the seat Tommy had gestured to next to him. Across from her was a blonde woman who she noticed was in a very large portrait above the fire place, she sat next to a small child, obviously her son.
"Mr. Shelby." She greeted back taking a seat. "I have to say when I saw you at the club this isn't the exact way I pictured we'd meet again."
"No?"
"Well most of my clients don't usually introduce me to their family." She informed. "It's not really a family friends profession."
"Are you a whore?" The blonde woman asked looking at you from across the table.
"No...well, maybe." Irina smirked. "I like most people offer a unique service for a price, everyone is a whore is you think about it, just selling different parts of themselves."
"And what service do you provide?" A ginger haired boy a bit down the table asks.
"Finn."
"No its alright Mr. Shelby," She assured. "Well, Finn to put it simply. I kill people."
"Are you serious?" Finn asked looking around the table with a nervous chuckle.
"Deadly." She smiles. "Which is why I was wondering why Mr. Shelby called me here, its no secret that the Shelby family tends to handle grudges on their own."
"So you've heard of us?" A man sitting next to Finn asked with a smirk.
"I prefer to know who I'm working for." She replied. "I asked around about you 'Tommy Shelby the man who could make an enemy out of god himself', So Mr. Shelby who is it that now even the all powerful Tomas Shelby can kill?" She smiles excitement shining in her eyes.
"I'm afraid you may be quite disappointed," Tommy says looking away from the young girl and over to the woman sitting next to her. "I haven't asked you here to have anyone killed."
Slowly the smile slips from her face as she turns her attention to the head of the table, leaning forward with a glare on her face.
"So you've wasted my time?" She asks staring down the blue eyed man.
"I've called you here to offer you some...information you may find interesting." Tommy corrected.
"If I wanted interesting information, Thomas." She started leaning forward some more. "I would have went to a fucking library."
"Not this information love." The older brunette sitting to he left states.
"I don't know how to say this so I'll just come out with it." Tommy started.
"Please do."
"about sixteen years ago, before I went off to war, I was involved with a woman by the name of Greta Jurossi." He explains. "She died while I was still in France, but before that she had a child. My child."
"Is this what coming out with it means to you?"
"A few months ago, her sister came to me to let me know of the child." Taking a moment to clear his throat Tommy finally 'came out with it.' "That child is you."
All eyes were now on Irina as she looked down at the table cloth in front of her. Tommy took her silence as a sign to continue speaking and began introducing the various members of the Shelby family to the newest member.
Having gone down the table Tommy finishes looking back over to his daughter, after a few moments of silence a small chuckle was heard as her shoulder began to move more and more as her laughter became louder.
"I'm sorry," She apologizes as she looks around to see no one else laughing. "I just find this whole story a bit ridiculous."
"You think we’re lying." The younger brunette with a short hair cut asked seemingly offended.
"Yes...No...well, weather I believe it or not doesn't really matter." Irina said waving her had dismissing the topic. "But you were right Mr. Shelby this wasn't a waste of time after all. Because I have some 'interesting' information for you as well."
reaching down in a small pocket in her skirt pulling out a bullet setting it upright on the table. On the bullet a name, crudely etched into the side.
‘Thomas.’
"I'm sure you are familiar with a name by the name of Sabini?" She asked rhetorically. "Well it seems you have offended him in someway seeing as he contacted me sometime ago with the request that I end your life."
"Imagine my surprise when I not only spot you in London, alone, unprotected, but then you invite me to your home." She laughed in disbelief. "So I guess the question now Mr. Shelby is, Mr. Sabini paid a lot of money to have you killed, How much are you willing to pay to stay alive?"

“Tell Me”
Not me finally writing again!?! I started watching Peaky Blinders, and suddenly, I was inspired. There’s something about a man in a suit. Okay, there’s something about Cillian Murphy playing Thomas Shelby while wearing a suit. Whew! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this one.

Listen, I like confrontation. I have never backed down from one. That doesnt mean, I go looking for one.
Sometimes, when I read these reader inserts, and they get into an argument and start crying, or being all soft I wanna scream at my phone “FIGHT BACK, STOP CRYING AND ARGUE BACK!”
Sometimes these soft OC’s be stressing me out.
With that said, Y’all ever feel the same way?

MORE SHELBY’S
when eden meets michael grey
1921
“Oh Michael, this is your cousin-in-law, Eden.”
Polly proudly introduced her to her son, she clutched him tightly as he sheepishly fiddled with the cufflinks of his cheap suit. Eden waddled in with the help of Tommy, her bump was big and she was ready to give birth in days, everyone knew it.
Arthur and John snickered once they saw the astonishment on Michael’s face. Their young cousin knew that Tommy, the head of the family had a wife, but she didn’t know what she looked like, every time he asked his mum… Polly, she answered, like one of the few people to rein your wild cousins in. It was the understatement of his fucking life, and Eden was truly a stunner.
“I can’t be that big can I?” Eden asked, with a smile. “Tommy, you said I wasn’t that big.”
“You look beautiful alright,” Tommy rushed out, with a hand resting on her back.
“She’s carrying another Shelby in there Michael,” Arthur nodded to his sister-in-law.
John clasped his hands together, “Here’s praying it’s a fuckin’ boy.”
“There’s already too many of you lot,” Eden scoffed, then stepped forward, feeling Tommy’s eyes on her as she stood before Michael.
“It’s nice to meet you,” he nervously shook her hand, immediately thinking he maybe should’ve kissed her cheek or hugged her but, his cousin didn’t look like he would let her go. “Another Shelby?”
Before she could respond, Arthur did.
“Apart from John’s kin, Ada’s little one, you've got another cousin, little ankle biter,” he teased, earning a small smile from his cousin.
“Inara, spittin’ image of Eden but with Tommy’s eyes,” Polly informed her son, as Eden sat down with Tommy assisting.
Their six-year-old daughter was about to be seven, inquisitive and cheeky she was, whenever Inara would get grumpy she’d look like her father but whenever she was lively and joyful she was the very picture of her mum.
“Yeah, she’s a brat,” John’s words made the married couple snap their heads in his direction.
“Oi, you don’t want to compare children,” Tommy pointed out.
“Not with your roster Johnny,” Eden quipped, making the room chuckle.
John rolled his eyes, “Fuck off.”
Eden pointed at him, “You do not want to rile me up, It could induce labour you pillock and I’m not givin’ birth here.”
“Yeah, leave it John boy, you do not wanna see a kid come out of her,” Arthur said through his laughter.
Tommy playfully glared, “Stop talkin’ about my missus and my baby.”
Michael sat back, amused by the bickering. As first impressions go, he was pleasantly overwhelmed, the men were playing with their guns like toys before Tommy settled them. It was obvious Tommy ran things, he was the one who Michael first met. Tommy was confidant, powerful and very dangerous, that was clear, but his wife was something else. A beautiful woman, but to put up with this family, she had to have something up her sleeve.
“Where is Inara?” Michael asked, breaking the arguments flooding the room.
“She’s with my mum,” Eden spoke softly, stroking her bump.
“‘Nara threw a strop yesterday, sayin’ she didn’t want another sibling,” John stated.
Tommy huffed out a smile, “Well it’s too late for that.”
“She’s fuckin’ gettin’ one,” Eden agreed. “You’ll meet her soon Michael,” for the first time she looked at the boy, really looked at him, she saw his eyes, the detail swimming in his iris’, “My god you look so much like your mum.” She found herself choking back sobs, missing the joy on Polly’s face but catching the shock flashing across Michael’s. “Sorry, anythin’ and everythin’ gets the tears flowin’.”
John wasn’t shocked, “Cried over some flowers dyin’ didn’t you Edie?”
“Watch it,” Tommy warned, rubbing a hand over her back as she wiped her tears.
“Last week it was a candle blowin’ out.”
“And next time it’ll be a knife in your face,” Eden snapped, groaning at their laughter.
Michael was startled by the threat.
“There’s my girl,” Tommy pressed a kiss to her cheek before she pushed him away. “Pol, can you boil the kettle,” he noted the pot of tea was bare as were the cups.
Polly nodded, knowing how much Eden drank during her first pregnancy, her second was even worse.
Michael gulped, although no one apart from Tommy caught it. The teen lowered himself into a seat as his mother scolded his cousins for their poor habits, claiming she didn’t want him to mirror them.
“You should meet Isaiah, he’s around your age Michael,” Eden said, sending a look toward Tommy. “It’ll be good for you to make a friend.”
Michael nodded, listening to whatever advise he could take, eyes darting between Eden, trying not to get caught looking at her too much, and so he would look toward his cousin Tommy, who stroked her large bump and then his mum who returned with a cup and the steaming kettle fresh from the fire.
He occasionally heard the mumbles from his other two cousins — Finn and Ada, he hadn’t met yet — John and Arthur snickered off to the side, still stood up as if they were waiting to leave.
“… friends, what’s the point? They might end up like Eden and Grace,” Arthur whispered, quite harshly to his younger brother.
John’s mood soured at the mention, “That bloody barmaid.”
They knew not to mention Grace around Eden. Their sister-in-law fought she found a friend ever since Enzo and Martha passed and Dorris moved to London, but was a huge mistake. The Irish Woman’s betrayal caused the hole in Eden’s heart to grow as did her paranoia.
Tommy felt he should’ve protected her more, but he trusted Grace as a friend, especially since he didn’t have many female friends. But it costed him a bullet to the shoulder.
Even with Lizzie, Esme and Dorris from a far he was wary about everyone who surrounded the family, even if they were family.
Tommy was constantly thinking. Always.
“That won’t happen with Michael. Isaiah is loyal, you’ve seen him, Eden practically raised the boy,” John said quietly. “He’s Jimmy’s son.”
“I ain’t worried, we just have to be careful, not everyone’s a friend alright,” Arthur muttered, knowing that Isaiah wasn’t the one he didn’t trust.
“But family is family.”
The two broke apart to see Tommy right behind them. They didn’t even hear him move.
“Fuck, Tom,” John cursed, eyeing him.
“Keep your bloody trousers on,” Tommy scoffed, “you ready to go?”
“‘Course Tom,” Arthur nodded, shoving John forward, “you need to wear a fuckin’ bell on ya.”
“Yeah, alright.” Tommy smirked, then turned back to to the table, to see Eden sipping on some tea with a pensive look on her face. He pressed a kiss to her head as he stared at his Aunt, “Make sure he treats my Edie well, Pol.”
“Get going,” Eden playfully shoved Tommy away just as he gave her a chaste kiss on the lips.
“Don’t worry Michael, we’ll be back to show you, what’s what,” John grinned.
Polly gasped, “You’ll do no such thing!”
“Let’s leave ‘em boys,” Arthur said, “Wouldn’t wanna ruin the tea party.”
That had John snickering.
Michael smiled, watching as Tommy scanned Eden again.
The pregnant woman waved at him, “Bye, my love.”
“Darlin’, stay safe,” Tommy didn’t want to leave her for too long. “The both of you, alright.” He was pulled away by his brothers as he nodded at the mother-son duo, “Pol, Michael.”
When the door slammed shut behind them, Michael coyly smiled at his mum.
“They seem nice.”
Eden and Polly laughed.
The latter spoke, “They’re anythin’ but.”
Eden agreed, “But they’re your family, so got used to it.”
——
a/n:
I was thinking what if Eden met Michael before his corruption… so season 2.
